    Falafel bowl

Saw this place in my search for middle eastern food and the mint juice caught my eye! The owner saw my Palestinian flag on my work lanyard and mentioned that the business was Lebanese owned(relived it was actual middle eastern food) I Finally walked in to try after my shift(it was 3 minutes away and on my route back home.. YAY) and was not disappointed. The owner and staff were both so amicable--I even got a free pita. I was given a rundown on the different options and was able to add in both sauces for my falafel bowl. The portions are so fulfilling and fairly priced. The juice was refreshing and met my expectations. I look forward to revisiting again as a Friday treat. I wish nothing but the best for this spot.

This is a healthy, vegan/ vegetarian heaven, a newly opened business with excellent falafel. Actually, the falafel here is the main feature. The dream child of a lovely, soft spoken owner/chef, this small, family-run business will give you a better understanding why, if you travel to Lebanon, the food taste so much better than most in the US. Close your eyes...take a big bite...and you too can experience being in the best little cafe in Beirut without needing a passport. These falafel are far better than the heavy, dense, green version. They are crisp and clean tasting, a lighter, delicate recipe that starts two days earlier with the soaking of dried garbanzo and fava beans. Once well soaked, they will be ground into a paste with texture. At that point, I believe she said she adds an additional 17 spices and other ingredients added that ultimately make her recipe so unique and mouth wateringly good. There is nothing spicy, just subtle and complex. As you can imagine, it's a labor of love before it finally hits the fryer. The result is a texture and flavor that is wonderful. Besides falafel, she offers roasted vegetables that features cauliflower, eggplant, cubed potato, pickles, and the traditional purple colored radish. You can order a wrap or a bowl, and pick your preferred ingredients if you wish. She lovingly makes her own stuffed grape leaves. They are big and fat, and of course, vegetarian, but I must return to try these. She makes everything from scratch. Her offerings include hummus, muhammara, pickles, pink radish, tahini, and other sauces. The oil she uses is high quality. She also makes her own juices, and oh my, they are special; 4 flavors: hibiscus, mint, mango, and apricot, that must be tried. Very impressive! And don't forget to try her homemade biscotti. I cannot resist the anise seed ingredient. Her recipe is perfect for that after-dinner indulgence, especially with a fine cup of coffee. The kitchen is impeccably clean and well organized. There are rows of bins of those wonderful, freshly ground spices and ingredients that are incorporated into the falafel mix, and all of her creations. I insist on returning and heartily encourage people to come see what Flat O Wrap is all about. Her food is refreshing and clean tasting, and you will be greeted with a very welcoming vibe. You will find her tiny shop (3 tables total) in the same shopping complex as Stater Bros. Market. Easy parking, too! Update: Returned a week later and discovered that I am in love with the falafel bowl even more than the wrap. The wonderful thing about the bowl is that you get a taste of pretty much everything, with the exception of the roasted veggies (that comes in a different bowl). The tabbouleh is my idea of perfectly wonderful because the parsley salad has chopped mint as well. The muhammara ( a red dip made with roasted red pepper) is some of the best I've had. You will find portions of hummus and a nicely smokey babaganoush, pickles, pink daikon radish, one stuffed grape leaf, and at last, 4 plump crispy falafel with a small cup of tahini. The bowl is a work of art, and the quality of each component is above reproach. I would love to award her with 10 stars, its that good! Now that you know, hope you give Flat O Wrap a try. Your tummy will thank you.

Love this place. It's a hidden gem that needs to be less hidden. Service is always top notch, the place is clean, and the food is all home made and made fresh. You've simply got to eat here.

A simple and efficient restaurant. All of the veggies are fresh and the falafels are delicious! I usually get the falafel on flat bread with potatoes. Make sure to get the hot sauce! It really adds to the flavor. This is my new favorite restaurant.

Love falafel, and this is some of the best falafel I've had in a long time. It tastes very fresh and it's light. Their hummus, baba ghanouj and tabbouleh is so good, and also taste very fresh. The owner is so nice and super friendly and inviting. Can't miss out on their fresh juice as well. Highly highly recommend.

Absolutely incredible! The food was fantastic. I got a flat falafel with fried veggies. Not only was it massive and filling, it was delicious. The juices and biscoff were also delicious. Joceline, the owner, took the time to thoroughly explain the menu and was incredibly kind. The rest of the staff were also a joy and very helpful. I walked away with not only a wonderful meal but a wonderful experience. This place has wonderful energy and I can't wait to go back :)!

The meat was tender, juicy, and well-seasoned, which was the highlight of the meal. The rice had good flavor, but unfortunately it wasn't fully cooked, which took away from the experience a bit. The food also took a while to come out, so be prepared for a longer wait. One downside for me was the pita bread. It was very dry and hard, and not enjoyable at all. Another concern was the open kitchen. While the area looked clean overall, I did notice the cook using the same gloves to prepare food and then handle items that didn't appear clean, which was a little off-putting. Overall, Yafa Cuisine has good flavors and generous portions, but a few quality and cleanliness details kept it from being a higher rating.

The food court had a variety of options and there was ample seating inside and out. All the indoor tables were taken but ambiance was nice and seemed busy with plenty of patrons. I've had halal kabobs from restaurants all over SoCal and the country and this place is still my favorite. It's a great option for catering (I always get the family platter pictured) and this was my go to place when we lived nearby - the flavors are tasty but not too overpowering so it works for all guests no matter their spice preference. We still drive up to 30 mins to cater from here because the food is always so good and a reliable hit with any guests that we have over. FOOD: The meat is not just flavorful but most importantly, it's somehow always just so moist, so juicy, and so tender all the way through. And it's not just the meats - every item they serve is just really unexpectedly delicious. At most kabob places, the rice/pita/salad/hummus are just weak add ons to fill up the plate, but these items are always so delicious at Kabob House and you can always taste the flavor bursting in every item (my fav is the salad which has a lemon/vinegary kick to it that just elevates the meal). All the items on the menu are great, but my personal favorite is the salmon kabob (if you've never had a salmon kabob, do yourself a favor and try it out and at least add one skewer of it if you get a combo) - the owner recommended this to me years ago, and I've always added at least a couple skewers every time since - all my guests rave about it. SERVICE/AMBIANCE It's a small casual family owned restaurant and the service is always super friendly. You can see the food being made fresh behind the counter which shows their confidence - it's clear they take immense pride in the quality of all their items and are eager to share their food and Palestinian heritage.
