In the first project, I wanted to remove 1500 lbs of large rocks from my property to create space for another parking spot. Henry gave me the best quote and was by far the best communicator out of all the businesses I spoke with. Henry and Antonio arrived on-time. Unfortunately, we found out that their truck could not back up to where the rocks were. Before starting the project Henry let me know that it would be more work to carry everything down to the street. We negotiated a slightly higher price that was still better than other quotes I received. Henry was very fair and there was no pressure. In the second project, I needed a fence hauled away. Again, Henry gave me a very competitive price and showed up on-time. I had taken the fence apart except for one bolt. Antonio was able to get the last bolt unstuck. They hauled the fence away with ease. My 2 experiences with Henry and Antonio have been perfect. I wish all home service businesses communicated as well as Henry does. Overall my personal experience was very pleasant and the customer service I received was great. Most employees seemed friendly and helpful. I did notice a slightly awkward interaction between an older female employee and another customer browsing near the VHS/DVD and jewelry counter. The employee called out "next," which made it seem like she thought the customer was ready to check out. When the customer didn't respond right away, the employee called out louder to get her attention kinda sounded annoyed. The customer looked a little caught off guard and replied that she was just browsing before continuing to look around. It was a bit of an odd moment, but when that same employee ended up checking us out, everything went smoothly and we had no issues. Overall it was a fun thrifting trip and I'd definitely come back again. Next time I want to spend more time exploring the clothing section!

William isn't just an excellent, honest mover. He's a great guy to boot. There are two major concerns I have when moving. 1. the hourly cost, which can add up very quickly with no incentive for the guys to move quickly. And 2. the way our property is treated by the guys, which is often substandard. The truth is both of these concerns were completely alleviated by Flat Great Rates. They gave me a reasonable price for what proved to be a difficult move and they took extremely good care of our belongings. Despite the long day, William and his crew never rushed. They wrapped every important piece in protective plastic and/or cardboard. They handled delicate items with the utmost of care. And they packed the truck like an expert gamer plays Tetris. Each and every item was loaded, then unloaded with care and professionalism you would hope to receive with any mover. But as you probably know, most movers fall far below expectations. Not William. He delivers no matter what. Even if you're stressed out and concerned, as I was about so much more than the just the move, William listened to all my concerns and handled it like a pro. Flat Great Rates were by far the best movers I've ever used (including large national moving companies that were great but were thousands more)! Gilmer, Rafael, and Carlos were extremely professional, careful, and incredibly fast at packing up all our things, driving them from the west side across LA, and unloading it all. They wrapped all our furniture in padding and were able to disassemble and reassemble furniture too, which was an amazing help. They were also very responsive and helpful over Yelp when I was setting up the move. Can't recommend them enough, and would definitely call them again without hesitation for my next move!! A few additional items to note: -They have wardrobe boxes they'll help you pack and let you use -They provided packing materials like tape and other boxes that they kindly did not charge for -They wrapped all of our things in plastic wrap, which I thought was very nice and helped keep things intact -Their quote was definitely on the low end for movers I've used and looked at for this move, and I'm so happy I went with them read more

Moving is always a daunting task, but William and his team were lovely to work with. William was accessible and helpful, working around our schedule and answering random questions as we had them prior to the move. We were scheduled for four movers to move our 3-bedroom house, but on the morning of the move, two were ill and couldn't make it, and the other teams were scheduled elsewhere. But Eliseo and Hector M. got it done! I have never seen two men work so hard. They remained pleasant, careful, and accommodating the entire time. Our heavy items and stairs were no match for them. It obviously took longer than it would have with four men, but they adjusted the rate accordingly. Wrap, blankets, and wardrobe boxes were included in the quote and there were no cost surprises. They even put clinging plastic over the stairs, runners to protect the floors, and felt pads on the bottom of all furniture that was going on our wood floors. We haven't fully finished unpacking, but so far, everything is in excellent condition. We would definitely recommend! read more

