Between the inconsistency with staff, the over chlorinating and shocking my pool weekly, the 30+ emails a month from flamingo pools, multiple incorrect invoices, lack of communication and customer service, I have decided cancel services with this company and go back to doing it myself over a month ago. Now I am being charged for MORE chemicals after complaining on more than one occasion on you guys adding too many chemicals to my pool. I will go ahead and pay the $20 but I do want people to know this this company is a cash cow for the actual amount of time the spend "cleaning and adding chemicals" to my pool. I canceled service after four months of service. In the four months of service, the pool technician didn't show up several times. When the pool tech did come, most times, the pool tech "forgot" to brush the pool walls or floor. In fact, I'm pretty sure the tech never used chemicals either. If he did, he had to be a magician as I was never able to see him do so on any of the backyard video cams. We were lucky to get him to show... Half the time, there were rocks and dead leaves left in my pool. I paid this company in full prior to canceling service. I didn't leave a review then b/c the owner pleaded a some sob story about them not finding good help. I just let it be. .paid in full. Fast forward to two months later, I received an invoice billing me for "chemicals" they claim were used and not billed for. I am now leaving a review.. Go elsewhere.. read more

We had these guys do our weekly pool service for about 5 months and let's just say we are not impressed. They started off skipping us a couple weeks in a row. Which they discounted back to us, but not a great first impression. Then they tried to get us to by things for our pool that we don't really need at a significant price increase. They also never ran a vacuum when they did or service. We are used to our service running a vacuum occasionally in addition to the auto vacuum. We are just glad that it was winter so we didn't get a green pool. I wish bread the reviews before we tried them. read more

The worst service ever! Hired to drain pool, refill and weekly service . After pool refill no service for 3 weeks, returned from out of town to a green swamp pool . Gate left open by tech dogs got out, pool equipment on wrong mode , sweeper not hooked up. New salt cell installed cost of $1,400 has yet to work,. service appointments for replacement of replaced cell have not been kept. No reply from numerous emails , texts and non anwered phone calls . Our pool company merged with Flamingo in August 2024. Since the merger, we've had a new technician every week and a route change every week. Each technician recommended different things. We bought new parts only for the next technician to say we didn't need it, which wasted significant money. Our pool equipment was in great working condition prior to the merger and we had issues every week when they took over. One visit, our automatic refill valve was turned off and our water was 12 inches lower than normal. The tech said nothing. Then our pool stopped filtering completely due to changes they made, running our motor and filter dry. I am beyond frustrated with the company and their poor communication. When contacted to stop service, they didn't even respond until I asked for confirmation. All they said was "confirmed." They did not ask what the problem was or reach out for service recovery. There are so many great pool companies out there, do yourself a favor and use someone else. read more

PLEASE read all the reviews below and choose a different service. To put it briefly they are unreliable, poor communicators and the service isn't even effective. I could go on and on but here are some of the lows: - Before service even began the communication was poor. After accepting/paying the online quote, no one reached out to schedule our first service, so I left a voicemail asking when our service would begin. Didn't hear back for several days. Finally called again and got a hold of them and they said 'oh looks like you're on the schedule for Wednesday.' No one had even asked how to access/unlock our backyard so I proactively provided them that info. - On our first scheduled service was on a Wednesday and the technician didn't show up. At 6:30 pm someone knocked on the door which could have been them, but our house sitter didn't feel comfortable answering the door. Not sure if it was them, but no one serviced the pool that day as they were supposed to. There shouldn't have been a need to speak with us since we provided written and photo instructions on how to access the yard. No pool cleaned that day. - Two days later, Friday, they showed up randomly and cleaned the pool. I figured it was fine and it was a miscommunication, but we were unhappy when less that 48 hours after our first service there there was alge growing in the pool... - On our most recent service Our RV gate that faces the street was left wide open. Nice to come home and see they didn't lock up! - I can never get a hold of anyone. They do not return calls or answer any questions. I am constantly chasing this company down, it's such a headache. - Every service we had a new technician, each of them said they didn't know how to get into our yard - one of them told us that they simply chose not to read the notes on our account. We were going to use them for lawn service as well, but will definitely not. We have left flamingo pools and switched to SWM SZN - I'd highly recommend using them instead! We are so happy with this choice as they are a small business, veteran owned who have been wonderful communicators. Save yourself the stress and time management and do not use flamingo. read more

