Also there's practically no options for people like me with dietary restrictions. We are new to Paducah and was told that Flamingo Row had great burgers. I had the St. Thomas Burger (blue cheese, bacon, and onion rings) and Fries. The patty was almost an inch thick, and while it looked very impressive it was very dry. The fries were pretty standard as well. My husband had the Cuban sandwich with potato salad. He has the sandwich was good, but not great. The portion sizes were good for the money and the service was excellent. I will be back to try some other things on the menu. read more

We were pleased with the precautions taken at the restaurant. They had a wait, so took our cell phone number and directed us back to our car to wait. They texted when the table was ready (sooner than forecasted) and we were quickly shown to our table. Tables were removed in the restaurant to preserve distancing between customers. Drinks and food were excellent. We had a cheese dip appetizer and each of the three of us had different entrees. I loved the amazon meatloaf. All good so far. This place highly recommended by girls at Midwest Aviation. Fun foods here and big selection. Club soda coming with waitress recommended chocolate cake. And she approved my choice of blackened mahi mahi. Will see. She looks trustworthy! Cake is real good and she told me dark chocolate, which is not a favorite. But this is real good and I'm ok with the choice. Fish is excellent and worth a return. I don't consider myself a connoisseur of fish but this was perhaps my favorite experience. I like fries that are crispy and they looked nice and cooked but we're not crispy at all , actually kind of greasy. My guess the oil was not hot enough yet as they had just opened for lunch. Stopped here with three tired, hungry, sick-of- sitting-in-a-car kiddos. The decor is very fun and bright. At 5:40, we were seated right away at one of the many picnic tables, complete with an open umbrella. The menu had many options, even for my meat and potatoes husband. I went with the Monte Cristo sandwich, which is usually served with chips, but I opted for fries. (The chips are not house made, just the Lays Ripple variety). My husband got the 6 oz. filet with garlic mashed potatoes and an order of potato soup. (See? Meat & potatoes). 2 kids got the Mac & Cheese (not Kraft!!), and the other got the grilled cheese sliders. All food was EXCELLENT! The raspberry jam served with my sandwich was to die for. I likened it to a raspberry filled jelly donut mixed with a ham and cheese hot sandwich. Weird? Not. At. All. Here's the one Debbie Downer moment of our experience. Our waitress was awful. Not the slow-to-fill drinks kind of awful (which also applied to her), but RUDE. She actually ROLLED HER EYES at me and sighed when I ordered a 1/2 cut tea (1/2 sweet, 1/2 unsweet). Now, I know I'm in the South-ish area, but I'm trying to cut down on my sugar intake! (Exemption: powdered sugar and raspberry jam on sandwich). She also questioned my husband's choice of TWO potatoes for his meal. (Was SHE paying for it?!) And was just flat out unfriendly to my adorable, sweet (albeit dirty and crabby) children. This would have easily been a 5-star review had our service been up to par. So, to you, older waitress with the 80's Flock of Seagulls hairdo: we hope you realize your faults after receiving a $1 tip (a gift, IMO). What a magnificent find! On a road trip heading South, googled food and found this amazing place. DELICIOUS. The flavor was beyond what we expect to find just passing through a place. This place is family friendly and spacious so your kids won't disturb others or you as they burn off in-the-car energy counting flamingos and finding an abundance of colorful decorations. Healthy options for kids and adults! Fresh food with obvious attention to detail. Even the salt and pepper shakers get in on the Caribbean vibe. The iguana is a kid must see - even the lizard is friendly and fun. He danced for us! I enjoyed the black bean soup and the hubby reported the baked potato soup was loaded with bacony goodness - in fact he said it was the best he ever had. Rave reviews for the Jamaican Jam - it's a must. The Baha Bird was pretty great too with slices of fresh avocado and well seasoned and cooked chicken. Our server was friendly and attentive too! I'm just going to keep the positivity going here, Flamingo Row never disappoints. I've been a dozen times and it is always good. Of Paducah's best restaurants, there are only 2 or 3 that are not downtown, this is the one. Each item is good, but the best things are the Feeding Frenzy Cheese Dip and the Stuffed Breads. The cheese dip is LOADED with meaty-goodness. (Pretty cool that I just used that cliche, right?) The stuffed breads are great because of the price. They are $5 less than most other items, but still just as good. Service is always good, but there is often a wait because it's popular and it is in the commercial area of town. There is also a very good beer selection considering it's not really a bar-type place. The atmosphere is loud and very colorful! If you're looking for good food in the mall area that isn't at a national chain restaurant...this is the place. read more

Great Ambiance , love the decor and atmosphere . Really wanted to like this place when we tried it, but some of the menu items were very disappointing . We tried the Jamaican Jam and it was good a lot like a jambalaya . Had the Key Lime mix drink that was delicious and the appetizer loaded fries. The coconut chicken tenders were where everything took a turn for the worse , greasy chicken tenders had a heavy over done fried batter that was cutting our gums and falling off. Absolutely no coconut flavor and chicken was rubber, so disappointed . Hated the coconut chicken tenders entrée completely. The honey dipping sauce was just plain honey and did not pair well with the chicken strip at all. Had a bugler that was very bland and overdone , after we requested medium rare . Cuban sandwich was tiny and not filled with much , felt it was culturally inappropriate to pair it with a weird Nora dish sauce instead of the traditional mustard. Lastly the chicken and "Belgian Waffles" was deceiving as they were not fresh made waffles but pre package retail waffles. Overall food seemed overrated and falsely represented . Service was meh. My wife and I were heading to a wedding but missed lunch so we needed something to hold us over. We found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. When you first walk in, the atmosphere immediately transports you to the Caribbean. The decor, tables, music, and food make you feel like you are in the islands. We had the coconut chicken strips and the shipwreck. The coconut chicken used unsweetened coconut which we appreciated because it didn't make the chicken too sweet. They bring you a spicy sauce as well as a honey. I mixed the two and it was great. The shipwreck was also a great dish. Portions were good and service was good. I have heard many wonderful things about this place and I thought I would check it out while I was in Paducah. For a starter we had the bamboo sticks and they were amazing and satisfying. They were perfectly savory with the caramelized onions and Muenster cheese. For the entree, I had the wave which was a quesadilla filled with chicken, cheese, bacon, tomatoes and green onions. (Not strong drinks but okay: C+) I ordered the fish tacos which were good , and the coconut rice. Coconut rice was not done enough (had that hardness to it). Hubs says shrimp tacos were good , but I would say in a nutshell this is not exactly authentic Caribbean fare, rather a Americanized in Paducah alternative which tries real hard. I'm 99 percent sure it beats going to a chain, which was on the main strip. Festive atmosphere and there were kids everywhere and I looked terrible after traveling all day and it was okay.
