Located in DTB, Flappers is an intimate small comedy club. Parking is free in the AMC structure. Walking distance to several restaurants & AMC Theaters. Great venue & service. If you get there early, you may get a good seat in the front (if you're a front person). Flappers usually offer comp tix with a 2 drink purchase minimum - For comp tix - www.flapperscomedy.com

Awesome comedy club, seatings spacious and comfortable, the lineup was great (with comedians seen on Netflix, etc) 6 comedians plus a headliner, however show was a little short compared to other spots I have been (1hr 50 min). There's a 2 item min however we weren't hassled about it. Drink choices are great, though a little pricy, and the food items decent, though very oily. I will be back!

My son was invited to perform here recently so we made the trip from a tiny town in the middle of Arizona and stayed at a hotel down the street. We got to tour the facility the night before and I absolutely loved the layout. It is decorated like the 20's, which was really cool. The night of his show, there was a good crowd and he was able to do table magic for some of the guests prior to the main event. All of the comedians were top notch, they were students of the hostess Leslie's comedy school, and were all highly entertaining. The headliner was super funny too! We both ordered some food and drinks during the show. I had the nachos, which were OK at best, however, my drink was perfect. The bill at the end of the night was outrageous, but this is LA, so it is what it is. After the show my son was able to gather a crowd outside and he performed a little more. All in all it was a fantastic night, we both had a fantastic time. I am so glad that we made the decision to come to LA, it was a trip of a lifetime for him, I was just along for the ride!

Restaurant/bar with stand up comedy shows. Came here for a show on a Sunday night and enjoyed watching various comics perform short sets. There's a two item minimum per person but it includes drinks and food. They even have tea and hot cocoa, so my boyfriend and I essentially had a nice dessert and show. We tried the cheesecake and the brownie sundae. The food and drinks came out quickly and you can pay by scanning the QR code. Free parking is available at the Ashley Furniture Lot as well as at the garage.

I love coming here for a good laugh and surprisingly delicious food! We snagged 4 free tickets to Hal Spark's monthly Friday night show and I highly recommend his show specifically for his wit and authenticity. He doesn't prepare anything ahead of time, but rather let's his creativity and his many characters with various accents guide the set. There's always plenty of free parking in the nearby parking garages and there's both indoor and outdoor seating to hang out in before your show. Similar to most comedy clubs, they require you order a minimum of two items from their kitchen or bar. You can order at the bar area or at your table in the stage room using the QR code in your section. Our group ordered a few items and all of them were tasty! The Argentine Steak Pizza had a well-baked, fluffy crust with a nice char, stringy cheese, seasoned meat that wasn't overcooked and a banging chimichurri sauce that added intense flavor to every bite. The Vegan Artichoke "Wings" were super crispy without being too oily and the tatar-esk sauce on the sauce complimented the spiciness really well. The Mushroom Swiss Burger was cooked perfectly, with a hot pink center, nicely seasoned toppings and a buttered and toasted bun, albeit was a bit more oily than the other dishes. Fries were also crispy and not over salted with a good portion of ketchup. Lastly I got a hot chocolate that was more decadent than expected, with a giant portion of whipped cream on top and chocolate syrup all over.

I went to a comedy show during the week in the Yoo Hoo Room. It's a small, intimate space for a show. They have QR codes on each of the tables to order food or drinks from your phone. The service is quick and someone brings the order to the table when it's ready. Parking- you can park in the parking structure next door or in the Ashley Furniture parking lot after hours

Went here to see Patrick Warburton, recording and photos aren't allowed during the show but I took this one while he was waving bye after. They make ordering from your table so easy with a QR code and you can even pay on the website they give you as well. Everything is overpriced which is expected in theaters (gotta support the arts) there is a 2 item per person minimum and automatic 20% gratuity. The main room where they do the show was a nice size wasn't too big and intimate, most seats are good seats I would say. They even have a raffle at the end to win free tickets. We arrived an hour early and were still in the 3rd seating group out of 4. But I thought our seats were decent but if you wanna be right upfront you gotta come super super early.

The server behind me was awesome!

I took the three-hour Intro to Comedy Intensive Workshop. I learned so much as they pack a lot into the timeframe for your money. Take this class before you do any stand-up! That night, I laughed for hours thanks to the comedy show with Jay Leno and four other comedians. Jay's show was strong enough to be in Vegas at five times the price...it was that good. All the food was delicious. I recommend you try it!

Another great night at Flappers! We highly suggest you see Jay Leno. He was great along with his two opening comedians. We all laughed, we cried and all had a freakin' great time! Get there early and get your tickets ahead of time on line as they were sold out 45 minutes before the show started. Menu has plenty to choose from and beers start at 14.00 , margaritas at 18.50 and service was as expected for large room of people. Cheers!

What does it say on the sign? Some people wanted to know what this photo is about? Please read. It's in large, print.

