They get a gold star for menu creativity but for me, it didn't get much better than that. Ordered the Harbor Point Phish (Mahi mahi grilled with jerk seasonings and butter, served with jalapeno cheese grits and asparagus). At $16.29, I found the price to be inflated. The food came in a reasonable amount of time but the mahi was so tough I could not chew it. A taste of the grits and asparagus were pleasing but had to send it all back with the mahi. Take two was a bit better but the bottom of mahi was still unchewable. I talked with the server and left without eating. This place might seem a little tacky....but it serves up terrific food. Jimmy Buffet should pay attention on how to properly run a really good Caribbean style location. I had the fish tacos, and the jalapeno grits. YUM. My husband finished his burger off before I could even get a nibble. As a Sconnie, I will mention that, while the beer selection was not huge, it was quite good. I want to stress how family- and kid-friendly this place is. There were lots of families there that night, and the staff was kind and the service was quick. When I left a pair of kids shoes in the bathroom, the staff kindly offered to mail them to me, since we were already out of state. A great stop while on a road trip with our kids! We were fairly hungry, but mostly we needed to GET OUT OF THE CAR! We have two boys... a 4 year old and 10 month old. They were in need of a non-vehicular environment. This place was perfect! An iguana, colorful interior, tasty beans (Which both my boys love, despite the ensuing noxious fart party ... while traveling in a car, no less!), clean restrooms for a diaper change, Bob Marley music playing, and a WONDERFULLY SWEET server who calls herself "Crash"... and that is apparently a nickname she has been stuck with for years. I ordered a salad, which was fairly fresh. Husband ordered a dish with Mahi-mahi, asparagus & the jalapeño cheese grits. The food was good. The people were friendly. This place is pretty good. I like the atmosphere there. It's a very open and relaxed vibe. It's pricey though so I would really give it a 3.5 but since that isn't an option then it's going to have to be three. Everyone talks about the "Fillymingos" and for good reason, they are good. What a great experience! We came a little early for dinner around 4pm. Mathew, our server, was very attentive and informative. I chose the Amazon Loaf (meatloaf) with cheesy mashed potatoes. My hubby chose the Mahi Mahi with mac cheese and pasta salad. He subbed the mac n cheese for the asparagus. I also got a cup of loaded potato soup. The food tasted wonderful. I have no complaints, we were seated right away, served promptly and the atmosphere was relaxing with good music. We ended up taking half the food home due to the big portions. Absolutely great place to eat in paducah. It is off the beaten path, but well worth the drive. I tend to stick to something easy to cook for the first time at a restaurant. This time was no different. I chose a cheeseburger with Swiss cheese and it was the best decision I made all day. The burger was huge, cooked to perfection, and absolutely delicious. The fries were great as well. Our waitress was wonderful, always kept out drinks full, and made sure we had the best experience possible. I will be definitely eating here again. Looking for a new place to take my daughter to lunch and Flamingo Row came to mind. I hadn't been there in over a year and it was my daughters first time. She loved it! Stopped by this place based on the reviews. We opted for the bar area as we were hungry and didn't want to wait the 15 mins for a table. Ordered soups as an appetizer along with our meals and finally got our food at once 40 mins later (only because we prompted them). The bartenders blamed the kitchen but they could have brought the soup. My dish, the Baja Chicken was dry and tasteless. My husband enjoyed his Mahi. Okay where to start??? My go to dish is The Toucan I love olives and this sandwich has an olive salad on it!!!! Wow!!!! The drinks? Amazing!!!! Love the bar area. I high recommend the Tiki Torches that Chicken is delicious! The Beach Ball salad is wonderful but huge.....prepare for a to go box. I eat lunch here all the time and we use them to cater most of our corporate events at work. The rice is really good too. I have never had anything I did not like. I like the feel of this place when you walk in. It's definitely different. The theme matches its name. They like to put fruit probably 70% of the menu. I decided to get a spicy mojo sandwich (forgot what it was actually called). I didn't get the mojo sauce on my sandwich with I asked for...I had to steal it from my boyfriends mom because she got it on the side lol. It's a cute place decorated like a Key West place and the menu follows that theme. Was disappointed that I could not get the menu to show on the internet, but it ended up being varied enough to handle the picky eater. I had the Key West sandwich and it had plenty of meat on a fresh croissant. Tasty. The accompanying pasta salad was not your normal after thought. Flamingo Row is a tropical getaway right in Paducah. The service is lovely, and the mixed drinks are lovelier. I am a creature of habit, but I am tempted to try something new every time I go there. I was honestly amused driving up to this restaurant as well as when I stepped inside. But in a good way. It's definitely a very unique atmosphere. I had a dish called the Jamaican Jam which was sort of a unique kind of jumbalaya. I found it very tasty but if you're not a fan of spicy food, I wouldn't recommend it. I also had a very friendly and attentive server which is always good. My only complaint is that it was quite chilly in the restaurant on a cold February day so it would have been nice if the heaters were going, especially in a Caribbean inspired place. But all in all it was a nice experience there. I'd like to go again some time in the future. read more
