Run from this place, we started sending our clients to JDP kitchen horrible customer service a few years back. The customer service was bad but prices were ok. They have turned into a complete cluster. Here is just in past 2 months: They brought wrong cabinets to wrong house and scratched them all up, Completely forgot about a customer's order even though they took their money, Just installed counters for a customer and because crew was in a hurry they didn't feel like caulking the counters so they told our 79 year old client just go pick up a tube of caulk its real easy and left her just standing their, They tell people full install but don't fully install or caulk, Just read the other reviews, they don't care about their clients and we gave them over $300,000 last year and they treat us like crap, so how do you think they will treat you? read more

I wouldn't recommend this place. The people were very nice if you could get someone to acknowledge you but the showroom is a joke and the worst was the installation. They say measure twice and cut once but their motto is measure once cut many times and try to make up for it by using shims and rubber filler. It took them 4 visits to get some 40 square feet of granite countertop done in our townhouse. Done, but not done right and there was that rubber filler everywhere. They damaged the wall and the range is installed crooked. Then they forgot the sink that I paid them to dispose of. Shoddy workmanship all around. read more

I can see why they don't have a good rating. My dad and I just popped in to have a kitchen quote done. First impression was that they look like they were moving in or moving out. The place was a wreck with torn apart displays, sold prices on other displays, and poor lighting near the stone wall. Not very shopable. But I wanted to overlook that.... until I realized their customer service was non-existent. Let's backtrack for a sec. After this visit, I now know that JPD is owned by ProCraft Cabinetry. I've delt with their other sub company Rock Counter in the past. So we walk in and nobody is at the large secretaries desk or near the entrance to greet us. They clearly see us walking through the showroom and I see 2 girls standing by another girl at her desk chatting away. I see another older lady in a large office and finally after circling the place twice (constantly looking at the staff waiting for someone to step up), I ask this lady if someone is available to help us. She said "well what do you need help with?"....not very welcoming at all. Not even a hello or a smile. I said a kitchen layout....she said I'd hafta wait for one of the 3 young girls to be available. Finally a young girl in her 20's approaches us and we mention that we already have a basic floor plan and just need to get pricing. She asked if we have been there before and we said no the last place we bought was from Rock Counter (not knowing yet they were affiliated). She asked who we worked with over there, then gives my dad and I a funny look and said she needs to talk to her manager and leaves. Well that just made us feel even more uncomfortable! We looked at each other like wtf! We had no idea why there was an issue by asking for a quote. She comes back, grabs the phone and calls Rock Counter asking for the girl we worked with. She then proceeds to say "hi I have one of your customers in here asking for a quote and I wanted to make sure I can do that and if you care." (meanwhile she is kneeling on the chair spinning in circles like a toddler talking on the phone) I can hear on the other end they said "oh yes no problem at all they can shop around". She hangs up and I said I had no idea that they were affiliated and that it would be a conflict of interest. She said she had to make sure....um okay but you should at least kindly tell us you are affiliated and why you need to go to the manager before you leave a confused customer at your desk. Plus that phone call should have been made in the back office from where you went to. Smh So we see a wood hood on the floor and asked on pricing she then acts as if we were putting her out and she makes a huff noise and stomps away in her high heel boots to ask the manager again. She was not trained at all to act professional or how to handle customers. Plus everyone in that place didn't acknowledge we were even there. We almost walked out, but I already wasted the gas money to drive there. read more

Actually Jpd has been great for my customers and I! The affordable pricing of the cabinets allows some who would be priced out of a kitchen with expensive cabinets to actually get a new kitchen and others who are simply selling their home to update and get value for their investment. The design staff has always bent over backwards to accommodate me especially Beata. Beata is a real asset to this company as she not only provides top notch customer service but has excellent knowledge of all products offered. She also knows a ton about the actual installation of their cabinets (always surprises me). She is a consummate professional and if you are going to use JPD I would strongly recommend working with her. Wendy has also been great worked with her a few times last year and early this year. The wear house takes some getting used to but all policies are literally written all over (damaged cabinets, paint defects, etc... ) if you are careful and diligent about staying with in these policies you will be treated fairly and given what you are owed and actually much faster than other shops as they have a lot of stock on hand (rarely have I ever had to wait for something more than 10 minutes). Notch (sp?) who runs the wear house is a solid guy and a straight shooter. He comes off a little rough but will take care of you! The guy actually cares about the business and I love to see that. They have a ton of production and things get crazy in all these large distributors the thing in the end is not always that the order was wrong or missing something small for me it's more about how the situation is rectified and they have come through every time over the last 3 years. Are they the highest grade cabinets? no but for the price they are plywood construction with soft close doors soft close drawers and unless your going to go top end from a custom shop ($15000 base price and up) they are as good as any mid grade cabinet I have seen and worked with. Anyways longer than expected but I saw all the negative reviews while searching their address for a customer and I just haven't really had a hard time with JPD I'm a fair person with reasonable expectations for the people and vendors I work with. Be on point and thorough and you won't have an issue. read more

