We came for a nice dinner before we headed to our flight at LAX nearby. It took forever for us to get properly served, though. The service was incredibly slow and the kitchen was even slower. I'm not sure if the server we had was the only one working that day or if it was because we looked different from the rest of their "demographic" that our server had no issue being timely with. There were times where our server even ignored us as we tried to get her attention. She never checked on us, and we were getting upset because we had no water for over thirty minutes. Despite this, I must say the food was very delicious and their drinks were strong but still pretty good. The ambiance is nice, as you overlook Los Angeles. Our heater broke during the dinner so we got freezing toward the end. Overall, a very interesting experience but the food is good, just takes a very long time.

We had some time before the Nine Inch Nails concert and decided to check this place out, as we favor rooftop bars/lounges. Flora is located on top of the AC Marriott Hotel. It wasn't too busy when we got there, which was great. We decided to sit outside, the weather was great. We started off with a couple cocktails that our very friendly and energetic bartenders mixed to perfection. I had been wanting to try the charcuterie, and it certainly did not disappoint. It was such a generous portion we could have settled for just that, but felt adventurous and ordered the wings and truffle fries. Food was delicious, service was excellent. Will definitely be back.

Loud but fast service! The salad is really good sized and breast grilled and juicy... impressed walnuts raisins The 1st floor kitchen was closed for a special event and just looking for a light bite for dinner. The view would be great if not so cold tonight but fires going and great atmosphere

Great spot to hang out and enjoy the atmosphere. Food: The food is okay, it's mostly basic flavors but it works for the environment. The downfall is the menu because it's a QR Code which is fine but the QR Code is sooooo tiny and hidden on a miniature plant pot you end up asking for it. The drink selection is also limited unfortunately so keep ot simple. Service: The staff was great. Our waiter was super nice and checked on us. We didn't see a lot of staff around but they did a great job. Atmosphere: It's a cool vibe, super chill, definitely not a dress up location and the flames and heaters came through because it was cold but we never felt the cold weather. The layout is nice and it has plenty of seating areas for privacy and personal conversations. You can also sit around the flames which is really nice as well. Location: It's located in El Segundo at 2130 E. Maple Ave. At the A/C hotel. Price: It's average nothing is too expensive we had drinks and food all night for a big group and we stayed about 3 hours and it wasn't bad at all.

This rooftop is a vibe! If I were local I'd be visiting often. The cabanas with fireplaces are cozy, the menu is limited but tastes exceptional and the music is flawless. Easily the best, most chill hotel rooftop I've been to. We went when they first opened for brunch & it was a family friendly environment. The service & views are great, our waiter was very attentive & provided great recommendations. They have heat lamps making it a good option even on chilly days. If sitting outside isn't your thing, they have indoor seating available. We ate family style & enjoyed it! My sister & I had mango & cranberry bottomless mimosas. For food, we ate charcuterie, garlic Parmesan wings & flora fries. The charcuterie had great variety, the wings were flavorful & crispy, and the french fries were topped with yummy herbs & Parmesan cheese.

I stumbled upon Flora on a work trip. It was great ambiance and loved the music. The happy hour was decent portions. The alcoholic drinks my friend said were tasty and I enjoyed their mocktails as well. We enjoyed the hummus and truffle fries. It was foggy and cold when we went but the fire place warmed us up fast. The service was quick :)

Overall rating: average Ambience was nice with the fire pits and long fireplace and rooftop aesthetics. Service was lacking in the sense that no one introduced themselves by their name and did not follow through with their word. This happened 3 separate times with 3 different servers. They checked in on how we're doing after we finished our food and drinks. Drinks were solid. LOVE their NA menu!! Mushrooms tacos were basically naked - double tortilla wraps with mushrooms in it and a side of tortilla chips from Ralph's. Beef sliders and fries were good. Pumpkin olive oil cake was fine. Nothing special. TLDR - this is a spot for group social hour or simple date, not dinner.

