Recently decided to remodel our bathrooms and purchased the tile from Floor & Decor. Buying was easy, but once payment had been made we received horrible service. First, they did not have a product in stock (contrary to their inventory system and the person that helped us), then I had to spend quite a bit of time calling multiple times to get the issue straightened out. To add insult to injury, they had noted the problem weeks before but never called or notified us, so if I had not called to find out my order status I may not have ever known. Even more painful was the phone process. Sometimes no one answered. When someone did answer, they were sometimes some random person in another department that couldn't answer my question and had to refer me back to someone else, rinse and repeat. F&D gets a well deserved "F" in my book. read more

I researched different flooring and wall tile stores prior to selecting Floor & Decor. The only problem I ran into were the under educated shoppers expecting sales stage to not only educate them on the types of flooring but to expect them to act as free decorators for them. If people do a little due diligence prior to going to these store, life would be so must easier for Everyone... I was very pleased with the the selection although I was told their new store will have twice the selection... WOW I WOULD BE NICE IF THERE WERE MORE CARTS. Of different size depending on the need. Example: small cart for smaller back splash projects or for those single items that are just a pain in the ars to carry. And please if you don't know what you are doing, don't expect others to educate you at the store. LOOK IT UP ON LINE FIRST. The staff is there to assist with helping you locate a product, so do not be that person that expects everyone to do everything for you. It only makes for a bad experience for those that did read more

We've had good experiences with the people at the Orlando Floor and Decor. The store concept is great and the product they carry seems to be a good value. They're great at returns for small items but things fall apart when you have larger quantities. We used their calculator for a 3000 sq ft flooring project and ended up with 33 boxes more than we needed. The project has took longer than anticipated and we missed the 90 day return window by three weeks. We've gotten used to working with companies like Ikea that give 180 days. The product we purchased is still sold in the store and all 33 boxes are unopened - in beautiful shape. The return was denied at the store by an automated algorithm. We were told that we could appeal the decision with their third party retail company - Retail equation. When I called them, I was told there was nothing they could do as they work off the same algorithm. I'm not sure why I had to call them to hear that. They have now sent me back to Floor and Décor and I'm waiting for a formal form to fill out. Bottom line is that there seems to be some good folks working for a good concept, but Floor and Décor as a corporation has separated themselves from actually caring. In a world threatened by big corporations not caring for the right parts of business, I'd rather not support any company like this. Love the store displays. However, finding someone to help is nearly impossible, and when you do, you have to wait in line. If you decide to call rather than wait in line, give yourself a good 10 minutes of the phone ringing before anyone picks up. Finally got to a person to get pricing on a quartz bathroom countertop. She directed me to do it online, but their website isn't clear on ordering or quoting products. She couldn't even help me with this, so I asked her why I can't just talk to someone from the store and she put me on hold for a few more minutes, came back and said their people in that department are in appointments and she asked them to call me back. Not holding my breath waiting for that call.. Frustrating, just to get some help in pricing. They need to hire more people for customer service, or train the ones they have to actually work rather than avoid customers. read more

Trying to get your order is a clutter at this store. They make you wait hours to pick up the stuff that you buy. People in the delivery area has no sense of customer service and they have attitudes. Better plan on not being in a rush even after you spend thousands of dollars. That stand around looking like they are busy. Especially the lady the call V, she got attitude. read more

The Sales associate named Kevin went above and beyond and was very helpful with our questions on what to do for the flooring of our front patio. He helped us to find the perfect grout color for us and I wanted to express our gratitude as you don't see this kind of service often these days. This place sucks! If you find a tile online, then go to checkout. You will find that they want to charge you $700-800 to get the tile in the store near you. Call the customer service number 877-675-0002, you should expect to sit on hold until you give up. You go to the store, 45 minutes away and find they don't have the amount you need. They claim its the cheapest because they cut out the middleman. Its all bait and switch, chances are they wont have what you want. So it's hit or miss! My son and I were at the Colonial store last Sunday buying tiles for a new bathroom. We were so lucky to find Lisa Charles to help us. She actually came to us and offered her help. Usually in a big store like that you need to be chasing people around to help you. She was with us all the way making sure we had everything we need it. She is there only for a month until they open the new location in Fern Park. We are going to miss her and wish there were more people like her. read more

