I shared pictures of the area with Trina and brought in a sample of my wallpaper that was not yet installed along with a list of possibilities that I saw on Kane's website. Trina is an exceptional designer and picked out the carpet we went with. Ot was not one of my choices when looking at Kanes site. Trina is amazing, her binder did a fantastic job and the price was pleasantly surprising. Trina bent over backwards to secure my carpet from the manufacture and she was able to get the last piece in existence. She truly pulled a rabbit out of her hat and just look at the result. Sure it took some time for the product to arrive. Manufactures are struggling as materials are somewhat scarce due to covid (we all know that) and shipping delays. Floors Etc did a great job on my flooring. They beat the competitors pricing, they moved my appliances and toilets for the flooring install (which other companies said they would not do) and the finished product is beautiful. There was even a spot that later settled unevenly and Trina had her team come back out weeks later to fix it at no additional charge. They made sure I was happy with the final product, which is so important after such a large investment. However, the part about Floors Etc that was the most incredible to me was the Etc. Trina made herself available for any and all questions regarding my renovation, even if it didn't have to do with the flooring portion I contracted them for. One example, I was having an impossible time picking the perfect white paint to go with the flooring, and even though we were doing the painting through our own contractor, she still took the time to help me find just the right one. Trina walked me through the entire renovation process and made sure I was having all my jobs done at the right time. She kept me sane while my house was entirely torn apart and made sure that her work displaced us for as little time as possible. On March 12th 2022 we went into contract with Floors ECT. And Flooring and beyond - a joint company. We were having vinyl plank flooring installed in 1590 sq. ft. of our house. The total price for this project was $13,558. We put a deposit down of $7104 with the commitment of install before the end of April. At this point in time everything was great, we were excited for our new floors that we had been saving up for. Trina, the owner, started ghosting us as it came closer to the install date. We could not get a call back or confirmation on the materials being delivered. This went on for weeks, we would call and leave her a message over and over again. The only way we finally got a response was when we drove down there to find out what was going on. The 1st time we showed up Trina hid behind an office divider while we talked to her assistant that was brand new to the job. We told her assistant we were not leaving until we talked to her at which time she came out and gave us every excuse in the book as to why she avoided our calls such as she was overly busy and didn't have help or she was sick. After multiple confrontations like this, we finally got a committed install date of Monday May 14th. When that Monday came they were a no-show, no-call, we took PTO to be here for the initial install. On Tuesday they showed up late, but everything seem to be fine. On this day all carpets were removed and they left. Wednesday was also a no-show no-call. Finally, Thursday they showed up and did what they could as all material was not in yet. Friday they rushed through to get it done as quickly as possible, which bled into the following week so more PTO was needed. They did not remove the baseboards which is highlighted in the original work order leaving a gap between the new flooring and the baseboards which they covered up with ugly quarter rounds that were installed badly. The transition from the bedrooms that have carpet to the new flooring is also bad, the carpet is loose and coming up. The reason we are finally making the complaint is because of the horrible install. Almost all of the stair noses have fallen off and have had to be reinstalled and adhered correctly over the last few months. Some of the boards going up the stairs are also loose and need to be corrected as well. We have loose planks in the living area and we had to pay our painter to come and fix their drywall damage. We refuse to work directly with Trina the owner because she does not return phone calls or messages and is very unprofessional in what she does by blaming everyone else. This was the worse flooring experience we have ever had . We decided to go with Trina cause she said they move the furniture and gave us a good price.. She ask for all the money up front saying no one would takes partial payments any more .. I said no I will pay you half if you want the job so she agreed . We signed with her in Jan and month after month she said it's coming "COVID" delayed.. which I found out was not true. She had never ordered my tile for the main flooring.. it was like pulling teeth to get the carpet down .. the carpet is very nice but it took till June same with my bathroom till and the backsplash in the kitchen.. Everytime I went in she would cry and say next week two weeks next month .. It was all a lie .. I can say I gave her one star cause the work that was done looks great .. except the baseboards in the corners the guys put caulking instead of cutting small pieces to fit in them so that looks like crap I'll have to have someone fix them.. Also pay attention to your bill I went over mine with the contract and she over charged me 1200$ she did refund it but I had to do the work .. it's so much easier just go someplace else .. I did for my main house tile and my island and they got the tile very quick and it was done in 2 weeks not 6/7 months .. This review is my attempt to warn other consumers who might be considering doing business with Floors ETC to reconsider. I was completely dissatisfied. I want to briefly cover the back story. On 9/8/2021 I paid $1,298.00 in full for Floors ETC. to make me a custom 8'' round Anderson Tuftex shag area rug, promised within four weeks of purchase. I am a seasonal resident in Las Vegas I went out of town