I happened to be in the area and I was really craving a good burger for the last couple of days now. I was driving down Reseda and noticed the "NOW OPEN" banner hanging outside this place, so I decided to check it out. I'm glad I did! The parking lot is shared with a few other businesses and the place itself is pretty small (12 chairs total). Walked in on Wed. 7/28 at 5:20pm and all the seats were full, with 2 people waiting for their to-go orders. While I was waiting, more third party orders were being picked up. As busy as they were, my order came out within 10min. Nice and hot! You place your order on a screen and wait for it to be prepared. They will call your name when it's ready. I decided to get one Flavez Burger Double Combo ($13.99) with fries and drink. I also wanted to try the Seoul Heat Burger ($9.99) so I got that as well. Both burgers were so delicious and most importantly FRESH!! The patties were so juicy and piping hot. The cheese was perfectly melted and the bun was nice and buttery. The Seoul Heat burger had Serrano peppers, fried onions and a spicy Korean sauce. Surprisingly, it wasn't overwhelmingly spicy but the kind that lingers and makes you wanna keep eating it. The Flavez Burger was with their house sauce, grilled onions, and pickles. Even though I don't like pickles, I didn't mind them. They are a brand new business and I wish them luck. The place was super clean and they don't have a public bathroom. I would definitely come back here if I was in the area again.

Wanted to try a new burger spot so my bf and I went to check out this place. Parking lot is super small but we came at a good time to where there were plenty of spots. Got there just as they opened. We walked in and were greeted by the worker guy in the back and shortly after, a lady worker greeted us after she walked in to start her shift. They have an ordering kiosk which is convenient but it wasn't 100% accurate. My bf and I both ordered the BBQ Haystack burgers and nowhere on the menu did it say it included bacon. There were options to remove toppings and bacon was also not an option so we were very surprised when we bit into it lol. Not a bad thing, but I also don't care for bacon much so I would've removed it if I had the option. Plenty of seating. Food came out pretty quick and she also asked if we wanted any sauces for no additional charge. Their house sauce is a must!! They also gave extra bbq sauce on the side but I enjoyed the house sauce more with my burger. Overall a pretty solid burger spot, soft buns, very yummy! IG: @ammysalamii

I was little disappointing with this new burger joint that just opened near us. We tried calling our order in for pick but no one answered so we went there. The menu is simple and small. They just have 4 different burgers to choose from. We ordered their Single Flavez Burger and a Double Classic Cheeseburger and made one a combo. The burgers were all lacking seasoning and flavor the patties were over done and dried out. It seems the burger patties could have been frozen or they just use low quality meat. On the positive side their fries that was fried in beef tallow was fantastic. Hopefully they can fix the problem, I would like to give them another try down the line. Service was great and friendly.

Really good burger spot. It's honestly pretty close to what I'd consider an ideal burger. One thing I'd recommend though is getting the double. The pictures are a little misleading and make the patties look way bigger than they actually are. I almost ordered a single because of that, but I'm glad I didn't. The double ended up looking more like what I expected the single to be. We ordered delivery, so I can't really speak to the restaurant itself, but everything was ready quickly, arrived without any issues, and the food held up really well. Definitely looking forward to ordering from here again.

Husband and I were in the area and I thought a burger sounded good. Yelp definitely did not lead me astray! It took probably around 15 minutes to get our food. Maybe a tiny bit more. But they were busy and that's faster than I can make my own lunch. Everything was spot on! The burger had the perfect ratio of ingredients, good seasoning, fluffy bun. Every last fry was crispy and tasty. Well deserving of their perfect rating!

Just found this brand new place, and it's a fantastic find. Open only 7 weeks, Flavez is already clearly a favorite of locals, because they had steady business the whole time I was there. It's a small place at the corner of a strip mall, and they've got only 4 tables -- but don't let that deter you, as any wait you may have is well worth it. The menu is compact and simple: burgers, fries and drinks. They'll obviously make you whatever version of a smash burger you want, but they suggest 4 different house creations, 2 fairly standard, a western style, and the one I chose: Seoul Heat. This is a crisply-crusted beef burger (single or double) with melted American cheese, pickled onions, frizzled onions, shaved Serrano peppers and their secret "Seoul Sauce," a spicy creation that's thankfully NOT mayo-based. The burger itself was nicely cooked, juicy despite its smash, and well-seasoned. The cheese was properly melted, and the 2 types of onions offered a clever contrast with one another. The Seoul Sauce was a terrific component: a bit spicy, but not too much so, and packed with Asian spices; all served on a Martin's potato bun. This is a great burger at a great price, and very pleasantly different from the usual. I ordered the combo, which came with a drink and fries -- fairly standard issue shoestrings, but cooked in beef tallow and lightly salted, making them a much-appreciated upgrade from what's offered at other casual places. Beyond burgers are also available, so your vegan buddies can join you. The co-owner, Rose, was working the counter and welcoming everyone with a smile. The whole staff was working quickly, and the food they're putting out is really top notch. Yes, it's a fast food place, and yes, it's also a terrific addition to the neighborhood; and yes, you should get in there ASAP to show them some love and help turn their first 7 weeks into their next 7 years!!!

