Great customer service - they'll hand you water, you get a little massage and it's actually good. You get a punch card for going multiple times. They are also just very nice. Not over-priced. This place really tried to hose me and my friend down. My manicure was fine, but we tried to use the 20% off check-in discount and my manicure ended up costing a lot more Than I was quoted on the phone, They said a gel Mani was $35, and I ended up spending $34 with the 20% off coupon, then they charge a 5% fee for using a credit card, and they kept pushing us to give a 20% tip. I will not be going back to this place ever again, they left a really bad impression, their prices are a rip off, Not to mention how rude they were at the end. read more

They did a good job on my nails, but friend and I tried to use the 20% off discount on Yelp, and they charged us MORE than the normal cost of services because we wanted to cash in on the discount. Then they got mad at us because they didn't feel we tipped enough. Also overcharged my friend for soaking off polish. I won't be coming back. read more

Amidst a chaotic few days of getting errands done the week before my wedding, I decided to do a quick and easy eyebrow + lip wax at my local nail salon for the convenience. I have had eyebrow waxes here before, which were fine. This time, I let the technician know my wedding was in 5 days and that I just needed a light clean up. She acknowledged and proceeded to glob extraneous amount of lukewarm wax to my brows and waxed them. She moved on to the upper lip and again added twice the amount of wax I've ever encountered and ripped. She then smeared the wax onto my cheek and began waxing there. I am acne prone, use retinol and do not wax my face for fear of breakouts. Had she told me she planned to wax my face I would have been able to stop her but it was too late. After 2 days of swelling and heat bumps, I'm now left with irritation, born bumps and acne breakouts on both jaw lines. I have 2 scar burns intermixed into the reaction as well, all of which will be coming with me to my rehearsal dinner and wedding. I would not recommend this salon and will not be returning due to the inexperience of their technicians. read more

Made an appointment here a week ago. When it came time to go to my appointment for my facial/massage I was very excited. I called the number on their website to confirm my appointment and verify their location, because I just wanted to get in an uber and go from there. A really confused man picked up the phone and answered "spa". I think that was all the English he knew. So when I was trying to confirm my appointment, he couldnt tell me. I asked him to put me on the phone with someone else which was not happening. So I just took it as a sign that I should go somewhere else. Went to benefit brow and beauty bar instead and felt amazing. After the terrible phone customer service here, I wouldnt try going again for a while. read more

I have lived in the neighborhood for over 7 years and have alway avoided writing a review despite inconsistent services but unfortunately today's experience has sealed the deal. I had an appointment at 5 pm when I got there I was told there was a 40 minute wait, once it was established that I had an appointment I was told to wait a minute, then told to sit down. One technician started to remove nail polish from 2 nails, then switched me to another technician where I had to reiterate what services I was signed up to receive. Not the best start to the service but I went with it. As the technician was about to start my pedicure the owner asked if I would switch to another chair and another room, I wasn't thrilled but I did. In the other/back room the technician had to set up a surface for the gel manicure machine, when I stated that I didn't think the surface was sturdy enough at this point I am gripping the surface with my feet she apologize but was going to start the service. I nicely said I don't think this is going to work and said I'd come back. As I was attempting to leave the owner said that's okay can you go back to your original chair the customer I moved you for left. I smiled and said that's okay can I just pay you for the removal of nail polish from two toenails but she wouldn't let me go, she kept saying it's okay sit down. After 5 minutes of me gracefully declining I then asked what I owed and she say $35 to which I reply that's a lot of money all the technician did was file my nails. To which she responded okay give me $27 which I paid but to say I feel like I've been robbed is an understatement. So after 7 years of giving the benefit of the doubt, several failed manicures (lumpy an hour after leaving, or chipping after 1 day) I am officially done with Flora nails. read more

Couldn't be happier with my visit here - they really took care of me. They learned my name and called me by it, they suggested a color for my gel manicure which I ended up loving, and also assuaged my fears of gel manicures after my first (what I thought to be my last) experience getting one over a year ago and getting my nails filed down and ruined. They offer chair massages while getting your mani which is even better than it sounds! The massages are wonderful - and they even gave me 10% off for being a first time customer and a full size tube of green tea lotion as a gift. My gel manicure lasted a full two weeks with just one tiny chip to the side of one of the thumbs (and trust me, I abuse the crap out of my nails and being a nurse, wash my hands about two hundred times a day). And yes, they also do punch cards. I feel they could charge way more given the quality of their work and their location. The best sign was that there were two other ladies they were so sweet to and called by name as well - one of them brought cookies for them to show her appreciation. read more

I have had a good experience here for my simple pedicures and a great deep tissue massage from Tony. Unfortunately though I came in for another massage today and Tony was not there so I got David. He's not good. I'm accustomed to painful sports massage because I have always been athletic, but this fella someohow made it painful without much therapeutic benefit. Sort of clumsy. I could have forgiven all that, but his fingernails were long enough to scrape me the entire time. I feel like I've been through a cat fight. massage therapists should ALWAYS have short nails! The staff is very nice, but due to this experience and their more recent attempts to upsell me facials and fancy nail treatments, I won't be coming back. Sorry! read more

Kesu and David run a very good business. The aestheticians are good and they are very accommodating. The salon and bathroom are clean and pleasant. On rare occasions (maybe one in ten) a customer will be on her cell phone despite a sign which says no phone calls while others are having treatments. It would be nice if the workers enforced this rule because such inconsiderate people should not be on a phone in a spa. read more

Worst mani pedi experience. I'm appalled. I didn't even get a real tub for my pedicure- it was a plastic bucket filled with hot water from the sink. I was asked several times about adding on massages or extras and when I politely declined, the woman went from unfriendly to scowling mad. I got a two-second massage on my feet. She moved on to my manicure while I was still in the makeshift pedicure seat, meaning there was no place for me to even rest my arms. I had to hold my arm up and she quickly painted my fingers as she stood there. There was no cuticle removal and the skin around my nails is still a mess. No basecoat was used and it looks like I painted my nails myself. WORST OF ALL - she asked me to tip her before she even painted my fingers. I always pay before the job is complete but how am I supposed to know what to tip before I've seen how it turns out? So rude and overpriced. read more

I love this salon and I think the staff are excellent and very welcoming but I went in last week to get a mani/ pedi and another client spent the entire time on her cell. It was totally obnoxious and really not relaxing so I really wish Flora Nails would install a "no cell phone" policy or at least a sign saying "please limit your phone conversations to five minutes" for the sake of all their customers!! read more

I received a fantastic facial from Lana. She assesses your skin and provides services accordingly. I received microderm abrasion and it was wonderful! Lots of massage during the facial, very relaxing, and the result was incredible. I live in the neighborhood but was loyal for years to another salon and spa for my mani/pedi/massage needs until - well, whatever. I turned to Flora who I had heard so much praise from before. I walked in on a late Sunday night and they were more than willing to book me for a much-needed hour long massage, deep tissue. Except it was a little too rough. And the whole process felt rushed. I hate to say it, but it was maybe the most unrelaxing massage I've ever had. The timer near my ear muffled any soothing music that played in the backdrop. And the masseuse kept bumping into the chair on the floor which only made things feel more harried. Not what you want when trying to forget about all kinds of stressors - like how I just threw $100 bucks away on a physically and emotionally painful experience.
