After trying to call for 15 minutes before I came I finally got information about the availability of the tile I needed from a less than pleasant lady. That was after I called back after being stuck on hold. In store was much worse with checkout lines that don't move and sales people that don't care and it showed on every customer's face. Floor and Décor - N.E. Expressway, Atlanta This is just a little report on the very professional manner in which my issue was addressed at this store. Things didn't turn out the way I'd hoped with the product I purchased; unfortunately I'd selected a wrong product and, unfortunately again, I will feel the pinch financially. But the main manager at store is a professional, listened to what happened, and did what he could to help ease the pain. Really, can you ask for more than that!?? This is a good store with a great many products and I will continue on with my 22 years of doing business with them! I really appreciate Mr. Wilkins' interest in my issue/problem! My advice: investigate what you want to do to your house and visit Floor and Décor! Many beautiful products at what I believe is very good pricing - and pretty immediate availability! This place is like floor renovation mecca for those who love renovation (or me, who's forced to partake), stop by the designer outlet showroom first- it's set up nicely in sections of tile type. You can then go across the parking lot into the outlet warehouse There's all types of materials to choose from- hardwood, natural stone or any type of tile you can think of. I went to several stores before coming here...this place probably has 10x the amount of materials in stock. They are set up warehouse style- but also have little show areas above and at the end of aisles so you can see examples of the finished product. There's also all the tools, chemicals, grouting, glue and whatever else you could possibly need to install or maintain the items you end up buying from this place. You can buy a single tile as a sample- just make sure you get a staff associate to mark the back with the item code & price...I made the mistake of bypassing and got to the register, only to be turned around to find the item codes. Tiles here range from very inexpensive to expensive, depending on the material...I found it to be much less than the fancy tile stores and more in line (or less) than Home Depot, but more convenient since they carry alot of stock (where in Home Depot or Lowe's, you probably need to order the tile). I came back on my next visit once I decided which tile to buy- it was for a relatively small job so I only needed a few boxes of tile. While heavy, I could have easily gotten it myself. However, I was made to go through their long drawn out formal process: staffer loads onto a pallet and writes me a receipt to take to the register to pay, I pay and drive around to the loading dock, show my receipt, wait forever (15-20 min) where I'm the only person late on a weeknight while the loading dock staff goes to find a manager to sign a green slip of paper to release the tiles to me. How convoluted...definitely insist on getting the tiles yourself, unless you're buying a pallet full. I wouldn't have put up with this if I wasn't getting such a good deal on the tile. The tile itself is very pretty...I'm looking forward to getting it installed! read more

6/7/2015 I stopped by yesterday and was told that walk-ins were welcome in the design center. I get there today and they tell me something different. However, the ONE designer there is not busy so they write my name down for service. Some lady (who had been there the day before and did not receive service) came in complaining and started crying. I was offered the services of the receptionist. I drove 45 miles on Saturday and Sunday. They were under-staffed both days. Poor customer service and obviously no management available to make better decisions. I can take my money and spend it elsewhere. read more

Had a great experience at F&D with one of their roving designers, Denise. I was on my fourth lap around the store when she stopped me and asked if she could help with my project. Yes!! Denise worked through my ideas and my budget, steered me to a few options, and embraced my project like it was her own. She even she let me rest my tired feet while she bustled around the store collecting the supplies I would need! Moving their designers into the main store was a smart decision by the management. I've wandered around F&D a thousand times - it's convenient, budget-friendly, and they always have a great selection - but this was a first. I was here with my parents. Obviously if you aren't building a new house or renovating, this is going to be boring. The gentleman that helped us was named Bill and he was amazing. Patient and full of knowledge. My folks had some indecisive moments, and this guy didn't act annoyed or in a hurry. A true sales man that actually enjoyed the job. Got my hardwood from them and I was very disapointed, they have a very big sample board witch was matching my existing hardwood, so I did buy it and have my contract here to install and the product was totally different , I call them and send some picture and they said was nothing wrong because wood has variations , I understand about variation but that was totally different and I try to exchange for another product but they pushed me away. I will be very careful if you buy from them, they will do anything to make you buy, after that, if you need any assistance " fuck yourself", I lost money having my contractor to pickup and return that product. read more

I had never been to a Floor & Decor and was excited to go there and get some tile for a house that I'm renovating. I went into their large warehouse and found it very frustrating. Even though they have a lot of inventory, there are few people there to help you with the types of tiles you need to complete a full job; like bull nose and border tiles. And when you find a tile you like, you find out that they don't carry and can not order any of those types of variations in order to tile a bathroom or shower successfully. It's not just about the flat tile when it comes to walls. I went there with my Designer and we struggled for about 2 hours and decided to leave without successfully finding what we needed. (We won't be back.) We went to The Tile Shop and boy are we glad we did. The prices are great there (they'll match Floor & Decor), and even though they don't have as much inventory, we liked what they had better than Floor & Decor. AND you get a very knowledgeable sales person who stays with you throughout the entire process to answer all your questions, write up lists of your selections, give you quotes, and make sure you find what you need. And we in fact found everything we needed there, including all the colored grout, edge tiles, and more. read more

