DO NOT USE. Flat Rate Movers threw out two of my antiques--and then behaved as if it were no big deal. In writing, they admitted that during a facility "clean-up," my belongings were "mistakenly associated" with trash and disposed of. (See email below.) What they threw out were not old boxes or worn-out furniture. They were: * An 18th-century hand-carved walnut chair with a rush seat * A bamboo and brass floor lamp and shade They also broke two other antique pieces during the first move: a carved Italian mirror frame and a bookcase cornice. Their solution? A mere $1,000 for everything--an insulting amount that doesn't remotely reflect the value of the items they destroyed. Flat Rate's attitude was essentially: you didn't buy extra insurance, so we can toss your property without consequences. That is outrageous. And it gets worse. On the second move, the crew they sent to handle my remaining belongings reeked of marijuana. That alone explains the level of negligence I experienced. Flat Rate Movers treated my irreplaceable antiques like garbage--literally--and provided nothing resembling accountability. If you care about your possessions, look elsewhere. This company showed me reckless handling, dismissive customer service, and a complete lack of responsibility.

I have used Flat Rate for 2 of my 3 moves and will NEVER use them again. We received quotes and visits from 2 companies and felt that Flat Rate was fair economically and that the packing, storage and delivery would all be handled very professionally. I was very disappointed once the move started....they were very quick which was great however, I walked in at one point and all my pictures frames and valuable items from the bookshelves were stacked high on our coffee table and being thrown into paper and wrapped up. There was NO sensitivity to fragile items. When the boxes were all packed, we were asked to sign the papers but assured that it was as discussed during our quote which was VERY sneaky. The fine print is very misleading about the insurance and they damaged almost every piece of our furniture, however, due to the fine print were not accountable/responsible. We called and complained and they politely agreed to send someone out...however, it really was all lip service as they reviewed the items but had no intentions of compensating us for the damaged goods. We received a small check which they thought would keep us quiet but we continued to complain. They then sent a handy man who barely spoke english who continued to attempt to fix the items which resulted in only making them worse. Overall, it was a horrible experience....they spoke like they cared and we signed for the maximum insurance which they assured us was enough, however, the fine print made it impossible for us to receive any compensation. To make matters worse, I spoke with the lady who moved into our old apartment and she had the same exact experience - a ton of damages and no compensation due to the fine print. She complained and was sent a small check to make her happy but wasn't even enough to cover the damages. Flat Rate clearly has trained the movers to have the clients sign re-assuring them that they were covered and then proceed to NOT handle the move with care. I wish there was more I could do to discourage people from not using Flat Rate but if I can save at least 1 person from experiencing a similar one to ours I will be happy. read more

Very UNPROFESSIONAL consultant, refusing to set up an appointment to get us a proper quote, they'll just offer a cheap rate and then change it on move day. NOT RECOMMENDED at all. read more

WOW! Totally ridiculous and outrageous prices. $1,000 to move a small 1 bedroom 2 miles.

This moving company is horrible and unless you want all of your stuff to arrive to your brand new place broken and lost I would highly recommend choosing another moving company. Not only did they completely break my beautiful piano to the point where it is unable to be played but everything else that came in that they packed was scratched, broken and chipped. Thousands of dollars worth of furniture damaged. Not to mention they lost two entire boxes in the move one of which contained irreplaceable photos, documents and memories. You cannot even begin to put a price on those things. They moved us three months ago and the two boxes they lost are still nowhere to be found and we have not received a dime to compensate us for all the damage they have caused. I will never use this company again nor would I recommend it to anyone else. read more

I cannot say enough about this company. I was completely confused by this whole process. The person who was the representative from the company, Carlos Palacio, helped me through everything. He has a heart of gold. I kept changing everything....my daughter was moving out of her dorm. Dates, places, storage, etc., you name it they were so on it! If it was not for Carlos and Flat Rate I would have been a -- even more -- a pile of mush. Thank you so much!!! read more

I would not recommend Flatrate. I had my items in storage with flat rate. The day of the move they showed up with someone else's storage unit. They were completed unprofessional about it and would not take blame for there mistake. The unit they arrived with wasn't even located at the same storage facility. They had to go back to my unit, unload that truck, reload my unit and returned over 4 hours later. Almost all of my furniture was damaged and no damage was listed when the furniture was originally picked up and put into storage. 5 pieces were damaged- They did not even cover the price of 1 piece. I had to pay to have my large dresser repaired which cost more than they reimbursed me for. On top of that there was not a sufficient amount of help for a move my size. Other than giving me a break on the total move cost everything else was completely unsatisfactory! I will not be using them in the future. read more

The best move ever! This was moving my mother's apartment contents from Queens to NJ with two destinations: (1) Assisted Living and (2) My home. Bob, Boris and the rest of the team were terrific from beginning (arriving at 8:15 AM, completely lading the truck by 10:15 AM) to end (finishing both stops by 1:30 PM). If you ever want perfection in a move without any stress, this is the team to use! read more

These guys have gone downill. I was moving within the city from a 1 BR to another 1 BR. They were rushed, irritated, broke several glasses, packed horribly (stuff from the kitchen trown in with stuff from the bathroom, and nothing labeled), and scratched the hardwood floor in my new apartment. I have used them in the past and liked them, but after this experience, will not be using them again. I'd try one of the many others that now offer a flat rate up front. read more

I would include negative stars if it let me. My husband and I had a terrible experience with them when moving from Brooklyn to Ohio this past summer. For starters, they misquoted the price and when the team arrived to pack our apartment they did a terrible job and intentionally underpacked the boxes so they could charge us more. When they informed us we had exceeded the number of boxes, they extorted us for more tip money saying if we paid them more they wouldn't add the extra boxed to our total. We felt we had to in that moment to avoid the even more expensive fee for exceeding the boxes. Of course they ended up taking the money and still reporting the boxes. Then, they changed the delivery date on us so many times and we had to stay with friends or go days without things. When everything arrived more than half of it was broken; our couch frame had been snapped, the majority of our dishes were broken, and all our furnitire was scratched. When we called to complain we were essentially told, "no one cares." This was an awful process from start to finish. NEVER use this company read more

