My visit here was happenstance. I intended to go someplace else, made a wrong turn, then decided to go here instead. This place is beautiful. They've only been there for a year I believe, but from the outside to the inside, everything is purposely selected and placed. And the bathroom! Yes you read that right, the bathroom is impressive. Probably what stuck out to me the most was the wine glasses used for the flight tasting. These glasses are exquisite. While I don't remember the exact dollar figure, they use German glassware that was 100 a pop, and each glass was selected based on enhancing which wine was being tasted. The first glass on the left was what we started with, which was a white, and as you go toward the right you transition into the bulbous fishbowl type glassware typically used to drink reds. The flight tasting was 75 which is pricey, and their flagship red is quite expensive in my opinion. However, you like what you like and if you enjoy it then it's meant for you. This is a great place and I'll most definitely visit again when I'm back in Napa. read more

Our first time to visit Mathew Bruno tasting room, located stone throw away from Rutherford Grill. Had a great time tasting through the rose, Sauvignon Blanc and a few amazing Cabernets. The standout is the George III that they cannot put on the label as such but it is silky, luxurious and well balanced. The cheese plate is amazing and very generous portion. Met the owner Matthew that tells us all about his passion project of building the tasting room (as you can imagine with Napa's rules it took years to execute). read more

This is a small private winery in a lovely setting with excellent wines. The landscaping and furnishings are modern an tasteful. The place instills calm and appreciation of the beauty of the environs. Sean guided us gently and expertly through the library of wines produced here. He was knowledgeable and personable. What an absolutely amazing wine tasting experience. I've had my eye on this tasting room since I first saw it under construction. I was lucky enough to get the chance to come by during a work excursion. The interior was stunning. Who ever did the designing of the space had a beautiful eye. Once a home, the space has been lovingly crafted into a gorgeous tasting room. The furniture and decor blew me away but my favorite aspect was the original foundation that you could see through a glass portion of the flooring. I love a place with history. The wines were absolutely incredible. My favorite being their 2017 Cab. But each wine was incredibly smooth. Their Blanc de Blancs was another favorite. The cheese and charcuterie was plentiful and tasty. James and Adriana treated us like true VIPs. I know a couple of my teammates went back for round two within a week of our initial tasting. I look forward to visiting Mathew Bruno again and definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the valley. Bonus points for their bocce ball court!! read more

Stopped in while I was in town. I've been to Napa four times and each time I usually find one wine that I like at each place and that's it. I can honestly say that I enjoyed each wine that I tasted here. Their Cabs are obviously my favorite but the whites were really nice too and each of their wines is so pure. No blends or anything done too tricky or gimmicky. The tasting room and outdoor area is very nice and the staff (James and George) was very knowledgeable and friendly. Such an elegant and beautiful tasting room. They did such a wonderful job tying in sophistication with comfort. The staff was very friendly, specifically Adriana. She was so down to earth, knowledgeable and just makes you feel so comfortable. Her passion and appreciation for the Mathew Bruno brand was very evident. The wines are amazing. While I am partial to the cab, they literally have something for everyone. I was pleasantly surprised by their newest wine, the Pinot Noir. Highly recommend you visit. read more

We had the wonderful experience of tasting Mathew Bruno wines this past weekend with friends from Modesto and the experience was amazing. The grounds are beautiful, the wines are all delicious especially the bubbly. The stemware they use is exquisite. Be sure to Include the charcutier board with your tasting too!! This place is a hidden gem in Rutherford. This historical beautiful house that has been transformed into an elegant tasting room with a beautiful surrounding landscape complete with a bocce court. The service was impeccable, ask for George. Also be sure to taste the Rosé and Sparking along with the Cab. It is rare that I like the whites and big Cabs at a place. They do have a chocolate pairing available if you book online, chocolate and wine with a beautiful view. What more could you ask for? read more

I walked in for a tasting, walked out stocking my wine fridge. Sean is amazing and knowledgeable about the wine he is serving you. The wine itself is awesome. Highly recommend you check out the rosé, pinot noir, and "to kalon". Sitting out on the deck enjoying some wine makes it feel a little like you're at home / at a rich friend's home. I went back, asked for a bottle of rose and sat on the patio hanging out with some new wine-friends. Everyone from the people I met during the tasting to Mathew and his wife were just genuinely good people and its hard to find that with good wine. read more

We're so happy to know that Mathew Bruno Estate is open! This newer property does not disappoint! We booked the Mathew Bruno Napa Valley estate for our corporate event. James was incredibly helpful with booking our experience. He crafted an experience that accommodated every one of our team members. We had the pleasure of wine tasting on their back patio / yard area complete with bocce and corn hole. The activities were a refreshing thing to see at a wine tasting venue because often wineries are limited to just tastings. The patio butted up against mature vineyards which created a very relaxing environment. Upon arrival we were welcomed by Victoria, James, and Rudy with a lovely sparking wine and history of how this new property came to be. The overwhelming feeling of welcomeness was something that will be remembered. This was our last stop of the day and by far the best because of their attention to detail, customer centric approach, and above and beyond accommodation. Mathew Bruno created a beautiful tasting menu with wonderful varieties. We had the pleasure of enjoying five of his wines. I personally purchased two bottles of Pinot Noir for myself! I highly recommend Mathew Bruno Napa Valley because of their hospitality, location, ambiance, and tasting menu. This place is perfect for groups or individual tastings and because of their activities, you could spend your entire afternoon there!