I walked into floor and decor with a vision in mind to redo my bathroom. Turning to the right where the design services were, I thought the could assist. I spoke to a lady who answered very cut and dry the two questions I had. Wasn't impressed with her customer service (wish I had gotten her name). It wasn't until I was back with the marble that I met Stacey. Stacey by far was the best employee that store has. She went beyond helping me and I can't thank her enough! Rarely do I come across an employee where I feel the need at the register to ask for the manager and sing the praises of their staff, but that's exactly how I felt about Stacey!! The sign outside says they're hiring but when you walk in the store there were a ton of ppl in red shirts and only 2 lanes open, both with long lines. Returns had a long line as well. I asked one of the redshirt how do I get some items off of a purchase order. They gave me misinformation and directed me to the back if the store. They didn't specify customer pick up. I asked an associate for assistance because there was no one at pro desk. She looked perturbed that I interrupted her personal conversation and informed me that the desk was closed. I told her why I was there and she said the pick up desk was behind pro desk- not viewable from store set up, no signage. I went back there and was sent back to front of the store to pay. Now I had to pick which long line might be the fastest. I chose Returns. When a redshirt offered to assist someone in return line at a new register, I hoped right behind them. When it was my turn, she initially tried to redirect me to back of store. I told her I'd already been back there and wanted to pay. She pulled up my order and I told her which items I wanted to pick up. She said she would get them from shelves. While I was being assisted, another customer equally annoyed by long lines, asked if she was open for purchand she told him no. After she rang me up, I realized she did not charge me for an item that was not in stock but I wanted to order. She rang me up and when I got to car I noticed there was an extra $20 charge. After loading my car, I went back in and asked her what the charge was. She said it was fed ex charge for special order and its non refundable. I told her that wasn't listed on purchase order. She said its automatically charged with that item. I explained to her that with my rehab loan I informed the person who completed it that it had to be to the exact cost. I told her that person never mentioned additional mandatory cost. When she reached out to the associate she said she was helping another customer. I then asked to speak to the mgr and Courtney informed me she was the mgr. I then reiterated that this was never me toned to me and it should have been put on purchase order. She walked away without saying anything. I stood there for 10 minutes not knowing what was going on. She came back and said she talked to the associate and she didn't have approval to not charge me but she would refund me. I was happy but she let me know that this charge is always associated with this item- so why not link the cost to the item so it shows on purchase order when its scanned. My husband and I came here to get new flooring for 2 of our rooms and it took sometime to get someone to help us with a ton of questions in regards to the different flooring to choose between. I will say one of their workers was very knowledge about the flooring which we really appreciated! We actually ended up buying a different flooring then what he recommended but his help was appreciated. Terrible experience! We went to the store bought some floor. We were told to pay first and pick it up in the Pick up area at the back of the building. The employees work at the "Customer Pick up area" is very rude. We were waiting for more than an hour to pick up our stuff. But we saw the employee just being lazy and standing there do nothing. We respectfully ask them how long would it take because we have another place to go, the employee were just rude and disrespectful. We would not be back! We ordered wood flooring for our home in were GUARANTEED me it would be in stock last week. The only way I can find out about my order is to come into the store BECAUSE NO ONE WILL ANSWER THE PHONE. This was my second choice of flooring but they PROMISED the flooring would be in the store my LAST WEEK. Manager Mike G said they would beat Lumber Liquidators price BUT if I had ordered it from them it would be in the warehouse ready for pick up. Nancy was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She got us everything we needed and did all the calculations so we didn't have to. She helped us match our tile with our backsplash and grout. She had an app on her phone to figure out exactly how much we needed of everything. The colors match great and the service was great. We even got to pick an exact delivery date. I have done a few projects and used this place with no issues regarding the products. The return policy is great because there are no hassles. I do like the selection compared to other places in the area. The only concern I have is the associates tend to roam and hang in groups having a good time without really looking for people that need assistance. I don't want a salesman harassing me;however, when I do make it a point to look for help it would be nice to not have to break up the group of employees to get it. read more

I understand that it must be not so great to work at a place like this. I understand most employees just need the time clock to get benefits and so on. What I don't understand is the sad looks on their faces. The place is glum as can be. It must go up the chain to the management too. Why else would this be an acceptable image your the company? My experience when as follows: I am a self-employed Handyman. My Client picked a tile for a project the contacted me to bid the job etc. This process took about a week back and forth non-billed. Then it came time to order the tile. I brought the sample in. The Salesperson looked up the SKU and placed the order. When I saw the self the tiles were on I noticed that it was a mixed batch of random tiles. I asked if we were on the same page as I only wanted one tile in the batch (400+). He said "yes" that they would all be the one I wanted. 3 weeks later the tiles arrive and are ready for pick up. I waited about an 1:15 for the sad looking employees to load the back of my car. When they did I check to make sure it was the tile I wanted. It was not it was a mixed batch and quite random and not even the same pattern or color from the prior batch. I had to get a refund and that took about another 30 mins. Needless, to say this carelessness set me and my Client back about a month. I am not even sure the Client will go through this process again. I will probably lose this gig and many hours of time. I was counting on that gig too. Needless to say, if you are in the same boat as me check everything out first. If you don't if might cost you a lot of time and money. My question is - why is my and my Client's time not worth anything? What is the compensation? The assit Manager said he would take it up with the employee. I am not alright with that. It does me nothing. It just gets him blamed and maybe fired. Then someone else steps in his role and does that same thing. It's not fair to either of the Salespeople or Customers. read more