We were really excited to try this new burger spot on Reseda and came away thoroughly impressed. After seeing on Instagram that there had been some pretty long lines, we decided to place part of our order through DoorDash ahead of time. Since we order DoorDash fairly often anyway, we thought it would also be a good opportunity to see how they handled takeout and delivery orders. It worked out perfectly because the kids were able to start eating while we waited for our burgers, which kept everyone happy. The woman working at the front was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We ordered our dine in food at the kiosk as soon as we walked in, and the whole process was very easy and straightforward. The burgers did take a little while to come out, but they were absolutely worth the wait. Everything tasted fresh and was packed with flavor. The fries were such a hit with our kids that we ended up ordering a second order. The Flave Fries (I think that's what they're called) were especially delicious, and the special sauce was so good. The restaurant itself was clean, organized, and efficient. Even as a brand new business, everything seemed to run really smoothly. Great customer service, great food, and an overall great experience. We'll definitely be back and are excited to have such a good burger spot in the neighborhood.

I had high hopes for Flavez Burger after seeing the menu photos, reading that the burgers are cooked in avocado oil and the fries in beef tallow, and noticing its 5-star Yelp rating. Unfortunately, my experience didn't live up to the expectations. I ordered the Double Classic Burger by itself because the menu photos made it look hearty and satisfying, which is why I decided to skip the fries and drink instead of ordering the combo. Besides, I'm trying to cut back on carbs to slim down a bit. When my order came out, the burger was much smaller than I expected, which was a real letdown. The patties were very thin smash-style patties and looked much less substantial than the burger shown on the menu. There was only a single leaf of lettuce, as shown in the photos, and overall it just wasn't nearly as thick or appetizing as the pictures suggested. The biggest disappointment, though, was the flavor. The beef tasted like it hadn't been seasoned at all, so the burger was surprisingly bland. The lettuce, tomato, and sauce couldn't make up for the lack of flavor in what should have been the star of the meal. It did come with a small tub of what appeared to be Thousand Island dressing, but that hardly made up for the overall lack of flavor. On the positive side, the restaurant was clean, modern, and the staff were friendly. I just expected a much more flavorful and filling burger based on the menu presentation, the 5-star Yelp rating, and, honestly, even the name of the place. Sadly, it didn't deliver, and I don't see myself coming back.

I've never been a fan of in n out. This place is definitely a hit. They fry everything in avocado oil. It's definitely not greasy or heavy. The Seoul burger was great, it has a kick (spicy) not as spicy as I'd like but that's a me problem. We also had the Flavez Double with the cheesy fries that were also delicious. Service was fast & friendly. The crowd came in right after us. Seating is scarce, so come thinking you will Take Out. There's only 3-4 tables. But the place was clean & friendly.

This place is located on Reseda Boulevard and Topham Street in Tarzana, California. I heard about this place on TikTok, so I told my wife we should give it a try and see how it was. Apparently, they cook their burgers in avocado oil, and their French fries are cooked in beef tallow, which is supposed to be healthier than what most other restaurants use. Most places cook with vegetable oil or canola oil, which isn't the best for you. I ordered the Double Classic Cheeseburger with no sauce and no tomato because those things don't really agree with my stomach. I ordered the same thing for my wife, along with a side of French fries. I got everything to go because my wife was at work, and I wanted to bring her lunch. By the time I got home, I dropped her food off and then ate my burger. I wasn't as impressed as I thought I was going to be. Based on the restaurant's name, which is a clever play on the word "flavor," I expected a lot more. Unfortunately, this burger had almost no flavor at all. It seemed like they just smashed the patty, cooked it in avocado oil, and put it on a bun. I was definitely not impressed. The French fries weren't anything to write home about either. If I wanted a burger and happened to be nearby, I'd stop in. Otherwise, I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. There just wasn't anything special about it for me. I don't know if it was because I ate it about 10 minutes later after getting home and it wasn't as hot, or if it was something else. It just didn't hit the spot. The restaurant is located in a small shopping center near the Orange Line. Parking can be pretty bad because there's also a Wingstop and several other businesses in the same center. If you go during lunchtime, good luck finding a parking spot. When I arrived to pick up my order and saw how full the parking lot was, I decided to park on Reseda Boulevard about 100 feet away instead. The service, however, was really good. The woman who took my order over the phone was very friendly, helpful, and answered all of my questions about the menu. The ambiance is exactly what you'd expect from a small burger joint. It's clean and casual, but there isn't much seating, so it's probably not the best place for large groups. Would I come back? Maybe, if I was already in the area and craving a burger. But I wouldn't make a special trip just to eat here. I would still recommend that people give this place a try and decide for themselves. Maybe the food is much better when it's served fresh instead of after a 10 minute drive home. Your experience might be different than mine.