Keep track of your hardware! I recently had flatrate move me from nyc to phx. When the furniture was delivered in Phoenix, the mover could not find the screws and other hardware to my bed, credenza, and a arch floor lamp. Flatrate reimbursed me $75 (that I have yet to receive) but that will no where near cover the hassle and expense I will incur trying to get the furniture fixed. The lamp was $400, and only six months old. Very unique. I highly doubt I will be able to find the hardware to fix the lamp, and I'll end up buying a new one. They should have contracted a professional person here in phoenix to fix the furniture and make it right. read more

Absolutely terrible! They sound great when you talk to the salespeople but once you're on the other end of it, saddled with shattered plates, damaged furniture, and unwrap your now-damaged belongings and valuables, there's all of a sudden no one to talk to or provide any assistance. Avoid at all costs or you'll be truly sorry! read more

I decided to go with FlatRate again moving from Manhattan to Brooklyn and I'm glad I did. The quote was certainly reasonable for the same amount of furniture I had last time (giant bed, couch, table & chairs etc.) plus another stop in Brooklyn to pick up some of my boyfriend's larger furniture and then to my the place in Williamsburg. Again movers showed up on time, Manny and Miguel were AWESOME, and they got everything done including travel time borough to borough in just about 5 hours. They even helped repair a part of my bed that we noticed was broken when taking it apart. I think that if I had done an hourly move from Manhattan to Brooklyn it could have easily doubled the cost. Only reason to not give 5 stars was that I wasn't impressed with the communication with my agent who I used last time, maybe because I was a repeat customer he didn't feel the need to be that responsive. Things that I didn't appreciate: A) He didn't call me when he was assigned to me (I had to call and then email him!) and B) following up was slow at times especially in working out rates and correcting the form - he also changed the quote a couple of times that I had to have fixed. But I would definitely use them again. Thanks! read more

We have just completed our move and couldn't be more happy that we choose Flat Rate to help us. After considering some other options and also the amount of effort of trying to do this ourselves, we decided to keep our interview with Larry to come and access the job. His attitude was very professional and explained to us in a very detailed way what should be involved with the moving process and what would be our responsibility and theirs. After giving some consideration to the moving quote we decided to go ahead with them, since the price for the value was what it seemed to make more sense for us. We had signed the contract over the internet and confirmed with Larry that we would like to be scheduled, and he promised us to send one of the best crews that the company has. And so he did. Foreman Ivan showed up as promised 8am and the truck was outside. He stepped in and looked around to see that everything looked ok with the quote for the job, asked me to sign the paperwork and soon after that Drago the driver, Hassan and Juan were all taking care of everything. Watching them taking care of every piece of furniture was a simple joy to see, and they quickly and seamlessly would have a large piece of furniture safely packed and ready to go to the truck. Maybe the best way to describe the process was like a dance of movers taking care of the job in a graceful and very respectful way. After everything was in the truck they drove directly and helped us bringing everything in and having all the large pieces of furniture, tv's, chairs, lamps, sofa, bed, etc unpacked and placed in the rooms. We couldn't be so grateful and happy with our experience with them and we hope that this helps other people with their moving needs, as our stress of moving wasn't the move itself, but it actually ended once they rang the bell that morning. Highly, highly recommended!! read more

I had a wonderful experience with the team that came to move me. I live in Brooklyn and moved just a few blocks away. The man in charge, Michael, was incredibly efficient and friendly. I used FlatRate to move from San Francisco to New York City last year and paid $2,200 for a cross-country move. I now am moving from New York City to North Carolina with the exact same stuff, with a few small additions, and was quoted a price of $2,940--$700 more than my move cross-country. I don't even have a bed, a sofa, or a TV. Ridiculous. They say it's because I'm moving at the end of the month, but my move from SF was also at the end of the month. They say San Francisco is cheaper, but with the exception of food, San Francisco is actually as expensive than NYC for most things. Sounds more like price gouging to me. I could fly movers from NC and it would be cheaper. I will not use FlatRate again or recommend them. Goodbye Flat Rate. You just lost a frequent mover. Time for Plan B. read more

I've changed my rating to four stars as I received a call today (Monday) from FlatRate offering free packing services for the inconvenience of losing two days waiting for boxes. This will definitely make up for the time and frustration of this past weekend. They did not mention my review and my change in review is completely unsolicited. Below post written Sunday, April 16,2017: I haven't even moved yet and there are problems. Moving boxes were supposed to be delivered yesterday. I called them and the rep apologized and said they had put my order in last minute and it would not arrive until today . I explained that I work long hours and weekends are the only time that I have to pack. He said my order would be a priority and would arrive between 9-11am today. It was 11:50am and no boxes arrived. I called and talked to someone who said I was scheduled for 9-5pm not 9-11am. He apologized and said the boxes will not arrive till 2-5pm. At 5:45 no boxes arrived. I called FlatRate again and got the answering service who said they would have someone call me back. No one called. Instead boxes arrived at my house at 6:52pm today. I wasted two days of my life and precious weekend time. I'm considering not using this moving company for my move and want to be compensated for my wasted time. read more

I was looking for a moving company that did it all, packed and moved for us at a price I could afford. I am so glad I found flat rate moving. They scheduled an appointment for me immediately, and due to unfortunate reasons I had to reschedule with them about 4 times, but David Oknin was very kind and helpful and let me have a stress free move. I finally moved hassle free when they came to my apartment ON TIME, packed everything in 2 hours and moved in the other hour or so. It was quick and easy and very painless. I would recommend this to anyone who needs to move. read more

Hired Flatrate to do a roundtrip move out to and from storage - same location. Opted for the premium service to include packing and unpacking. Movers were great. Arrived on-time, very professional, polite and efficient. Packed all the heavy items and moved everything to the truck within 5 hours. They took care of packing all the electronics and un-assembly of furniture. Packers - this is where I would hesitate to recommend. The packing and moving out to storage seemed ok, until all the furniture and boxes came back to the apt. Had some items that broke even though it looked like it was packed well. Items that were packed by the company were not well marked and I spent a considerable amount of time coordinating between 3-4 movers about where boxes and items went. I did have to ask the packers to repack a few items that were very fragile. The movers who packed the electronics had no problems taking down all the wires, etc. Unfortunately, with the move back, the items were just left scattered on the desk. 60% of the items were unpacked and put on shelves but unfortunately the rest were unpacked from the boxes but left scattered on counters and tables. I didn't expect the items to be placed in the same exact order it was packed, but for the price paid, I didn't expect to finish 40% of the unpacking myself. Of the quotes I obtained for a Manhattan move, Flatrate was probably the most expensive. The company did offer a little discount after I gave them quotes from other moving companies. A couple of things to note: -Definitely check credit card statement for charges - I was charged for storage on a separate charge even though it was free (the charge was never authorized), ended up disputing it through credit card company. -If doing roundtrip move, I would recommend that you try to get the quotes/prices in writing for both trips. When the consultant and I spoke, it was mentioned that the move back would be cheaper, in reality that never happened. -I do agree with another reviewer that the documents are being asked to sign are on a very hectic moving day without the foreman going over what exactly it is being signed for. The missing items and broken glass went through the flat rate claim without any problems. The customer service person was very helpful but it did take a while for the check to arrive. I'm happy that I didn't have any problems with the claim but it sucks to have a very expensive piece of the dining room table broken and replaced with a replacement glass from a glass company since the table from Italy has been discontinued. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. read more

