My partner grew up going to Florham Park Pizza, so when were in the area around Christmas time, we had to stop by! They've been under new ownership for the last few years, so it's not the same as what he grew up with, but it's a classic, casual, nostalgic, NJ pizzeria and it totally hit the spot for us. The manager who assisted was was cheerful and patient...with us and with all of the other customers that walked in. Keep her around! They offer a ton of pizza options. We ended up ordering: -slice of drunk grandma (thinner, crisper crust) -slice of traditional grandma -chicken cheese roll We dined in so our items were reheated in the oven, and then brought to our table...we enjoyed all the warm, melty, cheesy goodness. I popped in and was pleasantly surprised by the variety of slices offered. You want chicken marsala on a slice? They've got it. You want ham and pineapple? They've got it. You want mushroom, caviar, sushi roll with onions? They don't have it and you should probably reevaluate some of your life decisions. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and the woman behind the counter was available to answer any of my questions. The Chicken Parm slice was well cooked and a good sized sample. It wasn't too thin or crispy and definitely hit the spot. It was $4.80 which is the going rate in the area. The dining area has a full booth, two partial booths and two tables with four chairs apiece. There was soft music playing in the background and it wasn't too loud. My family ordered tonight for the 2nd time from the new owners. Unfortunately we were once again disappointed. While the staff was very friendly and nice, the food was not up to Florham Park Pizza's usual standards. We ordered a Sicilian pie. It was huge, which is great, but it was so big the cheese was touching the top of the box and when we opened it, a lot of the cheese came off. We also ordered the chicken and eggplant rolls. Very good and typical NJ pizza. If you're from the area, the pizza is a cross between Godfather and Nonna. It's got the crust of Godfather (just not as dense), but the tomato sauce is a little brighter like Nonna. So, less filling and tastes great. But the big draw for us is the wings. They do Buffalo chicken wings like the way they used to be in the 90s. Remember how originally Buffalo wings in New Jersey were just the chicken wings with the skin and the Buffalo sauce, without all that stupid heavy flower batter and breading like they do at Godfather and Nonna? I don't know why restaurants use all that heavy flour and batter and breading on the wings. This place does wings the way they used to be, which for us is a huge selling point. The Caesar salad sucks, however. The dressing is awful. And the lettuce is not really restaurant quality, more like high school cafeteria quality. Maybe middle school. The dressing doesn't even taste like Caesar. I don't know what it tastes like actually. I've never licked mayonnaise off the floor and Stop & Shop but that could be it. That's okay because we just order dressing on the side and then throw it out when it gets here and replace it with bottled dressing from the refrigerator. Chicks. read more

Talk about a family-run business. While I waited for my slice to heat, an older Italian-speaking gentleman shouted back and forth with the pizzaiolo, with a well-worn tone. The vibe in here is almost excessively casual. I wouldn't mind a refreshed, less drab interior. That said, the Buffalo chicken pizza was one of the best examples I've ever had. Instead of veering into overly hot, it had a lengthy and satisfying profile. The pizza was served hot enough that I initially couldn't hold it, but it was worth the wait. There are lots of choices for pizza in the Florham Park area and I've been to most of them. To me, Florham Park Pizza is the best in town. Is it a big place with a fancy dining room? No...it's a small old school place which just makes awesome pizza! It's been a couple of years since I'd been here, and not only hasn't it changed, but the pizza was better than I even remembered. The new owners have some big shoes to fill as FP Pizza had a very loyal following for literally decades. I finally made my first order and they knocked it out of the park ! The location has been known for its amazing Grandma Pie. The best I've had having tried it at at least 20 places over the years. I was a little nervous to see how'd they would do with it. We ordered one of those plus a chicken parm sub. The Grandma was awesome! Tremendous flavor from the sauce and fresh basil. Just enough cheese . That will continue to be a "go to" for me. Chicken parm hero was excellent as well too. People say it's a hard item to screw up. Believe me - I've had some abysmal versions! It was "just right" in ingredient proportions. On the plus side, the pizza is good. On the minus side, no one cooking wears either hats (ie., hair covering) or gloves. Also, the tables are only infrequently wiped down. Usually, a customer would have to make a request to have their table wiped before sitting down. This is true even when they're not busy and just standing around. Plenty of Spanish music playing in the background if that's your thing. This makes the ambiance interesting. read more