I have been to Flappers Comedy Club & Restaurant like 6 times in the past. The first time I was there was back in 6/1/2014 for the Armenian night and that took the cake. Big time. Just loved it and I told myself that I would visit this comedy club every now and then. Since then; I did go there few more times, but didn't do a review. Well, let me start my recent review by expressing every detail about this club that I like so much. I have been to many different comedy clubs like Laugh Factory, Ha Ha, Ice house just to name a few and by far Flappers is my favorite. I was there with a spiritual friend/guardian on June 4th 7:30pm to see Frankie Quinones in the main room. I have been to the Yoohoo room too and I prefer the main room more. It is more spacious a lot more seats, more romantic for couples, stage is bigger, fits more people and it is just better... in my own opinion. Beautiful Ambiance. Frankie did a great job on his comical skills that made me and the whole entire room LAUGH so much and soooo loud. Loved it and loved him. It was my first time seeing him. Other comedians were: Laurie Kilmerton, Eran Evons, Monique Flores and the MC. They were also good and funny:-)) Pros: Great, delicious food. So flavorful, and just so good. Ordered their Pan Seared Salmon which came with white rice and delicious vegetables such as artichoke, grilled tomatoes, onions bell peppers and something else, can't remember. Anyway, it was very tasty. For drink I got a White Russian which was made to perfection. Not too heavy on the alcohol. My friend and I both shared the food and drink. And that was our 2 item minimum. Parking: Ashleys parking lot was open with so many spaces so I parked there. Place was lovely as I remembered with it's glamour and 20's look/vibe. It was CLEAN, WELCOMING and NICE! Cons: Service was very slow, I had to get someones attention to come to our table, so after like 10 minutes of waiting, Jeff (our server) came by to take our order. He was nice, polite, got everything right and brought out everything within 15 minutes. By that time the show had already started which I didn't like. I wanted to eat my food before the show. WE WERE BOTH HANGRY!! (Angry & Hungry) Also, I needed a paper menu since there QR code wasn't scanning properly and to get a paper menu took another 12 minutes. So that kind of ruined my mood. One thing I didn't understand why was the tip automatically included in or meal?? It's not like we were party of 6 or more. Weird. Caught me by surprise. (Still on the CONS Page) Had to go to the ladies room twice and let me tell you how gross it was. Needed a good cleaning and a SCRUB! Water was all over the sink, one of the toilets was not flushed, paper on the floor and the worst part was as I was leaving the ladies bathroom, the men's restroom door was WIDE open and it smelled so bad like so much URINE and POOP. SIMPLY DISCUSTING!!!! I had to hold my nose and run back to my seat. People clean the bathrooms. It is kind of pricy. Can't afford to go back any time soon until July 31st. Another Armenian night presenting VARTUSH. Heard a lot of good things about this comedian. I could of given them 3 stars based on this recent experience, but since I had great times at this Flappers Comedy Club in the past, I will leave it for 4 stars for now. Hopefully the management and the business owner Barbara will read this and make all of the cons to pros.

First time at Flappers. We went to see Jay Leno. He was fantastic. The host and opening act also did a great job. They have an overpriced two drink minimum as usual. We asked for water that never showed up. The ads before the show liked as if someone kid photographed and put it together. They added a 18% gratuity to the bill for below average service. We sat front row and had a great time. Love the size of the space. Seats maybe 300. If you're going to place that 18% on my bill give me top tier service.

I visited this venue on a Saturday night to attend a live show by Ejspeaks, a comedian known on social media. The venue is small and intimate. Parking options include a structure shared with Ross; though it was complete, I found street parking nearby. While waiting in line, staff checked which show I was attending and handed me a slip of paper. After entering, I was seated by one of the staff members. There was a minimum order requirement of two items; I ordered water and garlic fries, which took over 30 minutes for the fries to arrive. After the show, I briefly met the performer and took a photo. I traveled from Santa Monica specifically for this event.

Ask the Community - Flappers Comedy Club & Restaurant

How is dinner accommodated? Do we eat first in their restaurant, or is food brought to your table during the show?

There is a table QR code you scan that pulls up the menu. You order food, drinks, and refills from your phone, your tab stays open until you close it out. Everything is brought to your table. Food is a bit pricey.

Hi I am interested in buy tickets to an upcoming show in December and I want to bring my 17 year old brother with me. Will I be able to since I am over 18 can he come with me?

Depends on show seems faster and easier to pick up phone and call

Hi there! We're interested in ordering tickets for a upcoming show in July. However, one of our guests is in a wheelchair. So we just wanted to make sure your venue is accessible to fit a power-wheelchair, before purchasing tickets?

The amenities says it is wheel chair accessible.

Is there outdoor seating with tables well spaced apart?

    No. All indoors.

Hi, is this place 21+? I've been but don't remember if it is. Wanted to bring my brother with me.

Hello, you don't have to be 21 years old to attend.

    Is there a dress code?

    No dress code.

    Does this place ID?

All ages are welcome to go. If you buy alcohol, your server will ID you, unless you look like you have kids that can drink.

Do the birthday tickets have to be used in your actual birthday or can you do the weekend closest to your bday?