I've been with Flamingo Pools about 3 years. They have excellent service for my weekly pool needs. Recently, I had to change out the filters which are critical to a clean pool. Flamingo Pool officials quoted me a reasonable price, picked up the item and installed it and my pool continue to run fine. I was grateful for them finding and purchasing the part, because I was quite concerned about my ability to find it and have the correct items as well as the overall hassle of picking up the needed parts. Additionally, I appreciate their willingness and ability to reschedule my weekly maintenance for another day in the week especially when I have forgotten to unlock the gate on my actual day of service. Again, I've been with them for some time and their customer service and timely pool service and response is excellent. read more

We used this company for a year and despite feeling like the service was nominally acceptable; we finally pulled the plug in May 2025 after they cancelled our account mid-April for absolutely no reason and without notice. We were out of town the whole month of April and noticed that the pool was in poor shape when we returned. Upon calling the customer service number, we were told the account had been closed mid-month, but they could not tell us who had initiated that action or why. When we pointed out that we had already been billed (and automatically paid) for May, despite the closure of the account, again no explanation was available. We then officially terminated the service and were promised a refund for May and part of April, which has yet to be received. To make things worse, we were just billed for June and we are unable to access the client portal to remove the credit card information that is set up for automatic payment. Absolutely do not use this company for your pool or landscaping needs. read more

I've given one star ONLY because I couldn't leave NO STARS. This is the most unreliable service company I have EVER dealt with. Before hiring them I discussed with the owner that I had already purchased chemicals for the season and did not need someone to come and drop a chlorine tab in my floater once a week for $100/mo. I needed someone to come and brush the pool walls & steps, skim debris, empty skimmer baskets & leaf filter and check that my equipment was operating properly. That was done beautifully on the first day, but they put a new kid on my job after that and after 2 months of "servicing" my pool I discovered that he had NEVER done anything but a dipstick test and adding their chemicals instead of the ones I had left out for him to use per my agreement with the company PRIOR to hiring them. When I called and informed Camryn of this she apologized profusely and said they would put me on their service managers route so this would not happen again. I also made clear that I expected a refund of 50% of what i had paid for the prior 2 months, and that was being generous because Jacob had not even done half of what he should have been doing. This was blaringly obvious when he was sent back for a 2nd time in the week that I noticed he had not done anything but throw some shock into the pool to complete the job he hadn't done properly and I actually had to SHOW him where the skimmer baskets, leaf cannister and pump baskets were located...and THEN had to instruct him on how to remove the skimmer baskets and where the trash can was to empty them into when I saw him scooping the debris out of them with his hands and tossing it into the gravel alongside the pool decking. To add insult to injury, he STILL left without emptying the leaf cannister or pump basket and when I texted him as he was driving down my street to inform him that he had still NOT completed the job he replied, "I'm sorry, I didn't see them....but I did empty the skimmer baskets". I then asked if he was coming back and he did not respond or return. After that I was put on the service managers route (the same guy who had come the very first time and done the job correctly) and he DID properly service my pool. He asked how long it had been since we'd drained and refilled the pool because the chemical balance had gotten so far off he pointed out that the chlorine level was far too low even after throwing 4 bags of shock into the pool, and there was some green algae forming on the back wall that he could not brush off and was surprised when I told him it had just been done at the end of last season when I had turned the pool green by using too much algaecide. He suggested (and I agreed) that the best way to deal with that would be to drain and refill if the chemicals were still way off when he came the following week b/c it would be far less expensive than trying to balance with costly chemicals. The following week he came back and b/c the chemicals were still so imbalanced he did not add anything. Instead, he said they would put me on the schedule to do a drain and refill early the following week. Shortly afterward I received an invoice for the regular monthly fee PLUS an additional fee for chemicals and I immediately replied that this MUST be a joke because we had discussed either a partial refund of the previous months payments, or NO bill for this month and would not pay them another penny until I spoke with the owner. Camryn immediately replied that she would call me to straighten out the billing "mistake" but I never did receive another call from her or the owner. I never did hear from them about doing the drain and refill early in the week as the service manager had told me, and by 1pm on Friday as I was getting ready to leave for the weekend I had not seen or heard from the service guy about him coming to do the regular servicing but had a neighbor on call to unlock the gate if I heard from him. I never did. BUT today I opened my email to see an email from Flamingo pools with a photo of my locked gate saying that my pool service had been completed!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! read more

