Nonnina's is a cozy and intimate Italian restaurant located in the heart of the village of Wappingers. Service was warm, friendly and not rushed. This was my first dining experience, but it felt like it's the type of place that you could casually enjoy your dining experience and conversation. Good cocktail selection, mocktails too and the affogato was delicious

I'm obsessed. I eat here way too much since it's opened or even delivery through DoorDash is still delicious as in person. The seafood salad with the fresh shaved fennel is the perfect unique flavor that is a staple in a nonna's kitchen but I feel like never on a restaurant menu and I truly would eat it every day if I could. The service is ALWAYS amazing from the cool bartenders, the original inventor of the tiramisu espresso martini or the best waitress, Madison. Overall busy and hard to get a table sometimes! It is nice though that the vibes at the bar are always welcoming. Even when it's busy they don't mind if you order the full menu at the bar which I love!

We were very excited to try the new Italian restaurant in the village! 2 of us walked in on a Friday night without a reservation and sat immediately in the bar area. The place is beautifully decorated and has a contemporary design. We each ordered a drink; the La Costiera spritz which was excellent with a unique nutty flavor and the Dolce Limone which was a sweet limoncello drink. We will certainly return for drinks. As an appetizer we had the Croquettes and those were very tasty! For dinner we had the Gnocchi Alla Norma and Cavatelli. We thoroughly enjoyed those dishes. Clearly curated flavors in each with homemade pasta. The Cavatelli was fresh and came with shrimp. The Gnocchi was good, but had some oddly large pieces of cheese mixed in. For the price it would have been nice to have a protein with the Gnocci. We did notice however that for an Italian restaurant there were some traditional elements missing. There was no included bread for the table and that would've been nice to enjoy with the leftover sauce from dinner. The dinners also did not come with salads which I usually enjoy with my Italian meals at that price point especially compared to competition nearby. The menu could also be a bit larger with some classic choices added in. It is clear the owners/operators take pride in Nonnina's and we certainly will be back to try more!

Nonnina's is a non-pretentious, casual atmosphere, upscale Italian cuisine restaurant. Great for date night (casual) or gathering of friends, but you can also meet up at the bar. The food is top notch, the staff (across the board - wait staff, bartenders, chefs) are excellent and work well together. They specifically ask if you have food allergies and they have gluten-free options. There is a separate bar area that does not interfere with or interrupt the dining area; and it looked like a GREAT group of people there. It's not a sports bar, so if that's your thing...this is not your place. This is not really a place to bring children (which I kinda like). This is more geared for the adult crowd. There is some parking spots dedicated to Nonnina's and some street parking. The Village of Wappingers has another great spot, and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND you make reservations/dine here.

    Bar area decor, LOVE!

Nonnina's is an amazing add to the village of Wappingers! The food is so yummy with lots of great options. We loved the croquettes, wild boar ragù, kale Caesar, and shrimp cavatelli. All homemade pastas and delicious Pinsas great for sharing! A more elevated, cozy Italian dining experience with a really great diverse cocktail menu too. The decor is so fun and beautiful with your nonna's pictures all on the wall and beautiful plates in the main dining room that remind me of the ones my Nonna had growing up. It really is a place you walk into and feel like family. The service was wonderful and accommodating. They are a kind, welcoming team who ensures you have a lovely dining experience. We will absolutely be back!

Cannot say enough great things about this place...food, drinks & staff are all outstanding

The dippy duet of the tapenade and pistachio cream dip thing (sorry forgot the name) delicious. We ordered an entree to share and everyone raved about the lamb chops. Safe to say we'll be back. Such a good deal, $40 for 2 glasses from their signature wine list and a charcuterie board of your choice. The server was kind and informative, very friendly and open to conversation. She suggested the board with smoked mackerel, served with warm bread, avocado crema, juicy cherry tomatoes and gherkins. Beautifully presented and so delicious. We loved our Pinots and of course I indulged in a second glass. Peace, The Happy Hour Huntress

Our friendly server Rob was extremely attentive and provided descriptions on the various entrees. I started with a light, delicious cherry Bellini. Not too sweet, a beautiful color of pink bubbly goodness! Just what the doctor ordered! Husband had a great local IPA out of Brooklyn. When he couldn't decide, he was offered a samples to try. My entree was the best Pasta Bolognese I've had in a very long time! I'm an Italian and it transcended me back to childhood in my mother's kitchen! The rich abundant meat flavor blended perfectly with the spiced tomato sauce! It was a truly delicious dish ladled over the cooked just right al dente pasta! Deliciousness at 100% ! I highly recommend it! Husband had the huge, thick cut , bone in pork chop! Unbelievable flavor! The glaze was deliciously savory with hidden tastes of sweet Asian over perfectly charred cut up sweet potatoes and sticky rice on the side. Both our dinners portions were very large offering plenty for another meal at home. This was our fourth visit to the restaurant . Next time we are traveling up here to Poughkeepsie for work from Boston area we will certainly return! Each visit gets better and better! It makes me realize why familiar faces return regularly to the restaurant. The owner Tom is so welcoming and friendly. The food is not only excellent but the friendly atmosphere the whole staff provide makes it a winning combination! You all are so lucky to have this restaurant near by! Deliciousness and the best hospitality with fair pricing is hard to beat! I wish I took pictures!

We went for a late lunch and were pleasantly surprised by how attentive the service was. The setting alone is quiet, scenic, and relaxing, adding to the experience feeling special. We're particular about cocktails, and the specialty drinks leaned a bit sweet and light for our taste, but switching to a Grey Goose martini solved that quickly. The standout of the meal was the special appetizer, the Lobster Escargot. Between the bread service and the rich, bisque-like sauce layered over the classic preparation, I could have happily ended the meal right there. We left no trace behind. I followed with the crab cake and wedge salad. The crab cake was generously sized, very fresh, and exactly what I hoped for. My husband ordered the branzino, which was absolute perfection, beautifully cooked and full of flavor. The sides, however, were less memorable; the smashed potatoes and green beans felt under-seasoned and a bit boring compared to the rest of the meal. Overall, it was a lovely anniversary lunch with memorable dishes and a beautiful view.
