I'll start off by saying the experience was memorable. My fiancé and I visited this pizza shop on a whim. The outside and inside looks fun and inviting. I like the decor of the barrels. And inside is a fun beachy diner feel. We ordered the two slice and drink combo and got the Tomato Basil and the Bronx. Both slices came from the pizza glass and were warmed up in the pizza oven. Overall, they were good. The crust is thin, the dough is slightly charred which is a must for me. The tomato was very flavorful. The tomato is thinly sliced which doesn't take away from the pizza too much. The Bronx was good too. Think of it as a meat lovers. The pizza was not greasy and pretty good for being warmed up again. If we had it fresh I know it'd be a hit. There were some minor hiccups. The staff was an interesting group. One of the staff members almost served my beer with half the glass foamed up. I believe another team member asked him to fix it. This same team member left my cookie in the pizza oven too long and it burned. And finally their credit card machine decided to do a reboot in the middle of the payment. I believe the owner was working there. He comes off a little intense but just cares that the business succeeds. He saw the issues that occurred and made it right. He waived the credit card fee, gave me a new cookie and the burnt one for free, and topped off my beer. Good service recovery. Shout to Rex for his customer service. read more

First all the guy on the phone was seems very short with me when asking questions or just place the order like he had something else better to do. They bring in the wine barrel decor inside too. They have limited seating inside. Their menu is pretty large. I opted for their slices of pizza sitting in a glass case. The pizza was lukewarm. Let me start with, I have been coming, on and off, for years. A good decade??? But something is off. I gave it 3 more tries over a few months just to be sure. The pizza is fine. The staff is fine. The difference is the pizza was better. Like it is a notch or two down now. The staff before were lively, almost happy. Not so anymore. It is like they go through the motions but not with the same high level I knew them for. The vibe is off. Something changed. Are there new owners? The pizza was crispier before. The cheese more flavorful. The sauce sweeter. It is like canned sauce with pepper added. Everything is only pro forma level OK. It is not great anymore. I can get OK anywhere. Flippin pizza is Flippin good. It's also Flippin expensive. We have ordered twice now from here. My go to extra mozzarella and pepperoni. A calzone. And the garlic knots with dip. So far everything has been great. The pizza is not only amazing fresh. Toss it in the toaster oven and it's great. Especially since each pizza is huge. I've been coming here since it was opened years ago and I've even become friends with the 3 owners Alex, Jason, and Eugene because they are just SUCH nice people. All 3 of them make the greatest tasting pizzas I've ever had....it's difficult for me to say who makes the best because they are all excellent chefs. Aside from pizzas, they also make insanely good garlic knots, pepperoni [& cheese] roll-ups, and meatballs. Love their marinara sauce as well. Tried their chicken wings and salads a couple times and they were also good! And what's more is that they have a great lineup of beer on-tap, with many of them being Karl Strauss Brewery which is easily my favorite microbrewery. Pricing is definitely fair and they cook their food fast. Absolutely incredible customer service and I feel so lucky to have this place closeby.
