We ordered: 1. 30 day dry aged pork belly 2. 14 day dry aged pork collar 3. Soondubu Stew 4. Egg Souffle Both the pork belly and collar were tender but didn't wow us or make us forget the high price tag. No incredible pork flavor or juiciness or melt in your mouth fat. No complaints with soondubu Stew (packed with ingredients), egg Souffle, and banchan. We got a complimentary vanilla soft serve with mango sauce at the end and that was very tasty. Service was mixed. They were on top of cooking our meats but we never got kimchi refill after asking twice. Staff were nice. Tbh, ayce kbbq would've been a more worthwhile experience for our stomachs and wallets.

Omg, love. Had dinner here on our last night visiting NYC. Son was in the mood for Korean, and it was interesting to see how this compared to Korean food from CA. We ordered the tasting menu and the egg soufflé and stew were yummy, interesting flavor in the stew. I enjoyed the three different types of pork, and the garlic leaf. That was new for me, and soooo good wrapped around a juicy piece of pork. The only downside is I find their banchan kind of bland. It was alright but I wouldn't say the best, and not comparable to the rest of the meal. It was a cute restaurant, cozy inside, and able to get a table on a Monday evening.

Came here with a friend because I was craving samgyupsal, we opted for the pork slice from Spain instead of pork belly. It was really good, kind of unique flavor of pork. We also ordered the old kimchi noodles and soybean paste soup, both were excellent. Our server was nice and attentive. Also the ventilation in the place is pretty good because we both left not smelling like bbq. If you're looking for a good pork bbq place I recommend trying here!

love love this place! We found this place based on other Yelp reviews, thank you! The vibe here is awesome! The gentleman greeted us with a smile even though we didn't have a reservation. He made efforts to get us in without issues. First the meat is amazing quality! They serve kimchi pancakes as a small appetizer which was tasty! Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal leaving no food behind. All the servers are attentive and friendly. Special shoutout to manager June! He made sure we had a great experience and enjoyed our meal. I would highly recommend this place for the quality of food and vibe! Definitely make a reservation if you can.

This lovely Korean spot near my workplace serves authentic Korean dishes and BBQ. I came here for lunch and was blown away with their beef bulgogi over rice served with banchan. I also tried their Don Don beer, which is a light Pilsner that goes well with the food. They then gave me complimentary ice cream for dessert. I made a mental note to come back here for dinner for their Korean BBQ. Also, kudos to the friendly staff with their awesome customer service.

My partner and I had an amazing meal at Don Don!! We ended up ordering the Chefs Feast, which included a wide selection of bonchon, stew, noodles, and 5 different cuts of meats! Everything was delicious, would say our favorite meats were the marinated galbi, pork belly, and pork jowl. While we're both not stew people, we really enjoyed the stews as well. Even better than the food was the service. Everyone was soooo friendly and helpful, and the food was paced well too! We'll absolutely be coming back, and already looking forward to it!

I was pleasantly surprised by this little Korean restaurant. It combines regular kitchen food and bbq. The service is excellent. It friend is allergic to sesame and she had a hard time find a Korean restaurant that would tell her exactly wha she can order. But our waiter was very knowledgeable and pointed out her options. She loved this place very much! The foods are very inexpensive considering the location. And they even offer free ice cream! The only thing I would suggest is to have the menu with English translation so non Korean speakers will have an easier time understand the kitchen menu. But the waiter was very patient and tell us what the foods actually are!

Don Don pork has never disappointed. I normally go with the bulgogi over rice. The meat is tender and the banchan is just adequate. The wait staff is super friendly always offered me ice cream which I finally said yes to today and it sure did not disappoint. A cozy joint with surprisingly superb soft serve ice cream. Give it a try.

I hosted my birthday dinner here because I wanted fun casual vibes with amazing food, and that's exactly what we got! The restaurant staff are all so sweet and they took care of my group well. The table layout made it possible for us all to share food and talk to each other. We got the $49pp tasting menu with soondubu + doenjang stews & some a-la-carte dishes: - bibimbguksu - gochu ramyun Everything including the apps and the pork was great. There wasn't anything I disliked. They even brought out my cake and lit candles for me. We stayed for ~3 hours and never felt rushed. LOVED my time here.

This place is known for their pork barbecue meat, but we came for lunch and didn't want to smell like a grill after, so we got their bbq pork rice, and doenjang jigae. The service was prompt and the food was fresh. The doenjang stew was kind of small and had little inside the soup. The banchan was also limited unlike at other Korean restaurants. Luckily I ordered an egg soufflé. The pork on rice was good, but again the portion's kind of small for nearly $30.

Absolutely amazing service and food. We went at like 10pm and it was only be and my group of 5. It was quite and very clean. Our server told us last call would be in 30 mins since they close at 11pm. We started off just ordering a few dishes, but we ended up ordering a lot more cause we wanted to make sure we walked out full. Everything was delicious and they cook the meats for you! Our cook was very friendly and asked if we were Korean (we're not) and then showed up the Korean way to eat our meats. You honestly can't go wrong with any dish. Kimchi fried rice, pork bone noodle, egg souffle, boneless short ribs, pork jowl, bibibim. All delicious. I will say the kimchi stew kinda lacked in comparison of the other dishes. They also gave us complimentary green onion pancake and ice cream at the end of the meal. And I just want to emphasize how friendly everyone was and they made excellent suggestions for us to try. We're not from New York, but if we're ever back we would love to come again.

