I've eaten here in person, and enjoyed my food. However, I ordered Uber Eats, and it was awful. I got the Santa Fe scramble. The eggs were overcooked, there was no flavor, random chunks of unseasoned chicken through out, big pieces of al dente vegetables, and a ridiculous amount of flavorless black beans thrown on top. The French toast was okay, but some pieces were dry. The bacon was perfect. Really regret spending $50 on this meal. read more

I needed a greasy spoon breakfast. The aesthetic was on point for "old diner" and I was optimistic. Friendly waitstaff, timely service, the coffee was okay. The food, though. Bacon was very thick cut, not necessarily ideal for a flat grill type situation (IMO, YMMV). Eggs were fine. French toast was pretty bad; I didn't finish it. We received some gross sausage scramble with flavorless and slimy mushrooms and potatoes. My girlfriend who ordered this one does not eat pork. What if we had allergies considering this was an entirely different dish? We ordered takeout so there was not a chance for us to go back to them about it. Nice little eatery. Has a quaint diner vibe. Breakfast was delicious. Ordered the chicken fried steak. Huge portion. And lots of gravy. The O'Brien potatoes were delicious. Seasoned red potatoes with peppers and onions. Not bad not bad. And some scrambled eggs, nothing to write home about. And then I wanted to try the corned beef hash eggs Benedict. Never had so it was pretty good, and the fresh fruit was delicious. Service was great. Kept stopping by my table and making sure my coffee was always full. This Mountlake Terrace location has a skylight, filling the space with natural light. The decor is modern grandma, and so is the clientele. My husband and I were the only people there under the age of 70. They are open daily for breakfast and lunch. Our waitress, Chris, was lovely. Charismatic, friendly, and perfectly attentive. We were served coffee instantly, and our food was ready in under 10 minutes, despite them being quite busy. The Elvis French Toast was decadent, and everything I hoped it would be: panko-breaded, stuffed with creamy peanut butter, topped with fresh Devonshire cream, and sliced banana. Doused in maple syrup, every bite was a treat. Their Buttermilk Pancakes were fantastic as well; fluffy, buttery, melt in your mouth perfection. My husband ate the bacon that came with my French toast, and remarked that it was very good. He got the Bavarian Breakfast, a hearty combo plate with eggs, hash browns, meat, etc. Portions were generous for the price. Our family could not eat the "Latin" food, it was wholly burnt. Also they added straight tabasco as "sauce" over the eggs which made it unpalatable. Our family has been there a bunch and they have done a better job so it might just be the current cook. read more

I want to preface by saying I don't usually like places that serve breakfast food. I was invited here to have breakfast with some friends and found myself feeling the same way I feel at a Denny's. The service was nice (not great), but the food left a lot to be desired, being bland and uninspiring. I am in no way saying this is the same quality as a Denny's, as I feel like the food is likely better. It's just that my food was undercooked and my gravy was cold. The restaurant was set up to look nice and welcoming, so I'll give them that. However, I think the dust in the lobby should be addressed. Finally decided to try this place and it gets a good thumbs up. Upon my arrival, I was seated immediately was given water and then after asking for a coffee, it came almost instantaneously. It was wonderful to see a senior menu. Being older I no longer can eat those large platters that come in restaurants like this ...even though I very much like to try. In this case, I ordered the Eggs Benedict and it gets solid marks. The egg was cooked perfectly. English muffin was not soggy. The only down would be the hash browns ...could've been crispy on one side, but that is really nitpicking. The one complaint I have was the coffee. Not like another poster, I knew that the coffee was not included in the price of the meal. That was not an issue. However, $4.25 per a coffee seemed excessive. Obviously if you're going to sit there for a while and have a cup after cup after cup, the price would not be as big of an issue. However, for those who simply want a cup of coffee with their meal, the $4.25 price tag did seem excessive. Service was excellent. Very attentive. Other than that coffee price, I have nothing to complain about. read more

Ordered the Mini Scramble Eggs with ham were fluffy and delicious - best I've had at a restaurant. Hash-browns might have been a one-off but the oil used to cook them was slightly rancid tasting. Texture: dry and like a flattened plastic fish n chips basket. Choked it down because I was hungry. We have mixed feelings about this place. Other locations have been long established than this new location, and you can tell. Over the years the food between most to all locations has not been the same since I've worked there; it's not consistently great. We had high hopes this location would be different. This specific location has an interesting management strategy, like closed patios (even during the Summer), understaffed on holidays with same sized sections and the manager is very defensive about it; verbally and openly believes that people should not come without expecting a negatively impacted experience "should just stay home". About half of the staff speaks very little English. They are learning and polite about it but you can tell the overall team dynamic between them and the rest of the team is obviously off. read more

Great cafe/diner in Mountlake Terrace. Service is very good (sometimes it takes a few minutes before a server visits, but once they do, the service is great!). Food is wonderful, delicious, and ridiculously wonderfully large portions. Most people leave with leftovers. Not me. Haha. I love a good breakfast diner/cafe and this is the best in Lynnwood/MLT. I give it three stars as an average of our overall experience. When they're on...boy howdy...they're on. And when they're not, well... We've had some of the best breakfasts there, and one of the best lunches, as well (referring specifically to the Northgate restaurant). Truly delicious food. I had the best biscuits and gravy I've ever had anywhere. And the burgers my wife and I had for lunch were fantastic. But the last two times we've gone in for breakfast, the food was all cold. Not lukewarm...cold. The first time, I asked if it could be heated up somehow, and I think they actually gave me a whole new plate (I hate to waste food). The second time (just last week), I asked if they could please heat it up, so they zapped it with a microwave (I'm assuming), and while it was now hot, it was also super mushy. I hate to be the kind of person who orders food, and adds, "Oh, and could we please have it served hot?" That sort of seems like it should be a given. But if you don't ask for it...I guess it's a bit of a crapshoot. It's gotten to be one of those places where we ask, before deciding to go, "Should we give it another try?" And the last time we asked that, we said, "Nah." The place has a nice vibe, and the food is served pretty quickly--which only added to the confusion of how it could possibly already be cold.
