Rock solid BBQ at a good price. The restaurant smelled of Smokey food and the sauces were delicious. The pulled pork sandwich was well cooked and just Smokey enough. The Mac and Cheese was nice and cheesy. A great stop and we will be back

3.5 stars. It was dinner time and I hadn't decided what to eat. While on my way to the store, I drove past, saw the sign and made a u-turn. The place wasn't too busy so I was greeted and seated right away. I pretty much already knew that I wanted ribs so that made ordering the full rack with a side salad an easy choice. I asked that the ribs not come with the extra sauce on them and they didn't. This was great because I got to taste the other 3 sauces that they have. I preferred the one described as having a vinegar base. The salad was fresh and crisp. The housemate blue cheese dressing was perfect. The ribs were a little tiny bit dry - like right at the beginning of being over warmed. Nothing egregious enough to warrant sending them back...or to keep me from coming back. I was already eyeing the rib special on the daily special menu. Nonetheless they offered to take them back or replace. I graciously declined and ate my dinner. To my surprise my, a small discount was taken off my bill. Overall not too bad.

It has been awhile since I had been here. My husband and I joined some friends for dinner here about a couple of years ago. (I think) Anyway, my husband and I decided that a little BBQ would be just the thing! When we entered this establishment, we were greeted by the friendly hostess and were seated in a booth by a window. and got us our sweet teas. The menu has been designed as a placemat as to be able to be recycled after use. My husband and I ordered our dinners and enjoyed conversation with another couple from a nearby table. Our server brought me my pulled pork dinner with homemade Mac and cheese and a side salad along with my hubby's baby back ribs with homemade Mac and cheese and a side salad. Our food was very delicious and the baby back ribs literally melted in your mouth. Their mac and cheese was very creamy and flavorful. Side salad was also freshly made and crisp yummy. Our server was prompt, friendly and made sure that we had everything that we needed. She was excellent. The place was very clean, staff very professional and efficient while food was top notch! We shall be back here!

Little outdated inside but the food never disappoints. Ribs fall off the bone, okra is delicious and fresh. Our server Mary was very nice.

Maybe it's hubs' military background, but the man is all about strategy. His game plan was to…read morefigure out the perfect dinner spot where we could catch an epic Sanibel sunset, then still have enough time to roll over for a hallmark view of the July 4th fireworks. Mission accomplished. Lighthouse Waterfront is huge with a big dining rm on one side and another section closer to the left overlooking the outdoor deck sitting right on the water. If you're chasing sunset vibes, this deck is where it's at. We started with a dozen meaty oysters and a hot crab dip with crispy wontons to dip. For our main plates, hubs ordered the thick-cut bone-in pork chop and loved it while I went with the seasoned grilled swordfish. I had the Dubai Chocolate cocktail and I'll give them props for that pistachio rim and the dark chocolate drizzle.....that Hershey's syrup crap. The only downside was it could've packed a punch. But then again- between my recent trip to Miami/Ft Lauderdale and now Sanibel...I haven't had a drink that would know the shit out me here. No offense. Anyhow, to wrap things up, we shared a slice of key lime pie. That's basically mandatory when you're down here. It was good, but honestly, the real treat was watching that Sanibel sunset. Service was ok- I just wished our young server was more present. On the plus side, when he'd showed up, he made sure to help at any given moment. We finished dinner, headed out to the deck and soaked in every second of the sunset before making our way to catch the fireworks elsewhere.

So very disappointed. This used to be our favorite place to bring out of town guests. Not…read moreanymore. Where to start. 1)Our servers were amazing. 2) Drinks - pathetic. $16.00 for a lime martini that tasted like a melted popsicle and was a total of 6 oz. Tasted no alcohol. 3) crab dip a 3 inch skillet of carb dip with 10 small pita chips. No taste at all and $19.00. 4) shrimp with garlic and butter over linguini - it was basically pho soup. $28.00. 5) and the best of all. Lobster Mac n cheese. It was macaroni with (I kid you not) seafood bisque over top and a small ramekin of Parmesan cheese $50.00. The man playing music (nice island vibe) in the corner was so loud I could not hear my husband across the table. In fact most asked to move to the other side but it was closed off or outside because it was so loud. Did I mention it was 95 degrees. 5 or so parties were seated after us, and while we were not at all in a hurry, every one of them received their meals prior to us and left before we received our food. Our server felt bad so she offered us some bread for the extra wait. (Shouldn't that be standard). We didn't complain and paid the over $150.00 bill plus a nice tip and the 3% charge for using a card. No manager came to ask how the meal was and at this point we were over it. Asked for a take home box and left. I can also tell you the menu was extremely limited. No crab dishes, no scallop dishes? A seafood restaurant not anymore? What happened? New management, owners? And yes we've been there since IAN so can't blame the hurricane. We will only visit Lobster Lady from now on. I sound like I just want to complain but I don't. I know it's off season and don't ever expect perfection. This was worse than horrible. Beware. It's not what it once was. Sadly! Sorry no pictures mostly out of shock but the water feature that used to be so picturesque outside was green algae.

OOPS, I did it again. I ordered the oysters. Darn fine oysters. For my main, I ordered their Gumbo. The Gumbo is unusual in that there was no shrimp or fish, just sausage. It was delicious. Mrs. K. ordered a fish sandwich; she did not eat it. She said it had an extreme fishy taste. I was asked to taste it; I declined. I did smell it; it smelled fishy. Cod should not present a problem.

I also ordered hog fish * a Fl delicacy described as follows: Considered superior in taste and texture, often marketed as the "filet mignon of the sea". Well folks I was served tilapia and charged $28 for a $7 dollar dish. I hope the owner is reading this because you know it's dead wrong. I questioned the waitress Staci because I know this was bogus. Not her fault she does not run the kitchen. I did tell her I planned on reviewing the experience...... after 2 bites I took the food to go so I could prove that they knowingly price gouge customers. I was shocked to learn that misrepresenting fish in FL is considered a food violation and a finable offense....now i have evidence so let's see where this goes. Anyway guys when you go to Salty Papa order chicken wings and cheap drinks others they will try to scam you. See pics of tilapia vs their hogfish *same cheap fish. Also adding pics of real delicacy. This place is a fraud. Owner left a very aggressive response. Not sure why when you got your $28 and I left my phone number. No need to be Sassy if you are really customer satisfaction tag you're it.
