I visited the spa yesterday for my birthday with my sister and cousin. The lady who booked our services over the phone was wonderful and provided a smooth experience. The check in process when we arrived was great and we felt very welcomed. We scheduled the jet boots prior to our massages and were escorted to a sitting area near the fireplace. While there we were chatting amongst each other and discussing how excited we were. An older lady who worked there made us a bit uncomfortable and kept walking passed us giving us dirty looks, did not offer a greeting even when we tried to be friendly and she just continued to pass by us numerous time giving us dirty looks and she even complained to front desk staff and asked them to come upstairs to tell us to be quiet. She refused to speak to use or acknowledge us and she is staff there. That was a weird moment but again the front desk staff was really apologetic and offered the jets boots as a complimented services due to the incident. We received massages from Daniel, Jessica and Tanya and nothing but high praises!! I would recommend Float although one staff could have possible ruined our experience, everyone else made up for it! read more

The massage was relaxing with Alvaro and just the right pressure.I chose the deep massage with lavender oil.Also added Arnica to help with achy back.Reese the reception was warm friendly and professional. Definitely not worth the price that you pay! I wish I could give them more stars however it felt like a really basic massage. It cost $200 for a 75 minutes massage that felt like I was just getting lotion lathered on me. I asked the therapist to apply more pressure and she applied pressure for about two minutes and then went back to a really really light massage. I definitely think that they need more experienced masseuse's there. Additionally, the ambiance isn't that great. It's a lot smaller than expected! The website makes the location look so luxurious! However, when I went into the back area where the pool was there is leaves everywhere and there was already a session in the back; therefore it wasn't like you were in private and were able to relax fully. I was hoping for a bath rob, lounging in the pool patio area in the back, but it felt like you just checked in and they give you a massage and then they say "bye". I would not come here for the price point. There are so many better massage places you can go for a better price and a better massage. read more

I am currently pregnant and went into Float Luxury Spa for a 75 min massage (mellow mamma massage). It was absolutely wonderful. Normally I don't do very well with massages because I am a very ticklish person so it's hard for me to relax, however the masseuse did a wonderful job! Best massage of my life so far. My husband also got a 75 min "Deep tissue" massage at the same time as me and he mentioned that it felt great. Afterwards we had a very pleasant 50 min facial (the works facial). Overall, I liked how we were treated kindly and were made to feel at home when we arrived. We were provided with a robe & sandals and tea/cucumber water. I didn't really walk around the premises, the inside of the building is small, however everything looked really clean, organized and had an overall "relaxed/pampering" vibe. I don't think I could go as often as I'd want to as the prices are expensive, but I definitely think its something nice to spend on yourself every now and then to feel pampered and relaxed. I hope to come again and definitely recommend others to go! read more

Unsure why there's an option to book yourself online (last minute, week day- 10am) through Mindbody and provide payment info to lock it in when you in fact are not officially confirmed. There shouldn't even be the option. Last night, desperately I booked for an early appointment massage. (Prenatal!) I got a message a hour before my appointment stating it wasn't confirmed "without verbal confirmation from you"and that they did "have to give the therapist an hour notice as we are cutting it close here." Again, really shouldn't be an option online if they can't accommodate or make sure their staff is on call/checking to see if someone booked these appointments. I called back 5 minutes after I got the voicemail and got theirs in return- no call back. Called 4x- finally got the front desk on the line (30 mins before my appointment) She said there should have been a disclaimer when booking that it's not a confirmation. Not a "I'm sorry you just came to SB for this" Disappointed! read more

I had a terrible experience with this spa. I called in to have a facial booked. They gave me a time and a day I wrote it down. No confirmation email. Then I came that day at that time and they told me it was the day prior that my appointment was, I argued that they gave me a different day. They said they had called me the day prior - I showed them I had no missed calls. They charged me for the full service even though I never received it, so they charged me for their mistake! I think that's bad service, especially cause they didn't offer me a different day and I had to pay full price for their mistake. I will not be coming back here. read more

I was referred to Float by a friend who said it was the only place she goes for a massage. Drive in from Carp, I really appreciated the email with instructions on where to park and to give yourself plenty of time because I factored that in and wasn't pressed for time. The service at the front desk was great- professional and friendly. Then, the massage! Hands down, the best massage I've ever received. The lotions used, the weighted blanket, the pressure was perfect. Crystal was absolutely incredible! As I was leaving, I booked a massage for my husband for a couple of days later and he was just as happy as I was. Great experience, so glad I can go back for my massages here. read more

Very nice spa! Spa was clean and they had a nice area to relax with a fireplace. Kudos going out to my masseuse, Daniel. He was fabulous. I went in for an 80 minute Deep Tissue massage. And I came out so relaxed and tension free. We went in for a Girlfriend weekend treat and we felt pampered. The front desk gals were so friendly and welcoming. They also have some cute purchases, skin products, bags, books, etc. in the front reception area to look through. The only reason for the four stars is that we had outdoor cabana massages. It would have been nice to undress, get in a robe and then go outside to the cabana. Instead, I found myself undressing outside. Not terribly bad but I am klutzy and had a fear of falling. read more

We booked 75 min Swedish massages for 3 at 11am and arrived early so we could change into robes and hang out in the upstairs fireplace lounge before our sessions. Lily was my massage therapist and I told her my problem areas were my lower back. She was absolutely wonderful and I felt so relaxed and loose after! I visit a lot of spa's. So maybe I am spoiled having seen some great places over the years and had incredible treatments. Float, however, was not impressive and I will not be returning. Don't get me wrong, it was fine, they ran on time, the treatments were ok, but it was just not comparable, except on the price point. They charged prices of a luxury spa, but it was not luxury. It was my birthday and I had three treatments back to back. My first practitioner was nice, but rushing a bit in my body scrub. it was like she just had three cups of coffee. Then I asked for firm pressure in my massage and she ended it telling me I should have booked deep tissue. She basically was just rubbing in lotion/oil the whole time, not a lot of actual massaging going on. I did enjoy the facial, no complaints there. It was just the place and the offerings as a whole, it was crowded and the "locker room" which is just the bathroom with one stall, one shower, and a bench, was kinda dirty. The treatment waiting was nice but again, room was crowed each time I went in. Having to go by the front door to get downstairs to the ladies was also weird and outside patio was strange, unkept, and not private. Anyway- they are fine and trying, but you can fine better for that price. read more

Hadda great massage at Float. My wife and I booked a massage for our anniversary week in Santa Barbara and we both thoroughly enjoyed our morning there. The place is quiet clean the staff is very professional and it's a very relaxing atmosphere that can't be topped. We each had a 50 min session and enjoyed errrrry minute. We went here for a couples massage and my partner and I agreed it was nowhere worth the $400 for the 120 min massage. We got deep tissue massages but it felt like we had two amateur masseusses rubbing their knuckles against our bodies the entire time. I'm used to masseuses massaging out knots and really being in tune with my body and how to heal it. My fiancée and I both walked away neither feeling healed or more relaxed. Waste of money and time.
