The food was unremarkable, and although our server provided excellent service, other staff members were rude and unhelpful. This was especially evident upon leaving; when I mistakenly took a wrong turn, the host was incredibly impolite, and the parking valet was equally rude and failed to provide clear directions for car retrieval. I was in LA visiting a friend of 40+ years. My friend went out of his way to make it a great weekend, so I wanted to reciprocate. So, I bought a pair of VIP tickets for the 7PM, Sunday, 12/10/2023 show. Just fyi, they have two lines to enter the club. One is VIP, and the other is general admission. Make sure you get in the right line. The venue was nice, the drinks were cool, and the staff was amazing! The show was a 10 out of 10. One or two of the comedians didn't hit the mark, but the rest were hysterical. The MC was amazing, and her interaction with the audience was pure gold. The owner (I think he was the owner) did a set to close the show, and he didn't disappoint. When I'm in LA, next I'll definitely come through again! read more

The last time i was there about a year or two ago, I was really disappointed with the talent line-up. 85% of the comedy was too low and raunchy and this was across not one but FIVE lesser known comedians. I felt there needed to be more diverse material and comedians with diverse material. I thought it was a poor job on the talent booking. There was also a comedian who spent time punching down on older womens pussy and I had brought my out-of-town older aunt there that night telling her that id seen famous comedians such as chappelle, eddie murphy, paul mooney, and dion cole there and many very funny amateur comedians over the years. That night shattered my confidence. It made me feel like Chocolate Sundaes was only for was for immature teen boys. My daughter treated me on Mother's Day to this show. The show the vibe even the service was awesome. Then you are told there is a 2 item minimum. No biggie! Then you order . Pigs in the blanket 14 bucks with no pigs in half the the blankets. The ones that did have pigs were burnt. Then I guess they decided they throw some tortillas chips in there to? Me and my Man LOVE coming here for chocolate Sundaes once every 6 months!! We love the comedy and the crowd is always fun. We always get the VIP experience and get great seating in the front. However just a heads up The Valet is Terrible! We always valet and they take 25-35 minutes to get us our car after the show. They make us wait on the corner and They parked our clean car under a tree but we still tipped. If the valet team can be better we will come more often and bring more friends to do the VIP experience as well. read more

The funniest stand up comedy event I've ever been to!! Came here for my birthday last week as a surprise present and I must say that this was the greatest gift of the year for me. The host, comdeian Ron G., was too hilarious! That guy is a underground comedy great waiting and needing for a spotlight. He also gave me a bday shout out and made fun of me a bit. There was about 7 comedians with 3-5 minute sets each and they were all funny as hell. The entire crowd was in tears from laughter. Cocktail waitress' make their way around quite often so enjoy your drinks. The few downsides about the event is that it's "FREE" to get in by contacting the guestlist before 7:30 pm but there's a two drink minimum so there's nothing "FREE" about it because two drinks totaled up to $20. Also, they ask you to arrive by 7:30 to wait in line outside so dress warm if its a cold night. Tip: Checking into the Laugh Factory via Yelp! will earn you two free tix to a event but I'm not sure if there's a two drink minimum included with that offer. Overall, Chocolate Sunday's is the place to be on a Sunday night to enjoy a fun night of comedy and laughter. I'll definitely be a regular. read more

I've never been to the Comedy Store nor do I know what they have to offer at their club, but I know that in Hollywood, the Laugh Factory is a guaranteed in for seeing a comedy show on the whim. I truly had a blast last night! I came alone and it was perfect . It's great. For both couples and individuals. I wasn't able to make the guest list but I paid for a ticket and it was worth every penny. I was a little skeptical at first but I just said F it and I'm glad I did. It's nice the servers make sure everyone has at least 1 drink before the show starts but once I got hungry it took awhile to flag someone down to get the second order in. I'd give minus -100 stars if I could. This place is ridiculous, they advertise FREE VIP GUEST which is some bullshit. They need to tell the full truth. The truth is that when you sign up on the guest list or VIP GUEST you won't get in at all wether or not it's sold out. In addition if you do just so happen to get in you'll be standing up the entire time. Why even advertise anything FREE? Its not free, you have to order 2 drinks minimum. The staff is so rude and the companies policies are so underhanded. The show will start and they will not even tell you it started, after standing in line for 2 hours. There are always celebrities coming to the show, so you know it's the place to be!!!! I've brought Family, Friends and several out folks to come and they LOVE IT!!!! They offer a free VIP Guest list. All you have to do is email them your reservation!!!! Get there EARLY as the shows are popular, and the lines can get long. They get long, but move quick. There's only one part of the show that scares me to death, and that's when Ron (The host), stars calling out on the audience to dance. The comedians were all hilarious, we were laughing pretty much non-stop for 2 hours. The service was great and I loved that we could actually see what was going on easily. The space is totally not akward like some small comedy clubs you go to and it can be distracting. The host interacted a lot which was pretty rad. I also love that the commedians were very physical and out there. I was a little concerned that I wouldn't get the humor but had heard such rave reviews of the show. Fun night out with the girls. We were minorities there, but didn't feel left out. Since I don't drink, I had pineapple juice and hot chocolate - definitely recommend the hot chocolate! As much as we enjoyed our night, we found out the next day that one of the girls in our group charged the whole bill on her credit card (and we gave her cash) and we paid gratuity and gave extra and somehow our waitress added more tip to our friend's final bill. I love going to Laugh Factory on sunday night. After a hard day of work there is nothing better than to unwind listening to some of the World funniest comedians, male or female. The Staff is the best in the business, its always great to catch Nicole or Lani at the door helping the hundreds of Guests that come on Chocolate Sunday. And the host Ron G what can i said, he is on his way to being a super star, keep up the hard work Ron. You have to be crazy not to stop by these shows. If you love to laugh, I highly recommend Chocolate Sundae Comedy Show. It has been going for a long time and my wife and I have been a few times. The hosts get into the the crowd, there is always something spontaneous that pops off. Last night, Donnell Rawlings from Chapelle Show did a set. We were on the floor!!! OMG. Always fun, always laugh so hard we have to contain ourselves. Just a real treat. There is a two drink min and parking is tricky, but it is so worth the little work.