I wouldn't recommend going here. From the get go I felt more of an inconvenience as apposed to a customer. To start I scheduled an appointment at 1:30 to get a quote for kitchen cabinets. I arrived on time. When I walked into the building I looked around for a receptionist to let them know I was present. There was no receptionist to be found. After walking around for a minute, I realized there was a receptionist slouched in her chair so I couldn't see her, with her feet up on the desk. She was on her phone and didn't even notice I was standing right in front of her. I stood there for a second to see if she would acknowledge me, and she didn't. I finally said, "Excuse me." To which she rolled her eyes and looked at me and said, "Yeah?" In a rude tone. I told her I was there for an appointment at 1:30. She said, "With who?" I told her I wasn't sure who they scheduled my appointment with. She sighed and yelled to the women next to her (who was currently taking care of a couple) asking her if she had a 1:30 appointment. That women said yes. She told me to go look around and to give her 10-15 minutes to finish up with her current clients. (Mind you it was 1:30 at this time) I looked around to kill time and finally took a seat in the waiting area. About 15 minutes later the women shouted to me, "I'm ready!" The receptionist behind the desk yelled back at her, "Ready for what?'" As I awkwardly walked toward the woman's desk. Long story short, she said she couldn't compete with the quote I had already gotten from another company because it was from the same parent company or something like that. I was referred here by a friend, but sorry to say I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Sorry the whole experience was a pain Gosia got good pricing, but the order was screwed up twice for me. Now less then a year later because they put the cabinets together and stripped one of the hinges the corner swinging out cabinet now falls off. It comes with a one year warranty, however JPD refuses to come out and install the new cabinet door, that they stripped when they put the cabinets together. The company expects me to pull it apart, drive to Hillside, and reinstall the hinge and cabinet door. Talk about lacking customer service. They really wash their hands of the "one year warranty". read more

I am a contractor who had used them several times but never again. The price was ok and the service although poor was acceptable. It wasn't until they screwed up an order on a time sensitive project and refused to take responsibility that I had a big issue with them. The saleswoman, (tall Polish woman,) was extremely rude to me and my client. They tried to screw me out of thousands of dollars for what was clearly their mistake. I would strongly dissuade anyone from ever using them and if they do pray there is no issue. read more

We would not recommend JPD Kitchen Depot. They are not suitably staffed, extremely overworked, and thus not timely or thorough. Designers are qualified, but have too many projects on their plate to provide complete customer service and care. Their showroom is not really a showroom and lacks room displays or setups. So, if you are a visual person and need to see things laid out, this is not the showroom for you. They do, however, have numerous products to choose from -- but beware as not all items are in stock or available. You need to ask first, but you may not get an immediate reply due to shortage of staff. Plus, even though you may decide on a product and it is in stock, they are not thorough and are delayed in getting you the price and product you selected. This means you may need to visit their showroom numerous times in order to pick out your product. Working with JPD was not an effective use of time and the quality of their cabinetry is low- to medium grade. Based on lack of staffing, poor time management, availability of product, quality of cabinetry, poor communication, JPD Kitchen Depot is rated with 1 star. read more

Not even installed yet, I was told upon arrival of crew there is an additional $200 charge to remove old counter. Estimator came out prior week to look at job and never mentioned this. Had I been informed would've removed myself. Every other price I've received for any project included complete price. Being in construction myself when I give quotes it is from start to finish with no hidden costs at time of job. read more

JPD Kithchen Depot is reliable company which we work with for few years. They have nice stylish cabinet designs. Contractor prices are very good and very competitive with big stores. But sometimes they have delay for products do to supply shortages overseas. Good company to work with! read more

Worst place ever , poor customer service, once you make the order and pay them they don't care what happens , delivered my kitchen incomplete i ordered kitchen June 2014.Installed had to go back and forth to replace incorrectly stocked cabinets still waiting for some hardware and for windows for doors, after long wait they finally told me that the design i choose is discontinued. Nobody cares. So if you want to stay without a kitchen for months do business with them , personally i learned my lesson. read more

The cabinets given to me were either damaged, the wrong size and/or faulty. In addition, they were not ready for pickup when promised. The warehouse workers told my contractor that they have overbooked orders and had to rush through creating my cabinets. When asked to resolve the issues with their product, multiple employees of the company, including the president, have ignored my phone calls. I suggested that they pick up the product, repair and install the cabinets to avoid any extra charges to myself or my contractor. They refused this option and expected me to transport the damaged product back to the warehouse and pay my contractor for another day's work. I am looking for a fair resolution that does not require any more money spent on my part. However, it is difficult to resolve an issue when the manager and/or president avoids your phone calls. I have been without a functional kitchen (no sink, dishwasher or microwave) for 9 days. In addition, I have taken 2 days off of work. When I told the company I would be filing a claim they said to go ahead and do so. They also said that they would be contacting me whenever they had the time. I am assuming this means my kitchen will never be put back in order, as their actions have shown that they do not care about the inconvenience of my home being ripped apart. read more