My move from Jersey City, NJ to Oakland, CA has been well executed on the front-end, but because I'm not available on the day that they want to delivery my goods, they are charging me a $330 redelivery fee, on top of the $1600 cross country move. If not for that I would have happily given 5 stars. This is just ridiculous. read more

we hired flatrate for a move from the uws to park slope and flat rate was as good as it gets. they were right on time, they had the entire place packed up in under an hour (and we had a fully stocked 1 bedroom) and when they arrived they not only brought everything up quickly + safely (not a single dent or nick), they also put everything together for us--putting tables back together and screwing legs back on chairs, it was amazing. (the lead loader even arranged our living room furniture for us and we loved the way he lined things up so much, it stayed) the guys were so great, and so friendly and cheerful, and incredibly competent. the customer service from start to finish was so spot on. someone even called from the office midday on the move day to make sure we were taken care of and that things were running smoothly. total dream experience, we'd recommend them wholeheartedly. read more

Flat Rate is fine for within NYC moves, but think again for long-distance moves. We used FlateRate within NYC twice without problems, but had a nightmare of an experience for our long-distance move to SF. Sure their marketing and sales team is great. But if you have the "privilege" of dealing with their claims department, you will thing again. FlateRate took little responsibility for the damages to our items, which were damaged as a result of negligence on their part. They packed electronics in linens boxes (what did you think would happen??), they only wrapped lamps in blankets and through them in the truck, not in boxes. and they blatantly disregarded instructions that were put into their system on moving a $5000 dining table. The main issue that we had with FlatRate is that did not do anything to make this right. During the claim process (btw, we purchased a ~$600 valuation coverage policy, which did little) they used very low ball replacement values from online discount sites (QVC, Ikea, wayfair) to find the lowest replacement values for our items. Forget that we didn't own anything from Ikea...but of course we would want our $700 German made lamp Holtkoetter lamp to replaced by a $45 one from Ikea. They hid behind the purposefully broad "Similar and like kind" clause in the bill of lading to use inaccurate replacement values. When we pushed them to share what their replacement values were (we only received a one page paper with the $ replacement values they were using and told that was a full and final settlement) they ignored us. Only when I filed a complaint with the BBB did they even share the low-ball replacement values they were using. When I questioned the values, they did NOTHING to work with us...but simply stated that they could use replacement values at their discretion and they used "internet research". Now if you don't have nice furniture or personal items, you may not care, but if you do have nice stuff, I highly recommend that you use other moving company for long-distance moves. We have moved internationally 4 times and had no problems...and especially no customer service complaints like this. Their arrogance and inability to be fair to the customer is just outrageous (and I again remind you that were repeat customers). I am happy to share more about our experience for anyone that is interested. I have spent hours trying to work with them, but have not reached a resolution. I hope that this just serves to warn other consumers as when you are spending ~10,000 for a move, their is a level of professionalism and customer service that is expected. All FlatRate is demonstrated is that stupidity has no limits (they actually believe a Kia is the same as a Mercedes according to their similar and like kind policy). read more

This is likely the most irresponsible company I have dealt with in a very long time. They do not stick to a schedule and if you are part of a "small move" (studio or one bedroom), they might not even show up. They have a terrible attitude. The only thing they are good at is providing a high cost. They should be avoided if you need your movers to show up!!! read more

My moving experience from beginning to end was wonderful! It started with David Oknin who helped me to schedule my move. He was extremely helpful on the phone and very easy to work with. Then on moving day, they came right at the beginning of the time promised. I was out of my old apartment and into my new one, entire process start to finish in just over 2 hours!! FlatRate movers were on time. Courteous. Very careful with the belongings of my boss who was the subject of the move. As her assistant I basically just had to stand back and hold elevator doors, or kick empty rolls of packing tape out of their way. It was an excellent job and in addition to moving for 7 hrs straight the 3 representatives were all impeccably groomed. A hard thing to do in this summer weather in New York. The price was right, the movers experienced and great. Choose FLATRATE! read more

Yes--firstly let me echo the sentiments of other posters: Anastasia is AWESOME, wonderful, love her! She is the best moving coordinator and definitely a(nother) reason I'd use FlatRate again. I've actually used FlatRate twice since February 2010, first for moving from Wall Street out to New Jersey, and then again very recently for moving from northern New Jersey to the Jersey Shore. The first move last year was exemplary--the guys were early, fast, supremely efficient, and everything made it from A to B without a scratch. The second time around, the guys were just as early, fast, and efficient (and don't forget nice, FlatRate guys are always nice!) but unfortunately, a couple of pieces of furniture were dinged, despite being blanket wrapped. Also, I had a couple of boxes marked 'top load only' that wound up on the bottom of stacks of heavier boxes. Luckily, nothing in the boxes was damaged, but I chalk that up to the fact that the boxes didn't sit stacked for very long. If they had, it might have been a different story. That's the only reason I can't give five stars today; otherwise, both moves were successes! And regardless, I'll still call FlatRate for the next move! read more

My first impression of FlatRate was positive, but unfortunately, I had a less than stellar experience. Although the movers on both ends were nice, there were problems. I requested that they pack my kitchen, and they did not come with adequate packing materials. I had to run out and go buy wrapping paper and had them use many of my own boxes. At the destination, two inexperienced movers were there to help the FlatRate employee. One of the hired mover's girlfriends came along. Then one of my boxes did not make it. I have tried repeatedly to see what could be done which was met with a lack of communication. Four months later, the issue has still not been resolved. I understand things happen when moving out-of-state, but I would have expected better customer service. read more