First time here and we had a great experience. Date night with an ex is always fun when you both are trying something new. I selected this location and was hopeful it wouldn't be a flop. It wasn't - let's jump right into this review. What did we have? Strawberry Salad with protein (chicken) - $18 - The salad included spinach, candid walnuts, goat cheese, and chicken served with a side of warm strawberry vinegarette. I like that the dressing was not cold. I also appreciated the salad not being tossed in the dressing but placed on the side. Carne Asada Tacos (3) - $26 - Boo said they were delicious, extremely flavorful and the meat was tender. **substitutions are allowed** Pros 1. Rooftop area is beautiful with panoramic views. 2. Cabana areas with individual fire pits. One large fire pit that is the centerpiece of bar seating on both sides. Beautiful to see and dine next to. 2. Food was delicious. 3. Service was great. Very attentive staff. 4. The atmosphere is a vibe - dig it! Modern and chic decor. *Date night. Boys night. Girls night. Birthday.* Flora is perfect for many occasions or no specific occasion at all. Cons 1. The indoor area had a smell to it. Wasn't pleasant but we sat outside so it wasn't an issue for us. Just making a note right here about it. 2. Limited menu. Flora was a win all around. The beautiful view, warmth of the fire pit, great food, and attentive staff are reasons for you (the reader) to visit.

My husband and I had a fantastic time at Flora Rooftop's Valentine's Day soirée! The ambiance was stunning, cozy fire pit, great DJ, and amazing views. Our ticket included a glass of champagne, and the pre-fixe menu was tasty (loved the espresso martini!). The service was great, they answered all our questions & the roses & dessert gifted at the end were a sweet touch. I wait to return and try the full menu! Highly recommend for a night out at a low key spot with nice vibes.

I'm surprised to find such a hidden gem nearby LAX. I genuinely enjoyed the venue and all the food and drinks I ordered. Food: 1)Flora Fries (Fries with truffle oil, parmesan cheese, parsley, roasted garlic aioli): Highly recommended. We enjoyed this so much, we ordered another plate! 2)Guac and chips(Chips with Guacamole and Mango salsa): Great to share with a large group. 3)Rooftop burger: Ingredients were fresh, meat was juicy and tender, nicely seasoned. Simply Delicious! 4)Chicken wings: It's cooked to perfection and oh so flavorful. Just look at the picture! 5) Drink: I ordered one of the signature cocktail. It was good. Service : Excellent considering our large group. Our server Crystal was patient, friendly and efficient! Thank you Crystal! Ambiance : Lovely, romantic and not overcrowded. There was live music when I was there in the evening. Perfect place for a date/group hangout.

Have stayed at the AC multiple times, but had never made it to the roof. Finally was in town and able to grab a cocktail at sunset. Nice escape to grab a little sunshine. With the chill in the air, fire pit was nice (they had patio heaters, as well). There are fresh herbs planted around the edges of the patio. Had the Rose Gimlet: gin, lime, simple syrup. Not too sweet and not too bitter. Perfect cocktail. I lucked out and only a few other couples when I was there, so I'm unsure of how busy it gets. I think you can make reservations online.

First time at Flora with my homegirls after work on a Tuesday .And I must say I am impressed the pictures online did no justice! And I love a great place to take photos and this is definitely the place.... great vibes and smooth music...the shrimp very flavorful, the steak fries amazing and the drinks awesome... our waiter Analisa was awesome and I seen her working very hard with the other tables as well... I highly recommend this place.. will definitely be back!! read more

Had a great time with friends back in July. Great ambiance, the guy playing the guitar was awesome, service was great and the food was good. The only bad part was the drinks were SUPER overpriced for how big the glass was and how much ice they packed in it. We had so much fun though that we're now going to have our 40th high school reunion there. read more