shortly after ordering the rug, I returned to Las Vegas five months later. On 2/7/2022 I emailed Trina of Floors ETC inquiring about my rug, she replied with a long convoluted email laced with issues that had been going on since 10/1/2021. Recognizing the pandemic may have played a role in slowing the delivery of goods I put on my hat of patience. Trina promised the rug would be ready on multiple other occasions, none of which came to fruition. On 5-26-2022 Trina forwarded me a series of text messages between her and the carpet supplier which began..."OMG we've waited 7 months and the carpet arrived with two slits in the middle and grease all over it..." On 5/26/2022 I sent the following email to Trina of Floors ETC., "I am writing to inform you that on 9/8/2021, I purchased one Bling color #554 Mirco gray 8" round, bound edged, felt backed area rug from your retail location. It has been eight months since I placed the order, and I paid in full. I am dissatisfied because I have received a variety of excuses from you but I have not received the goods I ordered. When a consumer orders goods, the merchant is required to deliver the goods the purchaser bought. Clearly you are unable to fulfill your contractual obligation to deliver the goods. Therefore, I am requesting a full refund of the purchase price I paid $1,298.00 for the Bling color #554 Mirco gray area rug. The transaction receipt is attached. Please notify me by email at, as soon as possible if you have any questions regarding my request for a refund. If I have not received a full refund by 06/09/2022 I will seek a cause of action". Trina refused to respond to my email, she did not call me, or write me a letter, she simply would not communicate. Where to begin, October 2nd I was desperate to find a carpet that a) I loved and b) could be installed in time for my move to Vegas from California. I had a very short window of time and Lowe's (my previous go to) informed me the whole process from estimate to install would take at least 6 weeks, no thank you! I did a quick search online for local businesses and to my delight, Floors Ect was the first and last call I had to make. My first encounter was with Melissa via phone. She was not only warm and professional but absolutely enthusiastic and genuinely excited to help me. She was able to schedule a free in home estimate with Bart on the exact day and time I wanted all for free. She assured me I was in good hands and I believed it 100 percent. Next was Bart who would in no way be outshined, he was courteous, professional, punctual, and accommodating. He took measurements for everything I wanted and let me know we could go to the showroom the very next day to meet with Trina who would assist me in finding exactly what I wanted. Oh Trina, the star of the show, a true kindred spirit in all things color and design. What a gem! She was so warm and so enthusiastic, I told her what I wanted and she exceeded my expectations. She got me right away! After a few samples I found the perfect one and she couldn't have been more excited for me. It was a little out of my original price rage but with her patience and willingness to work with me, I was able to put the money together and boy was it WORTH it. On top of everything she went out of her way to make sure I got my dream carpet just in time for my move that was less than 3 weeks away (a special order at that)! Cut to Monday October 19th (day 1 of installation) I could not have asked for a better crew! A lovely hardworking family of individuals who I instinctively knew would do an amazing job and that could not have been more accurate. Trina excitedly called me once the job was finished and sent me gorgeous pictures of the finished product as she knew I was back in California finishing up preparations for me move the next day. When I saw the pictures and video she sent my heart skipped 1000 beats, when I arrived in person and saw it with my own eyes and felt the soft, luciousness of the colorful fabric on my poor tired feet, I was in heaven. This is by far one of the best experiences I've ever had with any kind of home improvement service and I will forever be a loyal customer for as long as my home needs improving and their doors remain open. By far one of the worse experiences in home improvements I have received. The owner Trina always always has a sad story to tell on why the job cannot be completed. After waiting months after months for our flooring we ordered there wasn't enough AND they did a terrible instal job through my 2 story home. They damaged stair railings, out holes in the way from tiles, and damages brand new baseboards. Trina states her workers would come back and fix all damages they have cause but after she was paid in full after telling us a sad story of her business debt she asked to be paid in full prior to job being done or pay her working so she did t have to use a business loan to pay her workers. During the process of the flooring being installed her workers were so disrespectful and rude to my family. HIGH WOULD NEVER USE TRINA AGAIN ITS A TRAP. I would not recommend this place. They dented my front door, somehow got grease on my wall, dirty up some of my walls, didn't cover anything so I've been cleaning the entire house since they "did" the job. I had a hanger where the wire was twisted into my name until they damaged that. To top it all off, the person they did bring in to clean only put my dishes in the dishwasher including a knife set that does NOT go into the dishwasher. I knew I should of walked out the second they lied to me. I told them I was looking for textured laminate and they told me that doesn't exist. That's funny because my sister had that installed in her house a month earlier but my husband is a sucker for anyone who smiles at him. I had my floors done by Floors etc a few months back and I couldn't be happier. Trina and her staff were booked out about 2 to 3 weeks for my floors to be done. Once they started my floors they were in tearing out carpet and doing the demolition and finishing the install within five days. The floors look great the baseboards look great and her crew was fast getting everything