One bedroom apartment move from NYC to Los Angeles. Price was fair, quoted price was indeed the final flat rate price, service and communication were great. Head moving guy in NYC was a bit rude and sloppy but nothing too bad. They use bar codes on boxes to keep track of them but I put my own label on each box. On the CA side, one of my boxes got separated from my other stuff but they found it on the truck. Also they tried to give me a box belonging to another move but we discovered it and it was put back on the truck. All in all it was a good experience and I have recommended them to friends. I have heard nightmare stories about movers, especially them hitting you with extra charges at the end before they release your stuff. I kept expecting to get charged more but it never happened. So I give them four stars. I would use them again. read more

I decided to go with Flat Rate because of their storage facility in San Francisco and that we could have access to our belongings. Because we were moving from NYC to SF and didn't have an apartment it was the best solution for us. We packed up everything and they took it away to what we thought was SF. So far so good. Three weeks later, now in SF, we starting wondering when we were going to hear from Flat Rate to see when our things were arriving. No word. One week later we were thankful enough to find an apartment. When I called to schedule our redelivery the long distance department explained that out stuff never left NYC and was still be stored there. They said it would take three weeks for us to get our things. The customer service department said it was due to a "clerical error" in the sales department. I was furious. We were now paying rent on an apartment that we couldn't move into. I will say that Rhoda from the Long Distance department was the only person in Flat Rate that would return my call and help me to get my things in a more timely manner. They were able to have out things out 10 days later. They refunded the "redelivery fee' because we ended up not needing to use it (duh). I was then looking for compensation on rent that we paid due to their error. I was looking for ONE week of rent, $500 to help in what was over $1200 worth of expenses paid on top of our move due to their error. They came back to me with a refund of $125 and explained that the matter was thought to be closed. No one is returning my call. When the guys finally delivered our things and I explained what happened one of the delivery guys told me that Flat Rate was making mistakes all over the place and that he had to deal with a lot of angry clients. This is a horrible very expensive company. When I ordered them I asked for one specific thing very clearly. I knew I wouldn't be able to unpack for a while after my move because of work obligations and asked them to mark things I needed urgently clearly so I could easily find the boxes right after I moved. When the packers came, I clearly showed them what needed to be marked. Just my kitchen plates and clothes. They did NOT do this one simple thing. Mark my plates and clothes clearly. It's not a lot to ask. I have moved and still cant' find my things because of poorly marked boxes. Also, I specifically told the movers would 50 boxes and they only sent 20. I paid a much higher price for this company than quoted by other companies because they had been recommended to me and I thought I could trust them. They do not listen to requests. They say, "yes, yes" and then completely ignore you. I will never use them again. read more

I moved from Canada recently with Flatrate and agreed to pay their price although it was a few hundred dollars more than other quotes I got because they promised me that there would be no hidden fees on the day of the move. They warned me that Manhattan moves often involve additional sneaky charges, because big trucks cannot drive in the city during certain hours. This line about no sneaky fees turned out to not be true. My new place is on the fifth floor and when the bookcase and couch wouldn't fit in the elevator, I was charged an extra $240. I am sympathetic to the movers who had to walk up the stairs, and was planning on tipping generously anyway, but the whole point of paying a FLAT RATE is that there are no surprise charges the day of... This was my third and last move with Flatrate. So much for rewarding customer loyalty! There were also a few minor damages (broken mirror, broken glass, scratched acrylic chair). read more

Created a Yelp account just because I was so disappointed in this company. Customer service was extremely rude. I was recommended to the company by a friend who moved is 5 room apartment for 400 dollars. I had one bedroom with a futon, dresser, etc. and the quoted me 600 dollars. They were perfectly friendly until I only had a one bedroom apartment, then the manager was put on the line and talked me out of using their company. I felt as though they saw my business as not worth their time and therefore wrote me off. So disappointing because of the great reviews and the recommendation I was given. read more

2 stars only because the movers were great! otherwise no stars!!!! FLATRATE is NOT so FLATRATE afterall. 4 years ago we moved from Tribeca to LIC. We didn't even shop and compare. We just took the building concierge' recommendation, period! The day before the move we get a call from the rep "I forgot to add the "crossing the river" charges", so there is so much more that will go on your credit card". And my response was "you gave a quote, and if you made a mistake, you or your company should eat it". She wasn't happy to hear that, and in her way she called me rude, but they ate it anyways, and I really didn't care what she thought of me! (don't remember exactly but it was +/- $100) 4 years later we're moving back to Manhattan!!! Called a few companies, including FR. Some were less expensive, some sounded shady, some sounded too good to be true, but i did call the Britt from FR and told him that I'd like to go with them, but they are several hundred dollars higher than others. "Let me speak to my manager and I'll get back to you" he said. To make the story short, he did offer a much better price via email, but the morning of the move they charged my card MORE than the original amount. He wouldn't return my calls, I texted him, no answer. I called the company, and suddenly none of the managers are available....."They are ALL in a meeting". They know they have screwed up and are now trying to justify and figure out a way to keep the overcharge. The team leader tells me the couch is very big and won't fit in the elevator to bring up(which I measured later on and learned that by tilting the couch, it would have fit with no prob) HOWEVER, the office has the solution he said! What's the solution I asked?? "They will send the furniture folks to disassemble and assemble it back and it will cost $400!!!! I spoke to the office and said "we have wide stairways and 5 of them can carry the couch, JUST LIKE they'd do in a walk up building!!!! They called back and said "OK, that will cost only an additional $100". They ended up reimbursing me a portion of the overcharge, but I will NEVER-EVER use them again because of their dishonesty and shadiness. Movers were great, courteous, fast, professional and polite. We fed them 3 large pizzas, beverages, bottled waters, and at the end tipped 5 of them $400. Because of how upset I was, they weren't expecting that and were very appreciative, but they weren't the problem, the rep and the management were!! ADVICE....Provide the rep with the going in address, so they can go and measure the elevator, doors, etc. and when they email you the bid, read every page and the fine print of the bid NOT just the $$s. If you like what you see, send a confirmation email and request an email back with a statement that THEY HAVE EXAMINED ALL CONDITIONS, EXITS AND ENTRANCES, HAVE CONSIDERED AND INCLUDED ALL MAN POWER, TOLLS, FEES, AND TAXES, AND THAT THERE WILL BE NO ADDITIONAL CHARGES, THUS $$$$$$ IS THE FINAL COST. read more