I was skeptical about this place since it seemed to have been under construction for a few years. Finally tried it and OH MY GOD- one of the best burgers in town forsure. It definitely reminds me of that classic In N Out vibe with its fresh ingredients. It was perfectly seasoned and the perfect amount of moisture while still maintaining a good crunch. No soggy bites and no need to add extra sauce. The best part was the price. For $30 my partner and I got 2 burgers (hers was a beyond patty), loaded fries, and a drink. I've been to some smash burger joints that charge me $30 just for one combo! This was a steal. Will definitely be coming back to try more. The service was amazing as well!

Just tried Flavez and it did not disappoint! Both my wife and I ordered the flavez burger and it was delicious! The quality of the meat is outstanding and just a great burger overall. The fries also compliment the burger. The service was also great, they did not have a grilled cheese on the menu but they went ahead and made it for us which I appreciated. I ordered it to go but the restaurant was clean and had a good amount of seating. Overall, it is a great burger spot and I would def recommend to anyone looking for a great burger.

My husband and I came in today. He got a double burger with cheese and beef bacon and I got a single with no cheese and beef bacon. I love the fact they have beef bacon because we don't eat pork! So that alone was a PLUS. The fries are cooked in beef tallow, and the burgers in Avocado oil. They are a accommodating, and the meals are made fresh to order. The atmosphere is pleasant. The service was genuine and the food was delicious! It tasted homemade - and hubby got himself another one! It's family owned. SO PLEASE GO CHECK THEM OUT!!!

I placed an online order through their website, and it quoted about a 25-minute prep time with a ready window around 2:56 -3:06 PM. I planned accordingly and even arrived earlier so I could pick it up fresh and avoid waiting. However, just five minutes after placing the order, I received a text saying it was already ready. That immediately raised a red flag, because if you're paying $13+ for a double burger, you expect it to be made closer to your arrival time, not immediately. When I arrived, the burger was already cold. When I brought this up, the employee I spoke with repeatedly said "it's not my fault" and pointed to someone else, instead of taking any ownership or even acknowledging the issue. It was a really poor way to handle a simple customer concern. Eventually, after some back and forth, the burger was remade, but I had to wait another 10-15 minutes. And ironically, it took longer to make it this time than it did after I placed the online order. But then now I wa stuck waiting defeating the whole purpose of ordering ahead. A manager eventually came over and was polite, but by that point the experience had already been frustrating. They also threw away the original burger instead of offering to let me keep it, which felt wasteful. On top of that, when I asked for a couple cups of water for my daughter, I was told I'd need to purchase a bottle, which felt pretty tone-deaf given the situation and didn't even think to offer me any anything for the misunderstanding and having to wait extra time now... The bigger issue here is the lack of coordination and communication. If you're going to quote customers a pickup time, especially for hot food, the order should be made accordingly--not immediately after it's placed. Otherwise, you're guaranteeing that the food won't be fresh when the customer arrives. Between the timing issue, the lack of ownership from staff, and the overall handling of the situation, this was a disappointing experience. I usually like the food, but the service and process today really need improvement.

So far I've had the patty melt, the avocado cheeseburger, and the double bacon cheeseburger, and every single one has hit. First off, the bacon deserves its own mention. Whatever bacon they're using is clearly top-tier quality. Thick, flavorful, cooked right, and definitely not an afterthought. No flimsy strips or skimping here. The burgers are big. Like, legitimately big. These aren't sad, flattened patties. They're hearty, filling, and actually justify the price. They also don't hold back on the cheese, which I appreciate. Everything tastes fresh, well-balanced, and made with care. What really surprised me, especially with inflation being what it is right now, is the value. Their combos are around $16-$17, and for that you get a large burger, a solid portion of fries, and a drink. And it's a fountain drink, not a can, which matters. You're not leaving hungry, and you don't feel like you overpaid. The fries are good, the specials are very reasonable for the quality, and they also have other drink options if you're not in the mood for soda. The vibe is another big plus. You can sit inside or outside, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the people working there are genuinely nice. It really feels like a family-owned spot where customer service still matters. You're treated like a person, not just an order number. For anyone in the neighborhood looking for a good burger, good people, and a comfortable place to sit down and eat, this place is absolutely worth checking out. They created custom plain burgers specifically for the kids, which was a total lifesaver and ensured even the pickiest eaters were happy :) The service was friendly, professional, and seamless from start to finish. Daniel and his partner were a pleasure to work with and made the hosting experience so much easier. If you want high-quality food and excellent service for your next event, I highly recommend them!

We used Howie's Burgers for my son's first birthday party. For my guests who got burgers, they said…read morethey really enjoyed them! The cooks were nice and friendly! Communication could be better when planning the event. I had to reach out multiple times throughout the process. They ran out of burgers for my guests even though they said they brought extra patties. (I did not go over guest count nor did anyone get seconds). I did a menu of OG burgers and grilled cheese and specifically asked if there would be enough for 40 adult burgers and about 5 kid patties. There may have been miscommunication, but about 7 of my guests did not get burgers. I give 4 stars even though it was frustrating and I feel like I did not get my moneys worth. Again, burgers were great for those who ate them and Daniel and his cook were nice.