Great pricing and good product selection, but don't waste your time with one of their "consultants." While I give them credit for trying to provide a unique service, especially for something that few of us have experience coordinating, I have now had two poor experiences -- the most recent was so piss poor I felt obligated to write a review on yelp. And without going into detail, be warned: it takes forever to get someone's attention and the level of professional insight varies among the staff, not to mention their interest in actually helping you rather than just telling you "yes, that looks nice, ready to make a purchase now?" Do yourself a favor: go in and pick out what you like, write down what it is maybe even buy the sample, and sleep on it. I would like to take the opportunity to share my excellent customer experience with Claudette on October 18, 2018. As I walked in the store I was aghast at the size of the warehouse not knowing what to expect. I looked around in confusion and Claudette noticed this from behind her cashier. She immediately stopped what she was doing and led my to the glitter grout. We discussed the options of colors and price and as I was still confused and indecisive, she escorted me to the door to go over to the Design Center with a palette of regular grout colors to help me decide with the designers. When I came back she was obviously keeping an eye out for me because I asked where the regular grout was and she headed me in the right direction as I had decided to go with regular grout. Then to top it all off, I was standing in line behind another gentleman and immediately when she had completed her transaction, she heralded me over to her cashier so I wouldn't have to wait. All of this with a pleasant smile and positive, helpful attitude. I am in the customer service industry and know excellence when I encounter it which is rare in these times, but Claudette could teach a course in the topic. Thanks, Claudette! Northeast Expressway is the worst! It appears that all the employees want a paycheck but don't want a job. Cashier was one of the rudest person I've ever spoke with and refused to ring me up, because she was too busy talking to another employee about what they were going to do after work, and then told me there were plenty of other cashiers open, unbelievable! read more

Our salesman was very helpful. After selecting our flooring from a display carousel, we showed him our floor plan with dimensions. There was no product on the floor so he checked the warehouse and said they didn't have the flooring and it would need to be ordered. We had no information as to how much material was in a case. We paid for the flooring and waited two weeks for it to arrive. We picked up the flooring and brought it home. When our flooring contractor arrived, he discovered that we had purchased Three times the amount needed. This was based upon the salesman's calculations. We purchased the amount the salesman said was needed for our project, but Floor and Decor has steadfastly refused to issue a refund, stating that the material was special order. Their best offer is for a one year store credit. I have no need for any other products they offer so I am out nearly $2000. read more

I went to this location (N E Expressway Atlanta) on yesterday and couldn't get anyone to assist me. Stayed in store for over an hour. As a matter of fact another customer told me that if I needed assistance good luck because she had been trying to get help for the past 45 min to an hour. I did notice an employee standing around chatting with a personal friend or employee but never ask me if I needed help. Floor and Décor, customer service should begin once a customer walk through those doors. Customers shouldn't have to hunt someone down to assist them. Will try another store; if no improvement there's always Home Depot and Lowes who will be more than willing to assist. read more

II purchased special order 32 cases laminate. Sakes staff great. Once order placed...things went bad. Treated like a piece of Sxxx. The staff at pick up counter was never there. Once they came....said "busy- you will have to wait". Not one pick up...3 separate times...always the sane. Once they have your money-order...your nothing to them. GO TO HOME DEPOT OR ANYWHERE ELSE. If I could have returned the floor due to service ...I would have. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER PURCHASE. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. DO NOT ORDER HERE....you will REGRET IT. We have been going to Floor & Decor for years but on Sat had our best experience because of a young man named Carlos. Just a little background we had picked out tile for our bathroom but once it was painted knew it was all wrong. Hubby upset that I wanted to go back & look for something else. We walked in & Carlos walked over & changed the day. He looked at my paint sample & helped us select the perfect tile. He was energetic, funny, spoke to everyone he met & in general a breath of fresh air. He made what started as a bad day into a really good one. I went back in this afternoon to make the return and I was absolutely blown away by their positive level of customer service. Cecil one of their managers generously gave me a credit back due to the inconvenience, he did this without me even asking for it. I am now I have your customer than ever before. I came in your store over the weekend, my husband and I, upon checking out one of your cashier approached me and said I'm going to sue you and started laughing so I said excuse me so she proceed to say it again and started laughing but I didn't think it was a laughing and joking matter at the time. The lady name was ms.joyce, I asked why would you say that and she said because you were trying to run me over with the cart. That was very rude and disrespectful I don't take as a joke and secondly it's very nasty to talk to someone with food in your month. Have had a great experience. I was given some great information about tile and grout that helped me narrow down what I wanted pretty quickly. Also Shaun Drinkler did a great job in finding "lost" grout I ordered. I ordered 5 of the 6 available of a specific color and when my contractor went to pick it up they said they didn't have it. I contacted them, and Shaun jumped through a bunch of hoops and systems to find my grout :) I do appreciate an employee who truly trys to amend something that went amiss. read more

