Who wouldn't love a wine named the "F"in Red and the Passione (and make sure you whisper it in your best French accent) were good but you can't leave without buying the 10 Ten...amazing. This was our first stop in Napa! We had made an appointment a week or so prior. Some close friends had just been and said this place was unique, intimate, and had great wines! We were greeted outside as soon as we arrived! We were walked into a warehouse where there were 3-4 little tents set up that mimicked a comfy dining room atmosphere. He took us to the very back corner tasting area and were seated (in nice leather comfy chairs)! It was cold out so he had a little heater going next to us. The tasting is $35 and includes 6 tastings. The wines were incredible. There was not one that I didn't like. We even got to sample a wine right out of the barrel, it will be called 10/10! Delicious! The tasting was informational, learning stuff I never knew about wine (and I'm a wino), and there was no one else there, just my husband and I! We bought a couple bottles and will tell friends who visit this is a must! We can't wait to get our bottles in the mail (they ship to you so you don't have to take them on the plane home)! read more

We came in on the recommendation of our driver and were surely glad we did! At the time they were going through some construction but the personalized service was still amazing and very much appreciated. We did a great tasting of their reds and ended up taking a good amount home with us. Looking forward to returning on our next trip to see how the Rennovations came out. We happened to be the only ones there when we went and it worked to our favor cause we got to taste many of their barrel wines! Great hidden surprise on our Rutherford passport weekend. Highlights: - Botiquey winery for sure: very small - Wines: we really loved 2 out of the 3 that we tasted--a pinot and cab. Fruity and smooth and bit unique and delicious. - Fun personality: for the passport weekend, they had a chinese take out box of chinese chicken salad to pair with their chardonnay and a chocolate covered fortune cookie to go with their cab. :-) Far from traditional which was a nice change. On the back of their business card - Bathrooms: they are huge barrels. The people working at the winery said it's their most photographed spot. Lowlights (my flip side to highlights): - Spendy wines: we got 2 bottles for $150 and that was with a discount :-O - Bit hard to find: towards the end of a side street and you navigate a bit of dirt roads to get into the winery location - Of the 2 people who were talking to us, neither of them were the owners or the winemakers which would have been nice to meet like we did at some of the other smaller wineries. I'll be back to try more of the wines they make and see what the usual tasting experience is like there, as I'd like to see their tent and tasting room and try the blending. read more

Came a few months ago, decided to open a bottle of the Le Fleur 29 tonight, that we purchased on our visit. I realized after a sip that it deserves a review with the hope of putting this brand on the map and compete with the big wineries of Napa. An absolute gem! My fiancé and I come to Napa at least twice a year and tried to do smaller Oakville wineries, rather than the usual Caymus, Cakebread, Nickel& Nickel, etc. This was, hands down, the best new addition to our collection. We bought a case of Le Fleur 29, Rutherford, PDX and Ten10 Cabernets. We hope this winery stays around for years and years to come! read more

Over the July 4th weekend my wife and I along with some friends attended a wine tasting at Fleury. This was the last of many tasting experiences we had throughout the week where our focus was small production family owned wineries. Admittedly we had high expectations for the week and all the wineries we visited with the exception of Fleury had met or exceeded our expectations. Fleury fell short is more ways then can be listed in this review including our tasting host. When we returned home and finally had an opportunity to speak with the owners our feedback fell on deaf ears. We paid nearly $400 for the tasting fee and my recommendation is to buy 200 bottles of '2 Buck Chuck' if you want a better experience or just skip Fleury altogether. Small intimate tasting in their warehouse! Love places that are like this and a little off the beaten path. We were taking to a back table in the warehouse and went through the tasting. Ask for the Passionaie (off menu) as it's quite delightful. They also have a bottle called BDX that is on the wine list at The French Laundry, but I far preferred the Passionaie. Pricey wines and a pricey tasting but totally worth the experience. read more

My friends and I came here after being overserved at Duckhorn, so Fleury had a high bar set for them and they didn't really hit it. I realize it's a small winery, but overall, not the best organized tasting (or maybe we were not the best tasters). First, yes the wines are all solid. I'd say a couple of them are slightly overpriced. Their Port is well worth the $75. My issues with the tasting were such: 1. All pours were in the same glass! if the wine is as fine as your prices indicate, give me a different glass for each tasting! 2. The forced stop shot pourer made it hard to befriend the pourer and get some glasses topped off 3. We got our tasting done for $25, but apparently it's now $35, which is a bit much for their tasting I think. I also had remind them about the two barrel tastings included and the guy just gave a couple of us one... read more

