    Gluten free pizza crust

Ok this gluten free crust is unreal. The best I've had. I did so much research in advance for best gluten free pizza crust in Portland Maine (because there's actually several options) and I'm so glad we selected this spot. Plus, Amy our service was super fun!

Yummy pizza! I came here with quite a large group of people on a weekday for lunch during the summer. We did have a little bit of a wait, but nothing too long, it was also a beautiful day, so we sat outside and got to watch the boats. The service was fast for the large party we had, and the staff was wonderful. We ordered a bunch of pizzas and drinks. The restaurant and the bathrooms were clean. I did find it a bit loud in there since it is a large open space. Overall good experience, and would eat here again.

    Weirdly sliced pizza, but good.

Great views. Good pizza. Awful service. We waited for almost an hour to get a seat. I was OK with that. It was Friday night and they were busy. We got a table and waited another hour for one pizza. We were still ok at that point. We were hungry and like I said, the pizza was good. The service was the problem. The pizza came out from someone different than our server, who never communicated with us while we waited an hour for one conventional pizza. The lady who brought the pizza acted stunned that I asked for Parmigiano cheese and hot pepper flakes. She said " I'll have your server bring it ". Then she brought it right over. Great! Next, the pizza was cut in a variety of different shapes. Two NORMAL slices and then 3/4 of the pizza in varying sizes of diagonal slices. Some big. Some small. There were a couple of small cuts that were just crust. I'm not sure if this is their shtick or gimmick, but it was weird. Again the pizza was good and we didn't complain because we didn't want to wait another hour for a properly cut pizza. We finished and asked for the check. Server brought it out without a word spoken and left. So we paid and left. After an amazing few days in Maine, this was definitely the low point after receiving top notch service everywhere else. Will not return.

Whenever I go to Flatbread, I'm in love! Their pizzas are just unmatched. I don't know what magic they put in there but it is perfectly cooked. Chewy yet toasted crust, a balanced sauce, and delectable toppings. We got the street taco flatbread and the carne special (pepperoni, ricotta, hot honey, onion). Both were so good. We also got the specialty salad (not pictured) that had corn, cotija, and pickled red onion. We also treated ourselves to some beer and drinks--yum. Our server was awesome. She was so attentive and also our food came out pretty fast. I also love how you can watch them make the flatbreads in the pizza oven. I don't know why we don't come here more often, but genuinely this is such a great time and the food is always on point.

Excellent service!!! Pizza was so delicious!! Definitely will return. Highly recommend. Lots of seating available inside. Outside seating was a wait, so we chose inside. Wasn't overly busy when we arrived around 5:00 pm, by the time we left it was full. See the salads go by. Oh my...such a big bowl and looked delicious as well.

Service: Waitress was nice and explained different foods well. I had to wait a bit for my water refill, but other than drinks everything was smooth. Ambiance/atmosphere: A bar type pizza joint, nice on the inside. Very well lit with the right dim shading in other parts. Smelled fanatic due to the open kitchen concept. It was loud, but as a hangout you expect and welcome that. Food: the pizza was very good. Very well made with a thin crispy crust and exciting toppings. The goat cheese, pineapple, with the chicken was delicious. A savory, salty, sweet, and creamy bite really mixed so well together. The banana bread with vanilla ice cream was so delicious. Perfect amount of banana flavor and the dark chocolate gave a fantastic side kick taste. It was warm and soft and mixed with the cold rich vanilla ice cream it was truly a memorable bite.

The focaccia bread that came with it?? Let it soak up that juice because yes. Just yes. We also ordered the deviled eggs, fried calamari, clam chowder and some beers. The lemon pepper aioli that came with the calamari was very good. I'd chosen the raspberry sour they just put on tap and that was very good. I enjoyed their first location but let's be real this space is more unique and larger! Been to this spot many a times including earlier today. They still have an industrial feel to the place but have so many plants all around to brighten the spot up. Staff is always so friendly and ready to pour your drink with a smile. Beer wise they have a large variety including IPAs, pale ales, lagers, and sours. They also offer some snacks and frequently have food trucks/carts serving as well. With a lot of events scheduled too, including today that was a Summer Puppy Pool Party so as you can tell they are dog friendly. One of the many amazing breweries in this area of Portland. Well made beers with enough options for everyone to enjoy a drink even non beer fans. A place that supports many good charities/causes and hosts lots of events.