Expect inferior service from this discount store. We just bought a good amount of flooring from here and paid to have it delivered to the property where it was going in. When the truck arrived they told us that they only delivered curb side. When I called the store to get them to correct the mistake they told me that I must have missed the fine print and that they only deliver curb side. That seems like something that should come out of the fine print and into the open. That would be like Best Buy delivering a washer and dryer curb side (which just gave me free delivery to an upstairs laundry room and free installation). Coincidentally, I am having a bathroom redone in my house by a different company who didn't charge delivery and sent two men to spend about an hour carrying the tile upstairs to right outside the bathroom door. read more

This is one of the worst business I've encountered in recent years. The tile is nice and the selection is decent, but the staff is clueless, bad mannered, condescending, and generally unhelpful. When I came to the store to ask about tile, the store manager, more than once, walked away while I was in mid-question. I spoke to one of the other employees about her bad attitude and she told me that the manager was spacey and this was just her way. After ordering tile, when I went to the store to pick it up, the employee I worked with said she'd have to go to another building to place the oder and didn't come back for 20 minutes. Finally when she came back into the store and walked by me without saying anything I stopped her and asked about the order and she told me I'd have to go to the other building and said, "Oh yeah, somebody should have told you that." When I went to the building to pick up the tile there was nobody there to help, I had to ask another customer who I should talk to about picking up the tile, and it took another 40 minutes for them to find my order and the tile. When I ordered the tile I had to provide my address. I told the staff that I did not want to receive ads from them and they promised that I wouldn't. Well, of course, I did. I called the number on the mail itself, that had my name and address on it, and told them I wanted my name removed. I talked to 3 people, on hold each time, and the store manager told me that they don't send mail. Of course, they did, and I had it in my hand and I told her that I had received it and wanted my name removed. She told me that it was the other part of the store that sent it. I asked her to connect me to the person who could take my address off the list and she proceeded to lecture me about who keeps addresses and said that she was "educating me" about the process. I told her that I didn't care about their company organization but only wanted to get my name off the mailing list. What a waste of time! After connecting me to the 4th person, I finally got to someone who could take my name off the mailing list. She asked for my name, which I gave her, and as I was about to give my address she stopped me and said she didn't need it. I asked her to take it, find the address and take me off the list while I waited. She reluctantly agreed but said I wasn't on the list-- yet I had received the junk mail!! I told her that I had to be on the list because I received the junk mail and asked her to look again. Finally she did and said she found it, then told me that she removed my name from the list. The store manager is one of the worst examples of what a sales employee should be. She was a smart alec, disrespectful, and incompetent. The employee whose job was to handle the mail lists was just as incompetent. They lied to me about what they'd do with my address then tried to cover it up. It doesn't matter to me if they have the only tile in the world that I might want, I will never purchase from this store again or go back to the location on NE Expressway. I agree with others on yelp that this place is the worst ever. Save yourself a bad day or few and don't shop at Floor and Decor on NE Expressway-- read more

Customer service folks try hard, but because of terribly dysfunctional inventory system service is really, really horrible! I ordered tile on Saturday, called Monday at 9am...they said it would be ready at 2. I called at 2:30 and they said it was ready. When I got there at 3, the order still wasn't ready. I mentioned this to a supervisor who said "don't worry, they'll find it"and walked away. It appeared an hour later. read more

Poor customer service.would not exchange or return discontinued product for something else so we could at least finish our flooring project.

Let's start with the good: 1) Orlandus Fagan is an exceptional employee who takes customer service seriously. Throughout my terrible experience with the store, he was honest, apologetic, escalated my problem to managers, followed up timely and made sure I was satisfied with the end result. 2) Large selection of flooring with good prices. The bad: 1) I was escorted around the store by a pleasant employee who scanned the wrong serial numbers to items causing my special order floors to be the wrong product. (Special orders take 2 weeks to be delivered). 2) She was given room dimensions for all flooring needed and managed to overestimate every product by several boxes. Lesson learned - calculate your own product needs if you dont want to have to spend extra money and return several boxes of supplies. 3) Cashiers may or may not know what they are doing. They are often rude to each other and are not very helpful when issues arise. 4) Managers will not call you back if there is a problem. Get everyone's name so you can ask for them specifically and speak to them directly when you return to the store. Overall: Large variety of products with good prices, but prepare yourself for poor customer service and no apologies for mistakes. If you are under a time constraint to complete your project, this is NOT the store for you. read more

I have been purchasing flooring materials from Floor & Decor at this location from the first week they opened. I always find something interesting for my project, after looking around for a while, I can find someone to help load materials onto a cart. The problem I have with this place is the inordinate amount of time I had to wait at the loading dock to pick up items I purchased less than two hours before. I waited 40 minutes. There was only one person who was there prior to me who was waiting...and this was the second time it happened. Next time, i will surely bring my truck with me so I don't (hopefully) need to wait for (better) service. Oh, and beware of boards with nails outside the loading dock. read more