I was recommended to this company by my brother who used them a couple of years ago! Let me just say, this is the best moving company out there! Here are a few things about this exceptional company: 1. Punctuality - they told me a week prior to the move that they would be at my place at Saturday morning by 9am. They showed up at 8:50am ready to go! Rarely have I ever seen a company actually be this punctual! 2. Exceptional customer service - when they entered my condo, they introduced themselves, told me exactly what they were going to do, and were very willing to let me guide them between what is fragile and what is not! This made me fully trust them for the rest of the move! 3. Fast - they came to my condo at 8:50 am, loaded up all of my furniture, drive from the Monterey Park (East LA area) all the way to my new location near the Santa Monica area, and set up all of my furniture just shortly after 12pm! The best! My boyfriend and I were moving out of our one bedroom apartment, and we couldn't find affordable movers without an insanely high hourly minimum. We had already done all the packing ourselves, and were just looking for a simple, "two men and a truck" situation to do the heavy lifting. I called William, who was very friendly, and he got us setup with a three-hour, $79/hour reservation. William and another guy showed up not only on time, but called ahead to see if we wanted them to come even earlier! They were very fast, very cheerful, and very careful with our stuff. My boyfriend is an art handler, so he's picky about careless hands touching his furniture. William was extremely efficient, while still being very respectful of our stuff. There were absolutely no hidden fees ($25 fuel charge is the only extra cost on top of the hourly rate, and he was very upfront about it during our initial phone call). This review is one that's is LOOONG overdue! So my roommate and I bought a couch and figured we'd be able to move it up to our twelfth story apartment all by ourselves. Unfortunately we were very wrong. So we put it back in the UHaul and figured we'd wait until the morning to figure something out. The next morning I call over 20 moving services to see if they'd be willing to help us move one couch from our parking lot up to our place. Understandably, no luck. Every company was a full service moving company. Finally I find flat great rates. Not only are they able to do it but the price was cheap and they were able to come out that day! The owner William and Jason were very hard workers and did everything they could to get my couch into my apartment. I can't thank them enough. Do you see this monstrosity of a bookcase? William and his three guys got it out of our apartment and into our new house safely. We were pretty worried it wouldn't fit through the house door, but they made it happen. The rest of the move was great. They arrived early and moved our 2-bedroom apartment today into a nearby house. We had accumulated way too much stuff over the five years we lived in the apartment so it took six hours, but these guys worked hard the entire time. They wrapped everything in plastic and furniture blankets, provided us with more boxes, including wardrobe boxes, and were considerate of our new home's new floor. Leading up to the move, William was great about communicating what we needed to do and what they needed to do. All of them were incredibly friendly and worked really well together. Nobody thought it could be done, but Flat Great Rate did it; they moved many production workstations, office desks, furniture, product racking, conveyor belts, break room tables and appliances, and more! It's my second time using their service in the last 7 years and I have shopped rates through different moving companies. I must say not only have they come in with a Flat Great Rate but they have made the move seem less and shown extreme care for all items in my home. All furniture was cared for with blankets and tape so that nothing is exposed drying the move along with gentle care of all my personal belongings. So I had to move my half of a two bedroom apartment to a storage unit on very short notice, and not only was Guillermo very responsive when I asked about rates and availability, but they did a great job moving my stuff. A team of three came at 8AM - they were on time, friendly, fast, and very careful with my stuff. I'm not great at estimating space/distance, and so I was a little worried about all my stuff fitting on their truck and into my storage unit, but they assured me it work and it definitely all fit. They asked questions, made sure they got everything, helped wrap delicate stuff, and talked through making sure that they moved everything efficiently and safely. I really appreciate their hard work. Best movers I have ever had! I reached out to William in panic mode after having movers cancel on me, and he took care of everything! I had to jump on a flight before