Is there a happy hour where we can just walk in and sit at the bar area? If yes, what does special pricing include? Or does a "ticket" need to be purchased? Looking to bring about 7 co-workers on a Friday.

Go to flappers.com they have a calender of all rooms including the bar area.

We watched Consensual Emu Comedy Improv, at this place. It's perfect for an early dinner date night in Burbank. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby, and you can even bring water bottles and sealed drinks (so they can't spill) into the venue to enjoy during the show. The comedy group was genuinely hilarious, taking prompts from the audience and turning them into a fully improvised musical comedy performance. They're incredibly creative and talented with on the spot humor. We were laughing throughout the entire show. One of my favorite moments was the impression of Teresa the Jersey Psychic woven into a skit. These performers can pull wild ideas straight out of their brains and instantly turn them into comedy gold. If you've ever been to Second City in Chicago or Vegas, or the Laugh Factory, this show is in that same spirit of fast, clever, character‑driven improv. And at only $8, it's an amazing date‑night option and a great way to support local performers. Highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area.

I found the show through an ad promoting a 2-for-1 ticket deal: two tickets for the price of one ($15), with a two-drink minimum per person. The 2-for-1 was in the ad and even printed on the ticket itself. But when we went to scan in, the older gentleman checking tickets told us that wasn't how it worked. When we pointed out that it was exactly what had been advertised and says on the ticket, he said he'd "do us a favor" and let us in this time, but told us to "take care of our server." The venue wasn't full -- we were seated in the first section, and the upstairs wasn't being used at all -- so it's hard not to wonder if this was less about ticket policy and more about steering people toward bigger tips for the servers. Either way, it was a rough way to start our first visit to the Laugh Factory. Fortunately, everything after that was great. The hosts and comedians were hilarious, the servers were attentive, the drinks were good, and the venue itself was comfortable. I'd absolutely come back -- I'd just call ahead first to confirm ticket details so I don't have to deal with that unwelcoming entry experience again.

I paid $65 per ticket (general admission), and from the moment we arrived, everything felt disorganized and careless. Even just to stand at the bar, we were forced to wait outside in the cold for over 15 minutes while the previous show wrapped--no courtesy, no staging, no communication. When we were finally let in, it somehow got worse. Instead of being seated inside the venue we paid for, we were told to sit outside. No heaters. We were instructed to grab our own chairs, which were dusty and dirty. This felt less like a comedy club and more like an afterthought. Service was a mess. Servers were visibly confused, delivering the wrong food and drinks, not knowing which orders belonged to which tables. It was chaotic and unprofessional. The sound was awful. You could barely hear the comedians, and even they acknowledged how bad the setup was. When performers are openly commenting on how much of a disaster the room is, that says everything. As we were leaving, I tried to look into the actual room we were supposed to be seated in--the one we paid for--and was told I wasn't allowed to even look inside. When I mentioned that I paid $65, the response was, "You don't need to bring that up." Why wouldn't I? That's the entire issue. For the price they're charging, this is unacceptable. I honestly can't imagine how angry I'd be if I had paid for VIP or front-row seating. This place feels like it's cutting corners at every level--operations, service, sound, and basic respect for customers. There are far better comedy clubs in LA that actually care about the audience and the performers. Save your money. Spend it literally anywhere else.

Popped into this shoebox theater to see some stellar local comedians and support a friend of a friend doing a set here and was pleasantly hahaha. Tickets are only $5 and include a beverage of choice in the non-alcoholic and/or craft brew family... LA Croix and Hard Kombucha... Could this be anymore LA? Don't answer that because it couldn't lol even down to the limited parking in the area. Street is recommended to avoid any towage and there is some of that especially if you arrive early. Usually only room for three chairs to a row on both sides of the theater so if you bring a friend or two you can most likely sit together as my roommate, his girlfriend and I did. Everyone was really friendly, fun and the Tarzana Boys who headlined did a great job as the MCs. There is a restroom in the backroom for before and after shows. The acoustics are pretty solid being a 25 to 30 person space. Definitely will come back and support. Solid spot for a date or just get out of the house night.

I toured with Second City back in the day and the compradore I missed from that is matched here at Fourth Wall. I used to host Variety Shows at the cafe space. Always a diverse fun vibe. I'm a Musician so we had music as well. Anything goes At Fourth Wall!

Granville came recommended for their gluten free offerings and that proved to be completely true. We arrived to a full patio on a weekday, with a mixture of smart dressed likely business individuals and more casual locals, but the staff worked out how to make a smaller table fit 4 of us so we could enjoy the sun too. We ordered a round of amazing drinks and met our waitress, who was just as kind as she was knowledgeable. She talked with us casually, which I love, gave us great recommendations, and knew the gluten free offerings forwards and backwards. Not only did she know the menu, she came out with everything we requested in one go, which seems rare anymore in serving. The food here is amazing. It's local, quality, and even with a gluten free bun, moist and flavorful. None of us could shut up about this place and honestly, I'm surprised I'd never been before. Definitely will be back.
