Shark Attack Cheeze Fries with beach sauce
    Shannon M.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Everything about the appearance of this place, from the menu font to the neon sign, was a '90s nostalgia trip in the best way possible.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had lunch here and chose a few items from their huge menu. I got the "tiki torches" (coconut chicken fingers that came with "lizard sauce" [a bbq sauce?] and tangerine honey); neither of the sauces really did it for me (maybe a honey mustard would have been better than just straight honey), but the chicken was good. I also got a side of their pasta salad since I love Hawaiian Mac salad and this was a tasty version. My husband ordered the Shark Attack Cheeze Fries, covered with molten cheese and bacon and served with "beach sauce" (the sauces could use better descriptors, honestly). A full order was HUGE so he had leftovers. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The setting was very fun with a beachy vibe (obviously!) and we had a friendly, efficient server.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For a bite of the beach in Paducah, check out Flamingo Row!

We waited an hour to be seated while we watched nearly everyone else be seated and were the only ones left waiting. After being extremely patient, we finally asked the hosts when we would get our table. We were told, "we texted you 30 minutes ago." I showed them my phone, no text. What's worse is they made no effort to see if we were still waiting. Which left us wondering if they'd even notice us if we were still waiting by closing time. This was irresponsible by a host staff that either didn't care or was oblivious to their customers' needs.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Stopped by for lunch with work friends. Not what I expected - fun island vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ordered the Riki Tiki tacos - crunchy chicken, salsa and dip was fun to eat. Service was friendly. Will definitely come back.

Love this place so much. Great variety on the menu and a pretty good value. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute inside and I dream about the fries.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Can't go wrong with a visit to Flamingo Row

I really loved the fries! Not sure what exactly they were seasoned with (maybe garlic and Parmesan?) but they were sooooo addicting I couldn't stop eating them. I also got the coconut chicken which I wasn't a huge fan of. The coconut batter just didn't go too great on the chicken tenders and they were a little rubbery. I tried the key lime pound cake which was face puckering-ly sweet. I would not get that again. The service was okay but it was within an hour of closing so I know they were busy cleaning up. Not going to lie though, I'd come back for those fries!

Monte Cristo was so good with the stuffed soft baked bread.

We showed up right at opening, five o'clock, and there was already a long line of people waiting to get in. Make a reservation. I'm glad we did. We had a party of four and was seated at a low top that had a view of the kitchen. Lively open space with an open kitchen you can see both the cook line and the prep area. The cornbread was the unexpected standout of the entire meal. Mildly sweet, savory, light and fluffy all the way through. I was not expecting a side dish to steal the show, but it did. We also ordered the double stuffed burrata, and the bread it came with deserves its own mention. Crisp, lightly toasted, with just a touch of char. It paired beautifully with the creamy burrata and the accompaniments on the plate. For my entree I went with the grilled Caesar salad and added shrimp. It ended up being the perfect call. The portion was generous, the shrimp addition made it feel like a real meal. The romaine had this excellent crisp char on it that added so much. The dressing was heavenly. One of the best Caesar dressings I have had in a while. My favorite parts of the night had nothing to do with what was on my plate. We got to watch chef Sara Bradley working the kitchen with her team during service, and it was clear why this place has the reputation it does. I'd love to come back and try the prix fixe tasting menu next time. Overall this was a great experience from start to finish. And a must stop or destination when driving through KY.

We had been here over the summer, and stopped by with our daughter to share the experience. Service is always good, and some of the food is great. It seemed like the 1 inch porkchop was not as good as the gigantic one I had last time, but I coykd be crazy. My husband woukd say I was crazy, so there is that. My daughter loved her fish. The mashed potatoes with white gravy were so good, I ate those first. Hubby asked for a garden salad with salmon. He got a spinach salad with salmon. Our server brought it out and offered to have it remade, but the salad looked wonderful and he really enjoyed it. Kudos to the chef for standing his ground haha. We were too full for dessert. Highly recommend, for the experience and the cute period clothing. Get reservations though! We have to wait over an hour on our first visit. We made reservations the 2nd time and we're seated within 10 minutes.

The locals greeted me like I'd just come back from a long trip instead of walking in for the first time. Either they're incredibly friendly or they thought I needed supervision. Either way, solid welcome. Service was minimal in the best possible way. No hovering, life story, or unnecessary check-ins. Just quick, friendly, and efficient, like they understood I came to eat, not start a long term relationship. Now here's where things take a turn: the food has no business being this good. I ordered the Southside Supreme Pizza, and I'm still trying to figure out how a place that looks like it could host a darts league championship is casually putting out world class pizza. I've had pizza from all over the world and this place can hold its own. Thin, perfectly crispy crust, fresh ingredients, and enough cheese to make you question your priorities but not your choices. It's like the pizza didn't get the memo about where it was being served. So yeah, I give it 5 stars. Come for the dive bar charm, stay because the food quietly outperforms half of the "fancy" places that make you wait 45 minutes for a table and then serve you a disappointment on a wooden board. I'll definitely be back. Next time I might even try to look like I belong.
