I'm a contractor. Every single time that my costumers buy from this place I have a bad experience. When they do the take off, they always give you more that you need, when trying to return, they make sure it's complicated. Even after showing the receipt it's a long process. You have to bring the credit card and it has to be the same person. That is after they complain 100 times for you returning stuff. There is a big mess all over the store. Piles of new and all materials are scattered in almost every aisle. The shelf are half way empty and you have to beg the representatives to look for materials. They charge you for storage if you don't pick up your materials in a certain time. No phone sales. That means if my costumers want to pay they have to personally go there a bunch of times. Do not be fooled by the prices. If you go to Home Depot the prices are not much different in fact, cement board, think-set, underlayment, moldings, transition and grout are much cheaper at homedepot, with the advantage that at Home Depot you can come back if we need more and you get to find it. read more

Waited for 35 mins in the online pickup area to pick up 6 containers of caulk/silicone. Other customers came and went and I waited. They finally came out and said they didn't have the silicone but only the 4 containers of caulk. So I drove 40 mins and they couldn't even complete the order. Then hassled next about getting a receipt for the refund after I said I wouldn't leave without a receipt. Do not buy from this store chain, and definitely do not online order. read more

We found several we were really excited about and needed help deciding on because of materials, sturdiness, etc. After about 10 minutes I found a guy at the front that was more than annoyed that I asked him to follow me to the aisle to answer questions. He just shrugged, took a deep breath and was less than helpful. He read the description to me. Thanks my guy. I already did that. Needless to say, I won't be driving all the way back there or buying from them. Absolutely awful. Get a staff that can help and doesn't want to just stand at the front and collect a check. read more

This is a tough one to review. It was one of the only tile places open on a Sunday, which is why I came here the first time. The selection and the prices are very good. However, customer service was either fantastic or terrible. They have a serious cart shortage and every time I asked for one, they looked at me like I had snakes chewing on my head. I had to get some tile that was on the top shelf and needed a forklift. I asked two people, waited 25 minutes and nobody got it down for me. I came back the next day and the 1st person I asked helped me immediately - I wish I remembered his name. Wanda, the cashier was very helpful and friendly. He answered all our questions directly and definitely knew the products and process involved with regards to installation. Ian is a definite asset to this company! Overall, we have had a very interesting experience with Floor & Decor. We first went in to the location and talked to their design staff. They were very friendly and helpful. They suggested we contact Installation Made Easy, to have measurements taken so we could then purchase tile and have it installed. So far so good. When we contacted IME, they sent out Ramsa with 1n1 enterprise to take our measurements. He said we would receive the "shop" sheet that afternoon. It took another 3 days of us asking for it before we finally received it. We proceeded to work with the design staff to pick out tile, accessories, etc. We presented the shopping list and the store pulled all of the materials that were on the list. It took another 3 days of phone calls back and forth with 1n1 asking about when they could start the job. They advised us they could start the job the following Monday and it should take only 2-3 days to complete. They never showed on Monday. We finally called and were told they double booked the crew and they would be out on Wednesday. When the crew arrived on Wednesday, they said we didn't have enough supplies. They proceeded to re-measure the bathroom and gave us a list. They said they would be back the following day. We said we would go pick it up, and expected them to start that same day. They had a dumpster delivered on Wednesday as well. When the dumpster driver dropped the long dumpster, he crushed a sprinkler head. When we advised 1and1 when we realized it that night, they said they would have the dumpster company fix it. It took 3 days and 1/4 of our driveway pavers washing out before they finally fixed it. Now back to the tile... When we went to Floor and Decor with the updated shopping list, we didn't have any idea what we were looking for because it was a hand written list with no real details. We spent about 45 minutes pulling various things from the shelves and asking various staff in the department questions before we ran across Trish. (She's the sole reason the store gets 2 stars). Trish knew customer service. She immediately took control of the situation and pulled a list of everything we previously purchased, getting a department manager to help determine what items we needed, as well as the designer to make sure we had the right stuff matching what was originally bought. When we mentioned to her and the department manager that this was no "installation made easy"...the manager laughed and said, I hope they didn't send Ramsa... We said, why, yes, they did... He immediately got on the phone and called the district manager and advised him of the situation. Now that we have all the additional supplies, we go back to installation. The crew showed up, none of them spoke english. We had to translate through broken english and the use of Google image search to figure out what they want. BTW, it's incredibly hard to "find the orange bag of mortar at Home Depot"... It took another week before they finished the job. We have had to make several trips for supplies to Floor and Decor. They have had to replace 2 of the shelves in the shower twice because they kept falling. The installers son was on the site one day and he was able to translate for us. They said the shelves were defective because they were following the install directions as well as using the correct adhesive. When we attempted to return them at the store, it took about 30 minutes of arguing with various managers because as they put it "how are we supposed to resell this since it's been used"... We had to argue with them and be like, it's defective, your installer says so, the internet says it doesn't have sufficient tape to hold it to the wall until the liquid nails dries... but yet they still refused to refund it. Also the installers did not install all of the chrome edge trim on the tile. And today, we find out when they re-installed the toilet, they didn't do it correctly and it's leaking at the base. On both occasions when we have complained to the store, they have told us it's a 3rd party and they have no control. They said they would share the feedback with their corporate office and Installation Made Easy. Based on the feedback from the manager, it doesn't look like anything will change. BE WARNED, AVOID 1n1 AND Installation Made Easy! And don't count on the store to help when the company they recommend doesn't follow through on the job. You'll spend more fixing all of the crap then having it done right in the first place. read more

