We recently moved to the area and needed to find a new comfort restaurant nearby. Londi's is just up the street from us with a menu nearly identical to the place we frequented in Winthrop. It's a small restaurant in a little strip mall building with plenty of parking. We were greeted the moment we walked through the door and you can see the buzz of cooks in the open kitchen. The menu is huge and full of options for everyone and anyone. We ordered the stuffed chicken with a side salad and mac & cheese, the steak alfredo pasta and a chocolate chip cookie. Its hard when you're comparing restaurants with exact menu items because we found ourselves liking our previous place better for the chicken, but it was prepared nicely with lots of fresh spinach inside. The mac & cheese leaves a lot to be desired - it's wet cheese with little flavor. However, the steak alfredo pasta literally made me say WOW from the first bite. I wish I could give them 0 stars!! I ordered 2 roast beef sandwiches and sweet potato fries. BBQ Sauce for both, and cheese on one. This was at 6pm. At 720 I called to see where my food was and they told me it would be here in 5 minutes. Twenty minutes later it arrived, and I tried asking the delivery driver if it was made fresh or an hour and 40 minutes ago. He said they were busy and the cook made all orders at once, so he wasn't sure. He said he'd take it back and when I agreed for a refund he refused. Then he told me it was fresh. I opened the food and the fries are cold and all clumped together. Both sandwiches have cheese instead of one, and they're also cold. I called the store back and tried to explain what happened and ask if I could get a refund. He argued with me saying the food should be at room temperature. He then, without taking my name or number, told me he would give me good next time. I asked him if he just wanted me to bring it back for a refund and he refused. When I told him about the cheese being incorrect, he said nothing. I said, so we have a cold incorrect order that was placed AN HOUR AND 40 MINUTES prior to being delivered, and I don't get a refund? He kept making excuses so I said that's fine, I'll be leaving this honest negative review of them everywhere I can, and he told me I'm being rude. Seriously?? THEN he said he told me he has to see how to work a refund through them system. The man lied and was rude. I saps I will never order from them again and hung up. Listen to the reviews you see. Ok, this is updated review number two. Since my last review, we have tried Londi's again several times and it has been on the uptick. It has returned to its better times. We usually order the Honey BBQ chicken calzone and it has returned to its tasty goodness. Our other go to is the Londi's special calzone. The other day, I ordered a pizza with meatballs and was happy with the flavor of the meatballs and the taste of the sauce. We have ordered several other style calzones and, again, they have gone back up in quality. I'm glad we can have this as an alternative when we are short on time and just want to eat something quick and good. read more

Food is hot, fresh, high quality, location is nice, clean, service is polite and quick... Out of all the things that would cost a place a star, I cannot believe portions being too large would be one of them. Yes, you read this correctly, the portions they have at this place are TOO large for the price. Out of the two things, I have ordered so far: a BLT Club, and a Chicken Caesar Wrap, both have been too large to consume in one sitting. Either you have to have another person eating with you, or you have to save food for later. Keep in mind, I am not a small guy by any means, and can happily devour an entire Foot-long from Subway in one sitting and not feel particularly bloated at the end of it. This is where the problems with the large portions come in... First: handling... the BLT is hard to hold, and the C.S. Wrap fell apart on me immediately. Secondly, and perhaps more importantly, the proportions of ingredients are offset severely. For instance, a C.S. Wrap needs a certain proportion of lettuce to chicken to wrap to cheese to croutons to dressing. When you have a portion as big as these, it is sometimes impossible to keep the proportions . Their pizzas are pretty good also, and they are of a more reasonable size - in other words, correspond to the size of your order. Finally, there is no way around the large portions, case in point, I wanted a side of onion rings. I asked how large the small size is, and was told that there is enough food there for two people, IN THE SMALL SIZE. I asked if they could give me a third of the small portion. They said that they could, but the price would still be the same. read more
