Dry brined w/ Kosher Salt for 8 hrs & simply char-grilled. I like to remove it from the bone, slice it thinly & set it on some Apple Sauce.

As a professional chef who has worked on 3 continents, and now works as a private chef in NYC, I shop at Florence Market for the best quality meats, especially pork products and Newport Steaks. Although the shop has changed hands, the level of knowledge, dedication to service, and top quality remains the same because the new owner has worked there for decades. The shop itself has been there for 85+ years, and I for one enjoy the nostalgia that comes with shopping in a small family owned establishment in the Village. The personal touch is always appreciated when it comes to service. Best of luck to the new owners, thanks for keeping this iconic NYC landmark up and running and true to its history, and I'll see you the next time I need perfect pork chops or steaks to serve my family and friends.

We were reuniting with a friend we hadn't seen in nearly a decade and we couldn't have picked a better spot to catch up. Two bottles of white later we nearly finished the butter service and enjoyed some escargot and their steak frites. We threw in a chopped salad and finished it off with their caramel dessert that somewhat resembled a tiramisu. Upon lifting the cylinder sleeve the delicious and light caramel sauce pours over the cake with crunch chocolate nibs sprinkled on top. Looking forward to trying their dinner menu when we visit again.

Food: I got the burger and it was indeed a hit cause Im not a big fan of red Cabbage. However when I tried it, I love the taste it brings to the meat and cheese. We walked down to the lower level of the market and found a space that felt more like a neighborhood butcher and farmstand than the surrounding food vendors, with display cases filled with different cuts of meat, sausages, charcuterie, and prepared items. The room had a practical, welcoming energy with a layout that accommodated both quick stops and slightly longer visits, and the combination of a working butcher counter and a hot food menu made it feel like a place where we could either grab a meal or take something home to cook. The hot dog was the standout item for us. We ordered one and found it with a great snap when biting into it, the casing giving way to a firm texture and a flavor that tasted noticeably different from a typical processed hot dog. The size was generous, filling the bun well without feeling overwhelming, and the toppings like onions and sauerkraut added a nice contrast. It was the type of simple item where the quality of the ingredients made the difference, and the preparation felt intentional without trying to overcomplicate the dish. Beyond the hot dog, the menu offered a variety of meat-focused options including burgers, brisket sandwiches, pastrami, roasted chicken, and charcuterie. The burger was another strong choice, keeping things simple while letting the quality of the meat stand out. We also appreciated that the shop gave us the option to explore different cuts and specialty products, making it easy to pick up something unique whether we were eating there or bringing something home. The atmosphere fit well with Chelsea Market's busy energy. Seating could be limited depending on how crowded the market was, so it was better suited for a casual meal rather than a long dining experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the service moved quickly despite the constant flow of people walking through the market. The team handled the steady stream of customers with efficiency, and the food came out hot and well assembled. Overall, Dickson's Farmstand Meats is a great stop for anyone who appreciates well-made meat dishes and quality ingredients. The hot dog alone makes it worth visiting, but the variety of butcher shop offerings and prepared foods give plenty of reasons to return. It feels like a place that combines the experience of a traditional butcher shop with the convenience of a popular NYC food destination.

It was empty when we visited during dinner time and the restaurant was not quite new so I had to admit I was a bit worried. However, our server was amazing and guided us through what to order. My family was visiting NY so I had my two kids with me. The set menu was per person but seeing my children, the server accommodated us by allowing us to order a set meal for two and not requiring us to order full sets for our two children as well. We ordered the Chef's Tasting menu as recommended. This came with plentiful of sides dishes, a scallion salad, a scallion pancake, and a choice of stew. The pancake was very thin and crispy. I think I am used to denser pancakes. The egg soufflé was delicious, much more flavorful than others I have tried. This set came with three cuts of pork. My favorite two were the pork jowl and pork belly. We also ordered a side of corn cheese, which is always a favorite for the kids. My husband accidentally ordered a pork noodle thinking it was something else. There was so much food that we couldn't finish, so the pork noodle was not memorable as a result. The fresh rice wine was a must for us when having Korean BBQ. That and the complimentary soft served ice cream at the end was the highlight of the meal for me. I think the soft served ice cream was topped with a pineapple syrup, but I am not certain. I still think about the ice cream now that I am back home from my NYC trip. Overall . an amazing restaurant with great service and great food. See my pictures.

When we pulled up to the restaurant, we were informed there were a few levels. We went to the second floor and they were happy to accommodate us. We were rolling 6 deep and the booth was enough for us, but barely. In our party, majority of us wanted meat with the exception of 2 people only wanting shrimp and something else. We got the large beef combination platter which comes with ribeye, thin skirt, brisket, marinated kalbi, and marinated chuck flap. Most people stuck with water, while a couple got ginger ale. I ordered the soju flight but I ended up not liking it so my cousins shared it. The meal comes with different veggies as well as your choice of soup. We got the spicy tofu and split it 6 ways. The spice lived up to its name, so I didn't eat very much. The best part was meat. Despite there being 6 of us, there was plenty to go around. I think you have the option to cook it yourself or have them cook it for you and we chose the latter. While I enjoyed it, I wish there was more space. Most of the space was taken up by the accompaniments that come with it (veggies, etc), so there was hardly any room to put anything else. It didn't help that none of our dishes were cleared once we finished them and that no rice is included. Aside from that, both the food and service were great.

Their menu leans into fusion dishes with a nod to some of the classic home-style classics. Everything is presented with a refined, elevated touch. Here's what we ordered: ~ Tako Wasabi - 5/5 stars A fiery delight. This appetizer feartures chopped raw octopus marinated in wasabi. It has a lively zest from the wasabi and is topped with tobiko, which adds a pleasant contrast in texture. ~ Honey Makgeolli - 4/5 stars A traditional fermented Korean beverage that is light and pairs brilliantly with your meal. It is a cloudy alcholoic drink served in a metal teapot, and surprisingly, there is much more in that teapot than you would expect. It easily provides six to eight generous pours. The flavor is subtly sweet with a pleasant tang. ~ Temaki Set - 4/5 stars You can order a set of three by choosing from selections 1-17, or you can order a la carte at the listed prices. Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. It is well worth the price and makes for a fun, interactive dining experience with your family and friends. There is also various banchan offered and this time, they were beyond kind enough to offer refills. The last time we were here, we ordered just as much food and they stated they normally did not offer refills, which I thought was very odd. With its casual bougie aesthetics, this spot has quickly become one of my favorite eateries in Fort Lee-lee, It beautifully blends Korean, Japanese, and American flavors in a way that feels both comforting and elevated. Needless to say, we will be back!