done and level.I would recommend Floors etc to anyone that needs to get flooring complete. I am sick to my stomach right now. My new floors were supposed to be installed on 12/12/2022 (next week). After trying to reach the owner of the company, Trina, via phone and text and never receiving a reply, I went over to the store today to find that it is out of business. The only thing I found was a closed sign and an almost empty store, except for trash all over the place. I have already called the credit card company to put in a complaint and request for my money back. I tried the contractors board website only to learn that they cancelled their license. I don;t know if their insurance company that guarantees their services is still active or did they allow that to lapse too. I tried the better business bureau but I guess they never joined that either. I am heart-broken and now in debt that I am not sure I can get out of. And now I am reading that there are others in the same or similar spot as I am. When I first read the reviews, there were only 5 star ones listed. If you are looking for a flooring company to do a professional installation in your home, Floors Etc is the place to go. They recently completed a project at my daughters home. This was a birthday surprise arranged by my son-in-law for my daughter. They were to be out of town over her birthday and it was arranged through Trina to have the old flooring removed and the new installed while they were gone. They removed flooring from about half the entire house including the great room, kitchen, entryway and hallways. The installation crew began early Friday and finished Saturday evening, except for a small finishing touch done Sunday morning. My granddaughter and I were there during the whole process. I was so pleased with the crew who worked the project. They were all friendly, efficient, professional and determined to have the new flooring done in time to surprise my daughter. They worked as if she was their own. No detail was sacrificed because of time even though there was an unusual platform replace/install under the kitchen table. The crew manager was onsite several times both days and was quick to solve any issue that came up. Trina checked in with me by phone and by text with my son-in-law throughout the weekend. When the crew finished Saturday evening, they cleaned up all signs of their work and carefully moved the furniture back in place. They even asked if there was anything else they could do to help. I've rarely seen such customer service. When my daughter walked in on Sunday afternoon she was so surprised and happy beyond words. I intend to have them replace flooring in my own home soon. Like so many other reviews we only stress DONOT do business with Floors,etc! We previously used them in 2018 and had a good experience so we went back there when we did an addition on our home. We ordered carpet from Trina and paid in full when we ordered. We were never given a date to expect the carpet but since we had no problems previously we didn't t think much of it. Fast forward 2 weeks and our contractor is asking when the carpet will be installed so we can complete the project. This led to multiple calls never returned from Trina. When we did reach anyone it was her assistant she would make up excuses. My husband finally confronted her in person. She cried telling us she was having issues with banks and credit lines but she would call to find out where our carpet was and let us know. A week later still nothing. I begin calling other carpet companies in town to find out carpet can be here in less than week! We call again and get the assistant who tells us if we can get carpet somewhere else to go ahead and cancel their order through our credit card company. She beat out the other flooring quotes and just her personality and willing to help me was more than I got from the other companies I got quotes from. Trina is such a wonderful person who took the time to help me with picking out floor, kitchen countertop, and my fireplace brick! I was also dealing with cabinet people, plumber etc...and she helped me coordinate what should be done first, second and so forth. I started communicating, first by phone and also by text, on a Wednesday and by the following Monday still did not have a schedule for the work that needed to be done by a certain date. After just buying "disaster house" with motor oil carpet in every room (literally) I was at decision-making overload. My experience with Floors, etc was excellent in every way. I think I visited just about every flooring store in Vegas over several months while shopping for carpet to redo my entire house. I was nervous because of the anticipated cost of the project and concern about finding a unique and eye-catching carpet for a dramatic staircase and balcony. Trina took the time to learn what I wanted and then scoured the carpet companies to find a match. She was patient and very helpful with samples. There was no pressure and she gave a lot fo good advice on how to do the project. After making a selection, the next worry was installation because the pattern I chose was bold with an intricate repeat pattern. To complicate things, it was going into a staircase and balcony walkway (catwalk) that changed direction several times. Antonio and his installation crew were steady and deliberate as they matched the pattern seamlessly. They worked hard and did an ultra-professional installation. When done, they replaced all the furniture and cleaned up after themselves perfectly. One more comment about Antonio and his crew: they involved me in decisions and they accommodated my requests without hesitation. Very prompt to respond to the job we requested about. Called them and the next day they were working on the job. Finished the tile. Next day finished grouting. Another company told us it would be 2 months before they could set up a day to lay tile...really 2 months...thank you for having this company around. They also lay tile that was purchased from another company and they are very resonable. Layed tiled and grouted it. Quick, prompt and the workers ismhel and the other worker were friendly and great.