We had a horrible moving experience with FlatRate. They showed up 6 hours late to start the move (problem for our NYC building). Items arrived chipped, cracked and broken. The real problem is that we received a box/es that weren't ours and through our own detective work (called business cards that we found in box) discovered that another family on the other side of the US had received some of our boxes. They had already returned them to Flat Rate. After 4 days of trying to reach Flat Rate (the customer service number doesn't even work!) I finally got someone on the phone. I don't know if we will receive our lost items, including wedding photos. I would NEVER work with a company that doesn't have a functioning customer service number. Save your time and your money and protect your valuables. Do NOT work with Flat Rate. read more

These guys were so amazing that I actually want to move again just to have their help and level of customer service. Okay, that's an exaggeration but that's how amazing the service was! Milo and his team were very professional and did everything! My husband and I packed most everything for our move from NJ to Midtown East but they came prepared with additional supplies. They handled everything with care. I even got a call from the company mid way through the move to ensure everything was going as planned. I can't recommend this company enough! read more

I recently used Flat Rate Movers to move long distance. Although it was costly, the company had great reviews. When the movers arrived, there were missing boxes. They argued with me and disagreed about the amount of boxes. Upon unpacking, my clothing, shoes and boots were missing. My platform bed was damaged, my desk was broken. My one pair of Frye boots were $280.00 alone, They sent me a check for $225.00 for everything and told me the matter was closed. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. The salesman, Nick Roman, won't even answer the phone to me after numerous messages left. read more

I am still unwrapping some of my artwork - carefully preserved for The Move, within frames, within bubblewrap, securely confined within small plastic bins (w/ latches that also were broken in the move, BTW, as were many plastic exteriors and lids), and within well-fitting thick-cardboard cartons. Smashed up, unglued, knicked, cracked, chipped, that was the result on some of the pieces. Too bad it is not a tradition (when one wants to do the right thing!!) to wait a week, or a month, to so generously tip those people who, as it later turns out, have NOT done right by you. read more

Before you use Flatrate for international shipping read this!! I hired Flatrate to move my furniture and goods to France this past summer. Flatrate presented me with a straightforward contract that looks good on paper: They guaranteed the delivery dates, and promised to bring the goods into the rooms where they belong, unpack the furniture and remove the packing materials. I arranged my schedule to meet the delivery, and paid them the agreed upon rate of over $4000. Yet, they did NONE OF THESE. The shipment was OVER A MONTH LATE! And when it arrived, there was only one delivery person who REFUSED to unload, unpack anything, or take away the materials. (After giving him extra cash he helped move the stuff into the garage.) Turns out he worked for a Polish operation that was subcontracted from Flatrate's Dutch subcontractor. The whole story was a mess, and caused me enormous extra expense because I had to pay for a second trip to France to meet the late shipment (not to mention missed days of work). When I complained to Flatrate, they ignored me for months and then offered me $200 as a 'good faith' gesture, even though their delays cost me more than 10X that amount! What is the point of a contract if Flatrate is under no obligation to uphold their end?? read more

The fact that they call themselves "the perfect move" is a total lie. This was the most horrendous experience with moving I've ever had. We moved from Chelsea NYC to DC. Two guys showed up at 10am. It took them NINE hours to pack up our 2 bedroom apartment. Then it took them 7 hours to drive to DC. Nobody called us or would answer their phones to give an ETA. We got a call at 2am that they were here with our furniture. They finished unloading at FIVE AM all of our boxes smashed into another. Absolutely never using them again. read more

Update 2: The company made everything right yesterday and finished the move, so I am updating to 2 stars. I will update once I receive payment, should be about 2 weeks. Thank you for correcting this situation! Update: If you have a bad experience with this company, leave a bad Yelp review--it is the only way they will contact you. I received a call from customer service directly after posting, and they were very nice and helpful. They are giving me a partial refund and sending over another truck to finish the move this evening. I agreed to update my Yelp review, and I have removed names. Original review: FlatRate Moving is a SCAM--they did not complete my move, lied, and will not return my calls! This whole move has been a disaster, and the movers lied to my face. The company will not return my calls, nor will the lead mover. I spent $1360 to move one bedroom from Queens to the Bronx, and an additional $300 in tips, and for that amount of payment they won't even dignify me with a call for incomplete service. I'm sure if the move goes well, it's great--but if it doesn't, THEY WILL NOT RETURN YOUR CALLS. First I called on Friday during business hours to update my inventory, as I decided to leave some of the furniture behind, and I had mistakenly told them that it was 4 flights when it was really 2; so I wanted to update this information, but I could not get a hold of anyone. Saturday morning, May 26th, for some reason my card was not going through, so they asked me to go to the bank and get a cashier's check. My lead mover's manager told him he was not permitted to move until I returned. I apologized for the inconvenience and pointed out the things that needed to be moved, which was very clear and all was listed on the inventory. At this point I was happy with the service and not concerned. Then the lead mover called me while I was at the bank and said that he trusted me and would meet me at the new apartment. Had he waited as he was legally instructed by his manager none of this would have happened. My roommate called me when they were getting ready to leave and said that they hadn't packed everything. The lead mover told me that it was just the futon which they were unable to move, and I figured that I didn't care about it. No big deal. So I met them at the new apartment, they were very careful with my things and efficient, so I tipped them each $100. I noticed that some boxes were missing, but they said they had everything and were not able to return. It turns out they WERE able to return, because he said, "We made a big mistake and forgot your bed frame, so we need to go back for it." Great. I'm still happy at this point. I reminded them of a large box (that was with the other boxes) in the living room, a mirror, and 5 boxes in the closet. They said they would make sure they got them. They came back with the one large box and told me that they had already packed the boxes from the closet. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I returned to my apartment the next day to finish cleaning and found an entire van's worth of boxes that they had not moved, plus a very small nightstand that they had moved out of the bedroom but not to the truck, and a small bookshelf that I had clearly asked them to move and was clearly in the inventory. I called the lead mover and the company and left multiple messages (again during business hours), but nobody returned my calls. Finally I started texting the lead mover and threatening to make formal complaints, at which point he was motivated to call me back and told me he would return the following evening (yesterday, Monday) at 6:00 with his own van to complete the move. Great. I can understand a mistake and was grateful he was willing to correct it. He said he'd call on the way over. So I show up early and wait until 7:30, called and texted multiple times, but he was a no show--he didn't even call to cancel. At this point I have an entire van's worth of furniture and boxes that were not moved, the company will not return my calls, I don't have a car, and I am out $1660 for moving from a one-bedroom to a one-bedroom, both within NYC. Fortunately I have a friend with a van, and I am going to pay him $100 plus dinner to help me finish moving tomorrow evening after work. In summary the company did not complete the job, lied, was then a no-show, and will not return my calls. I can understand if they were to call me back and apologize and give me a partial reimbursement (or better, finish the job), but for the amount I paid and no phone call? Totally unprofessional. BIG SCAM, save your money and go elsewhere. At this point I do not expect anything from them because they are liars who do not follow through on their word. Stay away! I lost a lot of money! This was not an innocent mistake, because my roommates SHOWED them the remaining boxes and they refused to pack them. read more

