Floanna's Diner is such a cozy little spot, and I've been there a few times now. Their omelettes are really good--fresh, flavorful, and always cooked just right. The coffee is okay, not the strongest, but still warm and comforting with breakfast. The atmosphere is what really makes this place special. It's warm, inviting, and has that classic diner charm that makes you want to sit back and relax. The staff is friendly, and the service is quick every time I go. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and extremely efficient with our group of 8 and an 11 month old. One of the servers noticed that the baby was hungry and brought us a bowl of sliced bananas, got her food order in, picked up her toothbrush from the floor and brought us a cup of hot water to clean it off. I returned because I was craving a Denver omelette with egg whites and a side of ham. The food is delicous and I'm sitting at the counter top watching the two hard working cooks and two servers rushing to get the food out. It's a nice synchronicity watching everyone's flow and seeing locals coming in and chatting with one another. Unlike other diners in Seattle which may feel more transactional, a server in all black clothing was giving hugs to her regulars and wishing them a Happy Thanksgiving. One of the cooks recognized me and it felt like Cheers where everyone knows your name. The sound of silverware being separated, plastic glasses being stacked, and the vintage style decor brings me back to what diners used to be like. You can hear the sounds of newspapers and smell the fresh brewed coffee. This is a cozy place where I've been family reunions. I misjudged this businesses and am giving it 10 stars. read more

Everything went very well. Service truly was excellent. Prices are lower than the general Seattle area. They even have a senior menu. The food was great and they kept the coffee topped off consistently. I really can't say enough about the exceptionally good service. Yes we'll be back and I hardly recommend this place to anyone. First of all the ambiance is excellent. I love the vibes. Everything about it made me think I was going to love it. Unfortunately my eggs Benedict was not great. Everything was drowning in hollandaise and it tasted like it came out of a jug. It was really sweet and off putting. My grapefruit juice was similar and I expected that to be store bought but it tasted like kool aid. Flo-Anna's Diner is a must try if you are in Shoreline! I came for breakfast and knew immediately I was going to like it as soon as I walked through the door. The decor is a traditional 80s/90s vibe but you can tell they keep it clean and tidy. The two ladies working were both very kind and welcoming and I decided to sit at the bar top since I was alone. I ordered a bacon and cheddar omelette with an English muffin. The omelette was a very generous portion with lots of cheese and bacon. The hash brown side was well cooked and seasoned...I added a little salt to everything but I'm sure that's personal preference. I had breakfast Friday morning with my friend. The hash browns had no flavor they tasted old and were hard. The plates and coffee cups were small and so are the portions I had a chicken fried steak. It was only a five ounce steak. The price of my breakfast was comparable to other restaurants where you get an eight or eleven oz steak. Also, the gravy came from a package or can Nothing about what I experienced yesterday is reflected in any of the rating sites I checked before eating here. I'm a chef and like good food. My experience here did not warrant me ever returning. I wish I would have taken a picture so you can see what my plate looked like. read more

Came here at the early afternoon on a week day for brunch and to experience the American diner as I never know what it's like. I ordered mushroom and cheese omelet with the choice of cheddar cheese and sourdough. Huge portion, I usually eat more than average adult women, but even more me it's a big breakfast. I am so glad we finally went here! It was a perfect diner breakfast experience and an absolutely lovely way to start a Sunday with the family. Hearty and delicious food, comfortable atmosphere (not too loud despite being full!), quick service, reasonable prices, and super friendly and kind staff. We've declared it a new favorite. After driving by it for many years, I finally decided to check their menu. I am always on the look-out for places that still serve liver and onions and (for my husband) country fried steak. I love a good diner, especially greek - but this is not it. I had a greek scramble with hash browns and a biscuit. The hash browns were undercooked and soggy, the gyro meat in the eggs was completely bland, and the biscuit was definitely not buttermilk. Possibly frozen. On top of that, the coffee and tea were really expensive. $30 for a bland breakfast. But the service was good and there was no wait on a Sunday morning! read more

