Hired Louis back in 2022 and had been using him for bi-weekly service till Aug and (over) paid him for a couple of big projects along the way. I witnessed first hand the decline in his quality of work and customer service over time. Had numerous issues including the leakage in my backyard and broken sprinklers in front lawn. During the last few visits, the way he treated his long time customer was utterly disrespectful and unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone! read more

I have been a weekly customer for about 6-7 years. I have been extremely pleased with their service. They take care of my rental property as well as my home For the monthly fee they charge for once a week service, they will mow, clean up blow and trim. I also talk to Luis to do extra work around the property that is beyond the scope of weekly gardening services. He is an exceptional landscaper and has planted lawns, installed and repaired, irrigation. pruned giant shrubs, and can perform about any other task you want for your garden. These are services that I do believe are part of what I expect from a once a week gardening stop. For these larger jobs I call Luis, set a date, and let him use his talents to improve my garden. Every other weekly gardening service I have had to fire for either lousy work or for being too expensive. Irresponsible. Worst gardener ever, messed up with my yard. This is hot summer. He broke 3 Sprinklers and didn't come to fix them for one month. Grass half died in my front yard. Left things that way so that he could charge me for re-seeding. Also he didn't trim roses, bushes and weeds. He often promises but doesn't deliver. Luis and his team done an excellent job in our front and back yard. We were away for a year and our old Gardner we had only cut the front yard grass nothing else. When we return home it was a jungle. Our bamboos were so tall. Been a customer since 2014. Hired to do a yard clean-up and mulch, and then ongoing twice monthly yard service on a rental in Cambrian Park area of SJ. Fast froward to Spring 2016, contacted Luis for sprinklers & sod and drip for my own backyard. My experience is exactly like Vasisualliy T. who posted a review in 2016 Scheduled the initial appointment, during which I got an estimate and the first available day for the actual job in 3 weeks. 3 weeks later, no-one shows up. Calls ignored...eventually got job done by him.... but lost over a month, with no reason ever for the no call, no show. Results were good, but the experience soured me on Luis, and how he treated us. After sod installed, I thought I would give him another opportunity, and hired him to plant shrubs and start yard service at our home. Agreed he would start in 2 weeks....guess what...? NEVER showed up. never called, wasn't going to beg him again. Would not recommend after this experience, especially as now a long-time customer. read more

I requested a "clean up" followed up by every 2 week maintenance along with a few special projects. The bid we received was very reasonable; almost hard to believe compared to the others we had received. The clean up was amazing. Our yard looks better than it did with weekly gardening that we had for many years. Luis was here with his team and they spent most of the day working on our yard. We've gone through our fair share of gardeners unfortunately. I've found you either get very knowledgeable and very expensive, or reasonably priced with a mow and blow only, or lack of attention to details, like a weed in the grass or a dead branch. Luis with Flores has made us so happy since the first visit. They obviously know what they're doing with pruning, since our various types of plants and flowers have never looked so good, including a few I'd given up on surviving. They fixed problems I didn't know I had in our yard, and I don't feel I have to go follow their footsteps after they leave to get the weeds they missed. I interviewed Luis last summer, liked him very much but hired another gardener instead because he seemed to offer the same service at a lower price. I like Luis so much as my gardener that I have to write another updated review. I recently hired Luis to add mulches to my garden. In between the job, we found that my garden pipe was broken and needed to be fixed (causing low pressure and cannot activate the watering properly). Overall, the jobs between adding mulch and fixing the pipes took over 6 hours, but Luis patiently and did everything perfectly. He even came back same day to fix the pipes. We hired Luis and his team for a pretty big landscaping project. My husband & I bought all the materials, and Flores Gardening did all the Labor. We needed weeds removed, weed barrier fabric installed, mulch and/or rocks added on top, new plants planted, new sod installed, and new drip system installed in the backyard. Their quotes were one of the best we received. They worked very efficiently and went above and beyond to please us. Sometimes, there were some communication gaps as to arrival times, etc. but I'd still keep them at 5 out of 5 stars overall. We plan to hire them for ongoing maintenance as well. We've been using Flores Gardening for about two years now. His quote for bi-weekly gardening services was very reasonable. I'm not sure how responsive he is via phone, given the other complaints here, but he's immensely responsive via text messaging. He always addresses whatever I raise via messaging. By way of example, last Tuesday morning I texted him requesting a particular bush to be trimmed. By the evening, it was done (granted, Tuesday is the day he does our yard work). Luis recently came to our house for fixing our fence and trimming my large mulberry in the backyard. His partner and he really did a great job and also gave us a very reasonable price. Although Luis gave you fair price, he didn't do your job roughly. His partner and he trim our tree nicely according to our request and then cleaned our backyard for us. I remembered that day they spent more than five hours fixing the fence and trimming the mulberry, so the only thing I could say is that the money you paid them really worth it. Luis was very prompt to our requests and showed up early morning on a weekend to give us a quote for the work in our patio. He gave us a very reasonable quote for installing sprinkler system, soil and planting some plants. He also has wholesale discounts with central nursery in south bay, which can give you lower price. We selected out plants at the nursery and kept them overnight there for Luis to pick them up next day.
