Had a very enjoyable dinner last night. First time trying this place and the service was great, place was clean, and the food was good. Granted there are some things I may not have cared for but, that's the point of a buffet isn't it? options because not everyone likes everything. There is a large variety of food here, truly something for everyone. The fried crab legs were seasoned well and so delicious, could've eaten those the entire time! Had to stop myself so I could try other things too. A previous poster mentioned them only putting out very little lobster at a time, that was not my experience. There was a pile of the lobster dish as well as lobster claws on ice. Another gem about this place is that they have a cold case for ice cream, Hershey's brand ice cream cups and ice cream sandwiches in a variety of flavors. Been here dozen times now. Lucky for me I always eat before noon. Not too big of crowd and fresh selection. Today I came on for lobster weekend all day dinner buffet for 11.99. Man I've eaten 3 whole lobsters. They cut them in half and baked with butter and mayonnaise like the crab casserole. Pretty good. Raw oyster weren't that good. Hibachi has two different type of beef cut, regular cut like other places but they had small cube cuts with alot fat left on, really delicious. Egg drop and hot sour soup on point. Blue crabs were cut in clusters and dry seasoned and fried. Taste great and easy to get meat out of soft shell with finger or teeth. Today they large group at back private room which they have 2 area to host parties or big gatherings. I tipped my waitress pretty good cause she must have came to clear my plates 7-8 times lol. WE ate there tonight, it was terrible. Even though some of the food had an ok flavor every thing was only slightly warm, to cool. The salads were slightly cool to warm. No the way I like my food! That environment is perfect for bacteria to grow in the food. Not being a fan of food poisoning, I will not return. I like my food HOT when it should be Hot and Cold when it should be cold!. There was steam coming up around the food containers but the food was still only slightly warm. The selection was expansive but not good. read more

The place is fairly priced and I love the sushi there, even though it is basic, it tastes good. The Hibachi is algo great, good selection of buffet food, but pretty much the same every day. The service is fast and friendly, not exceptional, but better than many asian-like restaurants where I have been. Overall, fair experience, no frills, just average decent food. read more

Would have done negative stars if possible! I know weekdays aren't as crowded as weekends but the food here looked old. A lot of it looked like it had been dumped from a pan two days old. We started with sushi which was actually decent (thank god or the price would have been a total waste! $36 for 2) but all went downhill after that. My daughters chicken was dry and hard. Crab Rangoon tasted like it wasn't cooked enough. The rolls were dry looking but sticky to touch. The ranch for salad tasted bitter. The won ton in the soup was mushy. The worst part was as I was attempting to pick a dessert in hopes that maybe it could end on a better note, I was completely grossed out. A waitress leaned on an ice machine, took down her mask and made a phlegm lugee sound that made me gag. She then pulled her mask back up and grabbed a pitcher of water to serve. We had eaten here before and it was typical for a Chinese buffet. We went back tonight and it was awful. None of the hot food was the least bit hot and most of it was barely warm. The crab salad was tepid not cold. I finally resorted to get Mongolian so that I could have something hot. That and the ice cream were the meal highlights. read more