I went to many places looking for porcelain tiles, and they were so expensive, until I went to Floor and Decor. I chose the glazed Millennium Cream, and the quality and the price was excellent, also the employees were very helpful. They helped me throughout the entire transaction, and even though they didn't have the tiles on stock, they arrived three days later. I'm really glad that I made my purchase there, and I love my floor, it looks gorgeous with the porcelain tiles. read more

Lotsss of options. I like that they have all the different types of flooring on a large scale display so you can get a true idea of what it will look like (versus the tiny little blocks you'll find at HomeDepot). That's the only good thing I can say about this place. I saw other reviews about how poor the service is here, but decided to go anyways - I was going for flooring, not customer service - oh how I was wrong. I thought I could just come look at hardwood flooring types, and make a decision. Turns out there's a LOT more to flooring than that. I would have never figured any of that out though at Floor and Decor. My sister and I wondered around for a solid 30 minutes before leaving because the 7 employees working decided to stand around the front and talk to each other instead of help obviously confused and clueless would-be customers. It was laughable though, we were so baffled at how NO ONE offered any kind of help. At least you know you're not going to be harassed by a high pressure salesman, so that's a plus. As for the hardwood itself - unfortunately if you're looking for bamboo, the selecting is lacking here. Which I found weird considering how popular bamboo flooring is becoming. They had a handful of options but all the same shades - either incredibly dark (which I like but not for my place), or grays (again, I liked them but not for me). No in between shades of bamboo. I found one that I loved online, but in person it was an extremely different color. It wasn't even close to the picture they use online. We ended up not going with Floor and Decor at all after our visit to the store. read more

Very poor experience. Ordered bamboo 1/6 told it would arrive 1/13. Arrived 1/17 with both pallets damaged. Informed it was reordered and would arrive in 3-5 days. Called several times and given different answers. On 1/27 went into the store and told they have no idea if or when it would arrive and they offered no substitute or compensation for truck rental. A quick note to say the biggest "Thank You!" I can to Julio Figueroa and Nidya at the F & D store #110, Pickup and Loading Dock ( Order #RB078901593932213). Nidya was not only super patient and understanding for how lost I was (construction all around the pick up area and very confusing). Also, she showed real empathy and apologized for my wait and made sure that I was taken care of in the right order and place. When Julio saw me trying to load the 500+lbs of material in my teeny Hyundai Accent by myself, he enthusiastically offered to help (I mean, I'm almost 60, so heck ya!). The guy who dropped off all the stuff and left said I'd probably have to come back for all the cement boards, but Julio agreed to help me safely work them in. And when he laughed at my obscure Ace Ventura: Pet Detective reference of "Like a glove!" and said "such a great movie", it was icing on the cake. Product selection and prices are good. Getting help with customer service over the phone is terrible. Expect to be put on hold forever. Online stock availability is inaccurate. They need to make sure staff are competent in updating their inventory. When picking up order, having a schedule doesn't mean anything because you will still wait an average of 1-2 hours to get loaded up!!!!! read more

