I love Flatbread - I eat here everytime I'm in town visiting family. The service is fantastic and they have a great menu. BEST PIZZA EVER! There is no pizza more delicious than Flatbreat pizza. Atmosphere is noisy but that's because everyone has their kids there to enjoy the pizza. It's always a chore deciding, especially with the great specials, but now that they offer the smaller pizzas, we get three small for the four of us and it's like a tasting menu. Even the desserts are the best - either the yummy brownie sundae or the tasty gingerbread with ice cream. Prices are higher than the run of the mill pizzas at other places, but are worth every penny. If you want ordinary pizza, go somethere else. read more

On a recent visit, everything was very good. Pizza and salads are delicious. (though the way they cut the large pizzas into little strips is a bit odd) Lively place, delicious food, quality ingredients. It gets a bit noisy, but on a nice day, you can sit outside. And if you've got young kids, you can let them play on the river walkways nearby so they can burn of some of their rambunctiousness before or after the meal. 5 stars are hard to come by for me but this place always exceeds my expectations. The decor is very hippy and organic.. All of the locations have their own unique charm.. Amesbury and North Conway being my favs. This is a very loud and crowded place and the bar is situated close to the entrance with no TV which is the main gripe depending on who you ask this could be a good thing. The pizza is as good as it gets all the ingredients and dough taste delicious and you can see which farms the ingredients come from each day! We loved this place, it is very cosy and warm. Nice ambiance and they have excellent pizzas, as we could perfectly eat for our food requirements vegan and gluten & dairy free. I went to another location and really enjoyed it two years ago. This visit was a bit mixed. We got there near closing time and the waitress seemed fairly checked out to the point where we had to ask for utensils and napkins. The guy making the pizza came over with a cheese pizza explaining they forgot to get pepperoni on the pizza so go ahead and have the cheese gratis which was nice. However when they delivered the pepperoni pizza it was a sausage pizza so that was a bit disappointing. The location was nice and the pizza was good. I think this was an outlier but it is disappointing to have service where the orders and basics slip through the cracks. read more

I love this place - great food and a good atmosphere. My only complaint if I had to find one is that the parking is a pain - gets full fast and it can be a few minutes walk to your car (which sounds petty but can really suck in winter). At least it's a pleasant walk along the river with bridges and walkways / paths. Staff has always been good here too. read more

When I first visited Massachusetts in 2008, I was taken to The Flatbread Co. in Amesbury. I'm a pizza lover and I fell in love with how the pizza is wood fired. It is extremely organic and delicious, not to mention veggie friendly. We were served with complimentary seaweed salad which I've never had before but nonetheless, it was great. The service is exceptional and the beer selection is great. If you're looking for a nice night with a date or even your family, this would be a great place to go to. read more

Such a yummy treat! My friends took me here for dinner while I was in town on business, we had a bit of a wait but it was so worth it. I ordered the special flatbread pizza which was an organic pumpkin spread with goat cheese, olives (i added) balsamic drizzle of some sort and it was amazing. The salad was great too. All organic veggies.. My friend ordered a blueberry beer, which smelled & tasted amazing! The atmosphere was charming, and the service great! Can't wait until I visit the area again and go back! This is the Ben & Jerry's of the Pizza world! Good people, good business model, and great food make this a great experience. When walking in, large boards display where all the ingredients were purchased (mostly local). One will pay a little bit of a premium on their flatbreads (they're NOT pizza lol) but it's good to know that a good portion of those profits stays with local vendors. The staff is energetic, diverse, and of course friendly. Their large brick oven was built by kids from a local elementary/middle school and warms up the entire place, giving it that warm cozy at home feeling. Salads are extra crisp and fresh, their flatbreads very thin, large, and crispy, and the desserts spectacular (chocolate fudge brownie with pumpkin spice ice cream, YUM). If you're going take a stroll through beautiful downtown Amesbury, this should be one of your first stops! read more

There isn't much I can add about Flatbread that hasn't already been said. The pizzas are consistently delicious, the service is always as fast as it can be. Even when they are slammed busy, I still feel like my food is delivered to me in an impressively relatively quick amount of time. We always get the special pizzas of the day - a half and half if there are just two of us, or at least one of each pie if there are more. The salads are delicious, dressed with their very light and tangy dressing. This pizza makes excellent leftovers - reheats in less than 5 minutes in the toaster oven. read more

During summer they have tables outside which is very good idea since inside would be very hot because of the beautiful wood oven. Sometimes you just take for granted that a place is great and forget to write a review. Well, I love this pizza! It's the best pizza ever made! (Christy's is a separate thing.) Wow, this place is incredible. I live on the west coast but have family in the Boston area, and I make it a point to visit Flatbread on every visit to the area. The pizza is unique and consistently incredible. On this most recent visit, we had a special with veggies, goat cheese, and balsamic glaze. It was just amazing. The decor is unique and really fun, as well. The workers manning the oven are friendly and I have witnessed them teaching the visiting kids about baking the pizza. They are also happy to give out plates or raw dough for the kids to shape and play with. Very friendly. My fiance literally dreams of this place, and would be happy to eat here three or four times within a four-day visit to Boston! Very highly recommended. read more

Good savory pizza, definitely on the healthy side. The atmosphere is a lot quieter than you'd probably expect, you can enjoy your meal in peace and quiet. They are a bit pricey when it comes to drinks and refills, but they do have amazing lemonade. Their pizza is really good, not like your average greasy pizza. It's coked in a wooden oven and for all to see. They do well with lactose intolerance and gluten free and acknowledge those people nicely. This place has been a favorite place for my little family of four. We went today at around 2pm and ordered our normal small cheese for the kids to split and a large special pizza for my wife and I. When the food came out they said our large was drier than they liked and they were going to remake the pizza for us to take home. Visiting family in Amesbury so decided to stop by for lunch. This place is really cool - located in an old industrial building and organic foods oriented. We didn't have to wait because it was almost 2:00 pm but there were other patrons. They have a very ecclectic variety of soda and draft beer so I had a beer (I can't remember which but it was regional New England - New Hampshire? - and quite good) and my son had a Spindrift cranberry and raspberry soda that was excellent. We ordered a large "Jimmy's Free-Range Chicken" (Oven roasted free-range chicken, black beans, organic cilantro, tomatoes, roasted corn, whole milk mozzarella and Parmesan cheese) at $18.75 for maybe a 16" that was sufficient for two hungry guys and MAYBE a couple with one child . The young lady who delivered it was appologetic because she said that one corner got burned on the bottom (it was black) and said she would make us a small one to compensate. I was a little disappointed initially because I'm used to Philadephia pies which are loaded with toppings. It was very tasty but when she brought the second one I found I liked it better! It had big chunks of chicken (I forgot the first one even had chicken) and the crust was much better. Would I go back? Yes - I suppose I'll try it again but the Pizza Factory will be my first choice when I'm in Amesbury. Flatbread was just too expensive for the larger family but probably a great date spot for young couples and the earthy organic food types. read more
