Waited a long time for the food, lunch menu was tiny since it's mostly appetizers. Our waiter had a lot of room for improvement, after our appetizer (which took more than 20-25 min to come out) he would just walk by and not remove the plate, and he definitely walked by more than 10 times. The food was meh, sandwiches were really bland, and the fries came out on the edge of warm and cold plus also took a long time for it to come out, and I gotta say it wasn't too busy at the moment. He did ask if we wanted dessert as soon as my husband finished his plate and he brought the check in like 5 secs after that. We had to wait for dessert at least another 20 minutes. Use to come here 2-4 times a week. About two years ago the service and quality of food started to decline. I now go once every month or two. However, I'm not going anymore nor will recommend it to anybody. On my last visit there were two other tables with people, so not busy. I was sat at a dirty table (mind you this is during COVID). I asked for it to be cleaned but it never happened. I asked for a high chair for my 8 month old, however after 15 minutes I had to go into the back and grab one myself. Though two of us were eating we were given only one set of flatware. The flatware we did get was dirty and nobody was around to replace it or get us an additional set. During our meal the same football game was on every TV, which there are six throughout the restaurant. When I asked the waitress for any one of the TV's to be switched to a different game, I was told the other tables (remember there were only two tables and six TV's) were watching the game. I asked the other two tables if they would mind if one of the six TV's could be switched, both tables stated they weren't watching TV. When told the staff member what the other tables said and to please switch one of the TV's, I was told "the other tables were there first so it wasn't going to happen." In short, this place use to be great however has seriously gone downhill. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else in Bigfork, Somers, Woods Bay or Lakeside to eat &/or get a drink. read more

Can't knock the spectacular view, but man does not live on view alone...probably a good place to have a beer but the food is some of the worst we've ever had. This place is great! Cool atmosphere right on the beautiful Flathead Lake. We sat inside since it was a little chilly, but I would love to sit outside on the deck and enjoy the sunshine and beautiful view. Next... um $6 flights of beer? Wow, I miss MT prices!! The sweet potato fries and chipotle ranch were bomb, fries were crispy and delicious! We also had the mango habanero and Parmesan garlic wings. Good pub food. Beers are Always a nice treat. They keep their favorites and move on with the flavors that are less popular. Amazing lake views and friendly staff. Summer time this towns population triples so expect a waiting time during normal rush hours. Arrived at 7pm on a Saturday night. We were told "we aren't taking anymore customers". We saw at least 10 people being turned away in the few minutes we were there. This has been my favorite brewery to date! All their beer is so good and food is even better. I enjoyed the wheat and kolsch beer.

It's a rare find to get a bock beer and this place came through with flying colors. The 1885 doppelbock is very good. We will be taking home a growler. They have a great beer selection, good, interesting menu, stunning views. The parking lot may be full but there is still plenty of seating. Very popular with the locals. Fast friendly service. They are doing amazing Covid precautions. We were so please they have really spaced the tables and all the staff are wearing masks. The Burgers are huge and flavorful! Well, I was on a family vacation up in Montana this past week. We met up with my wife's friend from high school and her family. We decided to have dinner at this awesome brewery on the shore of Swan Lake. MAN!!! Great food, great company, great beer, killer view!!! My permanent roommate (the wife) ordered the garden burger with fries. It looked so good! She also ordered a Huckleberry soda. Apparently they love their Huckleberry up here in the Big Sky State. It's a thing. I ordered the buffalo burger and it was massive!!! Thick, juicy, medium-well and the bun was some kind of whole-grain. Very good. It hit the spot. I also ordered a 369 Nitro Stout. The server explained that since it has a nitrogen widget in it, they had to wait 10 minutes for the foam to settle. When it came, I took one drink and was SOOOOOO not disappointed!!! The kids ordered a quesadilla, and the 2 burger sliders. One boy had fries, the other had chips and salsa. All the food was gone. We were hungry because we took a tour of the nearby Conrad Mansion. (Which I HIGHLY recommend!!! My review of that venue will be up soon!!!) Overall, we had a great time and experience here. Since this is Montana, there is no sales tax (except on luxury items). We waited for an hour at the bar and were never seated Sunday night. There were a lot of open tables, and we noticed they were seating tables for groups that arrived after us. During our vacation, my sweetheart and I ventured here for dinner because there doesn't seem to be many other options. Very glad we did. Being the summer season, everyone wants to sit outside, but when at the beautiful bar, that has a view of the lake, we found we could order from the menu, we did just that. We both enjoyed a glass of lager (True North Hoppy and Flathead Premium) and started with the Paddle appetizer; meats, smoked fish, two types of cheese, green apple, fresh basil, grape tomatoes, and baguette. Honestly, it was so much food, we could have stopped there! We both ordered the Montana burger, which was incredibly juicy and cooked to perfection. The side of fries were golden brown and had I not already been full from the beer and appetizer, I would have eaten more! We visited here on a whim and were glad we did. The food, beer and service were outstanding. We met Rene, who happened to be the manager and were so impressed. She made our visit. Everything was reasonably priced. The view outside was super! We are staying at the the lodge at whitefish and recommend that they hire Rene to manage their operations and service! We're in town for the weekend, visiting friends; FHLB came highly recommended. It's currently 'off season' so there was no wait and the four of us were able to sit at the bar. There is a beautiful view of Flathead lake and the building itself is very nicely decorated. I thought the menu was really diverse with lots of special sauces or ingredients. We ordered chicken wings with two sauces (I liked the BBQ over the hot), as well as a bowl of chili Verde to share. Both items were delicious. I ordered a toasted Turkey sandwich on marbled rye with cranberry sauce and house made pickle. I've never loved a pickle before today.... My hubby got the chile Verde burrito which is HUGE! Our friends ordered the Cajun Shrimp Po Boy and the fish tacos- both seasoned just right! But most importantly, the beer selection was exceptional!!! Went here for lunch after arriving in BF. One of our party got a draft beer and liked it. We were mostly here to eat. Place was busy considering half the tables had been removed per social distancing. The view is great if you can get a table on the veranda but the people out there seemed to be nursing their drinks after eating and not leaving so we were sat inside. Decor is modern and standard although the hanging lamps are interesting. I got the Southwest grilled chicken wrap. Portions were huge so I ended up taking half home. Wrap was as expected: Not bad but nothing to write home about. The half I took home I put ranch and salsa on and that made it tastier. Two of our party got the jalapeño popper bacon burger. Each burger had waaaaay to much cream cheese on them for the carnivores eating them. Both said the bacon was cold and chewy. Would rate their burgers 2 stars out of 5. Fries were hot and good. Fourth person in our group got the pulled pork sandwich which was very large but came with coleslaw on it. Bun seemed like the large seeded ones you get at Walmart she said. With so many other similar options nearby not sure this place will be high on our list. Food isn't bad but seems uninspired and average for the price. read more

