When I worked in the area, I must have passed by Flix Brewhouse a thousand times. However, I never knew it was a movie theatre. A friend recently told me about the theatre and their overall positive experience. Date night with the hubs...we decided to see the new Michael movie. The movie was very well done and captivating. I learned some new things about Michael. First, he was huge visualization and positive imaging guy...likely one of the keys to his success. Also, I did not know he lived as long with his family (according to the hubs he was 29 years old.) Finally, I did not know the fire to his head while filming the Pepsi commercial caused 3rd degree burns and nerve damage which required pain medications. Now for the brewhouse, if you are a big fan of beer, then this is the place for you. I do not drink beer, so this was certainly not my draw. If you like beer, they have a huge assortment to choose from. As you walk into the theatre you can see large metal vats, which you might see in any brewery. In addition, the theatre is extremely comfortable with stadium type seating. You can recline into pure comfort. The sodas and popcorn were topnotch...fresh and tasty. I visited Flix Brewhouse on a date. We were having drinks in the bar area at around 9:00 p.m. and were simply kissing--nothing explicit, disruptive, or inappropriate. A member of management approached us and asked us to stop being affectionate because Flix was supposedly a "family business." That explanation struck me as remarkably inconsistent. This is a movie theater that serves alcohol and shows films containing far more mature and explicit content than two consenting adults kissing. If another customer felt uncomfortable, that was their personal reaction--not harm being inflicted upon them. We were not involving anyone else or interfering with anyone's experience. Management had the authority to make the request, but that does not make the judgment reasonable. Accommodating someone's subjective discomfort by policing harmless adult affection--particularly in the bar area during the evening--reflects misplaced priorities. The experience made the atmosphere feel judgmental and unwelcoming, and it left me with no desire to return. read more

They'll already know I'm a Flix fan! So when my son said, Mom, want to go watch a movie? It's an immediate yes!!!! It's been a minute since I've been to this location and there's been a lot of changes. I love to see how they're evolving. Now you can order from scanning the QR code and you can add to your order whenever you want pick your seat and continue to add to your tab without waiting on a server. Super user friendly and fast. I will say that I unfortunately am still not a fan of the new seat and table design. Depending on where you sit you may not have a good view more than likely it will be obstructed by either your cup and food or the centerpiece that has the lights over the table. The other design flaw is the reclining chair. You recline all the way, The head portion goes all the way back and if you lay back you can't really see the movie. Also the reclining chairs were not designed for those above 5'8 or so. We were visiting the Kalahari water park & decided to go watch a movie close by because it started to rain and we were not disappointed. We went on a Tuesday morning & the tickets were only $6!!! What a pleasant surprise! The staff were all very nice & the chicken & waffles were really good. My mom was pleasantly surprised when she ordered coffee & they gave her a fresh small coffee pot. She loved it. The seats were comfortable and I only didn't like the individual tables because they are a little too high and bright & block your view when you extend the recliner. A way to get a dine-in movie theater experience in the Round Rock area. We've been here many times and have mostly enjoyed our experiences. The sliding table is interesting because it does help to provide space, but can also be easily bumped into and potentially spill anything that sits on it. It also slightly obstructs the view...Their food is decent and their service is friendly and quick. Their restrooms are in a hallway not close to any of the screens so taking a restroom break can be a bit of a trek. Parking is easy to find since they're in a plaza that share the same lot with various other businesses. read more

We had a great experience watching Demon Slayer at 11 am. We had the whole theater to ourselves. Popcorn was fresh! I love that the popcorn was free refills and so are fountain drinks. When it comes to comfort and vibe, Flix is my favorite place to go watch movies. There's ALWAYS a great lineup of current movies but I REALLY love that they routinely have special showings of other movies. And there seems to be a new group of theme of movies every month. Unfortunately when I was visiting Flix with my kids I had gone to the bathroom and saw two teenagers that worked there vaping in the stalls. The girls were laughing and making fun of someone in one of the theaters. When they came out I could catch the name tag but one had bright red hair with bangs and the other had curly hair with pink or red I believe I can't remember. This location and especially the staff gave customers a wonderful experience for the Taylor Swift Eras Tour movie. They had a few gigantic posters up in the entrance of the lobby for people to take pictures and they had a friendship bracelet making station for people to use. They also gave out free bracelets as you entered the movie and when your server introduced themselves! We also got a free Eras Tour poster (7x10). The staff made an announcement before the movie began that everyone must sit in their seats, but can feel free to dance or sing along politely in their own space which I greatly appreciated. The sound quality and volume were great and the movie played without a hitch. The only downfall is their ordering system with the paper. It is the same as Alamo drafthouse, but this particular place did not have the staff to be able to see and handle when people ordered during the movie and there was a lot of waving to them going on that was distracting. More of a not enough staff issue rather than staff not doing their job. Still, it was very clean and the seats were comfortable. We went here for a movie on Christmas Day. I was grateful that they were open and the staff was super welcoming and friendly. We ordered two beers at the bar after the bartender let us try some. She was great! Later, during the movie, I ordered more drinks to our seats online. It may have been user error, but the drinks never came so I went and asked them about it. Born and raised in Austin, and this has been my go-to movie theater since it opened. Sure it's not perfect, but what movie theater is? We all know staffing is an issue these days, so take that with a grain of salt. Prices are fair, the food is decent, the theater is clean, and the seats are comfy. They recently upgraded their seats, the tables slide differently now. The wings are always a personal favorite. Popcorn is just fine as well. My biggest complaint is they no longer have pickles??? My family and I like to see movies on Christmas eve. So we did it again for 2024. I've been to the Flix Theater several times. This is a good theater with a cool bar area and a lot of beers on tap. I have a couple of issues though. The HVAC system was really loud in the theater that we were in. My food that I ordered was deep fried but came out at room temp and the men's room smelled terrible. The location is good, the beers are good and the staff is always kind. I hope my experience is better in the future. read more