This is my 57th review and I pride myself on being fair and even handed. While I have not always been delighted with the services I have received, I have never called a company deplorable nor would I do so lightly. I was having my apt painted and floors redone and needed to have my furniture removed for the duration, hence my call to Flat Rate. I carefully planned the timing of the painters, flooring install and the movers; (even allotting a few days of "wiggle room" just in case) as I was having people over for both Passover and Easter. The first group of movers picked up my items to bring them to Flat Rates' warehouse in NJ. A little over a week later, they were to be returned. The second group of movers arrived and were almost finished when I was advised that there was "a problem." The mover asked me to accompany him to my lobby where I found my very expensive side buffet, upside down with the back leg and adjoining area smashed to pieces. He admitted that this was his fault, and that this actually occurred days prior as they were loading my furniture from their warehouse into the truck. I asked why someone from Flat Rate didn't call me prior to delivery? The mover indicated he was instructed to deliver it broken, and to advise me to file a clam. This was the first red flag- Flat Rate was aware that their men damaged my furniture and yet, fir some inexplicable reason felt no obligation to advise me of same. I called their customer service dept immediately and incorrectly assumed they would be as concerned as I was. Their response "oh, sorry - can you please just take some pics, fill out the form and send it back to us." I filled out the form, included photos, a receipt which clearly shows the cost of the piece. They also ask for the weight of the piece which I think is absurd. Not sure about all of you, but I just can't for the life of me remember when was the last time I weighed a piece of my furniture. Clearly another red flag. Saying I was devastated about the damage that Flat Rate caused would be an understatement. Just to clarify, if this were a piece of furniture I purchased from Crate & Barrel, sure I would be upset, but we are talking about a piece of furniture that was bought as an investment and was over $6,900. Since I was aware of the value, I opted for their insurance which valued my property at $10,000. I then receive an ambiguous email from their Customer Service Dept - I say ambiguous as it was signed "customer service" which indicated that I needed to contact their vendor, All Furniture Services, so they can assess the damage. All Furniture arrives three days later, the guy tells me how great he is, and that he can "fix it" Fix it? Even if All Furniture were miracle workers and could "fix it" the piece would no longer have the same value. To add insult to injury, I needed to call 20 people and tell them to find alternative arrangements for the holidays - so another big thank you to Flat Rate from my friends & family whose holiday plans were cancelled the day before. I then receive an email to advise that my claim is "now closed" and they would like to offer me $250.00 as a "courtesy compensation" So Flat Rate just damaged a $6,900 piece of furniture, and their idea of settling my claim is to offer me $250.00? They also advise that I can have it repaired by All Furniture Services for $450.00. As per Flat Rate, I have a $500.00 deductible so while they state that they will repair or replace any damaged furniture, in actuality you are the one who pays for the repair. I am far from obtuse so what am I missing here? I am now sitting with the broken piece of furniture in my kitchen (where their men promptly "dumped" it) although it belongs in my living room. My apt looks as if I just moved in instead of having just been redone. And while the damage was due to Flat Rate's negligence, they have now washed their hands of the matter and feel that an offer of a $250.00 check will cover my inconvenience ( It cost more than $250. to have the piece professional cleaned). Inconvenience doesn't even begin to describe what I have been through and again, all due to Flat Rates' negligence. They have decided to wash their hands of the matter, I on the other hand have not. My next call was again to their customer service, to ask for a name/ email address for someone on their management team. Nope sorry - we cannot provide that information. As someone who works in management for one of the largest privately owned companies in the U.S., we have no issue providing contact info for anyone on our Executive Management Team. EDIT (March 6): I spoke to Vicky, head of customer service at Flatrate Movers, this week. She saw my yelp review and called me to get more details. I was impressed by the proactive response and her interest in my experience. She assured me that what I described below is not the normal experience, and they have spoken with the movers to remediate the situation. I'm happy now to recommend Flatrate to others, b/c clearly customer satisfaction is their priority. (March 2) We wanted an up-front amount to budget for moving costs, so flatrate seemed ideal. Plus, we investigated 3 other companies and all the quotes seemed to be in the same ballpark. Flatrate got the edge for excellent sales service in assuring us *everything* was included such disassembly & reassembly, extra packing and padding for all the furniture and breakables, and taxes + tolls + expenses. Plus, I thought they might be motivated to work efficiently since there was no hourly rate. I was quoted $950 for *everything* and was told that 4 guys would show up, and it would take around 4-5 hours. We had a 1-br apt on the 2nd floor, and we moved to a 3rd floor walk-up apt. Basic inventory includes bed, 2 dressers, large 8ft ikea wardrobe, couch, 2 desks, 4 chairs, dining table, 2 elfa storage units, 4 bookshelves, 3 large clay planters and @ 30 boxes of stuff. Couple of things to note here: - we told the sales rep that we were moving to a 3rd floor walk-up - we initially forgot to include the 3 clay planters in our inventory list, and we emailed the sales rep 4 days prior to the move to be sure and include these So on the day of the move, we were ready with all the boxes packed and labeled. Our arrival window was 1-3pm and the moving truck arrived at 3pm with 3 movers, apologizing for the delay b/c of problems with the previous move. The foreman was clearly ready to get going since they work on commission and not an hourly rate, as he explained to us several times that day. However, one guy had to sit in the truck the whole time so we only had 2 guys to pack up our apt. The planters were the first thing the foreman complained about - "it's not my responsibility... if anything happens to them, it's not my responsibility b/c that's not on my inventory sheet. That is going to cost you extra." We discussed this for a few minutes, and decided that since we did email the sales rep about the planters, we would be ok for insurance purposes. They moved the planters but didn't add anything to the cost. The movers got everything into the truck in about 2 hours, except for the large ikea wardrobe. That was the next complaint from the foreman... "it's not my responsibility." According to the foreman, he felt like the wardrobe was too risky to move and it would likely break and it wasn't his responsibility, as he kept repeating. We did remind him that it was included in the quote - the disassembly and reassembly in fact - but he was adamant it wasn't his responsibility. Since he was so sure it would not survive the trip, we decided to leave the wardrobe to the next tenant. In hindsight, I guess he wanted to leave it b/c it would take too long to handle and he was in a hurry to finish for the day. So we left the wardrobe - the largest piece of furniture, and likely a chunk of the price quoted. When we arrived at the new apt building, the foreman balked at the walk-up. Apparently, he was not told that the stairs were double flights instead of a straight flight of stairs. We didn't know we had to explain the stairs to the sales rep when we got the quote, but we told him it was a 3rd floor walk-up and it was written on the foreman's papers as a 3rd floor walk-up. The foreman kept balking - "this will cost you extra, someone will have to pay us for this, it takes extra time." So he called flatrate headquarters and talked to them for a while, and then handed the phone to us. We explained that we said 3rd floor walk-up but we didn't know we had to give details about the flights. A few minutes after that call, another rep from flatrate called us again. After much discussion, we were told that sales would have to call us later in the week to discuss how this might impact our final price. We were very upset to hear this since we had left the largest piece of furniture back in the old apartment, with no complaint about getting a refund, and we had been accurate in describing everything in our move. Sales never asked for details like how many stairs are in each flight, etc. That said, the movers worked very hard to get everything upstairs in 2 hours. They finished the day around 8.30pm, so it was about 4 hrs of work and 1.5 hr of transit time. We tipped them 17% on the original cost even though the large wardrobe was left behind. We used FlatRate Moving to move our things from a home in Colorado and our home in NYC to our new place in Philadelphia. To put it simply, everything about this move was completely unprofessional and mismanaged. We could not be more disappointed in the lack of service and the aggravation caused at every turn and it ended with our furniture (worth $7k) being delivered broken and a refund of $450 for move that cost just shy of $10k. We submitted a claim and an appeal to the verdict with all information documented with pictures and explanations in powerpoint. Bottom line, a move is stressful enough so you need to work with experienced professionals you can trust. I highly recommend avoiding FlatRate. Here is an outline of our experience: 1) COLORADO PICK UP: After flying from NYC to Colorado explicitly for the confirmed October 27 pickup, the van didn't show in the first few hours of the window. We called FlatRate and were told A) there was no pickup scheduled for that day despite the fact that we had confirmation emails not only from a FlatRate employee but also their automated system and B) the pickup would have to be scheduled later in the week on a day we were no longer in Colorado. After spending time talking with 2 different people at FlatRate, a supervisor told us that the automated system had sent us a pickup confirmation in error and that was a common mistake. He said, "We don't know why it does that, but it does. I'm sorry." This still didn't make any sense to us because despite any malfunction of an automated system, we had written confirmation from our sales rep we had been working with. Additionally, FlatRate had already charged our credit card the day before which only happens when the pickup is confirmed. After making it clear that we were unable to come back on any other day and supervise the items being packed, the supervisor made arrangements for a truck to execute pick up that day. Our whole day was spent re-organizing the move for the planned date and then waiting for the truck to show up. A fundamental error such as the pick up day and window being incorrect (after a human and automated confirmation) is absolutely unacceptable, especially when you live out of state and are taking the time to fly in specifically for the move. 2) PHILADELPHIA DELIVERY: On the receiving end in Philadelphia, the Colorado shipment also proved problematic. We emailed our sales rep and Dejon Reid (VP of Sales!) multiple times to coordinate the delivery date and received confirmation for Nov 19-20. I reached out to both gentlemen on Nov 8 and again on Nov 13 to advise them that the Philadelphia Police Department was only able to give us a parking permit for the delivery truck on Nov 19 so that is the date we needed to lock in. We never heard back from either. On Nov 14 we received an email from an employee saying that our shipment was enroute and there were no delays. On Nov 16 we received an email from the Long Distance Department confirming the shipment was still enroute and the current estimated delivery window was Nov 17-20. With no further information and no response from our sales rep or the VP of Sale about locking in Nov 19, we were forced to call FlatRate on Nov 18. The representative said, "I don't have Nov 19 confirmed and will inform you once we have a date available" implying we had no prior communication with FlatRate about the delivery date whatsoever. We were frustrated beyond belief: how was there no record of the Nov 19-20 window that the VP and the sales rep confirmed and now we were being told there was actually no date on the books at all? We explained the entire situation to the representative who had to escalate our situation only to come back and confirm Nov 19 an hour and half later. I understand that it is difficult for FlatRate to confirm exact dates and times but it should be noted that on Oct 31 the sales rep confirmed a delivery date of Nov 17th via email; so, if he could do it once, why could it not be confirmed again two days LATER than the original planned date and if it couldn't be confirmed why wasn't that communicated to us? Also, we were extremely disappointed that we were emailing with a VP at their company who never responded to our emails after Nov 8 and let our move fall through the cracks to again be dealt with by us, the end customers. 3) CLAIM PROCESS: The claim process was just as bad as the rest of this experience. Filing the claim and then waiting 2 months for FlatRate to tell us they would give us $450 for the $7k worth of items that were damaged was insulting. We then filed an appeal. We were continually told they were still looking into it every time we followed up. Months later still no answer. This is customer service at its worse. If you do decide to use FlatRate, please make sure to get the highest insurance possible. read more