Keith not only gave us an education on what we needed for our project, he guided us through the entire process and pointed out items we would need to successfully complete the project! However, a picture is worth a thousand words. After much discussion, instruction and (unfortunately) heavy lifting, we showed Keith where we were going to install our beautiful new tile and he informed us that porcelain tile (our tile) was not appropriate:( So in conclusion, a Floor & Decor employee was so committed to our desired outcome and success that he helped us to understand that what we needed was a product they didn't even sell!! I just witnessed what is probably the worst customer service. A man was trying to get the attention of the cashier because his wife was bleeding (I could see his bloody napkin). He was trying to get some help but the cashier decided to ignore him and proceed with attending the customer. If somebody is hurt you excuse yourself and try to help the ill customer immediately. The man later went to a different associate and her response was "give me just a moment" and walked away. It took him a third try to get somebody's attention and he finally got somebody to help his wife. I have been here many times and their customer service is terrible. Anyway, he was very friendly and helpful with us!!! I came back today bc i forgot some supplies and Nancy helped me. Extremely rude and insulting customer service. I was in the store this afternoon exchanging multiset mortar ($16/bag) for basic thinset ($8/bag) after our handyman insisted that he didn't need the pricey mortar to lay our tile and actually preferred to work with the standard material. He's been laying floors for 22 years so we trust his judgment. A salesman at the store tried to convince us that we were making a mistake going with the cheaper mortar. As we left, my boyfriend picked up a small bag of grout to experiment with the color and I joked "an $11 experiment? We're on a budget here." The salesman overheard and commented "Yeah, we can tell." Excuse me, but who the hell are you? Why are you commenting on my budget? It is extremely inappropriate to comment on ANY customer's budget much less disparage how much money we can or cannot spend. I was extremely insulted and told him so when he smugly informed me that "there's no way [your handyman] is going to be able to lay that tile with basic thinset." Dude, don't worry about me, my handyman, my floor, or my money. Mind your own business and don't ever comment on other people's money. read more

I purchased the tile and most of the other supplies for my bathroom remodel from this store. I had to change tile choices a couple of times because they did not have enough product in stock. Then when my contractor went to pick it up 3 days later the order had not been pulled. When we finally got the order, both tiles had mixed die lots and two packs were broken.Plus there were several other things that had to be exchanged because they were wrong. Later after a week of delays, we had to order more of something, I did it online again when it was to be picked up it was not there. I finally just cancelled that order and got it somewhere else. read more

Had some doubts on the tile for a backsplash and I approached Katie at their design studio and she was able to put my vision together in a matter of seconds. Literally the most unhelpful employees I have ever seen. I think if they spent as much time helping customers as they do avoiding eye contact, I could give them 3 or 4 stars for their selection. Truly horrible employees. They have some employees that have been in the flooring business and know a thing or two, but the majority of the people working here look like they would rather be taken out back and dragged around under the wheel of a semi. I don't understand. If you hate your job, quit. There is no sense making others miserable because you are. You don't HAVE to work here. It's not an army draft. You CHOSE to work here! I'm sure there are plenty of other people that would love to work in an air conditioned warehouse ringing people up for $13 an hour. Management is running around not telling the employees to get to work and ignoring the bad behavior left and right. Really sad to see this place being run into the ground. read more

There is something fundamental wrong with this store. Every time I come to this store the wait is excruciatingly long. I had a four hour wait during the day. The issue was a phone purchase. Still did not complete that transaction. Apparently they are beset with computer problems. That's as good an excuse as any, I guess. That been over a year now. Tonight (April ) they are still experiencing the same problem. Long lines at the cashier listening to the latest gossip and various Malays of the floor clerks of which there are hoards. Laughing and chit chatting while I'm stewing in my anxiety to get to the job site or home to bed. I tell you, its no fun. Makes me wonder though, with the relatively high cost of the products which understandably due to paying those hordes of employees, all that wait time, due to highly inefficient computer network or equipment . Make me wonder if customers did not have to pay for this extreme inefficiencies what would be the uninflated cost of the goods? Ten or twenty percent less perhaps, who knows? There seems to be no incentive for improvement, as least as far as I can see. I am certainly not advocating strident stoic relationship, that is no fun either. There should be a medium point. Personal interaction most certainly, but coupled with a bit more efficiency. At this point the culprit seems to be the computers. That is the easiest problem to fix. Spending money should be painful but not excruciating. Moreover if someone saw the importance of getting satisfied customers out the door in half the time, what would be the net benefit to the store? Come on guys you can certainly do better than that. Invest in the computers, or just forget about it all together and go back to pencil and paper. I have a weird suspicion lines would have a shorter wait time. read more