they even moved my stuff, and I couldn't have felt more comfortable. I was nervous they wouldn't show because I didn't have to put down my credit card, but they were there at my place exactly when he said they would be. Everything fragile was wrapped (including small picture frames I had set aside) and they didn't ruin a thing. Four years ago William moved me from Los Angeles to Montrose. Two days ago William moved me east less than two blocks. It was a stress free move as usual. I made a point of seeking him out. He has a crew that works like a well oiled machine that work quickly and efficiently. William was early by fifteen minutes which was awesome in my opinion. Fragile furnitures is wrapped in plastic to hold it together my Ikea furniture have made it through two moves. I also tighten the screws before each move. The other furniture gets wrapped also. We moved less than two blocks but his crew and yo a two story townhouse. The movers did not scratch the newly painted apartment. It was really stress free that is why I booked William. Highly recommend this moving company. I was looking for a company that would do everything from packing to assembly/disassembly, and they did it all. Everything was easy and quick. They showed up on time with all the supplies needed (wardrobe boxes, regular boxes, tape, etc). Everyone was friendly, kind and efficient. I felt comfortable leaving them alone in my apartment and with them taking my valuables to my new place. The prices are affordable, especially given the great customer service and their speed. I called these guys because my previous "professional movers" that I had booked AND paid for prior "forgot" to put me on the drivers schedule then told me I had no right to be upset and cancelled my job. William is a superhero! Our move was super intense (lots of crazy stairs on a brutally hot day) but the crew handled everything efficiently, with great care, and with a wonderful sense of humor. William runs a very professional moving company. Their attention to detail is superb. He and his guys wrap anything that might get dented or that might damage hallways etc. As a result, this move was executed flawlessly. The day of the move LUIS, FERNANDO, and JUAN came. I had already packed the majority of my apartment in boxes because I was planning on moving everything myself but there was a few things I didn't box up and they were able to do it for me. I have a two bed two bath apartment and they were able to grab everything and load up the truck in two hours! I swear these guys hustled! They wrapped my dresser, tv stand, tv to protect it from damage. When we got to my new place (which is about an hour and a half away) they also were so fast and efficient. And they finished on time for me to go back and pick up my daughter. Thinking about my original plan I don't think we could've done it safely and efficiently like they did. They were professional and efficient, but the company they work for, "Reliable Movers," was a complete nightmare to deal with. Avoid them at all costs. First, they arrived earlier than requested. When I called dispatch to sort out the schedule mishap, the dispatcher completely escalated the situation. She refused to listen, threw a tantrum screaming "Don't scream on me!", hung up on me, and refused to take my calls. Instead, she sent unprofessional text messages about her feelings rather than actually assisting a paying customer. Worse, the original mover, Sean, showed an appalling lack of respect and communication. I explicitly asked him not to touch a box containing my father's ashes. He ignored me, picked up the urn, and tossed it into a box like a common vase. When I stepped in to take the urn into my own possession, Sean defensively snapped, "We can cancel this move," walked off the job, and drove home--leaving my belongings sitting in his truck in the middle of the street. This company is entirely disorganized. Every manager I spoke to had no clue who I was or what was happening. Furthermore, their pricing is incredibly predatory. They advertise as a full packing service but nickel-and-dime you for everything (charging extra for boxes and travel). Worst of all, they demand a ridiculous 10% surcharge if you pay via Zelle or Venmo. To put that in perspective: standard business transaction fees for these apps are only around 1.9% to 3.5%. By charging 10%, they are pocketing a massive markup as pure profit or using it as a bullying tactic to force cash payments. For example, on a $1,000 move, a legitimate business fee would be around $19, but they are forcing customers to pay $100. Management eventually sent Papona and Nurlan to rescue the job, and they did a wonderful job. However, two good employees cannot make up for a company that treats customers with utter disrespect and employs shady financial tactics. Save yourself the stress and avoid this company at all costs. Though I like Papona, I didn't appreciate him asking for a tip. He even asked for my number to follow up on the tip. Tips are courtesy not mandatory.
