My family (in-laws) have been coming here for over 60 years. Yes I said 60 years!! Ottomanelli's is a neighborhood fixture in the community and they have everything from cold cuts and fresh cut meats , fish and poultry ,sandwiches and salads They do special made to order foods as well and catering The same family has owed them all this time which is a huge deal the workers have also been there for many years we are all good friends and even tho we have moved from the neighborhood we still come into the city for our Holiday foods fresh Turkey and stuffing also enjoy the atmosphere such as the sawdust flooring. Prices are moderate to high but you will get great fresh quality. If you can stop by ...Make a visit and enjoy.

Ottomanelli Bros. Is historic. My friend Gary told me that they have a really good bran muffin. The employee said they were sold out and if I wanted one I need to get there 7:30 am when they open! The muffins are huge and are only $2.50! I decided to try the Coffee Cinnamon for breakfast tomorrow. I may call them one day and ask them to hold a bran muffin for me. I'm determined to try it. The service was prompt and price is excellent.

A long-established butcher shop on the Upper East Side. I have heard that they have great sandwiches and prepared foods. They have a great selection of sandwiches and prepared foods. The butcher's meat sauce in particular is to die for! Today, I got a rigatoni bolognese. It was delicious! I'm determined to have Sarloin lasagna next week!

I love these old school businesses. When you walk in and see the sawdust on the floor you're stepping into history. With over 100 years here in Yorkville it's one of the last real butcher shops. Still family owned and operated. Quality meats, along with a variety of other items such as stews, pastas, soups, sauces, sausages, seasonings, spaghetti & meatballs, chicken cutlets, and sandwiches made to order. Anything I have brought home from the place has been delicious. Knowledgeable staff. Can be a bit more pricey than the local supermarkets, but you're buying from a real 100 year old butcher shop and supporting a long time local biz.

When I saw the name "Ottomanelli" on the awning, I just had to stop by. When it comes to meat, Ottomanelli means quality. There's a bunch of NYC Ottomanelli locations from the same family (who established themselves in the early 1900s), but they're all independently operated (far as I can tell), so it's a bit confusing. Here's what I've uncovered from the deep rabbithole I went down trying to map out the Ottomanelli businesses in NYC: My introduction to them was F. Ottomanelli in Sunnyside, Queens (which combined with S. Ottomanelli to create a joint butcher and burger place). They are cousins with the most famous O. Ottomanelli & Sons on Bleecker (who was in the news a few years back for some... bad things. Look it up). And then this shop on 82nd street is Ottomanelli Bros, aka Ottomanelli Butcher Shoppe is from the same family. Phew. That was a lot. All that research calls for some food. Luckily, in addition to some beautiful cuts of meat, Ottomanelli Bros also has some amazing lunch specials. I got their special of the day - a sirloin lasagna, which was just perfect. Also got some chicken liver mousse, which was delicious and probably a third of the cost it would be downtown. Plus they have a whole sandwich menu. The chicken salad is very good. Best of all, the prices are amazing for the quality you get. I wish I hadn't just gone grocery shopping before I went (and that I wasn't on a diet) because I would've stocked up on just about everything they had in the butcher section. Next time!

We were reuniting with a friend we hadn't seen in nearly a decade and we couldn't have picked a better spot to catch up. We threw in a chopped salad and finished it off with their caramel dessert that somewhat resembled a tiramisu. Upon lifting the cylinder sleeve the delicious and light caramel sauce pours over the cake with crunch chocolate nibs sprinkled on top. It was empty when we visited during dinner time and the restaurant was not quite new so I had to admit I was a bit worried. However, our server was amazing and guided us through what to order. My family was visiting NY so I had my two kids with me. The set menu was per person but seeing my children, the server accommodated us by allowing us to order a set meal for two and not requiring us to order full sets for our two children as well. We ordered the Chef's Tasting menu as recommended. This came with plentiful of sides dishes, a scallion salad, a scallion pancake, and a choice of stew. The pancake was very thin and crispy. I think I am used to denser pancakes. The egg soufflé was delicious, much more flavorful than others I have tried. This set came with three cuts of pork. My favorite two were the pork jowl and pork belly. We also ordered a side of corn cheese, which is always a favorite for the kids. My husband accidentally ordered a pork noodle thinking it was something else. There was so much food that we couldn't finish, so the pork noodle was not memorable as a result. The fresh rice wine was a must for us when having Korean BBQ. That and the complimentary soft served ice cream at the end was the highlight of the meal for me. I think the soft served ice cream was topped with a pineapple syrup, but I am not certain. I still think about the ice cream now that I am back home from my NYC trip. Overall . an amazing restaurant with great service and great food. See my pictures.

When we pulled up to the restaurant, we were informed there were a few levels. We went to the second floor and they were happy to accommodate us. We were rolling 6 deep and the booth was enough for us, but barely. In our party, majority of us wanted meat with the exception of 2 people only wanting shrimp and something else. We got the large beef combination platter which comes with ribeye, thin skirt, brisket, marinated kalbi, and marinated chuck flap. Most people stuck with water, while a couple got ginger ale. I ordered the soju flight but I ended up not liking it so my cousins shared it. The meal comes with different veggies as well as your choice of soup. We got the spicy tofu and split it 6 ways. The spice lived up to its name, so I didn't eat very much. The best part was meat. Despite there being 6 of us, there was plenty to go around. I think you have the option to cook it yourself or have them cook it for you and we chose the latter. While I enjoyed it, I wish there was more space. Most of the space was taken up by the accompaniments that come with it (veggies, etc), so there was hardly any room to put anything else. It didn't help that none of our dishes were cleared once we finished them and that no rice is included. Aside from that, both the food and service were great.

Their menu leans into fusion dishes with a nod to some of the classic home-style classics. Everything is presented with a refined, elevated touch. Here's what we ordered: ~ Tako Wasabi - 5/5 stars A fiery delight. This appetizer feartures chopped raw octopus marinated in wasabi. It has a lively zest from the wasabi and is topped with tobiko, which adds a pleasant contrast in texture. ~ Honey Makgeolli - 4/5 stars A traditional fermented Korean beverage that is light and pairs brilliantly with your meal. It is a cloudy alcholoic drink served in a metal teapot, and surprisingly, there is much more in that teapot than you would expect. It easily provides six to eight generous pours. The flavor is subtly sweet with a pleasant tang. ~ Temaki Set - 4/5 stars You can order a set of three by choosing from selections 1-17, or you can order a la carte at the listed prices. Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. It is well worth the price and makes for a fun, interactive dining experience with your family and friends. There is also various banchan offered and this time, they were beyond kind enough to offer refills. The last time we were here, we ordered just as much food and they stated they normally did not offer refills, which I thought was very odd. With its casual bougie aesthetics, this spot has quickly become one of my favorite eateries in Fort Lee-lee, It beautifully blends Korean, Japanese, and American flavors in a way that feels both comforting and elevated. Needless to say, we will be back!