I have not been able to get in contact with the office for over a month despite my emails, calls, voice messages and even talking to the guy who services my home to relay info. Absolutely terrible pool service company. We have been pool owners in the valley for 22 years and Flamingo Pools is the worst we have had. Their billing department must be run by actual Flamingo's as they cannot get your billing correct and then send you to a collection person who HOUNDS you for payment but has zero authority or idea about the billing. All she cares about is collecting money, which is her job. They will randomly add a fee with no explanation. They recently added $100 to the bill when we asked what that was for, they said cartridge cleaning. I checked the system and they had not been cleaned. That is theft via billing. Our weekly pool service tech is not empowered and can't answer any questions and has to "call it in." It's a black hole as you have to constantly chase them down for information. They did a recent repair that wasn't inexpensive which caused a new issue. The new issue is that our Spa drains at night and throughout the day. This is new post the repair. I asked that they please remedy this issue and I get no response. Terrible company. read more

Had billing issues with them regarding weekly pool service. Need to closely monitor financial accounts with them. Decided to use them for a drain, acid wash, and refill (chemicals). Their tech used faulty drain hoses, saw it was leaking, and left for the day anyway. I discovered my back yard was being flooded by salty pool water. The day they were going to come out for the actual wash they said they wouldn't make it and could come the next day. They did not come the next day either. Tech finally came out a couple days after he said he would and did the acid wash and began refilling pool. Pool has been refilled and it's been several weeks. Tech never returned to add starting chemicals. I added my own chemicals as to not let the pool sit there without. Had contact with Flamingo Pools recently, as I paid a deposit for the service they are now asking for more money even though they never completed the full service I had requested and received estimate for. read more

Used this company for almost 3 years. Started off with a wonderful experience with my first tech who was consistent for over a year. After that, it was a constant stream of new faces who didn't always know what they were doing. Algae problems began, then a green pool and spa, then wanting to drain the pool in the heat of the summer. NO! Dropped Flamingo. Went with a new company and now my pool has never looked better even in one of the hottest summers on record. read more

called because I have a leak, I have never used Flamingo pools before. I explained that the leak was coming from underground as I had already replaced the pool equipment that had been leaking. I was told they would be at my home at around 12 noon on a Friday but I had to pay $100 up front for a diagnostic fee but if they do the repairs on the pool then that money would go towards the final bill. They never showed up. I called at 4 pm to find out what was going on after waiting all day only to be told it was Veterans Day and they weren't coming. needless to say I was extremely upset. I had already paid the money so I reluctantly scheduled another appointment. They did show up only to tell me they don't do under ground leaks! Why wasn't I told this when I called? He told me he would check into refunding my money and get back to me. Never heard from them again and when you call the number it says they are closed regardless of the time. This pool service does not even deserve "one" star. Please do not use this pool service. The owner needs more business training and customer service skills. In the one year we used this service, we experienced the following: 1. They put a mineral treatment in our pool (never get this as it is totally useless) that caused a blue ring around the pool. It took us 2-3 weeks to resolve the issue and to the best of my knowledge the owner was looking up info on the internet on how to resolve the issue. Geez! 2. Had employee come to do our weekly service and we caught him saying he did the service but my Ring doorbell video said he did nothing. The owner did not believe me until I provided him with the Ring video. 3. For Christmas and New Year's weeks didn't tell us services would not be provided until the Thursday before the Christmas week started. Basically told customers they were on their own with their pools during those two weeks where we got lots of rain and leaves in the pool. 4. Had some kind of a "scam" Christmas give away to get more customers for himself. Not sure what that was except to benefit himself. Never, ever use this pool service. read more

Recently changed to Flamingo from another pool maintenance company. I will tell you that so far Flamingo has been great adding a variety of products to get my pool back up to standards. They show up regularly and spend enough time to do a good job. We also get an emailed report each week including picture and list of all services done. Recommend you try them if your current maintenance company is not doing a good job. read more

Incredible service. I got in touch with Flamingo Pools via Yelp, they got back to me quickly and had someone out to inspect the pool within a day. Steve was fantastic. He took the pump apart, found the problem and fixed an issue that I thought was going to require a $1500 replacement pump for $200. No need for multiple visits, no "We'll see if we can fit you in." He showed up, figured it out, sourced the appropriate replacement parts, and fixed everything day-of. This is easily the best and most responsive pool company of the several I've reached out to lately. What a great feeling to no longer have to search for one. read more

Horrible service. I had them provide weekly service for my pool during the months of June and July while I was out of town. I returned to find the door to my control panel wide open with a corresponding red service light on indicating a fault to my salt cell. It looks like the fault had been on the entire summer. They obviously didn't see it and/or didn't care. Instead of fixing it or at the very least notifying me they instead decided to just add chlorine tabs to the skimmer. I have been trying to get them to come out and diagnose and fix the problem for over a month and they refuse to come out. Very disappointing to say the very least.
