Worst Flanigan's of all. Food always good that's not the issue. Try ordering food to go and they never answer the phone at night. So tonight I decided to eat there since they didn't feel like answering the phone. I walk in and the two young blonde girls behind the desk ask me how many guests and I tell them and I say first available even if outside. She starts looking outside and I am literally standing there waiting. I figure okay they are getting me a table. Keep in mind I'm 3 feet Away staring at them. Then, 15 minutes goes by and again I ask how long? Seriously like a movie skit she pops into her role as hostess and says welcome to Flanigan's how many in your party? I'm like are you Kidding? Again we say how many etc and now she says 30 minutes! Keep in mind I'm watching 4 tables within 25 feet that were empty the entire time. A place that doesn't take reservations! Finally I met Scott the manager explained my situation and based on his hollow response he must of fathered the two hollow door people guzzling Red Bull at the door. HEY, Flanigan's your busy because your cheaper than everyone around you, your manager likes to walk around serving food instead of watching the front of the house. The place is always packed, and if you go, you would understand why. The hostess crew there are among the most well trained in the hospitality industry. They make a 110% effort to greet you within seconds of arrival. 75% of the time in the evenings there is a wait, though they handle the situation easily. Anthony took care of our table last night, and his service was nothing short of perfect. He went through all of his margarita & tequila specials , Joe's Meals deals, and Wing and Pitcher Night spiel effortlessly, even though he was in a busy section. He remained on top of all of our orders coming out promptly, and so he deserved the tip he received. Also, it must be recognized that the food runners were superior to other restaurants, not only being timely, but sparking conversations and joking. Does this place deserve four stars?? Five?? Maybe if you have never dined at a four or five star restaurant. This place usually has a cop standing in the front at night lol He's ON DUTY That's usually not a good sign, a lot of misbehaved people here? I cant speak on experience, and the cop doesnt bother me, but its a bar, and its an old bar, one of a few in the grove governed to stay open till 5 am I believe, so I know alot of service employees drink there. The crowd overall seems cool, but I would just go for a quality inexpensive bite to eat, with decent to good service, considering how small the place is. Wouldn't ever go out of my way to eat here when there are real four and five star restaurants that just beg customers to try their food for cheap during happy hours :) read more

I recently had the unfortunate experience of being served by Isaa at Flannigans. To say the service was disappointing would be an understatement. Isaa's lack of professionalism was evident from the moment they greeted us. Her attitude was indifferent, and it felt like she couldn't care less about providing a pleasant dining experience. Throughout the meal, Isaa displayed a complete disregard for basic service standards. She was slow, inattentive, and seemed more interested in chatting with coworkers than attending to customers. It's clear that Isaa is not suited for a role that requires customer interaction, and their presence detracted from what could have been an enjoyable meal. The coconut grove Flanigans has a manager by the name of Ralph he should be fired or put to wash dishes. My son went there last night with his friends and this manager was bullying them , threatening him and made them leave Flanigans for no reason at all. And while my son was leaving he confronted my son and put his hands on him and pushed him. The cop that was working there last night saw it all and apparently this manager has had several complaints. Not sure why he is still employed there because this is a big liability for Flanigans which I have been a customer of Flanigans for years and I have never heard of this behavior from any employee. Worst possible customer service. My wife asked for a side of basil for her Italian meal and was refused because it wasn't part of the recipe. They put basil on other dishes and we would gladly pay an up charge but none of that mattered. The manager and the corporate office both stood behind this ridiculous policy. The corporate office replied to my email with " do not ask us to modify, substitute or alter our menu." If their recipes were that great, people wouldn't ask for changes. Also, they didn't have any problem leaving things off my meal. Wasn't that an alteration? I asked if they would alter their recipes to accommodate allergies. Their answer was the same. read more

Food is good - service needs help. A bit snooty - and Ivan at the bar has a nasty attitude. He acts nice at first, rolls his eyes, and dispute being extremely clear on what I told him for the order, he entered it in wrong, and told me I was wrong on what was ordered. Ask for a dry bun on a sandwich - get oily grease bun and no cheese. I wanted the cheese Ivan... the manager on staff wasn't too helpful, forgot his name, but when I told him what happened, he asked Ivan what the order was, and over herd Ivan say I never said dry bun, and claimed I said no cheese. The rib rolls are the best appetizer on the menu and the meal deals for ribs are your best bet. You can easily share a full rack with a friend since the portions are plentiful. Great place to catch a game with friends and to simply hang out. Don't give a five star simply because of parking; it's limited and lot is narrow. Recently opened up spaces at the adjacent lot. Starting with service this restaurant has the friendliest staff of any restaurant they treat new and old customers like a family. Then the food is incredible for me my favorites are the wings, burger, ribs, and chicken nuggets. However the best thing in Flannigans is the Garlic bread rolls. Lastly the decorations of Flannigans are one of the best parts its always so seasonal with decorations around the holidays, but even without an event the place is always beautiful and clean and pretty. read more

Security guard has a joy in kicking people out for no apparent reason. it's obvious he gets a thrill of having power over innocent customers and continues to scrutinize and watch over customers which is ridiculous and makes it uncomfortable to enjoy the family setting. i've never felt more violated before then coming here. i hope the restaurant lets this fat security guard go so customers can truly enjoy the family friendly setting. read more
