I would like to start off and say I have never posted a negative review, however I would like to share my experience with Rio Gardening, so everybody can make an informed decision. The day prior I sent videos of our garden in order to get an estimate and had a pleasant phone conversation where we both agreed that a good communication is important. He made an offer next day morning and I accepted. Then things started to unravel. He is sending me pictures of tree service that I never asked for, but won't answer the question if he could start next week. I declined the tree service and asked when he will be able to start the regular service, so we can talk in person about our needs. He then proceeds to get really mad and told me that he won't know his schedule till he is back in front of his computer (which is absolutely fine and could saved us the whole misunderstanding if he had mentioned that right in the beginning) and that I should be looking for someone else. I have no idea why he blew up like this and can only assume that not going for the upselling might be part of the reason. Rios Gardening acted rude, completely unprofessional and really don't understand how to communicate. Rios is DA best!!! I've used him for years now, he will help plot my plants, make deep holes in the dirt for me so I can plant trees, flowers and whatever else I like. He has helped me remove large trees and huge bushes and do my annual pruning with larger trees. He basically does everything and is nice to work with. Just had Atilano come yesterday (Monday) for an estimate to remove a TON of large weeds and do some clean up. As my waste/garbage schedule is for Wednesday, he was able to come back today (Tuesday) and do the work. He doesn't just weedwack the stuff either, he pulled the larger weeds, some up to 2' high by hand and then sprayed the smaller stuff. He also cleaned up all the front and back yards of dry leaves left from winter and even skim netted the stuff that fell into the pool. Being a retired landscape contractor I understand what it requires to do a good, thorough job and Atilano did it all - and by himself no less. Don't hesitate to hire Rios gardening. You won't regret it. Oh and his prices are fantastic/reasonable!!! He will be coming back to do some landscape work for us in the very near future. read more
