Highly recommend a 75min massage with Fatima at the new Beachfront Hilton location. Her warmth and attention to my tight shoulders put me to sleep. And just when I think we're coming to the end, she flips me over for another round of relaxation as all my stress melted away. This is a small yet clean and quiet location with a beautiful sun filled patio. No steam or sauna facilities, so the prices are much more reasonable compared to other hotel spas in the area. This review is for the Waterfront location. We have been to the downtown Santa Barbara location but felt like there wasn't ample space to relax before and after and the locker room is cramped. We were excited to try the new location at the Hilton, imagining a larger space. The outside area to relax before/after is a small patio. Only two chairs are under an umbrella, so if the sun is out, the majority is in direct sun. There was a water feature at one time, which would have been much nicer than the succulents planted there. It might have distracted us from the sound of suitcases being wheeled over tiles. There was also a protest going on but can't fault the space for that. Just didn't set the mood. There isn't really an indoor area to relax in, or it wasn't shown to us. But I wonder where you go when it's raining or cold. The massage was lovely, albeit punctuated by the rattling of a metal grate for 75 minutes. The locker room was perhaps smaller than downtown. There was one shower stall and while there was shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, there was no lotion or a hair dryer for after. I left the locker room with parched skin and wet hair, not necessarily ready for the rest of my day's activities. If that was mentioned beforehand I would've brought my own items, although I didn't notice an outlet I could've used. All in all it was nice, but definitely not what I expected. I wonder if the Mandalay Bay location is more what I'm looking for. read more

When you walk in, you're greeted by very kind people at the front desk, offered a robe and slippers, then directed to the locker room. The massages were mediocre, one staff member in particular was VERY rude, and the locker room had a giant wad of hair in the shower (we were the first appt of the day- the shower hadn't been used yet). I was hesitant to go with Edyta after Susan had done such a wonderful job on my neck last summer, but Edyta really knows her anatomy and how the body works! She did wonders with my knees and hips due to a low back injury and listened to me blab about my life like a good friend. I didn't want it to be over. I'm amazed what a trained massage therapist can do to help people with chronic pain. If only it were less expensive and closer to home. Both therapists I've had at this spa were knowledgeable, helpful, and effective. It's expensive, but if you can treat yourself I'd highly recommend Edyta or Susan and the Euphoria massage. I visited the spa yesterday for my birthday with my sister and cousin. The lady who booked our services over the phone was wonderful and provided a smooth experience. The check in process when we arrived was great and we felt very welcomed. We scheduled the jet boots prior to our massages and were escorted to a sitting area near the fireplace. While there we were chatting amongst each other and discussing how excited we were. An older lady who worked there made us a bit uncomfortable and kept walking passed us giving us dirty looks, did not offer a greeting even when we tried to be friendly and she just continued to pass by us numerous time giving us dirty looks and she even complained to front desk staff and asked them to come upstairs to tell us to be quiet. She refused to speak to use or acknowledge us and she is staff there. That was a weird moment but again the front desk staff was really apologetic and offered the jets boots as a complimented services due to the incident. We received massages from Daniel, Jessica and Tanya and nothing but high praises!! I would recommend Float although one staff could have possible ruined our experience, everyone else made up for it! read more

From the moment we walked in we felt very welcomed at Float. There is a great sense of calm in the Spa. The front desk knew who we were and happily guilted us back to the locker room where we could get comfy in lovely robes as was told we could choose inside by the fire side or outside by the garden pond. I have had an extremely stressful 4 months and had high hopes of some distressing , mostly I needed to give back to my body some TLC big time. Jenneil was so warm & friendly . I was referred to Float by a friend who said it was the only place she goes for a massage. Drive in from Carp, I really appreciated the email with instructions on where to park and to give yourself plenty of time because I factored that in and wasn't pressed for time. The service at the front desk was great- professional and friendly. Then, the massage! Hands down, the best massage I've ever received. The lotions used, the weighted blanket, the pressure was perfect. Crystal was absolutely incredible! As I was leaving, I booked a massage for my husband for a couple of days later and he was just as happy as I was. Great experience, so glad I can go back for my massages here. read more

Unsure why there's an option to book yourself online (last minute, week day- 10am) through Mindbody and provide payment info to lock it in when you in fact are not officially confirmed. There shouldn't even be the option. Last night, desperately I booked for an early appointment massage. (Prenatal!) I got a message a hour before my appointment stating it wasn't confirmed "without verbal confirmation from you"and that they did "have to give the therapist an hour notice as we are cutting it close here." Again, really shouldn't be an option online if they can't accommodate or make sure their staff is on call/checking to see if someone booked these appointments. I called back 5 minutes after I got the voicemail and got theirs in return- no call back. Called 4x- finally got the front desk on the line (30 mins before my appointment) She said there should have been a disclaimer when booking that it's not a confirmation. Definitely not worth the price that you pay! I wish I could give them more stars however it felt like a really basic massage. It cost $200 for a 75 minutes massage that felt like I was just getting lotion lathered on me. I asked the therapist to apply more pressure and she applied pressure for about two minutes and then went back to a really really light massage. I definitely think that they need more experienced masseuse's there. Additionally, the ambiance isn't that great. It's a lot smaller than expected! The website makes the location look so luxurious! However, when I went into the back area where the pool was there is leaves everywhere and there was already a session in the back; therefore it wasn't like you were in private and were able to relax fully. I was hoping for a bath rob, lounging in the pool patio area in the back, but it felt like you just checked in and they give you a massage and then they say "bye". I would not come here for the price point. There are so many better massage places you can go for a better price and a better massage. read more

I am currently pregnant and went into Float Luxury Spa for a 75 min massage (mellow mamma massage). It was absolutely wonderful. Normally I don't do very well with massages because I am a very ticklish person so it's hard for me to relax, however the masseuse did a wonderful job! Best massage of my life so far. My husband also got a 75 min "Deep tissue" massage at the same time as me and he mentioned that it felt great. Afterwards we had a very pleasant 50 min facial (the works facial). Overall, I liked how we were treated kindly and were made to feel at home when we arrived. We were provided with a robe & sandals and tea/cucumber water. I didn't really walk around the premises, the inside of the building is small, however everything looked really clean, organized and had an overall "relaxed/pampering" vibe. I don't think I could go as often as I'd want to as the prices are expensive, but I definitely think its something nice to spend on yourself every now and then to feel pampered and relaxed.
