What an absolutely amazing wine tasting experience. I've had my eye on this tasting room since I first saw it under construction. I was lucky enough to get the chance to come by during a work excursion. The interior was stunning. Who ever did the designing of the space had a beautiful eye. Once a home, the space has been lovingly crafted into a gorgeous tasting room. The furniture and decor blew me away but my favorite aspect was the original foundation that you could see through a glass portion of the flooring. I love a place with history. The wines were absolutely incredible. My favorite being their 2017 Cab. But each wine was incredibly smooth. Their Blanc de Blancs was another favorite. The cheese and charcuterie was plentiful and tasty. James and Adriana treated us like true VIPs. I know a couple of my teammates went back for round two within a week of our initial tasting. I look forward to visiting Mathew Bruno again and definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the valley. Bonus points for their bocce ball court!!

We had the wonderful experience of tasting Mathew Bruno wines this past weekend with friends from Modesto and the experience was amazing. The grounds are beautiful, the wines are all delicious especially the bubbly. The stemware they use is exquisite. Be sure to Include the charcutier board with your tasting too!! Sean was so knowledgeable about the wines and answered all our questions and then some... we had a surprise visit from Mathew himself who sat with us & was truly delightful... Mathew Bruno Winery is a MUST!!! Salute!!!!!!

Beautiful venue with a lovely fall touch.

I am a white wine connoisseur because of my dietary restrictions with most ingredients in red wines, especially cherries and plum, that trigger my stomach pain and headaches. I have missed enjoying red wine because of this. I was hoping and praying that when my friends who are members of PEJU planned this wine tasting treat, that my stomach and head would be fine and to my surprise, my palate, tongue, stomach and heart were pleased with the Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Fifty/Fifty, and more, including reserve reds Todd served and educated us about! I have NEVER enjoyed red wines like these I tasted at PEJU. Since the time of our outstanding wine tasting experience, I have recommended and raved about Todd and PEJU winery to friends and family who appreciate and value high quality wines and winery experiences. It felt like a vacation getaway being in the tasting room building, admiring the breathtaking stained glass art, all of the art inside and the beautiful art and nature views outside. I appreciate the PEJU staff and management team who welcomed us and were kind to us all the way to the end of our wine tasting experience when we left. This is the kind of treatment that makes us want to return. Napa is a special place for friends, family, and me, and PEJU is now an indelible memory in my Napa adventures! Todd clearly enjoys his important professional position, is passionate about wine and the wine experience, and brings so much joy to customers! I can't recommend him and PEJU enough! Todd went above and beyond to give us a VIP experience and even gave me a bag full of wine corks for my art project after I told him about this and asked for some of their wine corks we saw lined up in their wine uncorking and pouring area. Thank you, Todd!

The grounds are gorgeous inside and out, and I really enjoyed the stained glass, large open windows, and the statues and the koi pond area outside. The service was extraordinary, and I had a great time learning a bit about the different wines PEJU offers from Joseph. I tried quite a few different wines, and really liked how there are a few unique offerings here that you can't find elsewhere - I ended up getting a bottle of their Province, the Farm, and their late harvest orange muscat. PEJU is also one of the few wineries with a permit to serve food. If I had known ahead of time, I would've planned to eat here! The rilettes were super tempting, but Joseph advised that if I was planning to eat a meal afterward to stick to the chips and dip - this ended up being quite a generous portion as well, and I really enjoyed the goat cheese truffle dip alongside the wine tasting :) Overall, PEJU is definitely a beautiful winery to visit with excellent service, and I'll definitely be back!

Frog's Leap is simply our favorite winery in Napa Valley, and the reasons run deeper than the wine itself. In a valley increasingly dominated by cabernet sauvignon monoculture, John and Rory Williams have stayed true to a different philosophy -- growing and making wines that reflect genuine passion rather than market trends. They are also committed to responsible farming practices like organic, dry farming that are not only good for the land, but result in wines that have a sense of place. That commitment shows in every bottle. Not every varietal will suit every palate (I haven't quite gotten behind Charbono yet - sorry Rory!), but each one is exceptionally well-crafted and represents remarkable value, especially against the Napa marketplace. The wines are site-driven, elegant and balanced, not just over-oaked fruit bombs. The property is gorgeous, the tasting room staff are consistently warm and accommodating, and the winery is genuinely family-friendly -- something that matters to us greatly, as we often visit with our son. It's important to belong to a place that makes you feel welcomed, and not some of the sterile, hoity-toity atmosphere of many wineries these days. The club events and regular pickup party are highlights our whole family looks forward to when they come around. We have many great memories there like getting to help sort grapes in the 2023 vintage, cookie decorating around Christmas timeThere's also something special about seeing John and Rory at those events, hearing directly from them about their philosophy and how the current vintage is unfolding. That personal connection to the people behind the wine is rare and deeply appreciated. If you're looking for a winery that leads with integrity and craft over trend-chasing, Frog's Leap deserves your visit.

Easy to find, beautiful from the road in, and exactly what you picture when you think Napa. The whites and reds are all worth trying. Each one tastes distinct, and the flagship bottles run $44 to $125, so not cheap, but fair for wines this good. Membership is the real draw. Members get full tastings plus a food menu for themselves and two guests, which we lean on every time we pick up wine. The grounds are stunning. Plenty of tables across the property, including quiet, secluded spots for a real conversation. The member experience runs about 1.5 hours, which is plenty. The food held up too. Tomato arancini with basil aioli, bruschetta, roasted olives, marcona almonds, hummus with crispy pita, sourdough with oil and balsamic. The arancini was the best bite of the spread, crisp outside, creamy in the middle, with the basil aioli pulling it together. Staff have been friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful on every visit. A few notes: tastings cap around 6 to 8 per party, specialty experiences like the Cambium vertical are discounted for members rather than free, and your membership carries over to their sister property, St. Francis in Sonoma. I was sold quick quick because I bought three bottles. We also learned that this family makes balsamic vinegar. Not the type you buy in the store. This is the 25 year commitment stuff. Their vinegar is older than some marriages. Let that sink in. They're only in year three so this vinegar is not available to me and you yet. Stay tuned. Finally, we hang out on the patio, tasting wine we all buy. The wine maker himself (Dad) comes out. We gossiped and shot the shit. What a fantastic spot. They are killing it.
