But after three months of work with both doctors, I feel so much relief that I've already exceeded my expectations for the treatment. Both doctors are kind, compassionate, and very attentive. They are great note takers and track my progress, asking very targeted follow-up questions and then emailing at-home exercise and stretching routines. They never rush through a session, and patiently answer all of my questions. I've used two other chiropractic offices before, but I absolutely can't ever consider going anywhere else. Problem 1: After making it clear that I was in excruciating, I can barely walk pain, the doctor told me that she couldn't treat me the same day, but that I would have to come back to be treated in the future. In all my years of chiro experience, including having now been to 2 others in the directly surrounding area, this has NEVER happened before. Problem 2: They are extremely unprofessional and disorganized. There is constant confusion about payments, how much one owes, whether or not doctors are in or out of network, you CANNOT trust that they will be able to verify anything with your insurance company accurately or correctly, etc. Oh, and they only take cash, but never have change. Really? A doctor who only takes cash? Again, never heard of such a thing. Problem 3: After 3 or so visits (which I regret having done in the first place) the doctor said "huh, you seem to be my problem patient for the week. I can't seem to quite get at that one area where you're out of alignment." She was entirely incapable of helping me get better. Again, I have never had a chiropractor who was unable - physically, professionally or what have you - of providing services that offered some degree of relief. Avoid at all costs and go to Dr. Grossi or Dr. Maddalo near by - they are both in an entire other league above!

I was referred to him from a family member after my chiropractor retired. I had seen my chiropractor for almost 15 years. I am a nurse and have chronic neck and back issues. The intake process was pleasant and long. Received X-rays, which being in the medical field felt the machine was old and outdated. After waiting for over an hour talking with the intake staff I asked if I'd be seeing the doctor. They told me I would need to make another appointment. I was pretty frustrated and told them didn't realize I wouldn't actually be seen. At that point they were able to get me a few minutes with the doctor. Dr Martone was pleasant and seemed knowledgeable. I specifically told him I did not want my neck manually manipulated. Which basically means him twisting my neck and cracking it, or adjusting it. I told him I had it done before and did not feel well after. In addition had taken care of a young woman who had manually manipulation done by a chiropractor and ended up with a carotid dissection and a massive stroke. Dr Martone assured me he would not do manual manipulation. He stood behind me and placed his hands on my head and neck and did exactly what I asked him not to do. I immediately felt sick to my stomach and asked why he did that. His reply was "well don't you feel better?" I did not. I promptly left the office and have not returned. As a nurse with more than 30 years of experience I was amazed at Dr. Martone's unprofessional behavior and arrogance. I honestly felt that the whole experience felt cult like in nature and really felt badly for the patients sitting in the waiting room. I have mentored and worked with hundreds of doctors in my career and to have someone lie to me and do something I asked not to be done to me only supports the uneasy feeling Dr Martone gave me. I would not recommend Dr Martone to others.
