My husband and I just visited Flamingo Row for lunch. The inside is decorated really cute and unique. It appeared to be very clean and well cared for. Service was good and food was very good. I got the Jamaican Jam - sausage, shrimp, onions, and other things with a jamaican rice. It was really spicy and very good. It would have been even better with some kind of sauce or a mango salsa. I asked if they had any kind of salsa and the server said they had a pico de gallo type. He brought me some and it made the dish even better! It brightened it up a little. My husband got the meatloaf. It had bananas in it and a tangy sauce. He really liked it (I didn't care for it but I'm not a big fan of meatloaf anyway). He definitely got a big portion of it. I enjoyed our meal and experience there and would definitely go again if I'm back in the area. I would recommend giving it a try. They had a fairly diverse menu, so anyone can find something to try. read more

I would give this restaurant 5 stars but it took about an hour to get our food. I don't feel like it is really the restaurant's fault because in our area it's hard to get people to go back to work. The waitress we had was working a large section and she did an OUTSTANDING job!!!! This is definitely a restaurant to go to when the doors open or at non-peak hours. There was 5 of us at our table and everyone LOVED the food! My side was potato salad - it was to die for (but the amount they give you is really to much for one person. My sandwich was so good loaded with bacon and turkey, again hugh amount of turkey! Next time I am going to have to bring my to go container. There was so much I could have brought home 1/2 sandwich and potato salad for my husband! We will definitely be back!!!!! Make sure you have the time to wait if you come during peak times. This should be called "Flamingo Death Row". No Caribbean flavor or flavor at all detected. I paid $14.50 for the mahi mahi tacos and the salsa was somehow dry and the fish was as dry and flavorless as the sand of the key west beach this establishment is supposedly inspired by. The "tiki torches" are supposed to be chicken skewers with coconut breading but it was more like a hunk of tough chicken breast breaded with more sand, maybe a flake or two or coconut, and zero grains of salt or any other seasoning for that matter. The roast beef sandwich with au jus was, again, FLAVORLESS and the potato salad it came with tastes like plastic. We were so excited to come here because the food sounds so good and we were extremely impressed with the decor and the service, but the food had us looking around and wondering what the hell was going on. I met one of my best friends here for lunch. After having not seen each other for about 8 years, we wanted to find a fun place for our mini reunion. Flamingo Row was a great choice. Caribbean beachy decor, awesome food, and a wonderful server. We started off ordering drinks and appetizers. I had a Seascape Sangria which was fruity and refreshing. She had a Tahitian Tattoo which was very tropical and coconut forward. We started out with tiki torches, which are coconut chicken strips served with lizard sauce (a raspberry jam) and tangerine honey. They were perfectly cooked, flavorful and not at all dry, as chicken can sometimes be. The jam and the honey were just the right dipping sauces. We also ordered some lava lava dip, which is jalapeno pimento cheese dip topped with bacon and served with tortilla chips. Very tasty. We probably could have made a meal of the appetizers alone, but we wanted to further explore the menu. She had a Cuban Mojo sandwich which she said was good as it looked. I opted for something with a bit of kick, and had the Jamaican Jam, which is some of the best jambalaya I've ever put in my mouth. I filled up on appetizers, so I had a lot of leftovers to bring home. I also ordered a couple of slices of key lime pound cake to take home. The pound cake was out of this world...moist, great flavor, and just enough raspberry sauce to take it over the top. Our server was Laura, I think? She was friendly, and patiently answered all of out menu questions, and even questions about the community. Flamingo Row was a spectacular experience, and I'm going to try to visit again. Y'all should seriously consider selling Tshirts and other island souvenirs. Also, please consider expanding outside of Paducah. You'd be a welcome addition to the Clarksville and/or Nashville areas. read more

Spending the night in Paducah and came across this place on Yelp and decided to give it a go. We had to wait about 15 minutes for our party of two since it was a busy Friday night. There were lots of fun alcoholic drinks to choose from. I had the mahi mahi tacos (without avocado) with sour cream and cilantro lime rice. The tortillas tasted AMAZING! Unlike any that I've had before. There wasn't too much fish on each taco but there was a mound of cheese. Honestly, tasted more like a quesadilla with how much cheese there was. The rice was a tad bit dry too but not too bad. That is me being picky - overall the food was pretty good though! The place is also super cute! Lots of fun colors and beach umbrellas! read more

Thouroughly disappointing. For a place with so many great reviews I expected at least a half-decent meal. If I hadn't gotten takeout I would have returned both things I ordered. On top of that, there were four items I wanted and they only had two of them. The Shipwreck sounded good on the menu, but it turns out it's just stale room temperature bread with slightly melted cheeses. The jerk chicken rice was almost inedible. The rice was tasteless and the chicken tasted like a refrigerator. I guess it's my good luck they didn't have all four things I wanted or I'd likely have even more to complain about. read more

