The meat melts in your mouth. Perfect marbling.
    Yohei D.

Super friendly staff. Got the a5 wagyu here ! The cut is very well marbeled. The problem with eating wagyu is that once you eat it every other steak you eat will pale in comparison. The price is very fair for the quality of meat. The steak melts in your mouth and you don't even have to use oil as you can cook the steak in its own fat. I will come back here when I want to reward myself.

This is the place to buy Japanese premium beef, hence the name of the shop. They sell authentic wagyu beef here and sometimes they have a section where they have discounted meat since they're end parts. I've gotten washugyu beef here and picanha and it was amazing. The people working here are also very nice and recommend meats to you depending on how you want to cook it. They also sell real wasabi and other sauces here too!

Japan Premium Beef is the best place for high quality beef, especially Wagyu beef. Their service was amazingly friendly, supportive and helpful. I visited here without clear idea what I should get and explain with vague description but the staff was patient to introduce pros and cons of most of meat and what they served. The beef was extremely delicious with reasonable price and I will definitely come back to try their beef tongue (reservation needed).

Worst customer service with the manager. The store attendants are great. Do not give them your business, you are better off ordering online. I went into the store and paid for their 130/lb A5 and when I get home the meat looks like this on the inside, with the outside red. Who expects meat that expensive to be in this condition the same day you buy it and cut it to eat it. Full bait and switch. I then ask the manager to help resolve this and they tell me that they don't offer anything and he refuses to call me when I politely asked him to call me in the first email to talk about this. NO WAY TO TREAT ANY CUSTOMER.

Torching it was really fun & delicious

Yeah - I agree on 5 star to quality of meat. Meat that I bought from this place has an extraordinary quality. I purchased 1 Wagyu NY strip & 1 Washugyu NY strip. Just removing 3 letter from its name makes everything different, quality, taste, and of course the price. They were both good. One who were rating dinner with me didn't like Wagyu, as it was too fatty for them. I meant that is reason why we eat Wagyu meat but I learned its not for everyone(just like otoro tuna), she liked Washugyu better. Washugyu also had some buttery fatty flavor and more texture of meat. Some one who doesn't like fatty - greasy foods then it might be better option to get Washugyu. They are much cheaper too. Price does seem very high thou. Getting one pound of Wagyu costed me $130, and I am not sure if this is reasonable price thinking about price of Wagyu(A5) you get from other restaurants. It is not much saving from having Wagyu from restaurant even thou you will need to do all cooking & cleaning. So I didn't really find it as an attractive option but will be going there whenever I find myself craving for Wagyu beef. It's actually great to have this kind of shop in the neighborhood.

Wagyu, Washyugu Ribeye, and Beef Kirotoshi!

I was lucky enough that my girlfriend brought me here for my birthday to pick out some amazing steaks for that night's dinner. First, I was pleasantly surprised to see that there were pieces of Wagyu that had been marked down, making it a little easier for us to indulge. Their overall selection was pretty amazing, plenty of dry aged options and both Wagyu and Washugyu of all different varieties. Our cut of wagyu was delicious, and we are saving our cut of washugyu ribeye for future dining. But I dare say that the winner of the whole bunch was the beef Kirotoshi, which was so versatile that we were able to use it in both homemade pho and homemade gyudon with great success! It is a luxury store with a luxury product for sure, but if you're in the mood for an exceptional piece of steak that you wouldn't be able to get anywhere else in the area, then this is the place for you.

    A5 and washugyu

Great place for Wagyu. Staff was very nice and helpful, helped me pick the perfect steaks, and weighed everything a couple of times to make sure I got the best deal. Haven't tried the meat yet but they sure look amazing.

I ordered the stew with a side of banchan and white rice, the soup arriving steaming hot. It was a delicious, cozy dish. The staff was friendly and attentive, checking in at intervals. It was empty when we visited during dinner time and the restaurant was not quite new so I had to admit I was a bit worried. However, our server was amazing and guided us through what to order. My family was visiting NY so I had my two kids with me. The set menu was per person but seeing my children, the server accommodated us by allowing us to order a set meal for two and not requiring us to order full sets for our two children as well. We ordered the Chef's Tasting menu as recommended. This came with plentiful of sides dishes, a scallion salad, a scallion pancake, and a choice of stew. The pancake was very thin and crispy. I think I am used to denser pancakes. The egg soufflé was delicious, much more flavorful than others I have tried. This set came with three cuts of pork. My favorite two were the pork jowl and pork belly. We also ordered a side of corn cheese, which is always a favorite for the kids. My husband accidentally ordered a pork noodle thinking it was something else. There was so much food that we couldn't finish, so the pork noodle was not memorable as a result. The fresh rice wine was a must for us when having Korean BBQ. That and the complimentary soft served ice cream at the end was the highlight of the meal for me. I think the soft served ice cream was topped with a pineapple syrup, but I am not certain. I still think about the ice cream now that I am back home from my NYC trip. Overall . an amazing restaurant with great service and great food. See my pictures.

When we pulled up to the restaurant, we were informed there were a few levels. We went to the second floor and they were happy to accommodate us. We were rolling 6 deep and the booth was enough for us, but barely. In our party, majority of us wanted meat with the exception of 2 people only wanting shrimp and something else. We got the large beef combination platter which comes with ribeye, thin skirt, brisket, marinated kalbi, and marinated chuck flap. Most people stuck with water, while a couple got ginger ale. I ordered the soju flight but I ended up not liking it so my cousins shared it. The meal comes with different veggies as well as your choice of soup. We got the spicy tofu and split it 6 ways. The spice lived up to its name, so I didn't eat very much. The best part was meat. Despite there being 6 of us, there was plenty to go around. I think you have the option to cook it yourself or have them cook it for you and we chose the latter. While I enjoyed it, I wish there was more space. Most of the space was taken up by the accompaniments that come with it (veggies, etc), so there was hardly any room to put anything else. It didn't help that none of our dishes were cleared once we finished them and that no rice is included. Aside from that, both the food and service were great.

The effortless tranquility encourages you to slow down, enjoy the food, and get away from the everyday, hubbub. Their menu leans into fusion dishes with a nod to some of the classic home-style classics. Everything is presented with a refined, elevated touch. Here's what we ordered: ~ Tako Wasabi - 5/5 stars A fiery delight. This appetizer feartures chopped raw octopus marinated in wasabi. It has a lively zest from the wasabi and is topped with tobiko, which adds a pleasant contrast in texture. ~ Honey Makgeolli - 4/5 stars A traditional fermented Korean beverage that is light and pairs brilliantly with your meal. It is a cloudy alcholoic drink served in a metal teapot, and surprisingly, there is much more in that teapot than you would expect. It easily provides six to eight generous pours. The flavor is subtly sweet with a pleasant tang. ~ Temaki Set - 4/5 stars You can order a set of three by choosing from selections 1-17, or you can order a la carte at the listed prices. Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. It is well worth the price and makes for a fun, interactive dining experience with your family and friends. There is also various banchan offered and this time, they were beyond kind enough to offer refills. The last time we were here, we ordered just as much food and they stated they normally did not offer refills, which I thought was very odd. With its casual bougie aesthetics, this spot has quickly become one of my favorite eateries in Fort Lee-lee, It beautifully blends Korean, Japanese, and American flavors in a way that feels both comforting and elevated. Needless to say, we will be back!
