On Friday, 5/24/2024 my family and I were at the restaurant eating and saw a couple eating or rather trying to eat her chicken was so hard when she showed the waitress how hard it was she tried to pick it up with her fork and it shot off the plate across the table. When the waitress went back to talk to the "manager" he said she picked it it was hers. They, the manager and cooks, were back in the kitchen using awful language and laughing about it. When you just want good Asian food, Nikki's got your back. I've been eating here for around ten years now. By now I've had nearly everything from the menu, minus the kids food and cheesecakes. I recommend all of it. The beef is tender, pork is crispy, chicken is moist. There was a very brief time where the veggies weren't great, I think it was a supplier issue, but that got sorted pretty fast. The two things that have my heart though, the lo mein (any version of it) and the dumplings. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. They're perfectly cooked, every time. The sauce is savory without being salty. And it's not just me that feels this way. My friends will now drive from Kannapolis and Concord in order to eat at Nikki's. It's not a big place, even though they expanded not too long ago, but that just adds to the feeling of eating a home cooked meal prepared with care. read more

I was very underwhelmed by Nikki's. I ordered crab Rangoon but it didn't come with the red sweet sauce that usually comes with crab Rangoon. Also, it had no crab in it. Should have been labeled cheese wonton. I always order the same thing when I order Chinese. Hot sour soup, scallion chicken, lo mein, and one of their specials. I got Thai coconut chicken since the other Chinese place in the area doesn't have that. It was more expensive than the other local place in town and it wasn't as good. For example I usually get a quart of hot sour soup for $4.50 with two packs of fried noodles. Nikki charges $3 for half that. You're better off going to Jin Jin. Both options arent terrific but at least Jin Jin is cheaper and their menu is honest. read more

This is the best Asian place in town. The food is great and the service is friendly. The second my friend and I walk in we are recognized and seated by a smiling face. Boyfriend and I went here for dinner. I just recently moved here so this place is new to me. First noticed there's only 1 waitress when the place was full. She literally was running back and forth between tables and the kitchen. I actually felt bad for her. Took a little while with the current situation to get drinks or even be greeted. I wanted to order soup and a appetizer which took awhile. Everything was really slow since the one server had no help. The soup and appetizer ended up coming out with our entrees which was kind of annoying. Unfortunately it was not the best Chinese food I've ever had. The Pepsi we had did not taste right as it did not have enough carbonation in it. So we ended up switching drinks. My boyfriend ordered the miso soup which was different than any other I had. But I didn't think it was terrible. The crab Rangoon was mostly cream cheese, very little krab in them. I ordered moo goo gai pan, which again was very different than what I'm used too. And the boyfriend ordered the bourbon chicken which he said was good. We asked for half fried rice and half lo mein noodles. The waitress said she'd find out if they could do that. Apparently they could but I was not told there would be an up-charge until I received the receipt. Over all not horrible, but not the best. read more

Actually pretty good, the food was better than anticipated, and quite frankly better than most of the other restaurants in the area as far as Asian cuisine goes. We were pretty impressed, my only hangup was two things. The egg rolls kind of tasted like oil and were not very good, the spring rolls were good though. Also the cheesecake that they have in their display case is definitely 100% from the cheesecake factory. The two pieces that we paid $9 each for!! Yes you heard that correctly their cheesecake slices are $9 a piece! Don't get me wrong I would have no problem paying that price if we were actually at the cheesecake factory and they were fresh. Definitely they were a few days old and at a local Asian cuisine restaurant a little bit pricey, they did not taste great. But overall it was what you would think it would be and may be a little bit better. Their noodle dishes are solid. Pricing seems to be equal to everybody else in the area maybe a tad on the high side, but either way it's worth a try. read more

We are new to the area and have been searching for a good chinese restaurant in the area. We found Nikki Asian Bistro and saw it had pretty good ratings. We couldn't get there quick enough, as we have be craving some good chinese food. After just a couple bites we were so very disappointed in our General Tso's dinner. The non- existent chicken in the deep fried dough was tough an we bit through the pieces and there was NO CHICKEN at all. That is an expensive dish when you consider it consisted of fried rice, deep fried dough with sauce on it and a small egg roll! They took 10.00 off our bill of over 40.00 and told us that is just how they make their General Tso's. I explained to them, that they are making alot of money for dough that is deep fried with sauce. The food is over priced for what you get. The waitress offers to make substitutions but fails to tell you that there is an up charge, leaving you surprised when your bill comes. I have eaten here many times for lunch, but never in the area for dinner. The service is excellent, especially when they get to know you. They always offer to put my iced tea in a to go cup. The food is always hot and fresh. I love the soups, especially the hot and sour soup. I found the sushi to be good and fresh, but mostly the standard sushi you find everywhere. They do have a nice amount of different rolls for selection. There are some dishes I love (Orange Chicken), and some not so much - thus the 4 star rating. My meal was $10, on the signed receipt. I noticed my bank account the next day that I was charged $20. My coworkers also looked at their accounts and they were overcharged also. Went to talk to the manager on duty, excuses. Can't give me my money back, can't call the owner to talk to them, can't look up signed receipt etc....They made $30 without our consent. We tried to like this place, many times. Their food is just NOT GOOD. The quality is terrible and they are very overpriced due to the quality provided. My husband and I can eat pretty much anything and many times we have brought the food home and just threw it away, being really disappointed. They also have $9 slices of cheesecake they say is from the Cheesecake Factory. After tasting it and having gone to the Cheesecake Factory many times I would have to say that claim is a stretch. I've eaten here several times, both dine-in and takeout. The food has always been delicious and the staff has been great. Everyone I've eaten with has agreed that their dishes were excellent. Plus, it is one of the few places around where you can still find Egg Foo Young on the menu! I haven't tried the sushi, but other menu items seem to be prepared with high quality ingredients. It has a pleasant dine-in ambiance and is nicely decorated inside. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that some of the dishes I have ordered had pretty small portion sizes, not enough to fill you up if you are really starving. best Asian food! they make it fresh, even their own sauces. want it spicy, want it plain, no rice, more vegetables, low carb,, no problem! great for gluten free diets, too. my friends drive from Charlotte, to eat their spring rolls and the seafood specialty with lobster tail under $20.00 can't be beat! we often eat here for two under $25.00! And they have added a desert case with lots of yummy cheese cakes like Godiva Chocolate and red velvet..And miso soup is good for you, it even protects against radiation..hopefully none of us will need that.. ha ha. their egg drop soup isn't greasy like all the other places, great for colds and flu..and I love their crunchy noodles.. everything is good here! Lo mein was mushy and flavorless. Dumplings were bland and badly cooked. Shrimp with cashews had no cashews and was slimy and tasteless (aside from the fishy frozen taste of the shrimp). Been here a couple of times each time is worse, agreed with Michelle never see the same waitress. The food quality went down hill, I think the owners are moving towards a cheaper direction in food quality. Realized when i got home some things on my receipt didn't reflect what i ordered the chinese lady at the counter added two additional egg rolls to my ticket. I don't know if they are trying to scam money or if it was an honest mistake. I dont think i will be going back, the service was horrible it was just only the boss lady ( i believe) herself working no smiles nothing maybe it's just a language barrier but don't open a restaurant if you can't speak English well, the place was not busy at the time i would expect a little more service for a sit down restaurant. Try to avoid this place if you want real asian food go down the street or some place else. I hope they bring back some quality food because my family and I once enjoy dinning in. read more
