Just back from an amazing meal. Paul was our server and truly elevated our entire experience. We started with the figs and wine & presseco. So good. For entrees we had a filet and the stuffed halibut. Absolutely perfect. My husband is a filet snob, and said this was one of the best ones he's had. We finished off with banana bread pudding and lava cake. Everything was perfect on a busy night. Paul's attention to detail and consideration truly made our anniversary/Mother's Day celebration superb.

Came for happy hour. Service was great and zero complaints on the seating or atmosphere. Crab cakes were cooked well, breading was lite. Calamari was generic pre-made tasting. Not bad, but nothing that stood out. Pear cocktail was good, but tasted mostly of prosecco. Price was a little high considering it was happy hour, but overall we enjoyed our meal and drinks.

There really isn't a more charming place in Issaquah. The patio is absolutely beautiful. The food is phenomenal. I've probably been here more than 20 times in 15 years. We even threw my mom her 80th birthday in the private room. I also threw a friend's 50th birthday in the same room many years earlier. The steak salad is literally to die for, however, you could throw a dart at the menu and land on anything and it will be phenomenal and delicious. They offer great wines, both red and white. Their bar is so cute and charming, and the bartender is fantastic as well. This is a great place for a special occasion or a sexier date night. This is a great place for quality conversation on the patio or inside. The staff usually lets you linger in the daytime... But there is a hustle and bustle and table turnover at night. It's not easy to get a seat in the bar in the evening or for happy hour. It's small and quaint and darling and charming. I can't recommend this place enough. It has so much character and bring so much life to Gilman Village. :) I had the steak sandwich this time, and it was of course out of this world!

Dropped in for Sunday lunch. It was quiet here, just 1-2 tables were filled. Quaint atmosphere. Service was efficient, not rushed. Very friendly and attentive. The menu looked great with lots of options but I was disappointed. I love a good flavorful hash but this one missed the mark. The pastrami hash was tough and chewy. The fried eggs on top of this dish (ordered over medium) were bland and runny. Presentation was lacking. Liked the complimentary coffee cake which was a fun treat.

Came here on a weeknight to spend time with old college buddies. It's an inmate venue and we were able to chat and have our own space. Service was great and super easy to reserve a table on google or yelp. They had a great drink menu. Food, I would give a go star. If the food wasn't so pricey; maybe a 2.5. We got calamari to share and each had our own entree. The calamari was ok. Breading was mediocre. No flavor and the sauce was bland. If the calamari was good, I wouldn't need the sauce. I got the cowboy ribeye. The asparagus and potatoes were ok. Nothing special. No flavor. The steak was seasoned with just salt probably. No other flavor. Not even a hint of garlic. Felt like I was going to a very bland dinner party. Won't come back.

We had a delicious meal on New Year's Eve at the Flat Iron. We ended up getting the oysters, ribs, artichoke, and shrimp apps and split the ribeye. It was all so good! We hadn't been there for a long time and are so glad we went back. Totally recommend.

Went for breakfast and did not have a wait on a weekend, which was a pleasant surprise. As a gluten-free person, there was plenty to choose from although they did not have gluten-free toast, but they did have gluten-free buns They gave us complementary coffee cake, which my husband enjoyed. I could not have it because it had gluten. I ordered a classic Benedict and they cooked it exactly as I asked, along with a gluten-free bun, and it was surprisingly delicious. I wasn't sure how it was going to be with the bun. The service was amazing. She was always there when we needed her, and she was extremely knowledgeable about the menu, including the gluten and dairy items. She was even able to answer all of our questions about the dinner menu since we planned on coming back for dinner sometime. Since the restaurant was not busy, I asked if she would be willing to mark up a menu for me showing me what was gluten-free and she was happy to. Check out the pictures. I cannot wait to come back for dinner.

I have been here many many years ago and finally I got a chance to revisit today for lunch. The venue is deceivingly big and there is also outdoor seating. It was a rainy day so we sat inside. It wasn't packed or anything but there were a few parties dining. The menu was very straightforward. A few salad options, sandwich options, and entree options. I went with a classic (and safe) steak salad. It came with blue cheese dressing (which is hard to mess up imo), candied pecans (yum!), and perfectly cooked (medium) and seasoned meat. Service was very appropriate (i.e. just right) and the prices were not too bad! My steak salad was 22 dollars which I am sure isn't too different from pre-pandemic days. Everything is so expensive now that a 22 dollar steak salad seems like a bargain! A solid 4 star venue.

For the price we paid- I felt like this was a bit skimpy The bread could use some improvement

I ordered a cosmopolitan and the bartender Kate was the absolute sweetest. She was worried about not making my drink correctly but she actually made it perfectly!! I loved every sip, it was the perfect amount of citrusy and sweet! My friend ordered a blue moon and was surprised when the bartender offered him an orange slice to go with it. He said it's supposed to come that way but normally bars don't offer the orange slice. My friend and I stuck around for hours chatting with the bartender and some of the other patrons. We even played a couple rounds of billiards. I love the local vibes at this bar. If I lived within walking distance, I would honestly come here more often. We chose the bar patio, which was cozy, fully covered, and set up with a handful of small high-top tables, making it a really comfortable spot to relax. The drink menu could use a little more detail, since none of the draft options were listed. When we asked about cider, our server checked and let us know they had a cherry pomegranate cider on tap. For beer, the options were simply described as an IPA and a lager, so we went with the lager. It was good, though we never found out which brewery it was from. We also ordered a mule, which was well made. For happy hour, we shared the half charcuterie board ($12), and it was beautifully presented with a great variety. We were impressed enough to stay for dinner afterward. We ordered the burger and the Greek salad with chicken after learning they were out of prawns. Our server also thoughtfully mentioned they were out of Kalamata olives in case that changed my order, which I appreciated. Both entrees were delicious. The burger stood out thanks to the homemade ketchup, which was especially good. The Greek salad was fresh and flavorful, though a bit light on portion size. Service throughout the evening was friendly and attentive, and by around 7 p.m. on a Friday, the restaurant had become quite busy. Overall, a really enjoyable experience with great patio ambiance, solid food, and warm service.

I've tried a variety of their beers, hard seltzers, and hop water and have liked all of them so far. I've found the place to be welcoming and a fun environment in which to meet friends. Tony has been very kind and helpful and provides great service. I'd also like to take this opportunity to educate any reviewers who complain that their children are excluded. I'm not employed by or associated with this business in any manner, nor am I providing them (or any reader) legal advice. However, I do know that the Revised Code of Washington Chapter 66 is the Alcoholic Beverage Control Act for this state. It makes a distinction between brewery taprooms and brewers who run their business as a tavern. Some breweries serve their beverages at taprooms which allow children on the premises. However, some breweries (like Big Block Brewing's Sammamish location) instead have tavern licenses which categorically prohibit anyone under the age of 21 from being on the premises at any time, under any condition. It's not their fault; it's the law. When they refuse admittance to a child, they aren't being unreasonable. They're simply abiding by the law and ensuring that they do not violate it (a misdemeanor offense) and risk losing their liquor license. Personally, I think it's unfair to punish a business with a bad review because of the legal framework under which they are currently licensed. If you want to bring your kids (&/or dogs), their Redmond location is just 10 miles away and has a different license (probably because that is where the beer is now brewed), so maybe try going there.
