A little late on this review but Justin installed our LVP flooring in our small gym room upstairs! Very knowledgeable, professional, efficient and the project was done in less than a day, and not long after we got a quote! It's been 1-2 years now and I'm still very happy with the results, super clean and beautiful, and I'm a very picky and OCD when it comes to home renovations lol! I highly recommend this company. Floor works is awesome!! It is a one-stop-shop boutique flooring experience. Pete is more knowledgeable than any salesman because he installs the products himself, and you don't have to deal with shifty deal making. He's a straight shooter. Even though his shop is not open for as many hours as some traditional retail places, he will happily make an appointment when he can give you focused attention. Pete recently replaced the carpeting in our house with laminate wood flooring and he also installed all new base moulding throughout our entire house. The work Pete did was one part of a larger project to update the interior of our house, so we worked with no less than eight contractors, and Pete was by far our best experience. Not only is his work impeccable (and we are VERY picky), but he also figured out how to save us money on the flooring we chose. After much time searching, I found the product I wanted at a different store. Pete helped me track down the manufacturer and then ordered it directly--saving me $1 a square foot--which added up to nearly $800. I can't even list the countless small details that Pete attended to, without being asked, that made the final outcome so amazing. We called floorworks to install laminated flooring in a very large part of our home. The price he quoted us was extremely reasonable and fair. They arrived exactly on time and went way beyond what was expected. Very carefully, they moved furniture and were extremely careful of any and all our little nick nacs and pictures. They tore up the old carpeting, rolling it up and keeping everything nice and clean. They prepared the floor with the outmost precision making sure there were no left over nails or staples, or anything that could cause a problem with the floor down the road. The new floor went down very carefully and they made sure that everything fit perfectly. It was an absolute pleasure having Pete and his crew put down a marvelous floor in our home. We were looking to re-carpet our living room and Pete was recommended on a neighborhood FB page. I decided to check him out here on Yelp, saw what I liked so gave him a call. I left a message and he called right back. We set up a time for him to come and do some measurements and he actually showed up when he said he would (rare these days, right?). He was easy to deal with, had some ideas for the room and after he was done measuring, I told him I would come to his shop that weekend to look at samples. Once I got to his shop I was impressed with how organized and clean it was. I picked out some samples and Pete let me take them home so we could see how they looked. After choosing the one we wanted, I called Pete to order it and the quote he gave was very reasonable. He communicated all the along the way, the day he ordered it, the day it arrived and then we set up a day for the install. On the day of the install he gave me a one hour window of time and showed up right in the middle of it (again, rare these days). He and his son got right to work and pulled out all the old carpet and padding, installed the new carpet and padding and didn't leave a spec of dirt behind when they were done! If you don't use Floor Works, you are missing out on how old school guys like Pete work and how real vendors are supposed to take care of their customers! Pete and his Son are the most experienced installers you will find. They did a complete house flooring job for me and the results are beautiful. They installed a water resistant Laminate product called Aqua Guard in my home and they made it look easy because of the extensive talent and experience these guys have. They also replaced all the floor moldings which demonstrated the excellent carpentry skills these guys have. If you are able to hire Pete consider yourself lucky because no other installer or flooring contractor I came across had the experience of Pete and his crew. His fee was reasonable and less than the labor quotes from Lowes. Home Depot didn't want my job because it involved demo of 50 year old glued down old flooring that was under the carpet. I found Floor Works through a recommendation on NextDoor. I met the owner, Pete, at his store and he was incredibly knowledgable and helpful. I selected hardwood floors, and he quoted me with a great price (comparable to big retailers). He came to my house and meticulously measured our floors and explained his plan in detail. He gave me an extremely fair price for the labor too. He worked with his son and their job was pristine. More like amazed and blown away with the whole process from start to finish. (They also finished the job by the timeline that they gave me). I'm "one of those" who use the reviews of Yelp but don't do reviews. This is my first. Floor Works was great to work with. I absolutely dread having to deal with contractors but this was a good experience. I always feel that I'm being taken advantage of because I'm female and "don't know any better". Pete and his team never made me feel that way. Sincere and trustworthy for sure. Workmanship is great and at a price that was very reasonable. I am so thankful that I found Floor Works to do my floor. If anything else comes up that I need help with I will call them. I can't say that for too many of the contractors I have hired over the years. I highly recommend you get a bid for your floors, you won't be sorry.