Rating between 2 - 3 stars was debatable. Flat Rate was referred to me by one of my graduate school classmates that had success moving from NYC to MIA. Unfortunately, my experience was not as smooth. I believe generally they are 4/5-star, but my experience was the outlier which I feel no other person, especially someone not covered by corporate expense should endure. On a positive note, the email or phone responsive of the Flat Rate office team is great as is the speed in which items are packed/unpacked, loaded/unloaded by the on-site movers. Also, the paperwork is well laid out. However, the negative is a lack of organization to pack/unpack boxed contents; as well as my move was scheduled against my preferred timing, leading to both inconvenience and inefficiency of delivery plus some of my furniture arrived with damages and all furniture had dust. Also at the end of the first 3-month storage period, I was notified my monthly storage fee would double. I had to refute such gouging and eventually I agreed to a more a nominal increase, but an increase all the same which I found unscrupulous as nothing in original contract said rates could change. It was agreed to in writing and verbally that I would be alerted 48 hours before delivery. Instead not only was it only 24 hour notice, Flat Rate Long Distance decided to proceed with the move on a date when I had tight availability and that my building management could only assign 2 hours use of elevator even though we both requested the day after which was free availability. The movers were there a total of 3 hours and 45 minutes. Given the poor scheduling, I had to take a conference call so I was preoccupied for the first 2 1/2 hours of the move. For what remained, it was difficult to direct the movers due to the missed time and so many items being in my apartment that were brought up to adhere to the 2 hour elevator limit. Also, due to the poor packing of my boxes, and being that I have so many items, it was difficult to properly place items for two reasons, first, the boxes were not detailed in labeling. For instance, books in boxes were labeled to the correct room, but there was no labeling of which shelf, and left to right, based on how it was setup before packing it up. Therefore, without me overseeing, the books were unpacked and haphazardly placed on shelf, mostly back to front. This created aimless work for the movers and extra work for me in completely reorganizing. Second, all furniture had dirt which led me to question were my items not stored wrapped; the dust was caked on. I received no heads up beforehand that this may be the condition they arrive in to prep so unpacking was futile as all furniture had to be thoroughly wiped and sanitized. Given the dust, why would Flat Rate not recommend that I cancel unpacking given their expertise of what condition lengthy stored items might arrive in? Also, many boxes had a mix of items just thrown in without regard for the protection or delicacy of the items, i.e. shoes with lingerie, kitchen items with linens, light fixtures with hair products. I have a lot of things and this move wasn't easy on both ends, however, my contract wasn't just for transporting items, but also fees for packing and unpacking. Including $500 cash tip for the movers on both ends, I absolutely feel jilted. To add insult to injury, a handful of furniture items were delivered scratched with gashes in the wood that were not there prior and two pieces off hinge. Additionally, right after my pickup, I reached out to my booker that the movers left two picture hangings on wall that I specifically asked to be packed; to this date I've received no response, apology or compensation. My Dirt Devil vacuum and Black & Decker drill are missing; as well as the moving blanket I borrowed from a friend seems to have been accidentally taken during unpack. The only thing that got me through the delivery was how great the foreman was. I really wish the packing had been done better so that they could have unpacked better and helped me more because they had such great attitudes. Unfortunately, I had to release them as it was futile due to hapless packing and dirt on the furniture. Plus what they were unpacking actually was creating work. Moving is a strain enough as it is, even more so as a single woman, and without a company covering long distance and the long storage expenses. I am hoping that Flat Rate does the right thing with reparations for the claim and photo documentation I submit. Should you select Flat Rate, please be proactive to ensure you do endure the damages and occurrences I had. Photos are posted to show above. read more