The Buffalo chicken pizza was very good. You have to ask for ranch to be put on it though. Attached is a picture. It was pretty busy with pickup orders for a Thursday night. I think they are known for their grandma slice so I want to try that next. read more

At Florham Park Pizza they're dishing out some of the best Pizza A-round. With a crispy crust that's slightly thin but still hearty enough to hold everything together and topped with a very tasty flavorful blend of cheese. But to Me it's all about this dynamically outstanding old world style sauce, Bravissimo!!             We sometimes order from FPP for work functions, get togethers, and pizza parties and they always leave a lasting impression on everyone's satisfaction level as well as our bellies. I'll stop in for lunch whenever I get the chance to grab a slice or two and I can never say enough good things.    It's always interesting to see how different places adapt [or don't] to all this Covid Craziness and here they got it all down pat. One certainty about life is that change is inevitable. Lived in town for 25-30 years and looks to be an end of an era. Everything points to the fact that there has been an ownership change at Florham Park Pizza. Thanks to Mussolino family for the great food and passion they brought to the community. They cared about the town and their customers. From a food perspective, I saw a massive drop in the taste and quality of the sandwich I ordered. Want to be fair as could be learning curve. Different bread...tasteless. Eggplant parm had no sauce. Why change the food so fast as shock customers? I wasn't aware I was ordering a completely different sandwich. We stopped in here on Saturday for a couple of meatball parm subs to go. They told us we could sit outside and they would bring them out to us. Outstanding pizza. Good balance of superb sauce, top rate cheeses, and thin (but not too thin) crust, like the best of the best Rays in NYC. Absolutely delicious (photogenic too)! Have had the cheese and the white pizzas. Friendly, prompt service. Ample parking: is part of a very attractive strip mall. Has outdoor tables with chairs and umbrellas for shade. (Don't know if this will continue during the winter.) My waistline permitting and when I'm in the area, I'll partake again and again. read more

We ordered 2 pizzas for take out tonight - the Margherita pizza was very good but the Veggie pizza was awful! The veggies were cut up so small it almost looked like they were pureed and the entire pizza was very soggy. This was the first time here after the change in ownership and we were disappointed. I will more than likely give it another chance but with veggie pizzas being one of our favorites, we can only hope this was a "one off". read more

we used to order from FP Pizza often. The last time they got our order completely wrong (wanted a cheese pizza with broccoli and a turkey sub dry (no mayo, no oil, no vinegar, no onions). we got a white ricotta cheese pizza with broccoli and a turkey sub with mayo, oil, vinegar and onions. I called back and they said they would send a new pizza and sub right away, which they did. when it came, all the cheese from the pizza was in the corner of the box not on the pizza. I sent it back as well as the first sub and pizza. they said they would credit my Visa card. I never got a credit. I don't know what's going on with this place, it used to be good. the past three times, not so much and this last event put an end to them for us. I also asked my friends and they agreed, they're not going to FP pizza any more. What a shame. Time to sell or step up your game! read more

A small shop in the strip mall, they were voted at once point the best pizza in the area (on their chalkboard), and they served up a delicious ranch chicken bacon slice and a pretty decent mushroom pepperoni (the mushrooms weren't the plain kind, either, they tasted like they'd added some pepper and marinade). Ordered for our office for lunch. Picked up order and realized when we got to the office that one salad ($10.50) was missing but we had an extra entree ($15.50). Called and they agreed it was their mistake and they charged us for the more expensive entree, tried to get us to just keep the entree instead of our ordered salad. Finally agreed to send the salad and they insisted that they needed to take back the other entree, fine. They dropped off the salad and never picked up the other entree. Amount charged to our card in no way matches prices on line or prices in print menu. Looks like we were overcharged almost $20. Called back again , they say the print menu prices are wrong on line is correct but still does not add up to what we were charged. Finally got my extremely soggy Caesar salad with bone dry grilled chicken. read more