My husband and I made our first visit to this aptly named brewhouse and movie theater on a recent Wednesday. Upon entering around 5 pm, we bought reasonably priced reserved-seat tickets from a kiosk and made our way to the bar area, which is open to all (with or without movie tickets). Happy Hour didn't end until 6 pm, so we enjoyed wine and a wine- based margarita and a couple of appetizers. Flix has a wide variety of beer options, and quite a few are made in-house. During happy hours, some are only $3. Same price for house wine (the red my husband tried wasn't particularly good though). There are 5 or 6 appetizers specially priced at $6, and the portions are easily enough to share. We had the loaded fries and chips with hatch chile queso. Regular meals (there's a good variety of choices, including salads) generally run about $15. All may be purchased in the bar area or once inside the movie theater. The movie theaters (there are 9) are comfortable, with plenty of clean table space and excellent service. We took our food and drinks in and enjoyed them in the time before the movie was scheduled to start. Of course, there were previews so the movie started about 15 minutes after the ticket time. Our theater only had 4-5 people total in it, but this wasn't unexpected given it was a weeknight. Tickets may be purchased online in advance, so we may try that next time, especially if we go on a Friday night or weekend. The whole experience was nice - booking tickets online, to walking directly to the cinema , to ordering food from the seat and enjoying the movie! Service was prompt, quick and not causing any disruption to the movie watching experience . Seats and the cinema hall were neat, but the hallway areas (tiled ones) were slippery. We have tried only the starters (chicken wings , sauce, onion rings were all amazing). Flix own beer was better compared to others . Coffee was just like any gas station coffee types. Tip: onion rings is not directly shown in the menu. Choose French fries in the appetizer list, opt for onion rings for additional $1. Worth it ! read more

I will say they have done some remodeling and it has been useful. They have also taken a deep dive into their menu and made necessary changes that actually give you beer brewery meets movie house. Many eateries claim to have that vibe and miss the mark. Flix is getting it right. My only issue is staffing. They have robotic food runners that bring the food from the kitchen to the studio and the servers bring it to your seat. They don't have many servers which is understandable why the restrooms are not being taken care of. Parking is not bad, I have always been able to find a spot no matter the time. The bill, including mandatory 18% tip and sales tax, was $20.14. For 1 soft drink and a bowl of popcorn! What a rip-off! I purchased the tickets hours earlier. This was my first time visiting flix brew house. My job rented a theatre so we could watch Dune 2! What I love about the seats here are that they are so accessible! There is a whole section for wheel chair users and there guests, as well as the seats in the rows are comfortable recliners with tray tables that move! Any body of any size would be able to fit and I love that because at some of the theatres the trays don't move and don't fit well for larger bodies. We also had a dedicated menu for the event. I had a chicken salad and burger with fries. The food was excellent especially the burger. I also had a pink lemonade and margarita. The drinks are huge. You can't tell from the picture but you really only need one drink. This place is so cool with there robot waiters, a cool bar in the lobby, and great service. The one issue I had is that the theatres don't have doors that makes it easy for the servers however you can hear all the outside noise during the quiet parts of the movie. During the Demon Slayer Infinite Castle movie, kitchen was down. Tickets were purchased online, dinner time movie was ruined, if our child didn't want to watch the movie so much, I would have walked out. Half of the experience is the food and beverages, take away the food, well not partaking in beverages. We enjoy coming here with our 3 year old and the staff makes a point to talk to him and make him feel welcome and included. We have been here twice and surprised at how unfriendly and borderline rude the servers are considering the venue and price. It was convenient to purchase tickets and go straight to my seat where I could order whatever I wanted from there.