Gave us the check before we were close to being done with our food. Took 20 minutes to take our order and didn't even go in order. 25$ for a plate of food I could've made for 10$. After craving for some diner type food, I am happy to have found this little gem. Located on the busy Lake City Way, Flo-Anna is the definition of a old fashion homey diner. Things to note about this place: -Parking - Plenty of spaces around the building -Seating - Seat yourself anywhere and one of the friendly servers will get to you -Pricing - For the amount of food you get, prices here are pretty reasonable -Service - Super friendly staff! :) Food: Ahhh! All of the food I have tried so far have been pretty tasty. Breakfast items are served all day and if you happen to stumble in on a Greek night special, highly recommend trying the Greek items out. So far, I have tried the: Greek Special: Killer deal for $25 that includes - Moussaka (very rich & savory with the layers of meat, potatoes and eggplant), Avgolemono soup (very nice balance of lemony to egg flavor), Greek Salad + Pita bread (very well seasoned) and Greek chocolate cake (very thick and decadent with the richness of the layers and chocolate) Breakfast items: Omelets - you can't really go wrong with any of the omelets in general. Huge portion, very savory, and overall, a nice meal if you're craving eggs! Drinks: If you're a fan of hot chocolate, get a cup! I basically judge the quality of a diner by its chicken fried steak. Fair or not, that's how I roll. And. Damn. Easily best I've had in king county. Hash browns were above average but wouldn't mind them a tad bit crispier but crispier than most. Tapatio at the table is good but my heart will go on for Cholula every day. I went around 1pm and it was quick service - curious if the morning crowd is busy. Guess that means I'll have to come back . Ngl the environment reminds me of 70s lounge but that's just not my thing. It's your basic diner, food is acceptable, but not anything to write home about. The service though was excellent! When we first arrived, it was early, and there was only a couple people eating, our server greeted us and seated us, and despite her young age (she didn't look more than 19) she was attentive and friendly, everything you want in a waitress and more! The place was decorated for Christmas, and it was festive. Before long, the place was packed for dinner and by all accounts, it seemed as if everybody was very happy. I think this is definitely a place to try for brunch, and we are definitely planning on coming back for that! There is a parking lot, it isn't huge, but it's big enough for most times I would say. Decided to see if I could add a breakfast place to the rotation. Flo-Anna's is exactly as advertised. It's a somewhat divey joint along LCW. You seat yourself which I prefer so I can avoid making eye contact with all the townies. But the service was prompt, the food is solid, the restaurant has a relaxing vibe. This place will surprise you. It doesn't look fancy from the outside but the inside is full of some of the best food and customer service you could ask for. VERY high quality spec in meats and they even have phone chargers at the bar. I got two poached eggs, bacon, sausage and hash browns. It was Devine and I didn't have to eat the rest of the day. It's good but not exceptional. Nice ambiance and friendly and courteous service. Prices are not cheap and they add a 4% convenience fee to credit cards, which kind of annoyed me a bit. Loved the country fried steak with sausage gravy. It's as good as any Southern Cracker Barrel. Service is fast and friendly, and parking plentiful in the back lot. Weekend peak waits are long for groups, but for couples and singles, the counter is usually available. $21.50 for a plate is really high. But first, coffee and breakfast. I ordered the breakfast sandwich, which consists of a croissant, egg, lettuce, tomato, mayo and I added bacon for an extra charge. It was solid, with the roasted/warmed up croissant and was filling. I also liked that they had Victrola coffee, which I ordered a drip of. Strong coffee = no complaints. In addition to their made-to-order food items, like the breakfast sandwich, they also have pastries in the case and a full coffee and tea menu. It's nice to have this cafe in the Lake Forest shopping center with plenty of seats around, next to many other businesses and tons of parking nearby. I dig the convenience of it all.

My brother, who also lives and works in the area, tells me constantly how awful the customer service is there when you order food- to the point where he refuses to go. I'm celiac and can't eat anything over there so I hadn't ever experienced what I did today. Today we're at the bookstore together and I decided we need to make a coffee stop. My brother, Loren, orders a sandwich. He says he needs it to go. Person at the register is pleasant enough. I order a coffee separately and am quickly served. We wait a bit for the sandwich, and we finally go up to the counter after maybe ten minutes and see the same sandwich he ordered sitting in a basket. It has a ticket on it that says "Owen." Easy mistake, really. He says, "Is this maybe Loren's?" And the person behind the counter immediately snaps "it says Owen." Okay. So we wait a few more minutes. We're now 15 minutes out and several people who ordered after us are served. He steps up and say "hey, I ordered a BLTA on sourdough for Loren, I think it may have been put in under Owen, but-" and before he can finish his thought they snap back at him again "it's probably yours because this one hasn't been picked up." At this point he's like, "okay, I ordered mine to go- could I-" and the girl behind the counter slams a box on the counter and says "here's a box." And turns away. I'm annoyed, because while I understand we have inconvenienced you, who is standing here chatting with an off-duty coworker for 30 minutes, we literally did nothing to deserve the attitude. Loren scoops the sandwich out of the basket and puts it into the box and this girl has the nerve to turn around and say "dirty dishes go behind you at the service bar." Oh, so now we have to bus YOUR hand-off bar, too? No sorry, no thank you, not even the offer to box up his food or put away the freaking basket. Is it because Loren is very clearly not white? Or is it because this lady today had a bad day and took it out on someone for interrupting her mid-shift gossip about how the mall security is full of idiots who don't do their job? Go ahead and take a gamble and let me know, because I won't be back.