We ate our Christmas dinner here so that I didn't have to cook. Thank God somebody is open! They are doing their best to be covid-safe: gloves, masks, spacing, sneeze guards. I always start out with two plates and I fill them up. If I am hungry, I'll also take a bowl of egg drop soup (ymm). I probably put 30 different things on my plates to eat so that I can decide what I want to eat for 2nds. I can never fit 2nds in and very seldom, do I throw away any of their food because it is too tough or nasty. I never get to the dessert because the main course is soooo good! Formerly this restaurant was the Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet that closed unexpectedly in April 2017. So after misleading signs saying the restaurant was being renovated, what really seemed to happen was it was sold and bought by The Flaming Grill Buffet. The restaurant did get a minor makeover if you call it a makeover. I liked the old way better personally. They took down dividers so you are seated very close to nearby tables by complete strangers. Also they removed many booths so there are very few and mostly tables with chairs. They officially opened last Saturday. Now to the food which was okay. The Hibachi Grill had a nice selection of raw veggies, beef, chicken, steak and shrimp. You pick out your selections then give it to the cook and he cooks it in front of you. The cook was very slow and had a big line waiting. He only cooked six people's food at a time wasting a huge amount of space on the grill. The former Hibachi Grill chef had it down to a science. He would cook 10 to 15 people's food at a time and kept the line moving. So finally he asked what sauce I wanted. I chose brown sauce not even knowing what the hell that was. Other choices were soy and teriyaki sauce. When I got back to the table I was excited to dig in. I forgot the shrimp sauce that I like to add on the top. I went back to get it, they have a white and a shrimp sauce. Both were in a big squirt pump and disgusting. Looked and tasted like mayonnaise. The food itself was good but bland I'm sure because of the sauce. The former Hibachi had this awesome garlic sauce that really made the food pop. They also have a big sushi bar that after two attempts remained mostly empty because the guy couldn't keep up. What I did try was just okay. Again I like to dip my sushi into shrimp sauce and theirs left a lot to be desired. They have a large Chinese buffet variety and some American food as well. This food that I tried was pretty good but nothing to write home about. The wontons we're rubbery so that was a let down. Chicken on a stick had a funny flavor that I didn't care for. I enjoyed most of the items I tried though. Dessert was another let down other than the fried Chinese donuts. Ice cream was little cups and bars that were boring. They have the normal selection of those little nasty cakes on the bar as well. They had a chocolate fountain with a few things you could dip into it. The chocolate wasn't even warm. Now for the prices which was ridiculous for the food quality. $10.25 for adults and $6.99 for kids. Way more expensive than the former and no way near as good. The drinks were around $2 each. Our bill was $48 for 3 adults and 1 child. Pretty sure we will not be back unless they make a lot of changes and drop their prices. Simply not worth it to me. I had very high expectations and was sadly very disappointed. Hoping the old Hibachi reopens somewhere. read more

We are in the process of moving to Kannapolis and Love Chinese so we decided to try them out. Well first let me say, the service was my favorite part, our waitress and other staff we encountered were some of the nicest restaurant workers. The food was ok and they had a nice selection. I wasn't a fan of the hibachi, the noodles were over cooked and hard. We came because of the lobster but was sadly disappointed when we had to wait an hour for them to come to buffet..and they literally only put out like 6 at a time. We were done and stuffed by the time the lobsters came out but we wanted to try them so we made room....we were sadly disappointed...mushy and over cooked! Oh dear! Our China Buffet is undergoing renovation, so we decided to give Flaming Buffet a try. Upon entering, we were greeted by the hostess....in what seemed to be her nicest sweatpants. The place was fairly clean looking, but the decor was very...slim. The busboy had an issue keeping his jeans up and the little girl tending the buffet was too busy on her phone with her ear buds to notice the patrons who tried to get her attention or get past her. She wasn't even trying to talk quietly. I felt like I was at home and my teenagers were manning dinner... Almost thirty dollars for two semi okay buffet plates and Cokes. On Oct,21/2020 around 11:30am I visited Flaming Chinese Buffet located at 3000 Cloverleaf Pkwy, Kannapolis, NC 28083. Food that was cooked a day before was reheated and served on the buffet. The food was discolored burnt from reheating!!a Some hot food items were cold. Food is old !!!!EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!!! After leaving I felt stomach ache and had to vomit. This will be an honest assessment of this restaurant. I have been here when it was the Hibachi grill and now under the name of Flaming Grill and Buffet. So besides those comparisons, I am a well traveled foodie. It is my deepest hope that the new owners listen to the advice given by their customers. Lets start with the grill part. So the yellow noodles need to be placed in same column with white rice because these are "bases" for your dish and this prevents vegetables/meats from being dropped in them. Now the brown sauce. This sauce is very bland. If they would mix the brown and soy sauces together then it might be alright. Also the shrimp sauce leaves a lot to be desired. The steak on the grill side needs to be trimmed before hand. Also the beef on the grill side needs to be trimmed before being sliced to thin pieces. The way it is now there is more cubes of just fat than beef. The chicken on a stick is also bland and ranges from cooked nicely to brick hard. Try adding flavor to them and cooking them more evenly. The Terriyaki chicken on a stick is better than what you have and has a great flavor. The other food on the buffet were more often cold than not. Then last but not least the desserts need to be scrapped and start new. I have tasted desserts from a Wal-Mart deli case better than what is offered here. I don't know why this place is getting low reviews. All of the food is fresh, and the hibachi is delicious! The guy who cooked my ribeye cooked it to order (medium rare,) andseasoned it with Montreal steak seasoning. It was sooooo good! They have added an "all you can eat" crab legs to their buffet for an additional charge. This is beyond false advertising and a scam. They have ONE small pan of them on a cart that gets refilled about every 20 minutes. So, if you're not in line when the staff decides to meander their way from the back and refill it, you're out of luck! read more