Photos are posted to show above.

This is my 57th review and I pride myself on being fair and even handed. While I have not always been delighted with the services I have received, I have never called a company deplorable- nor would I do so lightly. I was having my apt painted and floors redone so needed to have my furniture removed, hence my call to Flat Rate. I carefully planned the timing of the painters, flooring install, and the movers (even allotting a few days"wiggle room") as I was having people over for Passover and Easter. The first group of movers pick up my furniture to bring to Flat Rates' warehouse in NJ. A little over a week later, they were to be returned. The second group of movers arrive and were almost finished, when I was advised that there was "a problem." I accompany him to my lobby where I find my very expensive side buffet, upside down with the back leg and adjoining area smashed to pieces. He admitted this was his fault and that it occurred days before when loading my furniture from the warehouse into the truck. I asked why someone from Flat Rate didn't call me prior to delivery? He was instructed to deliver it broken, and to advise me to file a clam. This was the first red flag- Flat Rate was aware they damaged my furniture and yet, for some inexplicable reason, felt no obligation to let me know beforehand? I called customer service immediately and assumed they would be as concerned as I was. I assumed incorrectly - their response was "oh, sorry -fill out the form and send it back to us". I filled out the form, included photos, and a receipt which shows the cost of the piece. They also ask for the weight - which is absurd. Not sure about all of you, but I can't for the life of me remember when I weighed a piece of my furniture. Clearly another red flag. Saying I was devastated about the damage that Flat Rate caused would be an gross understatement. Just to clarify, if this were a piece from Crate & Barrel, sure I would be upset, but we are talking about a piece that was bought as an investment, and over $6,900. Since I was aware of the value, I opted for their insurance which was to cove me for $10,000. I receive an ambiguous email from their Customer Service Dept - I say ambiguous as it was signed "customer service" (no actual name of a person to follow-up with). They tell me to contact "their vendor" All Furniture Services so they can come and assess the damage. AFS arrives three days later - the guy tells me how great he is, and that he can "fix it" Fix it? Even if AFS were miracle workers and could "fix it", the piece would no longer have the same value. To add insult to injury, I needed to call 20 people to tell them to find alternative arrangements for the holidays as I now have a large piece of furniture sitting in my kitchen, and my kitchen furniture in my living room, so clearly I cannot have people over- another big thank you to Flat Rate from my friends & family whose holiday plans were cancelled the day before! I then receive an email to advise that my claim is now "closed". They have graciously decided to offer me $250.00 as a "courtesy". So Flat Rate just damaged a $6,900 piece of furniture, and their idea of settling my claim is to offer me $250.00? They said I can have it repaired by AFS for $450.00. As per Flat Rate, I have a $500.00 deductible so while they state that they will "repair or replace any damaged furniture", in actuality, you are the one who pays for the repair. I am far from obtuse so what am I missing here? I still have the broken piece of furniture in my kitchen (where their men promptly dumped it) and my apartment looks as though I just moved-in, instead of just being redone. Flat Rate is not disputing that the caused the damage - so the big question is why would any reputable company not take responsibility and offer to replace the piece? They are under the misconception that an offer of $250. will cover my inconvenience Inconvenience doesn't even begin to describe what I have been through - all due to Flat Rates' negligence. They have decided to wash their hands of the matter, I on the other hand have not. I called Customer Service to ask for the name/email address for someone on their management team. Nope sorry - "we cannot provide that information" I work in management for one of the largest privately owned companies in the U.S. We gladly provide contact info for anyone in our company. Why? - because any company with integrity actually WANTS to hear from their customers -whether for a compliment or complaint. That is what good companies do. That is what ethics and good business practices are all about. Clearly Flat Rate has none. read more