Update on 2/5/18: SO got burger with jalapeño cream cheese spread and got immediately sick. Food poisoning alert. Partner took me here for my birthday. We'll try a different place next time, to be sure. The outdoor seating had a long wait, so we agreed to an indoor table. The noise level was so high that we struggled to have a convo, even though he sat beside me. Service was the worst. We waited what seemed like ages for the server just to greet us. I got tired of waiting for my drink order, so I finally went up to the bar and got it there instead. My daughter's grilled cheese sandwich off the kids' menu tasted better than my bland fish tacos and partner's Caesar wrap, which dripped its runny sauce all over. We arrived early Saturday afternoon, the restaurants and bar had been overflowing with patrons. The hostess offered to take our name to wait for a table, but we opted to sit in the bar area. Many of the bar tables were open, but we were informed that we had to talk to the hostess to obtain a table. We managed to find two seats at the bar which presented us with magnificent views of the lake (may as well be an ocean). The horseshoe bar seemed like it could have been made much larger given all the unused table seating around it. For the meat eaters of the world, the ribs looked pretty good, as did the nachos which passed us more than once on their way to eager patrons. As for our eats, the buns on the veggie burger looked like they may have been mugged by a gang of hotdog buns. Flat and bruised. The flavor of the dish was pretty good all things considered. Different without being edgy. The side salad which was clearly pre-made in advance and refrigerated (seeing this more and more) had wilted. Not enough to be overly obvious in appearance but the leaves had lost their crispness. The blue cheese dressing was unremarkable, watery and runny. Not thick and chunky. The Caesar salad was also unremarkable and not worth a trip back. The atmosphere. Bring earplugs because it is a muffled roar that forces you to speak louder then you would may want. Keep in mind this was early on Saturday, well before primetime. The overall personality seemed undeveloped. The walls remained largely barren of any character. There was a nice fireplace (not operational on our visit). There is a lot of potential - hopefully it just needs more time to develop. Staff was pleasant but nothing to write home about, business as usual. If it was a place you planned on spending a lot of time at (regular status) the service seemed to be elevated. The first time we found Flathead Lake Brewing Co. the little whole in the wall, a great place, before the big move to where you are now. The second time we came, you were still in the building stage. Now, we were so excited to try this place out for lunch, out on the patio with our dogs by our side... oh, what's that? You only allow service dogs out on the patio? Don't you realize over half your customers are on vacation & probably 1/2 of them or more have dogs with them? Matt provided excellent service during our time at the pub house. The pulled pork was delicious and tender. The barbecue sauce was light and flavorful. My friend tried the fisherman sandwich. The pickled red onions were a treat with moist flaky seasoned salmon. The fries were hot, deliciously seasoned with a crispy outside and soft inside. The food highlight was that cheesy , spinach artichoke dip. So creamy and scrumptious, we left nothing of that behind. The view of Flathead lake was breathtaking from the deck.