Service was NOT good. Lots of attitude from a female server who has long ombré hair. They bring your drinks out one by one when we placed an order of 5 drink all together... three glasses or wine, a seltzer and a beer. It was not a busy night at all and it took 20 mins to receive my glass of wine. read more

Cool bar to visit if you are in the area (or work around here)! The bar was pretty easy to find and there is plentiful parking around the area at nearby businesses. I really liked all the plants in the area and there are some decent views of the surrounding buildings. The food and drinks were relatively decent but nothing to write home about (the bread is definitely worth a try). Prices also seemed pretty typical for your run-of-the-mill LA bar. Altogether, it's a decent place to chill with fellow friends or coworkers. I do wish their music selection was better though haha. read more

Cute little rooftop bar/restaurant. Definitely make a reservation, was staying in the hotel and was surprised how busy it gets. Once stayed there another time and was starving, and couldn't get a spot. Drinks were very good but wish the food menu was a bit bigger. A little limited but at least everything tasted good. Server was attentive and efficient. Would come back when we stay the hotel, just wish you could casually go up there to eat unplanned, instead of needing reservation. Or if hotel guests get a reservation exception would be nice. read more

Outdoor patio is nice, they had a DJ was playing good music. The bar area looks nice but has a foul smell. Service was sub par. There was no welcome feeling at the entrance, no direction on where to wait, a bit awkward. Server was not personable. The drink originally served was too bitter to enjoy, asked for another and server gave me a bad look. Replaced it for me, so I could appreciate that. However, food never came out, after almost an hour server came to ask if I wanted anything else, I said I was still waiting for my food. I had to ask for it to go and when it was brought out, I asked for my tab. The bill never came, server passed by me twice saying it was coming. I had to go to the register to ask for my bill to pay. Overall, unsatisfactory. Set your bar really low if you choose to visit this establishment. On another note, I have to give it to the food runner a young lady that appeared to be assisting, very pleasant and timely, she should be the server. read more

So first of all I love the newness I'm seeing in the el segundo area! This is the cutest little roof top lounge that can make for a great girls/date night! It's a little tricky on the service though! I'm not sure if they don't know how to adequately schedule for the weekend cause there are never enough servers just plenty of people running around looking like they don't know what it is they're doing. I feel bad even saying that cause I get things happen call outs or people shifts being cut due to slow knees buuuuut it took like 20 min to get or order for food and drinks even taken. The good news on that which balances it just a little is that the food and drinks are delish! I'd definitely recommend making a reservation before hand. The music and the vibe was nice with a DJ and herbs like real herbs in the planters that surround the rooftop. read more

We live a few minutes away and have been wanting to try this place since last year. Parking is a pain unless you are staying at the hotel or work nearby. Nice decor, love all of the plants and herbs in the various planters around the outdoor area. They have fairly small staff, so service can be slow. The view is great. Weather can be a bit hectic, as late afternoons in El Segundo gets a fairly strong sea-breeze, which seems magnified when you are up a few stories. Very nice selections of drinks, from craft cocktails, to great beer selection, to a very wide range of wines from all over the world. Only tried one food option, which was the Flora Fries, which were excellent. Will definitely go back for more. read more

Terrible experience! I wish i could leave zero stars ! Waitress Jessica was extremely rude and careless ! Complained to her to the "manager" days later the are charging my credit card for the 270 i already paid serval times ! I filed a police because this is beyond ridiculous and it's no way it's by mistake ! They don't answer their phones ! Save yourself a headache and don't go here read more

The staff members were friendly, and we greatly enjoyed the food (e.g. vegan burger, protein bowl, rose gimlet) and garden-themed decor. The menu didn't load well when trying to view the pdf due to our cell phone connectivity until we joined the hotel's wifi. read more