We're in town for the night and saw this and figured it would be a nice change of pace. Boy, were we right! We placed a pickup order. When we went to pick it up, it was 20 minutes to close and they were still packed! That's a good sign in my book. I ordered the tiki torches to start. Coconut breaded chicken sold me. The honey was delicious and the chicken was perfectly crispy and full of flavor. So good! For my entree, I chose the Jamaican Jam. It sounded so good that I ordered the large and I'm glad I did! It was a big enough serving for dinner and leftovers for lunch tomorrow. The ratio of meats to veggies was perfect. The seasoning was phenomenal. I hope I can come back through Paducah again soon because this was the best dinner of my trip! read more

When I saw Caribbean restaurant I was thinking actual Caribbean food--fried plantains, fish in banana leaves...not so much. This is a kitch knock off of a Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville. I would have been happy for tiki bar. Unfortunately I was disappointed. (But still better than some of the other options around KDV) So first off service was soooo slow. We ordered cocktails but those took forever. My friend ordered what I think they called fire sticks which was a stuffed breadstick cut in to pieces. Our drinks came. They tasted pretty much the same (orange, coconut & rum). I ordered the tiki torches which is coconut chicken on a stick. One of the sauces was something that tasted smokey like cigarette smoke. The other sauce was orange honey which was actually good. IMHO, the chicken was over cooked and the tender coconut flavor was ruined. (Maybe the oil needs to be changed) I really wanted to love this place. I want more of a tiki bar style in the drinks. And the menu pared down to just a few things that can be done well. I have mixed reviews about this place. My close friends really enjoy this place each time they visit, but unfortunately all 3 times my family and I have been here we did not have the best experience. The food is not bad but for the price it is not good. They do offer a different menu than most places in the area so that is a plus. I do prefer other eateries in the area now that I know I will enjoy much more. The wait each time always seemed to be really long. It seemed as if it took around 45 minutes to get seated each time. The staff's attitude and personality was hit and miss. To be fair though I guess you can get that with any restaurant and it probably also depends on how that employees day was going. The facility is decorated in an island theme, hence the name "Flamingo Row". Not to many islands themed restaurants in Western Kentucky though. Unfortunately I do not have photos of the inside, their menu, or food purchases that I have placed in the past. So the question is, "would I go back to flamingo row?" I would not visit again if it was just for a quick lunch or dinner but if I was invited with a group of friends for a celebration, then I would go. Please note that this is all based on my personal experience and not everyone's experience will be the same. They recommended the cheese fries and they don't hold back on the toppings. Lots of bacon and cheese! When I first started traveling to western Kentucky, a few friends suggested Flamingo Row. That was 2010, and I think I've been to Flamingo Row on every trip to Paducah since then. As other have said, there is an abundance of chain restaurants in the area, and I'm a fan of local places. The decor is colorful (which I love) and very Jimmy Buffett-esque. It's different than any place I've been in western Kentucky, which I like. The menu is large. It contains a number of diverse dishes, so I'd be willing to bet a picky eater and a fan of diverse cuisines could find something that floats their boat. The stuffed breads (Fillymingos) are something I cannot pass up. The Monte Cristo is my personal favorite. One time I went and they were out of it, and the server suggested an alternative, which was perfect. I usually get that, since I can't get it many other places, but everything else I've tried (sides and a few others) have been overall good as well. No bad experiences at this place! I've suggested Flamingo Row to a few colleagues, and they've been hooked after a trip as well. It's in a popular area (near the mall) but off the main strip, so I've never had an issue with waiting for a table, etc. I'm definitely a fan and suggest you check it out! P.S. The Caribbean Dip and Sun Burst Salad are two other dishes for which I've had high recommendations from friends. Maybe I'll diversify and check those out next time. read more

Flamingo Row is a pleasant restaurant in a bright tropical theme. Just the ticket for a grey winter day! The small plate tacos arrived hot and were quite tasty. Cocktails were typical beach fare, colorful and fun with the cutest little flamingo toothpicks! (Yes, I brought it home!) It's too bad none of the staff seemed at all happy to be there. I have only good things to say about Flamingo Row! The decor is fun and bright, the servers are prompt and friendly, and everything I've eaten there has been great! I highly recommend the Caribbean Dip sandwich with potato salad. The nachos are wonderful as well, I recommend the beef nachos. Ribeye sandwich is good, the stuffed bread sandwiches are good. A waitress named "Crash" (she says that's her real name!) has been there for decades and is awesome! Love her! read more

I came in to pick up a to go order tonight for my husband and I. When I approached the restaurant I noticed it was busy. In fact there was not a parking spot to be had. I parked by the bar and went in. It was indeed very busy! There were people waiting for seats to open up at the bar. I walked through and was met at the end by a friendly person who took my card to pay. After the transaction she went straight back to the kitchen to grab my food. This place brings the Caribbean to Paducah. I travel around the country quite often and have not seen many restaurants like this so I am very proud that there's a unique spot like this in my hometown area. The scenery and decorations are so inviting and give you the tropical vibe immediately upon entering. The menu is quite extensive and I love all of the Caribbean inspired items. It's a perfect lunch spot with a great variety to choose from. The burgers are delicious as well as the nachos. Everything I have tried here has been pretty tasty.