This Korean BBQ restaurant located near the Diamond District and Rockefeller Center is a hidden gem that transports you to a modern and vibrant restaurant with a menu of selective cuts and a variety of dishes while unwinding with a refreshing drink. For first-time goers specifically for a party of 2, I highly recommend ordering the Don Don Tasting Menu since they fill the table with side dishes and main dishes and keep bringing more. What stood out to me when ordering the Don Don Tasting Menu was that our server brought the 3 cuts of meat and explained each one and the order of cooking them. My favorite dish aside from the cuts of meat that were cooked, cut, and served perfectly, was the egg souffle which was hot (please do be cautious when taking the first bite), jiggly, and the ideal level of firmness with each bite. Another plus was when the server held the cutting board with the cuts of meat while I snapped a picture. Our server was very attentive in everything from start to finish especially when the restaurant started to get packed with more customers and larger parties. As for larger parties, I recommend ordering Chef's Feast which serves more cuts of meat, stew, noodles, and one more side dish. Overall, everything from their pre-set menu, to the lunch, or dinner menu will fill you up with their array of dishes. I was immersed in everything in the restaurant from the dishes and drinks. Even the decor from the neon lights and posters as well as Korean music playing truly set the mood to unwind while dining at this restaurant. It wrapped up with some soft serve ice cream which changed flavor since I saw a previous flavor was black sesame. But still quite delicious since there is always room for dessert. Bring a small group of friends and good vibes while unwinding at this Korean BBQ restaurant

I had to use my classpass credits so dined here before a Broadway show - usually classpass is to go, but they were nice enough to let me sit and eat. The Kimchi Fried Rice was good but a bit oily. The vibe inside is hip and casual and the servers are all nice - they even gave me an ice cream towards the end of my meal. I would like to come back to try their KBBQ one day!

The effortless tranquility encourages you to slow down, enjoy the food, and get away from the everyday, hubbub. Their menu leans into fusion dishes with a nod to some of the classic home-style classics. Everything is presented with a refined, elevated touch. Here's what we ordered: ~ Tako Wasabi - 5/5 stars A fiery delight. This appetizer feartures chopped raw octopus marinated in wasabi. It has a lively zest from the wasabi and is topped with tobiko, which adds a pleasant contrast in texture. ~ Honey Makgeolli - 4/5 stars A traditional fermented Korean beverage that is light and pairs brilliantly with your meal. It is a cloudy alcholoic drink served in a metal teapot, and surprisingly, there is much more in that teapot than you would expect. It easily provides six to eight generous pours. The flavor is subtly sweet with a pleasant tang. ~ Temaki Set - 4/5 stars You can order a set of three by choosing from selections 1-17, or you can order a la carte at the listed prices. Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. It is well worth the price and makes for a fun, interactive dining experience with your family and friends. There is also various banchan offered and this time, they were beyond kind enough to offer refills. The last time we were here, we ordered just as much food and they stated they normally did not offer refills, which I thought was very odd. With its casual bougie aesthetics, this spot has quickly become one of my favorite eateries in Fort Lee-lee, It beautifully blends Korean, Japanese, and American flavors in a way that feels both comforting and elevated. Needless to say, we will be back!

We walked into a stylish but relaxed space that feels suited for both casual dinners and a night out with friends, with an atmosphere that balances energy and comfort well. The room gets lively when it fills up, but the noise level adds to the experience rather than detracting from it, making it feel like a place built for sharing and conversation. The food is where Hojokban stands out. The complimentary banchan sets the tone for the meal with flavorful sides that add variety before the main dishes arrive, each one thoughtfully prepared and offering a different texture or flavor profile. The gomtang soup is one of the more comforting options, bringing together tender meat, a rich broth, and classic Korean flavors in a way that feels hearty without being overly heavy. The galbi dishes are also a highlight, with the meat cooked well and carrying the sweet and savory balance that makes Korean-style grilled beef so enjoyable. The portions are generous, and the quality of the ingredients is noticeable across the board. The menu has several unique dishes worth exploring. The truffle potato pancake is one of the more memorable items, combining a familiar Korean staple with a richer, modern twist that adds depth without losing the essence of the original. The perilla oil noodles are another standout, offering a lighter but still flavorful option with a distinct nutty aroma that lingers on the palate. The beef tartare adds a more refined element to the meal, fresh and well seasoned, while dishes like the ramyun fried rice bring a fun comfort food element with bold, savory flavors. Together, the menu covers enough ground that you can build a meal around both familiar favorites and more creative choices. Service is friendly and the overall experience feels welcoming rather than overly formal. The staff are attentive without hovering, and they handle the busy flow of the restaurant with a pace that keeps the meal moving without feeling rushed. The menu is designed for sharing, and the portions make it easy to order several dishes across the table, allowing you to try more of what the kitchen has to offer. The lively atmosphere adds to the meal, making it a good fit for group dinners where the energy of the room matches the pace of the food. Hojokban does a good job blending traditional Korean flavors with a more modern dining experience. It is a place where you can come for familiar comfort food while still finding dishes that feel creative and different. If you enjoy Korean cuisine and want a restaurant with a little more personality, this is a spot worth checking out. It delivers a meal that feels both familiar and fresh, striking a balance that makes it easy to return to and explore more of the menu.

The galbi-jjim was perfectly tender like I could literally pull it apart with my chopstick. The addition of the rice cake, pumpkin, and pyogo mushroom were a nice touch. The soy sauce base was a little sweet and if you take a bit and pour it over the mushroom sotbap, it is soooooooo good!!!!!!! The mushroom sotbap is so umami. There were just a couple of things that kept this from being a full 5 stars. My 5 year old was required to order an entrée. We were planning to order one anyway, but I still found it a bit unusual. I also requested a birthday candle with dessert for our celebration when I made a reservation, but unfortunately the request wasn't acknowledged. Despite those minor disappointments, we had a wonderful experience. The food and service really stood out, and I would definitely bring visiting friends and family here. I'd happily return again 4.5/5.