Floor & Decor is basically a no frills warehouse format. No decorator embellished set ups or displays that I noticed, just a lot of rows of different flooring elements. This may be a negative to some, but for me, no problem. I'm a nuts and bolts kind of guy anyway. Inventory is organized well and I found it easy to determine where my particular flooring interest was located. Their layout is pretty simple. The inventory you will take home, is stacked into rows with 3' x3' (and other sized) samples mounted on plywood leaning in front of the stack to help you see the installed pattern result. We were approached three times during our meandering look-a-bout, and when we did opt for assistance, we found the assistant very knowledgable and willing. You can purchase samples and later return them if needed. read more

Our experience here was terrific. We were asked if we needed assistance by three people within five minutes of being there and the customer service rep who finally helped us was fantastic. Trish took time not only to answer all our questions but to educate us so we knew what we should be looking for and why. When we eventually found laminate flooring at an insanely good price, she helped with all the accessories (t-joins, quarter round, etc.). They cut longer pieces to fit into our vehicle and at no time seemed hesitant to cut a sample or open a box for any customer. Trish made our experience painless and educational and ended up getting us exactly what we needed. I would definitely recommend Floor and Décor. Don't even think about places like Home Depot or Lowe's. read more

Over a period of two days I called them 13 times and no one answered the phone so that I can dispute this charge. Is this store open or what?... read more

Excellent customer service!!! My husband and I just finished the back splash class at Floor & Decor. Grady was an excellent instructor and his design expertise and knowledge was extremely helpful. We have a much clearer idea of what we want and steps to install a kitchen back splash. We purchased flooring for 3 rooms in our home recently at this store and the team are all knowledgeable and always helpful. I appreciate that everyone is able to offer assistance. I walked in not knowing at all what my project consisted of and found the first available associate, Thierry Pierre-Philippe, who listened to what I wanted to accomplish and stayed with me until I had my car loaded up. He showed me different styles and went over all my options and used his big muscles to haul it over the store and into my trunk safely. He has a glowing personality, didn't make me feel like I had no clue what I was doing, and was very knowledgeable and humble -- he confirmed he was giving me the right advice by asking a peer of his. His specialty is the stone department but I am all set for my tile project and had an overall wonderful experience shopping there. read more

Floor and Decor is located in the Colonial Town plaza, off of SR 50 (Colonial Dr) and Bumby. This is a large store with a HUGE selection of flooring, tiles, granite, you name it. If you are thinking about starting a home project, especially in the bath or kitchen, you should cruise through here. This place has the largest selection in their show room, of any of the big box or other places I stopped in. Great to have items there and in stock to see first hand, as stone and tile color vary so much depending on manufacturer, etc. They also have nice groupings of products that work together and project ideas throughout the store. They have a 30 return policy, so if you are trying to match up or coordinate with products already installed in your home, buy an item and return it. So much better than ordering in a tiny sample of something, elsewhere. Finally, the prices are great. On the standard and fancy stuff, they beat everyone else I shopped. Sometimes by a dollar or two, sometime by much more. That really adds up when you are tiling a backsplash or floor. Decent online inventory to shop ideas at home, first. read more

I live in Jacksonville, Florida. My local Floor and Decor was not giving me correct information involving tile that I needed. At one point my local store suggested I contact the Savannah store because they possibly had the tile I needed. When I contacted them The representative asked me why I contacted them when I should contact the Orlando store because they were much bigger. I called the number provided by the Savannah store and it rang for a long time without anyone answering. Finally a friendly voice said hello. That was such a relief. That person worked in the warehouse and he happened to hear it ringing and answered. Thank goodness he did. What a difference he made in my frustration level. His name was Ray Ammeraal. This man made it his mission to help me solve my problem. It isn't everyday you have someone go out of his way to take the time to help when that wasn't his job because he worked in the warehouse. He made sure the Orlando store had the tile I needed and he completed the transaction for me. I even drove from Jacksonville to Orlando to pick the tile up. Since then Ray has been very helpful with other tile availability problems. He is a special employee who deserves a big shout out for going above and beyond for this company!