This was our first stop of the weekend. It is a small young winery. Brian and Claudia are amazing and friendly people. It is bit tough to find this appointment only winery. As you drive up Galleron just keep your eye open for the wire Fleur De Lei. We started outside with a Chardonnay '04 and Rose under a tent and chatting with Brian about his background, Maui wine tasting experience and winery. We moved inside the aging room. They have a temp controlled building. Claudia, who also does a bit of interior design, set up three areas among the wine barrels. The huge wine barrel outside is an elegant restroom. She took over our flight at the big group table. The winery does mainly reds. Fleury offers blending. You can blend your own wine but you must buy it by the case. Most of our flight was Cab. The '04 we tried was 100% Cab fruit. I enjoyed it. There '04 red table wine was amazing. It is a Bordeaux blend. It is a Meritage but Fleury decided not to pay the extra $2 a bottle to put this on the label. We just had a great time. We spent about 3 hours there chatting and sharing stories with Brian and Claudia. We learned they have a few cabins in there vineyards that will be available for rent in the near future. This winery is small handcrafted good wines. Something of a find you might say. It is a definite stop. So give them a call. You can also pick up gear designed by Oakley. The only winery they will do. Several us visited Napa a few months back before we headed to Pebble Beach so I apologize if this review is a little dated but thought I'd get it out there.. Recommended by Alejandro at Jarvis as a small vineyard that does red wine great... we were able to sneak in for a tasting on our last day in May... Off the beaten path how about no sign of any kind no markings anywhere if you don't know this place is here or not looking for it you won't find it... Small tasting area in the warehouse were a couple of tables are set up for you to taste.. Vince was our presenter very nice guy who went over the winery grape local etc.. only producing about 4000 cases this is one of the smaller places to visit.. $35.00 per person tasting but you get some unreal red wines... Make sure you ask for some from the "RESERVE TASTING" as well... I like these smaller places mixed in and their reds although pricey were some of the best around... read more

Dont let the outside appearance sway you from visiting. Went here for a bridal shower with 6 friends & made an appt the previous week & was told that 1pm was the latest available appt for the day. When we walked in we were greeted by a handsome gentleman Frank. He didnt have our appt on the schedule but still graciously seated us in a gazebo setting inside the warehouse. Frank & Ryan engaged in conversation & humor, served us with patience as we were a little rambunctious. We really enjoyed the reds more than the whites. The "F" in Red was our favorite as we purchased a few bottles. We also shared a Chardonnay outside under a gazebo where we enjoyed the scenery and their winery cat "Darth", who was the friendliest cat ever. They allowed us to picnic at the gazebo & never rushed us, always checking on us to see if we needed anything else. Unfortunately, The famous wine barrel restroom has been permanently shut down & locked so we didnt get to enjoy that experience as it was something we were all looking forward to (I know it sounds weird to look forward to a bathroom but this one was so unique & beautiful). The tastings were pricey $35pp. Wines are also pricey but we did enjoy them & bought a few bottles. Overall, good experience, nice staff, accomodating, just a lil pricey for a warehouse setting. read more

Hi Brian, My name is Rob, pardon the the rambling commentary but allow me to share my wine experience with you. My wife & I bought seven bottles of your BDX 2011 Howell Mountain $$$. Opened the first on April 11th, my birthday which coincided with Masters Sunday by the way. So, we attempted to open a bottle of your wine (BDX) the corkscrew went through the cork like it was balsa wood. And the screw came out like balsa wood leaving a nice hole in the middle of the cork. Did I mention the cork didn't budge either. It took about ten minutes to carefully, knife-remove the cork and luckily had a very fine mesh strainer to get most of the cork filtered out. The wine seemed okay. A bit corky, though (my poor excuse at humor). Note, a bit of dissatisfaction! So I then attempted to reach your winery via telephone, direct line option "3" leaving very polite messages on 4-12 & 4-16 as well as sending email on Friday the 16th. At this writing no acknowledgement. So my simple questions are: Is there any easier way to remove the wax/plastic seal around the neck? Are bad corks common? Should I be worried about my remaining bottles? What should I do if this happens again? Did I mention that all I'm asking for is answers not a replacement. I purchased the wine from WTSO by the way. After coming back here a second time it really depends on the people you interact with. When I emailed to book an appointment I was told they had very limited availability all day however when I was there, I was the only guest there so not really sure about the limited availability. I rearranged my entire day to fit within their open appointments and then my appointment was never booked so no formal tasting available. read more

