At one point started limping bc she caught a sand bur in between her toes! :( be prepared for dirty paws.

I went to Liberty Park for my cousin's son's first birthday party, a big event with catering and…read moredecorations and about a hundred Koreans. They took over a giant covered outdoor area with a ton of picnic tables, clean and open and perfect for a large party (I assume they had to rent this). I've been to a lot of parks over the years, and most of them don't have comparable event spaces. The one disadvantage was that we were far away from the playground, much to the chagrin of my three-year-old, who kept demanding to leave the party in favor of the play structure he saw in the distance. Liberty Park is just a huge place with several different zones. We even switched parking lots once we got there and figured out where the actual party was, on the Camp Liberty side of the park. The party was really nice, pleasant and relaxing. We had lunch, watched the dohl ceremonies (he grabbed the stethoscope, securing his future as a doctor), took pictures, and hung out with family. Then, because I'm not a monster, I took my boy to the playground. It was a great playground, well maintained and pretty quiet on a Saturday afternoon. Fewer kids, in fact, than teenagers working out and playing loud music nearby. I'm not complaining. In fact, my child was fascinated by their music and got as much entertainment from their speakers as he did from the play structure. I don't live anywhere near Cerritos, but if I did, I'd make good use of Liberty Park. What a lovely neighborhood resource, for both special events and everyday recreation.

I forget exactly. When I run to the restroom from the tennis/pickleball area, which looks exactly like your average park restroom. I see people on the playground and other pickleball courts (3 in the middle) (2 on side). The track is crowded too! The parking does get full in the evening so you may need to park on the street.

We have been having issues with burrs in our backyard getting stuck in her curly fur (she is a goldendoodle) and he took care of that for me. Now we are set for the summer, and I don't have to worry about digging out burrs on a daily basis. This service makes it so convenient for our family. Plus: Convenient, knows what he is doing, reasonable cost Cons: can't think of any.

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Josh as Daisy's trainer, and we truly cannot say enough wonderful things about him. Josh was not just a dog trainer to us--he became someone we trusted, someone who understood our family, and someone who genuinely cared about Daisy and her success. From our very first session, Josh took the time to truly understand Daisy. He learned her personality, her behaviors, her challenges, and our family's concerns. He never judged us or made us feel like Daisy was a "bad dog." Instead, he was patient, compassionate, knowledgeable, and encouraging. He made us feel like we were finally on the right path. Having Josh come to our home made such a huge difference. He was able to work with Daisy in the environment where she actually lives and help us learn how to handle situations as a family. He didn't just train Daisy he trained and educated us as her family too. He always listened to our concerns, answered our questions, and made sure we understood what we could do at home to continue helping her. After only FOUR sessions with Josh, we saw an incredible difference in Daisy. She learned so much in such a short amount of time. Most importantly, she was finally able to coexist with our 3-year-old child and 7-year-old child in a way that we had struggled to achieve before. Now our children love Daisy, they play with her, and we are able to see them building a bond with her. Watching that transformation has meant so much to our family. Josh cared about Daisy like she was more than just another dog he was assigned to train. He genuinely celebrated her progress, understood when she was struggling, and always treated her with patience and kindness. You could tell that he truly cared about both Daisy and our family. We felt comfortable with him, we trusted him, and Daisy trusted him--and that trust is incredibly important when working with a rescue dog. Unfortunately, after our fourth session, we were informed that the company had decided to cut their Dog training program and that Josh would no longer be able to continue training Daisy. We were honestly extremely upset and disappointed. I feel that the company should have allowed us to complete the remaining six sessions of Daisy's training with Josh. We had finally found someone who was willing to understand Daisy, work with her, and help our family. It took a lot for us to get to this point, and stopping her training halfway through felt incredibly discouraging, leaving us out of the dark and what we were going to do next. By that point, we had built a relationship with Josh, and Daisy had built a relationship with him as well. Starting over with someone new after finally finding someone we trusted was very difficult for us. We wish the company had taken that relationship and Daisy's specific circumstances into consideration before making the decision to stop her training with Josh. The most frustrating part is that we were finally seeing the results we had been hoping and working so hard for. Daisy was learning. Our children were becoming comfortable with her. Our family was learning how to better communicate with and understand her. And Josh had become an important part of that progress. Although Daisy's training with Josh has unfortunately stopped, we are incredibly grateful for everything he accomplished with her in just four sessions. He gave Daisy a chance to succeed, and he gave our family confidence that we could help her become the happy, well-adjusted dog we knew she could be. Josh is truly an amazing trainer and an incredible person. His patience, compassion, knowledge, and genuine care for the animals and families he works with are very special. We just wish Doggieland had allowed us to complete the remaining six sessions with Josh. After everything our family and Daisy had been through, we finally found someone who understood her and helped her thrive. Four sessions made such a tremendous difference in our family's life, and we can only imagine how much more progress Daisy could have made if she had been able to finish the full program with Josh. I've been on a mission this year to visit as many different parks in the area as you never know where the hidden gems are located even in your neighborhood. This is one such, but of the bad variety, at least for me. I went on a Monday wanting to explore the surrounding area. That day, I wanted to stop by this park as well as nearby Ramona Park. Though the two parks are just a mile apart, the other park is in Long Beach while this one is in Bellflower, specifically on the western side of Lakewood Blvd between Cedar and Rose, directly across from Norms. It's an unstaffed neighborhood park, so there's no dedicated parking lot. If you've just eaten at Norms and want to walk off the calories, this might be a good place to go for a quick walk. Just don't do it when there are dogs around. I parked on Rose St by the south entrance. There's a green fence on either end of the park that may give off the impression of an inaccessible park, but there will be an open door in the middle of the fence. What is there at the park? Nothing but two transmission towers and a walkway. And on my visit, a dog that chased after me. I've been chased by dogs in my younger days, and it was never a fun experience not knowing what these dogs could do to you. I've never owned a dog, and I try to stay far from dogs. But this one approached me and tried to attack me. I heard the owner try and call the dog back, and it was *almost* too late. I say almost because I felt the dog's tooth on my finger, and I got so lucky the dog didn't bite my finger. Even more lucky that dog was just a small one, but man was that scary! The dog owner apologized, and I continued my leisurely walk northbound. On the north end of the park, I saw a sign that prohibited dogs at the park. Yet since this is more of an unstaffed neighborhood parkette, there's nobody to enforce that. Not only that, but the way the sign is placed, you can't see it from the outside, so if you don't know that rule, you won't know you're breaking it until you actually enter the park. I find it difficult to give parks a fair rating on this review platform, but had that dog actually bitten me, I would have given 1 star instead of 2. As much as I enjoy parks, my visit to this one has now made me more anxious when I see dogs without leashes at a park. There's nothing else here besides the walkway and transmission towers. No sporting activities, no playground, not even a picnic table. Ramona Park nearby has all of those. I'd only go here if you want to take a quick walk, and you happen to be within walking distance.

I was trying to decide if I should give this park only 1 star, but since it was relatively safe even in the early evening, despite the two guys who were sitting against the shared wall with the liquor store parking lot drinking out of their paper bags, I decided I'd give it two stars. It wasn't tagged up, there weren't any juvenile delinquents, and there was plenty of parking. There were also plenty of empty cans of 40s laying right around the playground equipment, which kind of sucks. I kicked an empty "vodka martini" can right off of the top of the slide. It's a small neighborhood park, but there isn't anything there besides a playground structure and some grass. There's a swing set with one baby swing and one kid swing. I should have known not to come here when it's 6pm out on a nice summer night and no one is here. The neighborhood kids ride through on their bikes, but it's pretty desolate otherwise.