The service in this place is awful. We came in to buy countertops, and the first time we waited almost an hour to get service. When we finally had an opportunity to talk to someone, it turned out they didn't cut anything to the size we needed (which was just in half). We left to make sure we could rent a table saw from home depot, and came back shortly after. The second time, we waited almost 45 minutes for the lady to just check if they had what we wanted in stock (even though they had just told us they did). It was horribly frustrating! Next time, I think we will drive further away just to avoid having to put up with this service again. read more

Horrible customer service. My wife and I went there this morning to purchase $3,500 in flooring. We had an account (in good standing) with F&D and were going to place the order on our credit account. Well, F&D has apparently changed credit companies and this is our problem. We no longer have an account and were told we needed to re-apply. We were directed to a kiosk (the only one) that didn't work. Then, we were directed to an app we could go to - also didn't work. The Manager came and offered no assistance but to wait in line for a cashier who already wasn't able to help. At that point, we left. 20 miles to get to this store and another 40 minutes wasted there. This store acts as if it's doing you a favor by letting you purchase flooring. The customer service here is horrible! Don't shop here. If there was a way to give less than 1 star, I would have. read more

As confused as I was with so many different great options at great prices, Emma was able to get the facts like a detective solving a mystery. Bought about 1400 sq ft of some beautiful porcelain tile from F&D but made the mistake of having their "Trusted Partner" Installation Made Easy install it.... After contacting the installation company they set up a tile company, Cross Island Tile to come out for the estimate. It was a good price so we decided to go with them, that was our mistake! The guy from Cross Island gave us a "shopping list" of items to get for the installation and gave us an estimated length of time for installation as 4 to 5 days. As it turns out both the list and time estimate was way off! We were 15 boxes (200 sq ft) short, had 8 bags of thinset, and five gallons of floor primer left over. I had to drive to Floor and Decor to buy more tile, and take all that extra stuff back! But the biggest issue with Installations Made Easy's tile installer was the time it took to install. The first day of install Cross Island showed up with ONE tile guy. said his helper went out the night before and couldn't get him to answer the phone!! This install job was to move furniture, remove and replace baseboards, and install and grout 1400 sq ft of tile then move furniture back. Long story short, the job I was told would take 4 to 5 days, has taken 15 days and as I sit here and write this the job is still not done!! We have been living in basically a construction zone for over 2 weeks!!! Only had one guy working 90% of the time. It was a good tile job, but not worth the time and aggravation. I had to help move all the furniture, something I paid THEM to do!! Think twice about using Installation Made Easy and especially Cross Island Tile unless you have plenty of time on you hands. Since they are partners with Floor and Decor you would think F&D would monitor the installations so it wouldn't reflect badly on them like this experience has.... read more

7/17/17 update: F & D covered our cost of the flooring inspection and also paid for new wood to repair our issues, even though the installer caused the problem. F & D sells great flooring products. Be sure to vet your installer to make sure they install your beautiful floor correctly. Thank you! Our story prior to 7/17: We bought 1700 sf of hard wood and asked if Floor & Decor would install it. They told us they don't do installs, but they could refer us to people that they use. The installer that they referred us to (J&S Flooring, Raj Hemraj) did not properly acclimate the wood, did not test the relative humidity prior to installation, did not use a proper underlayment and did not allow room for wood expansion. This was confirmed by a licensed floor inspector, costing us another $400. So we have a cupped and buckled floor and no one will take responsibility. read more

On March 3, 2020, I visited the Colonial Floor & Décor store to place an order on tiles I had previously selected to use for a shower remodel. When I arrived, no one came to help me so I approached a cashier and told her I wanted to place an order. She alerted Nancy who came over to help me. She spoke with me about my remodel to get a perspective of what I wanted. She reviewed my selections and when she informed me that I was using marble for my floor, I told her I did not want marble. She suggested other tiles which would work so much better than the ones I had chosen (and were actually less expensive). Unfortunately the tiles she showed me were out of stock, so she found them in another store; called them to make sure they had them; and saved them for me. Additionally, she helped me select the thin set and grout I needed because of the glass tiles I was using on the walls. I hadn't planned on getting them here as my tile guy said to go to Lowe's. But she convinced me to get what was needed and saved me a trip to Lowe's. She was friendly and helpful and went out of her way to achieve my goals. She made my buying experience a pleasure rather than an ordeal. Her professionalism and expertise was greatly appreciated and I will always shop at Floor & Decor because of her. Initially, I was disappointed with the service when I arrived. But after working with Nancy I will highly recommend her to everyone I know!
