I want to thank Floors etc, Trina and her assistant Malissa for all their help in choosing my carpet and tile. I own a rental home that needed new carpet and tile along with new baseboards. I also have my own home in which I reside in that needed new carpet and water proof flooring as well. After numerous trips to many local carpet and tile stores I was beyond frustrated and discouraged. The lack of interest from the sales people when I walked in was unbelievable! I was on my own! I then found Floors etc., a family owned wholesale flooring store. I was greeted the moment I walked in. Offering me refreshments, popcorn, candy, water, soda, and asked me my name when I entered the store. I felt so at home. I knew this was the place I needed to do business with. Malissa helped me with some beautiful selections. Minutes later, Trina the owner came out from her back office and personally worked with me for 2 hours. I could not really believe the owner takes the time to work side by side with the customer. Trina is also an interior designer and gave me many tips for other things in my home not even related to carpet. She is incredible! I had both homes measured, and all my pricing within 24 hours!! They are amazing. Their pricing came in below my budget which I wasn't expecting. Needless to say they got my business. Both of my homes were installed. My rental looks as beautiful as my own residence. All the crews were on time, professional, respectful, and masters at their craft. Everything was left clean. Trina even sent Wendy, her cleaning girl to give my home a white glove cleaning at no charge to me to remove the dust from the installation. Save yourself the time, gas, and frustration!! Floors etc is where it's at. A company run by women who know the business and understand your needs. A fabulous experience from start to end!! Trina the owner kept in constant touch with me during the installation of both homes. I texted her at midnight assuming she would get the text in the morning. My husband and I had just purchased a home and were looking to replace all of the carpeted areas except the guest rooms with waterproof laminate. This was a daunting task for us as we had no experience with hard flooring . I'm a very visual person, and I found it extremely difficult to make such a huge (expensive) decision in deciding on the style and color of flooring for our new home with only a small sample to judge from. What if we hated it? It was frustrating because I visited about 3 flooring companies and none of them could really give me any design recommendations. There was one company we almost went with but they just seemed too busy to answer our questions whenever we came into the store. Then we found Trina with Floors etc. Right when you walk in the door she and her staff welcome you as if you were guests in their home. Trina patiently sat down with us many times and helped us make up our minds on the style that would suit our home after viewing pictures of it. She knew that we wanted the work done asap so we could move in and she fit us into her schedule quickly. Another bonus was that she knew what our budget was and worked very hard to stay within that. The job was a pretty big one, but her crew finished it in a timely fashion. There was a little hiccup in the beginning though, remember how we wanted to leave the carpet in the guest rooms? Well, the crew accidentally ripped it out. Not only did they quickly replace it, but they replaced it with brand new carpet and padding for free! I'm rewriting my review that was lost trying to post it. I just want to say. Trina at Floors Ect... kept her word when she said we'll make your house look beautiful. If I could give her more Stars I wouldn't hesitate. From start to finish she was in contact with me wanting to know if Ixwas happy. Let me say this, if you've been all over town looking for the right flooring, and investigating who will do the work and how good are they???? Trina reassured me she had a crew of men what did exceptional work. After going over every detail of my project for them I still was not sure after not finding the light color vinyl I wanted. Amazingly Trina pulled out a sample and it was the one!!! I cannot tell you how happy I was to finally know I found what I was looking for and knew without a doubt I didn't need to lugg it home like I did at so many stores just to pile samples back in the car and return. I said that's it, let's do it! All I can say is if you think these big box stores are reliable and will do a great job you're sadly mistaken. I know God directed me to her knowing how important this change in my house meant to me to be perfect. This was my dear Dad's home and I'm now living there. It was difficult for me to change anything from how he had it. But I can tell you though his house is beautiful it is now far prettier than it was. Trina is not only a truthful person when she says we'll make it beautiful for you, but she is honest. Something you don't find often when you're trying to hire for work to be done. Anyone can sell you carpet, wood, tile, etc. Here is what made Floors, Etc. so terrific through separate, massive home and office renovations. 1. Rather than being a salesperson with tidbits of design advice, Trina (the owner) is a designer first, who happens to be able to also sell the material you need (with fantastic pricing). 2. Trina listens and responds to your design preferences. You won't be fed a design (unless that's what you want). If you have specific tastes, as I do, Trina will support that and search beyond her own inventory to find exactly what you want. 3. Trina hates bad design. To a consumer, that is a tremendous advantage. Trina recently offered some gentle advice about my paint choices. She then spent two hours helping me identify the perfect paint for my project. Again, this is paint. They doesn't sell paint. They make no money from that type of service. However, Trina will make sure that she does everything possible to help you love your space. That is truly exceptional. 