Hours after I left this place I realized that I left my ring on the table where I was tasting to apply some lotion. I left a message that same day and offered to come pick it up that same day and then I called at least five times over the next couple weeks leaving multiple messages inquiring about the ring. Never received a response or any acknowledgment that my call had been received. Apparently, this winery prides itself more on its wine, then on its customers. Contrary to other reviewers, I was not impressed with Fleury. We went there as part of a limo tour with Beau Wine Tours. The wines were overpriced and tasted average at best, except for a great barrel tasting of syrah. And the worst part of our visit - the owners were arrogant and rude. We couldn't wait to get out of there. This was in contrast to our great experience at Caldwell and Gabrielle, where the owners were down-to-earth and very approachable. read more

Our company booked the place for an outing during the summer. The place was beautiful and very peaceful (my one complaint was that they only had portapotties). Of all the amazing wineries we visited, Fleury was heads above the rest. Eric, the winemaker's son, poured for us at a beautiful table underneath an old parachute tent. Amazing. He was darling. We visited Fleury based on a friends recommendation on our last visit to Napa, in November 2014. Out of the 7 vineyards we visited that trip, this was our number one with one other, Joseph Phelps being a tie or Joseph Phelps might be a possible number 2. When we arrived we walked around and then was greeted by one of the people working there. We did our tasting inside, which was cool how they have it setup, simple but cool. They are very friendly and they tell you about the vineyard/winery and their wines. The tasting was great, relaxing and fun. We were very relaxed and able to enjoy all the wines as we sat at a table with just our party of three. (The tastings are more of a private tasting which is nice.) Their wines are great. I don't love tannin's, where your mouth gets dry after a glass. Their wine doesn't dry your mouth out and it has really great flavor, all of the wines. To pick my favorite, would be hard, basically all of them. My favorite is probably the 2009 Rocket Juice...so good and really awesome! I actually really liked their Cab's, especially the 2008 Lauren Bryce Cab. The Le Fleur 29 was so smooth and really great. Then I finished with their Port, since I really like Port I had to try it....and well so smooth and sweet, which I really liked. It is on a sweeter side for a port, if you don't like sweet you might not like it. What we bought was everything I listed above. The wines are not cheap, but so worth it. This is a must for any Napa visit, make sure to book your wine tasting/experience in advance. read more

The atmosphere here's warm and personal and it is quite clear that the folks here are passionate about their products. The wines, in a word, are superb. Not a mass market commercial filler in the bunch. Every one is better than the next. We are frequent visitors to Napa and never omit this stop because we know it will always be good. The private tasting at Fleury was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Each of their wines is spectacular and unique. I even loved their sauvignon blanc, and I generally stay far away from whites. I highly recommend this place because it's such a breath of fresh air in Napa. It's not pretentious, and has a youthful air about it that doesn't allow guests to get bogged down in some of the stuffier aspects of wine tasting like cork sniffing and general snootery. This place is an absolute treasure and is best experienced with a couple friends, not a bus full of people on a wine tour. read more

This is a small winery that is easy to pass on the small road. Their tasting room is inside of their barrel room and they have private tasty areas for small groups. The wine is interesting and our favorites were the Z Cab, BDX, and "F" in Red. They also have some really good cabernet sauvignon made with grapes from Howell Mountain...really good but not as good as Nickel and Nickel. It's a small winery that makes a limited number of bottles but I'm not sure it justifies their $90 bottles. Loved their service and they also allow dogs inside the tasting room! Our shiba came along and hung out under the tasting table. What fun! read more

Went to Fleury a couple weeks ago on a friday. The winery is by appt. only. I called at the very last minute to see if they could fit me in for a tasting, they were so accomodating! All the employees were so welcoming! The wine was also AMAZING!! I wanted to Buy every bottle they made, (unfortunatly wasn't in my budget). The winery is Very small and only makes about 3,500 cases a year. They only sell direct to consumer through the winery, so I highly reccomend everyone visits before they sell out! I bought a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, and the "F"IN RED Blend. I will definitly be back and send many friends to this winery! read more