I visited the restaurant about a week ago and I totally recommend! Food was delicious the view was pretty cool being able to see the airplanes from a distance. Very clean and good customer service! My first time there and I was a disappointed. Crystal our waitress made comments that we took a personal. As we order drinks she mentioned a few names of tequila that we weren't familiar with, she didn't bother to mention they only served organic drinks. So according to her she served us with the finest mezcal and it was not to our liking. When I asked her why was that their finest she seemed a lil upset and said "we only serve high end, quality here, we don't offer patron", not sure what she meant by that. We took it offensively, I guess she assumed we didn't have an idea of what higher end drinks taste like, and what we drink is "patron". Although she then replaced the "high end" mezcal with a different brand tequila, she did say for us to keep it. Not sure if she though we wanted free drinks. Why would I keep a drink I didn't like? So I said no is ok take it. I did like their protein salad, that was tasty. read more

If i could i'll leave a negative rating i would have, i have booked a reservation for my mom and my family for dinner at this place. Coming from sherman oaks driving all the way here just to find out that they have canceled our reservation WITHOUT NOTICE, no call or even email. How disappointing this can be on the mother's day weekend? Communication is very bad in this place, to top it we have spoken to the manager Bridget and offered us a patio dining instead, when we decided to get on this we have found out that they don't even serve food, even more disappointing. NEVER COMING BACK IN THIS PLACE EVER. read more

John and Crystal are amazing! They are super accommodating and professional, my date and I enjoyed every drink and appetizer that we ordered. Overall, I am glad we went to Flora for the first time. We will definitely be back to enjoy more of the rooftop view and their live music! read more

Reserved a table for my roommate's birthday and couldn't have asked for a more beautiful restaurant! The setting is absolutely gorgeous and our server was so attentive. The cocktails and food is a bit overpriced for what you get, but I guess you come here for the atmosphere. We tried the sliders, banh mi, steak frites, and rosemary bread. They were decent, but nothing special. Would come back for a romantic date night. read more

We were denied a reservation. Sadly, we will have to go to another venue since they will not hold an outside table. I was just told it's 105 outside so you'll be able to grab something. The sarcasm behind the person answering the phone was astonishing. I do not have time for my team to sit and wait as it was going to be a work social event/happy hour. I needed confirmation an outside table would be held for this as some staff are still worried about Covid. How hard is that? read more

Nice or drinks, convo and light appetizers. The chicken pesto pizza is very yummy. The Friday we went, a dreamy guy was singing and playing the guitar. The vibe was very cool. Will go back for sure. The chairs around the fire put are somewhat uncomfortable so I took a star away for that. Also u can not sit on the lounge chairs unless you have a group of 4 or more and reserve the area. Bummer as those chairs had better butt cushions. We made it work anyway. read more

This rooftop bar is super chic. They have a DJ fantastic ambience and really great drinks. The bar was absolutely packed when we got up here which I've never seen before in a hotel bar this large. They have a 36 ft long fire pit with seating for five couples on each side and many alcoves and cool places with their own heaters as well. This hotel is definitely worth staying at is close to LAX and less than 10 minutes from the beach read more

They are about $8, but so worth it. They have an Indian Kale Salad which is vegan and amazing. It has chopped kale, julienned red and gold beets, shredded carrots, pearl barley and a lovely curried beet vinaigrette. All of their steaks are great, but our favorite is the Porterhouse, which is expensive but great for sharing. Their ribeye is also super good. Everything else is a side and they have great ones. We ordered the charcuterie board, beef sliders, mahi mahi tacos, and grilled chicken with fries for my kid. Drinks came very late, and the orange juice for my kid was strangely sour. I had to ask the server about the food, and they said the kitchen was super busy. I asked if they could bring the kid's meal first, which they did. The view and vibe of this rooftop bar is great. Service is slow even though we booked ahead, but servers were polite and friendly. Plenty of parking which is great. Lots of great choices with food. read more

Worst racist bar ever. They will give your your bill way before any white folks .. it's hilarious and sad... your talk to the WHITE MANAGER and they do Nothing about it. read more
