The girl at the counter saw this and immediately started describing the different chicken dishes selling the perks to each one and explaining spice level. She did an awesome job of making sure I ordered everything I wanted. I got the OG chicken sandwich, and it was perfect! Tender moist chicken. Good crunch coating. Bun and sauce had appropriate ratio. The pickles were half sour so they added the right amount of flavor without being overwhelming. Fairly priced at $7 The biscuits, dang these things are huge! Fabulous texture of crunchy and soft, not too crumbly. Buttery and salty mmm The broccoli salad should not be called broccoli salad. It was more bell pepper than anything else. All the veggies were crunchy and fresh and flavorful. Unsure the point of the dressing as I could not taste anything additional over the fresh vegetables. Good, but overpriced for portion size at $5 The atmosphere has room for improvement. It doesn't feel inviting. The music was far louder than it needed to be for 2pm at a chicken restaurant, which was actually fine since the employees were largely standing around talking about things I dont need to hear. My son absolutely loves this place, and being that it's Patriot's Day and Mondy most restaurants are either slammed or closed. FTB had no wait because we were able to order online and received texts when the food was ready. I had the fried chicken on a biscuit, and was able to choose among several other additions as options (mayo, ranch, ketchup, etc). Finally tried Flip The Bird after hearing lots of good things and, boy was everyone right...Best chicken sandwich I've had in years. For me, the chicken was perfect and the ranch and pickles on the OG just made the best toppings. I cannot figure out how this place manages to get their crispy chicken to consistently crunch and be perfectly seasoned. I love that their batter sort of sizzles in your mouth without burning your mouth and the oil sort of wets your lips allowing the flavor to linger. The staff is always pleasant and patient and eager to ensure you are ordering exactly what you want. I also love the vibe in the shop, almost projecting me back to my college days. Couldn't be better. The fact that this place is locally and family owned is the cherry on top. The sandwich is just perfectly executed and constructed. People are gullible or they simply don't have standards! The Nashville has ZERO HEAT--ZERO, ZIP, ZILCH, NIL, NADA! The fries are greasy and mediocre, but the absolute WORST offense is that they split the chicken breasts in half, so your chicken sandwich is HALF of a single breast that has been heavily fired/crusted, with coleslaw and a thick bun so it appears like you're getting a lot of food when you are actually not getting any meat! Came here as it was posted on every food social media that I follow on Instagram. I am from the north shore but currently live around 35 minutes away. Went this past weekend and gave it a try and it was good! The bun was a little too big for the chicken but I see now a lot of people add a piece for that reasoning. I ended up getting "the OG" and the sandwich was delicious! The ranch was so creamy and tasty and the pickles were perfect! The chicken was crispy and cooked to perfection. I would recommend NOT getting the fries as they weren't that good. If I was in the area I would go back for sure but not worth the travel if you are not in the area. read more

I work across the street and finally had the chance to go here. I ordered the "Angry Bird" chicken sandwich. I love this place. Sure it's in the cursed Beverly strip mall, a space that seems to turn over eating establishments faster than a greasy spoon turns over tables, but Flip the Bird took over the corner space and have stayed in business. My wife and I have ordered from here on an off since they opened. I get a regular bun, skip the biscuits, I find them dry. The buns are soft squishy and toasty. YUM. The chicken is perfectly fried and juicy and crispy. I like the Nashville Hot and the Cry bird. The cry bird will make you cry, so work up to that heat level, it's got gloves for a reason. The other sandwiches are delicious too. The fries are only okay and occasionally not okay, but if you get a container of pepper jelly it makes them good. They aren't cheap, but the cheap alternatives around aren't great, and this place is great! read more

Good food, I've had difficulty with the ordering/pick up though. Pre covid it was always pretty busy at lunch which was great, fresh quick service, usually a line. Now with covid, even when places can be open, the only option is online ordering and pickup and it is not too great. Big complaint was the online thing said 30 mins on the fast end. No problem there. I got a fried chicken sandwich and fries so I wanted to eat it as quickly as reasonably possible so I got there 10 min early. My food was waiting for me... the sandwich was acceptably warm, a little steam affected from being in a closed box, but the fries were luke warm. They were still kinda crispy, they do have good fry and I love the truffle ketchup, but for a fried food joint they gotta get this online take out game a little better figured out before I go for it again. Gross - will not be back. Not worth the $40 for two sandwiches, a side of fries - that could only feed 1 person and two beers. My sandwich was greasy - like I was drinking grease and chasing it with my beer. I got the Nashville hot and let me say I HATE when places say their chicken is "Nashville Hot" clearly these people have been down south. This chicken was "spicy" but like Wendy's spicy chicken nuggets. If you want a fried chicken sandwich - just go to Chick fil a or Wendy's or if you can make it to Popeyes - just go there. This is another place that I've wanted to try for awhile but never had the time to go to Beverly. That changed on a very icy Monday early afternoon. I first visited Jolie Tea in Salem (highly recommend) and then my dining partner and I decided to get some chicken sandwiches and see what all the fuss is about. The location isn't bad at all. I saw one review say it was in a bad part of Beverly. There aren't any bad parts of Beverly so that made me laugh. It's in a plaza with other restaurants and shops so plenty of parking which I always appreciate. The menu is awesome. They have very different types of chicken sandwiches plus french fries in different styles, other items like chicken and waffles and some unique local beers. We decided to get take out and surprise my mother with a sandwich. For her, we got the OG. She really loved it. In fact, the sandwiches are pretty big so she saved half of it for work the next day. She was a big fan of the pickles. I went with the Early Bird. Loved the egg on top. Done perfectly and really went well with the honey butter. I loved that honey butter. Such a unique and fun taste. Finally, my partner got the Angry Bird. It was very spicy (he loved it). We also got some fries (really good!) with the truffle ketchup. Not a fan of the ketchup but he was and saved it to use in another meal. Prices are really good for how large the chicken sandwiches are. I mean they are huge. We didn't call ahead and ordered with a bit of a line and even then the food didn't take long at all. I have to make it a point to go back sooner rather than later to try the OG and maybe get another Early Bird. Yum. read more
