We went there right away, and was able to have me cut enough material for our stairs. I mean ENOUGH, since we're matching designs. Very very happy with the purchase. Not only, my basement stairs looked elegantly rich, we have ENOUGH to carpet the top of the stairs, which is the hallway (just like before). That's like buying 2 for the price of one. Visiting on a Saturday morning is a little crazy though, and there is competition to get assistance from their sales personnel. But, once I was assigned someone, she was very helpful and had lots of suggestions. The website is a bit clunky, but still helpful rooting through the thousands of combinations and patterns. They have some standard tiles and patterns in stock, but most orders and all custom blends are made to order and require some lead time. We ended up choosing some gorgeous rhomboid tiles and borders from United Tile after endless searching through other providers. I was able to check-out some samples to take home and could return them to United Tile or our contact at Contract Furnishing Mart, which saved me the drive.

A couple things to know... 1) They don't keep inventory at the Portland location, it ships from a distribution center in central/eastern WA. 2) Orders are delivered to a logistics warehouse on Swan Island (near UPS) that's where customers must pick up their orders. 3) Simple Floors doesn't do installations and they don't contract with installers, they only sell the products (flooring).