4. I spent weeks searching for an "exotic" tile that is made abroad. I called the manufacturer, wholesaler, and numerous retailers. All said the tile was not available in the finish/dimensions I needed, and would take months to arrive. Trina found it in two days. 5. Working directly with a business owner offers so many advantages. Renovations are full of curveballs, and a 9 to 5 employee in some chain is simply not in a position to be responsive to challenges as they arise. I highly recommend Trina's business! First of all she's not only a women entrepreneur but she's talented in her craft! When I hesitated about the style and color of the carpet I wanted in my bedrooms, she asked probing questions about my decor and since I'd told her I was getting the interior painted, I showed her paper samples of what the colors would be. We came down to 2 colors and I placed my order the same day! She did tell me about the turn around time since the carpet ships from the east coast...I was totally cool with that. The painting would be done in a couple days..no rush. Well the interior colors came out slightly different shade than I anticipated. I was panicking and on the edge of tears. i texted Trina very late at night about my concerns with the carpet VS interior. She was very responsive and I didn't expect it as people usually cater to clients during business hours only. But she was fabulous!! She reassured me everything would be okay and she stopped shipment (luckily it hadn't left the shipping dock!) She saw me the next day and we chose a new color. About 10 days later, I had my beautiful carpet installed. Since I couldn't take time off work to let the install crew in, Trina waited for me after work to give her my keys. She did this both before and after installation. The installation crew are professionals ! They clean after themselves and the product laid down nicely. Check the photos out for yourself ! LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS COMPANY!! My husband and I were looking to buy new floors and had been researching companies for months (My husband is very particular). I saw Jacquie O's review here, but decided to give them a try after I read Trina's (one of the owners of Floors Etc) review and she substantiated everything. Based on all the reviews for various companies Jacquie O has posted on Yelp - I don't believe her claims!! Especially after reading the owner's response! BUT I AM SO GLAD I CAME TO FLOORS ETC!!! We had bids from two other companies and my husband swore up and down that they were both over priced, so we brought the bids to Floors Etc and they worked their magic! We got exactly the flooring that we wanted for nearly 1/3 of the price!!!! Not only that, but Trina and Malissa took the time to go through every single detail of our flooring. They helped us pick our wood, tile, carpet, grout, and even paint to complete our dream home. THERE'S NOTHING THESE TWO LADIES CANNOT DO!!! They were with us every step of the way, calling with status updates and probably the fastest install I've ever seen!! My mother's house is smaller than ours and she had a company in Washington that took six weeks to do the same amount of work, while mine only took two weeks!! It was do to the bad weather back east at the mill that had everything shut down for awhile. I was a truck driver and understand completely. They were here on time and installed the carpet very professionally. We had laminated floors ripped up by a person who was very professional as he made it look too easy. He did the area in about 2 hrs. The carpet people installed the carpet in about 4 and a half hrs. Was very impressed with their work. I rescheduled the work to be done after the new yr. Recently, I visited 11 Flooring Stores throughout Las Vegas & surrounding areas. It was a nightmare until I walked into Floors Etc. WOW...What a showroom! Needing a whole house remodel we didn't know where to begin or how to go about doing things. I was recommended to Trina and I am so glad we found this place! Not only did Trina take the time to lay out a plan, but she designed the whole thing. Her show room has so many options to find that perfect look. She also stayed on budget and was timely with installations (even during covid). She has an amazing eye for detail and is extremely helpful. I would like to Thank Trina and her team from Floors Etc for the excellent job they did on our property. I was looking for someone to help me replace the flooring on the house and was calling a few service providers in the LV area. Of all the stores I called, Trina was the only one that called back promptly and actually discussed my needs. She has extensive experience in the area and so was her insights are valuable. Because I was not able to travel to LV, all our communication was through phone calls, emails and text. She helped me choose the appropriate waterproof vinyl plank that would work throughout the house. (Good thing she did as my original choice would have been disastrous given the color scheme of the cabinetry and countertop!) Floors Ect. was a find my husband found initially just driving by. Being from Chicago we had moved to Las Vegas and needed work done in our condo. Floors Etc did an excellent job! I'm an out of state, real estate investor/architect so I value quality and cost. I hired Floors Etc (referred by my property manager) to replace my tenant's old carpet with vinyl plank flooring for its durability and aesthetics. I worked with Trina directly who I highly recommend since she has an eye for picking appropriate wood grain prints. She's very enthusiastic, knowledgeable and will compose and photograph finish options based on the homes existing, prominent interior finishes.
