I was quoted a fair price that was consistent with my other 2 estimates. The estimate included hardwood floors in my family room, on my steps, and in the upstairs hallway. Also, they would put on baseboard and shoe molding, sand and seal the floors, and then apply 2 coats of oil based polyurethane. I was away on vacation when the men came to do the work. When I came home (late Saturday evening) I was appalled at the sloppy job that was done. I immediately called Dan and left him a text message. He came out Monday morning. He seemed pretty upset about the work that was done. He said he would come back and fix everything. The following problems needed to be fix: 1. the baseboard molding: none of the corners touched, some of the baseboard was cut to short and there was a broken piece. 2. The polyurethane coating: it was clumpy in some areas 3. The transition pieces: a number of them were cracked and they never put a transition piece between the hallway and my bathroom 4. Chips and gaps: a number of the floor boards were chipped and there were major gaps between some of the boards 5. The steps: These were a disaster. There were gaps between the steps and risers, many of the wood pieces were cut to short. They used a non matching orange wood putty to fill in mistakes and also used white caulk (which was not approved for use on wood floors). Dan and his son came out for 2 days to try and fix it. They fixed most of the molding, however one piece they cut was cracked in half and we had to glue it back together and the molding inside the upstairs closet still does not look right. They replaced 2 transition pieces and installed a transition piece between the bathroom and hallway. They fixed some of the gaps on the floors, but used a darker wood putty that did not match the color of my floor. The steps still had gaps and looked awful. My husband and I had to spend two days fixing the steps, putting putty in the gaps, staining the putty to match the floors, then applying two coats of oil based polyurethane on the steps and entire upstairs hallway. After our hard work they look ok, but are not perfect. The entire process was extremely stressful and very time consuming for my husband and myself. It cost us time, money, and a great deal of personal stress. All of this could have been avoided if we went with another company I would never recommend Danzco and suggest that you choose another company.

The third day they seemed to just not care anymore because they were 3 hours late, made more of a mess, didn't clean it up, and left the house without telling me. I still don't know if they are to come back. Overall, the finished product was OK but I've seen better. This is a fine example of how small businesses fail. From beginning to end, the customer should experience complete satisfaction in the work they paid for. This includes the professionalism of the workers, which is part of the finished product. I found that part lacking.

I wanted everything to be sustainable and non toxic, particularly with the engineered hardwoods, which are manufactured and I wanted them thick enough for refinishing down the road. Eddie did a lot of searching for us and really found the best option out there for us and they looked gorgeous and exactly what we wanted. He and the owner even called me about the installation for the basement floors and said they would have to use tiny drops of glue at the joints but they had found a non toxic glue to use and sent me the material safety data sheet. The price was more than reasonable, especially considering they had to pull out about an acre of wall to wall carpeting! The work was done very well and I know if I have any issues, they will correct them. Great company!

We are very happy with the finished product. These next comments don't relate to Tony's Floors... but you might find them helpful. We were not prepared for the smell. In retrospect, I wish we had booked a hotel room for about four nights. The house was a mess with sawdust everywhere. Orlando did a good job of taping up plastic and wrapping chandeliers and lights, but over time, some of that tape gave away and opened up. Then the smell of the stain and polyurethane is overwhelming. We stayed in our room, put towels under the door and opened with windows... but not pleasant. Then be prepared, you cannot walk on floors for several days. We were able to build a bridge using a ladder and a 2 x 12 board, but we got lucky. So prepare ahead of time, take everything you will need and book a hotel room. Finally, be ready to clean even after Orlando and crew complete their clean. They did a good job, but no way to easily remove the dust in every area. It's the reality. At the end, our floors look great and it was worth it, but it's not a simple, easy project.

He listened to my desires and we set up an in-home appointment to assess my carpeting needs. A few hours later Bruce Barboza arrived at my home and meticulously measured the areas to be carpeted. We had a pleasant, professional, and flawless experience from start to finish. The second-best part was that Ray's crew started on time and finished within the three-week schedule - amazing! This was a massive job - starting with knocking out walls to open up the kitchen and enlarge storage space, removing false fronts at the ceiling to allow ceiling height cabinets, and shifting appliances to provide a more natural workflow for cooking. Then sanding, priming, and painting the walls and trim and refinishing the hardwood floor. A total kitchen makeover. Ray worked with us patiently and provided objective guidance as we selected our cabinets, countertops, and all of the bright-work. He developed design plans where we could see different attributes of the cabinets and changes to the workflow - and made changes in real time. Ray was also quick to point out the advantages and disadvantages of different cabinet manufacturers and countertop components. I used this company to redo all the floors in my new townhouse, I wanted to support a small local…read morebusiness. No follow up, I had to reach out for updates. I ordered all my flooring a month in advance and was told no problem for my target installation dates. I stressed that timing was crucial since it was a full renovation and the floors would be the last piece before I moved in. I literally booked the movers based on our agreed upon timeframe. When I called to confirm that everything was on track, oh yeah one of the floors I selected was out of stock, come reselect. I was reassured that the time frame was no problem. I called again the week before to give hard dates, and now there are issues. When I reminded him this was not an option, we agreed to have two of the three levels installed, causal flooring in the basement, carpet on the third floor and stairs, with the hardwood on the main level being pushed a few days. The installation of engineered flooring in the basement is not great, the flooring is not tight, the carpet installation was fine. The main floor hardwood was a nightmare. They got to the end and found a problem that meant they needed to pull some of it up and "level" the subfloor. According to the owner it would be an extra $500 and they would level the subfloor with new plywood, etc. they were supposed to do this work the day before the movers, they no showed. Then they were supposed to do it the morning of the move, they showed up saw workers in the kitchen and left to comeback in the afternoon. That meant they had my floor open while the movers were trying to get furniture in. Their fix was cutting the plywood, literally hacking at the floor joists ( there were chunks of wood in my storeroom underneath) and putting back the old plywood. Of course there was not enough flooring to complete the job so it was almost another month before the job was finished. I also pointed out the excessive use of nails on the step edges, the owner told be they would fill them and I would not notice. He lied.
